Nexus 7 case - Nexus 7 Accessories

i found this case on ebay. it was pretty good so i decided to do a review on it. the link is under the vid.

Cool, looks like the one I ordered (not arrived yet). What's odd is here's my link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280921388461 but it was $9.99 when I bought it. Strange.

urs come with screen protectors? cause i saw one like it too but no screen protectors

No protectors (bought the 75% off Xtreme guards).

I have this case on my Nexus now. The fix is a little lose causing the camera to be slightly covered. Does not affect the usability of the screen.
Mine came with a screen protector and stylus.
I may end up with some Velcro to hold the unit in place or search for another case.

For me this is best case
For me the best manufacturer is Noreve !
I have just ordered it... I will post some pics as soon as I receive it
Zac

I had this one arrive today http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/15088047...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_5137wt_1037 after seeing a previous post that recommended it.
It's quite a good case. Since the Nexus 7 is so comfortable to hold and use without a case it will take some time to get used to it with a case.

Amzer Silicone Skin Jelly Case

http://www.amzer.com/Amzer-Silicone-Skin-Jelly-Case-Black-P89120.htm
I was looking for a rubber case/skin for my streak to help it survive any drops and I came across this one. I got the case from Dell and it just seems like it will transfer the energy from the drop right to the streak. The site says they aren't shipping till September, so maybe some other companies will step up, but if not I'll be getting this one. Anyone else found any rubber/gel cases?
I also think I'm going to get the Zagg Invisible Shield, so I can protect the plastic parts of the phone and not just the screen.

It looks ok thanks for the links
Case-mate is also saying they will have a case in early sept.

So do we have any idea if these cases will be good or do we have to wait until they ship before we find out?
They just change the stock picture of the Amzer for the Dell streak. It look alot better now.

I saw a lot of cases of the silicone type on ebay.
Some of the pics even say Amzer, also the price is right at about 7 bucks including shipping.
I know they look exactly like amzers

So this looks pretty good! And the price is not excessive. I wonder ...
Meh, for the same price I cancelled my jelly case preorder and went with the Otterbox.

I was going to do that, but my AMZER is in the mail, so i'll at least give it a shot. I see the Otterbox isn't shipping until the 19th I think, so I'll wait for reviews on it while i have the other one in the meantime.

*** I just ordered an Otterbox case as well, so I will compare and roll with my personal favorite.
Got mine in the mail today. It's not bad, pretty protective, but it does make the Streak a little bulkier. The case is a little more durable than I thought it would be, but that's a good thing.
More pics. Forgot to mention that the volume rocker, power, and camera buttons are covered. They still work pretty well though, no need to press harder or anything.
Also, the case isn't in the way of the haptic buttons or the earpiece.

Does it collect dust and how does it slip in and out of your pocket?
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
Hi there
I just bought one from ebay for 8 quid and it came with rapid delivery. The case is great as you can stop treating the dell like a baby and as a phone. Dust problems are minimal in my limited use. However, I have noticed that the case comes a little to forward onto the screen and can affect your ability to open the phone with the slide to open option, as mutli touch is interferes with its general use.
Other than that an absolutely must buy piece of kit for a phone that is sooooo scratch sensitive.
I get my case today. I will post reviews after I get it.
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
I have been using the case and its definitly a nice case. It still collects dust but not as bad as other cases. It adds some weight and thickness to the phone but its still pocketable. I recommend this case for anyone with a dell streak.

AMZER cases at Amazon

Has anyone bought an Amzer case from Amazon? Gel or TPU? Any good?

yeah ordered one of their screen protectors. i dont need a case if i have a ZAGG on the back
The cases aren't out yet. They are up for pre order. If you go to Amzer's website you will see that they don't ship until 1/5. That is how it has been since the phone came out cause that is when I checked for it so it is not out yet.

The AMZER silicone cases look nice. I have disliked the Best Buy case since the day I bought it, but any case (well, almost any case) is better than no case. Anyway, Amazon registered the AMZER ones as in stock today, so I ordered one. Optimistically waiting.

