Play/Market question...not really related to the Nexus 7 - Nexus 7 General

So, I noticed when I go to the ALL part of the Play store, it shows pretty much every single app I have EVER downloaded. Is there a way to permanently remove apps you really don't want in that list anymore?

Per Google Play Store:

Effect of new Google Play store on indie dev

How do you think the new Google Play Store Search results on the web will effect the visibility/downloads of small apps.

I think it's great and I'm sure it will have an impact. The question is how much of an impact.
Will people search Google for apps now or will they go straight to the Play Store app? I'm not sure...
For me, I always look in the store app first, but then revert to Google if I can't find the app I'm looking for. Regardless, it's another way for developers to promote their apps - especially with how saturated the market as a whole is.
That's a very fast port! Good job, you have accomplished that which many big corporations have trouble doing. More power to you!

Yes its always having the issues with new launched apps which not getting new sales only because of top ranked apps.

1Mobile Anyone?

Just found this http://www.1mobile.com
Anyone with any experience from it?
I cant find any info about commission and stuff, but it seems to be a pretty large site?
Or, other better alternatives to Google Play?
Alternate Stores
Like with any store the results are mixed based on a number of factors. I like Opera, Mobango, Mobiles24, Amazon, Aptoide, AndroidPit and Yandex but it all depends on the quality of your app and Google Play will still likely drive the majority of your downloads.
google play store is must the primary one, others are all alternative to end users.
I'd still stick to Google Play. I've been using it for a long time now aside from Apps Store.

Well, I was checking 1mobile myself, as I have read elsewhere that it was a big alternative app store.
However, I have seen that its "High-Speed Download" button serves a modified apk, with a lot of additional resources and classes. That seems fishy at the very least.
Does anyone know what 1mobile modifies the apk for? I wouldn't like my app to be associated with adware and bad practices, users to be stolen private data, or additional ads shown within the app.

Hi I know 1 mobile's stuff, do you need it? Upload your app here is not bad choice.

Hi Maggie, I am wondering what are those 3MB or so that 1mobile attaches to my app's apk when the user clicks on "high-speed download".
1Mobile App Store is completely dead. I think you have to go with the Google Play alternative Android stores and even you can go with some mod app stores.
May be this list will help you in choosing that: https://apkfolks.com/app-stores/

Cannot install a lot of apps from GP store

I did the nuke-it-and-make-it-usable upgrade. This is my first, so please forgive me if I don't use the correct terminology. I used FlashFire and uploaded SlimRom, SuperSu, and mini-gapps. It seems most of the apps I try to install says its not compatible with my device. Some apps I know are supposed to be there, don't show up in a search. Also, it kinda leans like it's a phone instead of a tablet. This may be normal, not sure there. Someone smarter than me, feel free to chime in. Am I doing something wrong, or did I miss a step? I used the tool from RootJunky. They gave this forum a lot of props and said you guys are the go-to peeps. I believe I got my files from the mirrors here. Amazon Fire 7", 5.1.1, Thanks in advance...
You pretty much would have to install the APK for each app that you cannot download from the Google Play store, part of the reasoning behind this is because Amazon Fire isn't officially supported by the Google Play Store, thus some apps will be unistallable via the app store.
You can download the APKs here: https://apkpure.com/app?hl=en
All the APKs should work. Just one thing to note would be that in the future, you'd have to reinstall the APK whenever a new update arrives for your app.
Best of luck!

So, in the background its still an Amazon Fire? I guess I just assumed by doing the new ROM, it would get rid of everything Amazon. That's what I get for assuming . Thanks!!
Great question and thanks for the answer. This may not be related to the "505 error" but I noticed with apps like "Open Camera" that it says the device is not compatible, and now I know why!

I have since used apkpure and so far all the apps I have searched for has installed and worked pretty much like their supposed to. Thanks again!
Yeah, I had the same problem, particularly with "Google Play." Sadly, my local news channel app is not available there, but a lot of other apps I was having problems with were.

anyone knows how to get these free games for our note 7?

Anyone tried to get these games from the play store yet. I've tried last night but did not get any free in-game purchases or anything.

Thx for the reply,
I've looked there already these games are not on that list. Plus the site listed that the offer is for the playstore not galaxy app store.
Hit
Vainglory
Olympus Rising
Nonstop Knight

Per Samsung's website:
"The Galaxy Note7 also features Game Pack, available through Google Play, including top game titles, an easier redemption process and new user benefits."
I wonder where we can get them?

OK, I think I figured it out. the reason my download did not work because I download those games yesterday on the 19th, I uninstalled and reinstalled the promotion started today the 20th. Just uninstall and reinstall your Samsung freebies will be given out after you completed the tutorial the gift will show up. I got 2000 gems and a bunch of goodies for the game HIT, i love this game its awesome!
I still don't see a list specifically for note 7 in the Galaxy app store.

I just went to the google play store and downloaded Hit,Vainglory and Olympus Rising. Played them just past the in game tutorials and was notified in game i was awarded stuff from a Samsung promotion. I tried Need For Speed No Limits and haven't got anything unless i haven't played far enough or some how missed it.
Hope this helps somehow.

Same with me I got Hit, Olympus Rising, and Nonstop Knight working with freebies but not Vainglory, Need for Speed No Limits, or Asphalt 8: Airborne. I wonder if its because I played those games before and google just pulled up my old saved game and that caused the Samsung freebies not to work?

You need to download them from the Google play store not the Galaxy App store.

New Play Store Design

Hey guys, a few days ago I opened up my play store and it was completely redesigned. It now has a picture on the side, and has a white backround. Sorta looks like ios. What does you guys think? Do any of you have it?
It's the beta for android P's play store.

Um yeah, that's how it works.
Why would they make a play store app for just one software version?
It's only the updated play store app that was released with the P developer preview.

Am I the only one who has no worry about the gplay, because I've got rid of g apps and services?
Alright, I use yalp store, f-droid, apkupdater, apkpure, aptoide, blackmarkt... w/o any hassle.
No user name, no password, free like a bird.
I use aptoide but it's not safe.

HOW? I prefer google because they have a lot of support, and a lot of helpful features. Plus, they won't lose support for gapps as apps such as blackmarket can quickly lose support
