MIUI.us v4 2.7.13 Porting Error - Huawei Ideos X6

Hi,
I am noob to android. I recently started porting MIUI.us v4 2.7.13 to our device. (Spice MI410). I got boot animation successfully but, the phone enters to bootloop after that. I have followed the method suggested by CK and proxuser. And the logcat shows the below error.
E/dalvikvm( 227): ERROR: couldn't find native method
E/dalvikvm( 227): Requested: Lcom/android/server/PowerManagerService;.nativeStartSurfaceFlingerOffAnimationI)V
E/JNIHelp ( 227): RegisterNatives failed for 'com/android/server/PowerManagerService', aborting
F/libc ( 227): Fatal signal 11 (SIGSEGV) at 0xdeadbaad (code=1)
But both in my base ROM and MIUI ROM PowerManagerService is not available in com/android/server (After I decompiled the framework.jar)
Please help me???????

Thanks CK. I will try.

maybe this thread will help you to port miui to our device,

Hi Thanks Guys.
Special thanks to azranashraf, for the xda reference and CK for resolving the Powermanager service question.
I had some issues in porting MIUI.us 2.7.13(I will post my issues later). SO I tried MIUI RD 2.5.25 and successfully booted in to lockscreen. But now the problem is I got an error message in the lockscreen which says com.android.phone process has stopped and even if I hit ok, it is not closing(Loop).
Can anyone help me with that?
Edit:
I also booted the MIUI.us 2.7.13 in to lockscreen(Fixed the Powermanager issues). But still this one is also having the same issues as my MIUI-RD. Soon I will post my logcat. Please help me with this.

I have attached my build.prop also for your reference.
Also FYI, I am having the same "Unfortunately COM.ANDROID.PHONE process has been stopped" error in MIUI.US 2.7.13
Also attaching the logcat and build.prop for the above.

try follow CK guide carefully

"unable to resolve new-instance 4706 (Lcom/android/internal/telephony/LGEQualcommRIL in Lcom/android/internal/telephony/PhoneFactory"
try to fix that.
You need to patch PhoneFactory.smali to construct your class instead of RIL:
find "RIL" word (there will be 2 entries) and replace them to "LGEQualcommRIL".
Make sure you've copied and replaced all RIL*.smali and copy LGEQualcommRIL*.smali at
/smali/com/android/internal/telephony ín framework.jar. Also copy QualcommSharedRIL.smali from that CM9 base. And also LGEQualcommUiccRIL.smali if exist (different CM9 base might be not exist).

I did that too. If I copy QualcommSharedRIL.smali, then I am getting some error. I am having a logcat for that. Soon I will upload that too.
Thanks for replies.

good Ibhi.... for making 10, post thanks in other thread ... that can help you .. also for making thread you need to have 40 post, 10 post barrier is for commenting in development section, so you can post thread in general section, then we can request moderator to shift it to development section (these are rules from what I am aware, not read it in rule book hence may be I am wrong)
Best of luck Ibhi for your first port ...:good:

I don't understand why it doesn't work, in think that some things misses in the odex file because the are smaller then the original, how can I create valid odex files to get working rom?

Nexus 7 keeps resetting

I did a factory reset of the device, connect to wiki didn't set up google account, no extra apps installed. Upgraded to 4.1.1.
Every minutes or two, the device will reset itself and sometime it will get stuck at X. Press power button for 10 seconds and it will reset. However it just keeps resetting, I can't stop that.
I enabled the usb debugging and do a adb logcat and get the follow message before it reset:
Code:

[GUIDE + Microphone Fix][NOOB Friendly] Port CM9 / CM10 Based Roms

Intro
Code:
/* Last Time i got multiple Requests how to FIX Ril in CM9/CM10 Based Roms
/* Now, i figured out how to get the Mic working and how to port the
/* CM10/CM9 Based Roms, with extended explaining how to and
/* logcats with the problem what needs to be fixed!
/* This Thread tell you all Informations and will show Picture based
/* Informations also ;)
Now lets start ^^
Step 1
Its quietly easy:
-extract both Roms in two folders, like the base Rom (CM9/CM10 from your Device) in a Folder named Port and the (CM9/CM10 based) Rom from the Device from that u wanna port in a Folder like "Orig/Original"
Picture:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
- Now delete the following Folders in "Port" Folder (the specific folders are placed in /system): /app ; /framework ; /fonts ; /media
Picture:
- Open both Folders once more and move the /app ; /framework ; /fonts ; /media folder from "Original/system" Folder in the "Port/system" Folder
Picture:
-Now u have the basic thing in it
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Step 2
- now delete from the "Port/system/lib" Folder this File: android_runtime.so
- Now move the android_runtime.so from the "Original/system/lib" Folder in the "Port/system/lib" Folder ^^
Picture:
- Now u need to modify the build.prop (Notepad++)! Open both in Notepad+ and delete the "ro.build.description=
ro.build.fingerprint=" Line from the original build.prop!
- Open the build.prop from the "Original/system Folder" and copy the "ro.build.description=
ro.build.fingerprint=" Lines
- Now re-open the build.prop from the the "Port/system" Folder and paste the lines below "# Do not try to parse ro.build.description or .fingerprint" Line!
Picture:
Now save it
-Zip all Folders and Files in the "Port" Folder!
-Try to flash it and try to BOOT it ... (I think that it wont boot)
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Step 3
I think it wont boot (U will see a long time the Bootanimation and nothing will happen)
Its just a lib related error:

What is easy to fix: Replace the android_servers.so in "Port/system/lib" Folder with the one in Original/system/lib Folder
Picture:
Now re-zip all Files and Folders in the /Port Folder and it should boot now after u flashed it!
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Step 4
Maybe u get always a Phone FC Error or no one can hear u while u are calling someone! :silly:
Thats an Ril related error
Now u think, what should i do, right?
Hmm u need to decompile both framework.jar´s from "Port/system/framework/" and the one from ur base zip like CM9 or CM10 from your device!
u need apktool for that, its not related for framework.jar´s when u have a gingerbread apktool (1.4.3) or an ics one! its only related that u know how to decompile, recompile and repack the jar (winrar)
rename the framework.jar from your CM9 or CM10 (your Device, NOT FROM THE "PORT" Folder) to framework-orig.jar and put it in apktool folder!
Place the framework.jar from the "Port" folder also in the apktool folder
Now 2 simple commands in apktool cmd window:
Code:
apktool d framework-orig.jar
and
Code:
apktool d framework.jar
let it decompile and close the window only when there is a word: "Done"!
Now open framework.jar.out folder and framework-orig.jar.out folder, yet open in both folders: /smali/com/android/internal/telephony ^^
copy all files which start with RIL and end with .smali and placed in the framework-orig.jar.out/smali/com/android/internal/telephony Folder and put it in the framework.jar.out/smali/com/android/telephony Folder (replace them all)
Some Devices have in build.prop a specific Ril Class Path! Mine is: "ro.telephony.ril_class=JellaxyRIL" urs can variate after the "="! If this is the case, look once more in framewok-orig.jar.out/smali/com/android/internal/telephony and search for "JellaxyRIL" or how ur´s is called after "=" in the RIL Class
Now copy the "JellaxyRIL.smali" (Its the one from my base Rom) or whatever in the other Folder "framework.jar.out/smali/com/android/telephony" !
Now re-compile it:
Code:
apktool b framework.jar.out
let it compile, it takes a few minutes (depends on ur PC Speed)
Now open the framework.jar from "apktool" Folder with WinRAR
and move the classes.dex from "apktool/framework.jar.out/build/apk in the opened WinRAR Window and let it re-pack, now close the Windows (WinRAR) and move the new framework.jar from /apktool in "Port/system/framework"
Voila, Mic Working and no more Phone FC´s!
If u have a problem with it, pm me with the following files:
framework.jar (from the Rom u wanna port), framework.jar (from your base CM10 or CM9) and your build.prop (from ur base CM10 or CM9)

May barebone your Rom will improve the stability
Some apps u can remove:
*QuickSearchBox.apk
*STK.apk
*GoogleMail.apk (Mail.apk is still included, so why there should be 2 Mail Apps )
*Term.apk (Terminal Emulator)
*Voice Dialer (Its not the phone and takes also no effect to it)
*VideoEditor.apk (WTF who wants to cut Videos over android 0.o
oh i forgot about that step:
move from "Port/system/etc/permissions" Folder, all Files to "Original/system/etc/permissions" Folder (Replace them) and move them all back to "Port/system/etc/permissions" Folder! One more Thing: if Superuser isn´t working, take the "su File from "Original/system/xbin" and move it to "Port/system/xbin" Folder and replace it!

