Flash with Clockwork recovery or ROM Manager. Stock Recovery will not flash.

I just received an OTA for 2.3.6 on my rooted stock 2.3.4 NS... probably rolling out for everyone.

is it ok for i9023 ???

A bit confuse....i have the Stock ROM w/ Root & BussyBox + Deodex and the quick panel works on mine. And im with Tmobile.

The quick panel works it's just wifi was broken. Its being fixed and tested and the link should be up soon.

Thanks OP for the firmware. I am VERY new to all this customizing things and I to be honest have no idea what deodex and BussyBox are?
I have a stock i9020a with GRJ22 2.3.4 firmware (no root or any mods - PURE STOCK). How can I go about doing this without losing my contacts, apps, and media?

Download usb storage contents to computer... rest is stored on google.
I'd Love to have a copy of your stock (its highly desired on forum as well ). If you want help with that or the rooting PM me preferred instant message contact and ill happily help you.

I have no idea if I have a recovery installed or not lol. Like I said I am new to this and don't know a lot of these technical jargons. I did dial checkin on my phone but after displaying "checkin succeeded", I don't really get any updates - not even the 2.3.6 which was released last month. This is the reason why I would like to try out the ROM in this thread.

Am testing the Stock/Root now and it looks pretty good.

[Launcher]TouchWiz SGS3 for all device

seen over in other section its not just for 720p devices now works on all.
Just installed very smooth not sure what works and what doesn't but basic functions so far seem fine

if It FC on every reboot, have to manually install it again everytime u boot up the device, then extract the lib file from the zip you downloaded, to /system/lib works like a dream

I'm currently on Paranoid Android, with Franco kernel, but I would like to upgrade to 4.3. Will I have to return to stock 4.2 to update with the OTA, or can I just update when I get it.

It seems like the names have changed (very wierd). Nexus 7 wifi was "Grouper" and now is "Nakasi"

They have used these names for a while. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing Grouper is the Nexus 7 hardware name, and Nakasi is the specific android image for Grouper

sorry man, 404 error on desktop... i never even tried on mobile... also, i had to sign-in to access the link... i think the OP shared the link directly from the address bar instead of sharing the actual file...

[MOD][FLASHABLE] Nexus 6 extended power menu (no reboot options)

I made a simple extended power menu without reboot options, because stock rom is odexed. Maybe it will be useful for someone.
Flash it using TWRP or other custom recovery
Make a backup of /system/framework/framework-res.apk in order to restore it when something goes wrong. I recommend to create flashable zip to restore framework-res.apk. Just replace it with the modified one from my zip and place in root of sdcard0. Then flash backup via custom recovery.

It is currently impossible to do that for a stock ROM set up because the files needed (android.policy.jar at least in previous versions of android) is odexed. While it is true that we can successfully deodex them, we cannot yet re odex them so they can live peacefully within the framework.

Where does the .odex for android.policy.jar live? I don't see it in framework/arm folder.

In yet another way that things have been obfuscated, the Dex files from several framework files have been merged in this this boot.oat file.

CleanRom has one built in. I suppose you could either flash that ROM or simply extract it from @scrosler's rom
