Samsung Galaxy tab 7.0 case will it work - Nexus 7 Accessories

i really like the look of this
EFC-1E2NBECSTD
does anyone think it might fit?
i know it will have the camera hole on the rear (poll on if you think this will look stupid? )
will the volume buttons and power buttons marry up as they should?
all comments suggestions welcome
debating wether to order this as the asus google case is not available yet and the reviews so far on here dont say its any good!!!

I disagree, the Asus Google case works very well. could it be better? Yup. but it protets it and it doesnt add too much bulk. I hate those faux leather ones.

My cases for the tab and the tab + both don't work.

i agree the faux leather ones cheap and tacky!

this is nice with a front smart cover like the apple style would be good but this is not available and not seen any foldable front smart covers either!!!

I have a speck candy shell for the tab 7 and the nexus 7 is too tall to fit.

The new Asus cases! Sorry if it was posted already.
I see it had already been posted in another thread.
Oh well, at least lazy people (like me) will be able to find the thread in a flash. loll
Man that pink one is bright!
I must say I like that blue though.
these look nice. Liking the blue and the orange...
Question is ... when do they get released? and where do we order them?

Blue looks awesome, i want it
yup! I agree. Blue looks mad awesome. That's what I plan on ordering.
For now, there's no word on them. But I'm guessing they'd be out by the end of July, sold by Asus on the website. If I find any news, I'll make sure to keep you guys posted.
What are they made of? Hard to tell in that picture. Anyone know?

Fake leather? Rubber?
Doesnt look like hard plastic
Maybe it will be made of Corinthian Leather ? lol , all joking asside would love to see them for sale soon so I can get the blue and orange one.
I'm pretty sure they're rubber. All I know is I'm getting one.
it looks very similar to the HP Touchpad's case (the easel one). If so, I'm stoked and can't wait to get one
I like the idea of some kind of leather pouch but I am tempted to get one of these for a change (my phone is in a pouch)
case details
from Asus' site:
"For users who seek additional protection, Nexus 7 has an optional protective smart cover. The smart cover is a tough, yet snug-fitting polymer case with a non-slip matte texture that protects Nexus 7 from bumps and scratches, and also provides additional grip"
Now just need to wait for them to release it in the UK.

I loved the hell out of your Evo View ROM! Glad to see you on the N7 bandwagon.
As for the case, I'm in for two...shame there's no green though.
I'd love to have one in purple...

...does anyone see anything "smart" about this cover? No auto on/off, multi-configuration stand capabilities... what? It looks like a nice cover, but why the heck does it deserve to be called a smart cover?!

Maybe they're using this definition of smart:
a : neat, trim <soldiers in smart uniforms>
b : stylish or elegant in dress or appearance
c (1) : appealing to sophisticated tastes (2) : characteristic of or patronized by fashionable society

Case review thread

Hey everyone,
Got my nillkin case:
http://www.nillkin.com/chinese/proshow.asp?mid=2&sid=&tid=&cid=&scid=&id=2739&page=
Pros: There is a fine texture on the back of the case. Really improves your confidence regarding holding it.
The smooth case of of stock Note kinda makes you feel like it might slip right out.
Holes are cut pretty well. I kinda wish it was little bit thicker to protect the camera more.
Cons: It's too thin. Meaning it doesn't really fit all that well with the cover on.
However, if you remove the back cover it's pretty good actually. You lose your NFC antenna if you do this though.
The top and bottom are basically exposed.
This is, one one hand, annoying, and on the other hand - At least I don't have to worry about headphone port blockage, or worse - making the USB port even more annoying than it is now.
I haven't tried the included screen protector yet.
- Frank
Has anyone seen this case?

About 10 days - typical hong kong shipping.
The screen protector isn't staying on very well.
What about simple protection? Is it that bad as u said cos its thin and it doesn't fit well? Or still one can assume it's safe (i rarely drop my phones)..

KLD Charming Case (Magnetic?)

He guys, I found another leather flip case that seems really nice. I like the colors but wish there was a blue similar to the Asus Nexus 7 cases.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/KLD-Ultra-S...702452?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2c690824f4
The one thing that concerns me is that it is magnetic. Is that safe? I found a video of the case(s) on youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLwx4kSB7Pw
I really wanted one of those as well but being magnetic is a no go.

Besides being magnetic, they seem to be the all around best flip cover I've found (besides the Official Samsung Flip Cover that haven't looked at.) Nice colors, good design, appears to be good quality....... Guess we'll have to wait for something else.
I received this case the other day and the quality and feel is excellent. It is a beautiful case. I'm going to give it and try on my Note when I receive it. I like it better than the official Samsung flip cover.
Any feed back on the magnetic case being safe. I am getting my note 11\1 amenities want to order the case ahead of time. So far I am liking this case.