Port to TF201 - Surfaceflinger issues

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to port to ubuntu touch to my tf201 but I'm experiencing a few problems (which I'm sure could be easily ironed out by someone in the know!).
When booting I believe there may be something awry with the drivers I'm using as sufaceflinger is unable to start.
Here's my kmsg for starters: (maybe not because new user...)
paste. ubuntu. com
/5943500/
at about line 882 it's failing to initalise a couple things, later I get repeated messages like so:
[ 17.715865] TF : INFO 00000017 11:37:02.362 P-0021 T-0023 HDCP SERVICE --- >> Cr <<

I checked in the logcat at it looks like because this service is not running surfaceflinger can't get a move on:

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can go forward? I'm jumping in the deep end here as my android/kernel knowledge is small, but I'm highly motivated to get this working.
Thanks in advance
Matt
I see there " no suitable EGLConfig found" . Do you have egl.cfg in /system/lib/egl/ ??

yep, I've essentially used the same config as the tf700t:
0 0 android
0 1 tegra
I'm starting to think it may have something to do with permissions to open the display from the ubuntu side of things. If i attempt to run surfaceflinger I get a seg error like so:
[email protected]:/# /system/bin/surfaceflinger
Attempting to load EGL implementation /system/lib//egl/libEGL_tegra_impl, version: 1.0.0
NvEglRedirInit: requested version 1.0.0 egl driver version: 1.0.0
Loaded EGL implementation /system/lib//egl/libEGL_tegra_impl
[1]+ Stopped /system/bin/surfaceflinger

I'm seeing the same kinds of things on my tablet port I am attempting. Did you make any progress?
I think it is an issue with HWcomposer. I tracked the segfault into the HW composer library which was actually not being rebuilt, it was trying to use the original from the Android install. I have moved some of the source from the Android HW composer into the UT built and been working on it but its a real pain getting them to build together.

Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer. CyanogenMod 10 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.1.2 (Jellybean), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FLASHING
Do a FULL WIPE first. Full Wipe means format /system, /data, /cache.
Now flash ROM and then GAPPS through recovery.
After flashing, do NOT reboot phone. Instead POWER OFF the device and boot to bootloader.
Extract the boot.img from rom and flash it using fastboot flash boot boot.img command.
Reboot.

HTC desire C custom ROM
I have installed CyanogenMod 10.1 with the steps given in thios link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265060
everything works fine,except there are problem with wifi.
If i am connected to a wifi and after sometime i have to again restart my hotspot because its cannot detect it.
Head phone is also not detecting.
when i click on Google Play is not responding always.
I tried flashing CM10 on the HTC Desire C, but it keeps bootlooping and I can't seem to find out what's going on.
Here's a syslog just in case. This seems the most interesting part of the log.

So if I understand it correctly the wi-fi works but not without some problems? I'm running the CM10 rom with NOPE v2.6 kernel 825mhz and I get "authentication error", then I have to connect to the wi-fi manually and it works. But it disconnects every time I turn off the screen.
Am I missing something or is there a fix somewhere for this? I've searched through many threads on this board and there seem to be multiple fixes but I'm not sure which I should use as some of them refer to older roms or kernels.

Well, using the app " WiFi keep alive " fixes the issue.

I use that now, but I was wondering if there was any kind of "real" fix instead of a workaround :good:

Ah. That would require finding a better hack for fixing the WiFi, but since everyone uses CM11 now, not many would bother with CM10.

Really? I thought development for Desire C CM11 had stagnated. Is there a working build I'm unaware of?

CM10 build 4 for HTC Desire C
I've been using CM10 build 3 and it was pretty good. I read latest post about it and as far as I understand wifi is fixed, thanks for that but there is new bug about apps 0.00b. I wonder is it ok to use this version or choose to go with the old one? Is there anyone to answer my question?

Use this link for TWRP, or if you want to stick with CWM use this.

Bluetooth Headset doesn't work with [STABLE][ROM][4.1.2][JZO54K] CyanogenMod10|BUILD3
Bluetooth function for file transfer and pairing is fine working.
However, the Bluetooth headset doesn't work after pairing.
The Bluetooth headset is working perfectly with any other device.
Please explain and help. Thank you.
Desire C back rom
Hi to all,
I used probably bad unlocker or other updater. Any custom rom doesn't work with wifi (error) and GSM providing loop hard reboot.
I tried to use the official HTC rom from exe file. But the recovering failed. I test two version like "RUU_GOLF_U_ICS_40A_HTC_Europe_2.00.401.2_Radio_10.11.98.09H_1.06.98.13M2_release_295101_signed".
I'm looking for good binaries for Desired C Orange French version. Many repo and hosting files servers are down or doesn't hosting anymore the files.
Anybody can't help me to get binary thru any Google Drive or any others ?
Many thanks in advance.