I also have Prime (have since it was made available) so I just placed an order for two (one white and one black) and chose 3.99/item one day shipping and should be getting them tomorrow.
Side Note:
I highly recommend Amazon Prime to anyone who uses Amazon frequently. It's only 79.99/year and you can invite up to 4 household members (though I'm sure you can add a friend) to share the membership. The first time I realized how great it was, was when I ordered an industrial strength shredder as a christmas present and because of the bulk the shipping would have been outrageous, so instead I opted for the 3.99/item overnight shipping.

Diztronic SGN II case in stock

I had their case for my Galaxy Nexus where it provided great protection and was also lightweight. I just ordered their case for the GN II and I'm excited to receive it. I went to the sprint store the other day looking for the bodyglove everyone has been talking about but ended up buying some bulky and heavy case from ventev.
http://tpu-cases.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=42_83&products_id=326
No pics are up but Clay did provide me with some rough samples. This looks to be far less bulky than the ventev and otterbox cases. I'll post pics once it arrives.

Just got my case in. I like it much better than the case from Cruzerlite.
Edit: First impressions. Love the matte finish and the smoothness of the back. I wasn't much of fan of the back of the Cruzerlite case, but I dealt with it. Vol Up/Down and power buttons seem a bit a "clickier".

Thanks for the reassurance. I'm waiting for mine. Bought mine on the 18th. Hopefully see it tomorrow as well.
Got the case yesterday and it is great! It doesn't slip, it's light, and offers very good protection. Without the case I would frequently hit the power button but there is less of that now. I wish I hadnt spent 30 bucks on that bulky ventev case from sprint.
If I didn't "need" a kickstand in a case, this would be my number 1 choice. Their case kicked ass on my Galaxy Nexus. This is the best slim type case with a great matte non slip finish, and the cost is always very reasonable. I wish Sammy made phones whose bodies were like this case lol.

Any Real Leather Cases, Like This One?

There are two different versions of the case, and on expan they only have one picture of it.
Version 1 is like an iPad smart cover where it folds up in the back for it to stand up. Version 2 is like my poetic hardback case where you put the tablet into the "indents." I hate covers where you have to fold it up in the back to stand it up, so I'm going to email expansys and ask which one it is. It seems like it's version 1, the fold up one.

My wife got me this one for xmas http://www.amazon.com/i-Blason-Goog...d=1357244965&sr=1-2&keywords=iblason+nexus+10 I like it.
It looks like exactly what you are looking for, costs $18.00 and smells like leather to me. The only fault I can find is that there is no opening on the bottom for the POGO charger, whenever that is available, so you have to open the case to be able to use it. But for $18.00 and Amazon (who are excellent on returns if you don't like it) it's hard to go wrong.
I picked up one from Bear Motion on Amazon. It's much nicer than you'd think considering the price. They make a brown one too. Magnetic seal and auto-sleep/wake. After using it a few days, it has softened up a bit and feels even nicer.
Search 'Bear Motion Genuine Cowhide nexus 10' on Amazon. I don't have enough posts to put any links in yet.
Additionally, I bought a clear screen protector and carbon fiber 'style' protector for the sides and back from Skinomi. (Their website is cheaper than Amazon and used a promo code 'skinomi25' for 25% off.) I am not usually good at installing such things but it turned out pretty well.

I ordered a Bear Motion from Amazon. It arrived today but was a mistake. The one I received was clearly for another, smaller tablet. Anyway if the one for the Nexus 10 is the same material I wouldn't like it. If it is real leather it fooled me. It is very pleather-like. I now have my eye on much more expensive leather cases like the ones that people are selling on Etsy or Nor eve.

Can not post a link yet, will try later.
I would say the top of the speaker is covered about .5” or less. I haven't noticed any issues with sound. It is actually leather, though it's really stiff at first. The inside has some sort of soft/fuzzy cloth lining. I'm pretty happy with mine so far. I used a skinomi wrap/screen cover too for extra peace of mind.