Safe? Well, it's not going to damage anything much, but it WILL screw with the S-Pen, and render the compass completely useless.
Ive got the case and been using it the last few days with no ill effects what so ever!!!
The magnet is next to the front camera and doesnt screw with the S pen at all. ln regards to the compass I cant comment as l dont use it (l dont think)!!!
All in all a really nice solid case - no complaints so far.
ps - went for the black and beige one - looks smart!

The case is safe. Smart covers for tablets (N7, Ipad) contain magnets. That is how they automatically wake up when you open them.
I bought this aswell hopefully there are no side effects. I plan on installing a landyard in it aswell. The note wont fit in all my jeans pockets ; p

I see now. It looks like butt. At least the colors do.
Ok I just bought it as well the black one as it looks beautifull and it has a kickstand feature what more do you want from a case all for a super price delivered what are you waiting for guys?
I have this case in black and I absolutely LOVE it.
It looks amazing, isn't bulky and the materials are top-notch. The phone doesn't move a millimeter. I haven't used the pocket yet, but I think it's a handy feature.
The magnet is a plus for me. It hasn't caused any problems.
I didn't want the official case, because it's made of the same chintzy plastic as the stock back - which I don't like at all.
FYI I have a brand new one of these cases available for $15.00 shipped. I'm located in the US so shipping will be a lot quicker than China. Please see the thread below for details

I'm looking at this case too and have a couple questions.
Does NFC still work?
What is it like to text and make phone calls on it?
Do you think it would still fit in a car mount with the back cover flipped around?
How easy is it to take in and out of the case?
I will NEVER use a magnetic case on my devices.
Very expensive device + magnet = prone to damage.
What would a magnet do?

You ever use the OG Droid? Both the car dock and desk dock used magnets. Magnets are fine with these devices
I doubt a low strength magnet would have any negative effect on the device.
I ordered a wallet case with a magnetic clasp and initially I was worried about dead spots on the screen. Having received the case and seeing how laughably weak they are (just enough to hold the front panel shut, absolutely no more) I'm not sweating it at all.
I'm eagerly waiting for the FedEx guy now, but I'll report back and tell of any issues.

Galaxy Tab 2 Cases Fit

Hey,
Just brought a Belkin case from PCWorld designed for the Galaxy Tab 2 10" and its a perfect fit. Holding the Nexus 10 up to the Tab 2 it's easy to see why. They are pretty much identical. Has the 3 fold design too. Now if I could just fit a small magnet under the material it would switch off when closed
Pictures to follow!
Whats the product name of the case you bought im heading to pc world later
Its called the Belkin Tri-Fold Folio with stand.
Luckily the shape of the corner grips means that although it covers part of the power button it doesn't actually touch it.
Thanks for the pics!

Camera and flash align perfectly.
Thanks, I just ordered one. My N10 comes today due to UPS leaving it at their shipping facility on Friday
Thanks! Needed something to protect my baby until the hardshell keyboard cases come out!
I just ordered a zoogue galaxy tab case. Says it fits both tab 10.1s.
I have a zoogue case for my Xoom and I love it.
It is a bit pricey ($55 shipped) and I would call it more of a couch / indoor case.
I will post pics when I get it. The race is on both N10 and case where ordered tonight!
Only problem with the tab cases is they cover a good portion of the side speakers I hate not having a case on this thing...

Yes I seen that. I hope it does not sound to bad.
I just really like the adjustability of the case. I can go all the way forward or all the way back and any place in between.. Not just 3 notches like many cases similar to this.
I'm very excited and can't wait or sleep for that matter.. Ha
awesome! looks like a nice case. Will stop by a best buy tomorrow to try her out.

Keyboard/Case Recommendations for Nexus 10

I'm looking for recommendations from other users for their top 2 or 3 best keyboard/case combinations for the Nexus 10. I just returned a Minisuit combo to Amazon because the keyboard simply didn't turn out to be as described in the product information. Obviously I should have kept the Minisuit prior to returning it so time is of the essence in getting a replacement ASAP.
Thanks!

I hate to say it but the design of the Surface tablet's keyboard is slick, it provides a front cover and a keyboard all while connecting via its magnetic pogo. I have high hopes someone designs one for the Nexus. Why are we so far behind the ball on this?

Now that I've tested two cheap combos that turned out to be the same units but branded differently, I'm going the separate route. Actually Kensington & another manufacturer (can't remember the name at the moment) make what I think are very good keyboards akin to the Surface.

I think that the Poetic Keybook Removable Keyboard case is pretty decent. That is the one that I bought which i found here http://www.pctabletcases.com/nexus-1...ssories-guide/. They also have a couple other cases but the reviews on that aren't as good. The Poetic case isn't the greatest case but it does serve its purpose well.

+1 to this, but I bought the $35 "Poetic Keybook Removable Keyboard" on amazon for the time being.
It has some stupid strap and arbitrary sized keys imo. Also the bluetooth has lag sometimes. I really want them to go the route of the microsoft surface keyboard design. Mainly because of less lag when typing vigorously.