I ordered one a few days ago. When it gets here I will let you know, but black is the only color they keep in stock. Everything else is made-to-order. I got a brown one, so it might be a few weeks.
One think to keep in mind is the Noreve site includes VAT in the prices. If you create an account, it will update the price to exclude VAT (as long as you live somewhere that doest do VAT). They also ship free. Still pretty expensive though. It was around $92 for mine.
One thing that is pretty cool is they link to third party reviews of their product and they are organized by device, case color, and language. At least one of them is a video review of a case for the Nexus 7. I didn't see any reviews for a Nexus 10 case, but the other reviews give you a pretty good idea of the quality.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 2
Update on the Bear Motion case, still a great case overall especially for what I paid, but I have noticed a flaw. The cutout for the POGO port has no stitching between the leather outer material and the interior lining. The adhesive has broken down a little and the lining is just a tiny bit loose around the opening. I intend to fix this myself with a needle, some black thread and about 5 minutes. This does have the potential to happen on the edges of the leather areas that do not have stitching though.
It should be noted the area with this issue flexes A LOT though. I'll post a picture later. It is very minor and I'd still buy this case again, but the manufacturer could easily prevent this with an extra couple inches of stitching.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using XDA Premium HD app
I received my Noreve case yesterday, so it took a little over three weeks to get to me (it is faster if you pick a black color). It is clearly much higher quality than the Bear Motion case I tried previously and better anything else I have seen on Amazon.
That does not mean I don't have any complaints. Mind you, these are pretty minor but they are complaints nonetheless.
Firstly, they have some sort of thin layer of open cell foam under the front cover. Yesterday when you pressed a bit on the front cover, you could feel and hear the foam compressing. Today, after having it in my messenger bag, that sounds seems to have worked itself out. I much prefer the feel of the back, which seems to be leather right on top of plastic. The inside front cover has some sort of rubber or gel padding and I like that too, but I am not sure the inside front cover is leather. I don't think it is. I guess they are going for a soft, cushy feel on the front.
Secondly, the clasp is slightly annoying. Someone asked how firm it was and I will say it is pretty firm. It definitely stays closed and I have no complaints about how well it functions, but the problem is the clasp on the front cover prevents the device from laying flat when the cover is folded back because the clasp points down.
The last complaint I have is the process of converting it to stand mode. You have to pop the tablet out of the bottom of the case to stand it up. This isn't an easy or quick task because the case grips the tablet pretty tight.
Despite my complaining you just read, I actually really do like the case. It is definitely quality made with quality materials.

SUPCASE Hybrid Protective Bumper Case Black (Amazon Prime)

When I got home this case was waiting for me at my door.

I think the case looks great on the M8, but who cares what I think, have a look for yourself!
All the proper cutouts are there, as far as I can tell. Only the power button has an actual cutout, the volume button is covered but still gives nice feedback.
I've had previous experiences where the clear back material gets scratched up easily, I will update this post accordingly once I rock the case for a few days.
I bought the same case, hoping I'll have it by Monday or Tuesday.

I purchased mine on announcment day and received it earlier than expected!
Mine showed up yesterday, and I really like it. It doesn't add a lot of bulk and you can still see the gun metal gray through the back. I do foresee the need to polish the clear plastic every so often to keep it looking nice tho.
I just received mine yesterday. Probably the best case I have owned for my one. Going to bestbuy later to return the speck candy shell I bought.
I got this case to hold me over until the dot case arrived because it was so cheap. I am actually very happy with it. For $5 you cannot beat this. Decent drop protection and looks nice.

Better than I expected.
Light scratches on the back of the case. Every thing else is solid.
I really like this case. The black border looks great. The only issue I have with it is the bottom of the case with the bigger cut out for the power and headphone jack, the plastic is not strong enough there and the plastic sticks away slightly. The black border adds a good amount of extra grip. For the price I might just get another as backup.

Hard clear plastic will scratch and look and feel worst overtime, I suggest putting a wet install back protector.

Posted pictures and a review over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2713161
I received mine in the mail today. Little slippery, but grips enough for me (I'm not much of a dropper.) The cut out for the microphone on the back is a little off, but not enough to cover the microphone at all. Finally, the cut out for the headphone jack and the USB port is kind of sharp around the edges, I might consider filing those down.
Overall, it's not bad for $10!
I ordered one of these as well. I wound up ordering three cases from Amazon on Friday night. Delivery estimate is between 4/18 - 5/5!
