Ummm, ICS is Android OS, Tango is for Windows Phone - two totally different systems that are not interchangeable
So in answer to your question, No......

In the real world long before android was even a dream in some numptys mind, ICS had a different meaning, its TRUE accurate meaning is internet connection sharing, dispite what others will try and suggest, there was in fact life before android

ROFL - Don't I fee like an idiot now! You know I looked at your post count as I was replying and thought to myself "surely there's no way an experienced guy with this many posts doesn't know this...but oh well"!
Anyhow, my sincerest apologies and to answer your question: The internet sharing menu option is available in settings but trying to activate it beings up the message about dialing 611 and getting AT&T to enable it on your plan - even though I'm on Straight Talk. So no debranding I'm afraid. I think there's a xap file from Heathcliff that somehow enables this feature but also breaks 3G/4G?

Ha! its cool mate its an easy mixup
ill need to hunt out that debranding xap, if I pull it apart there might be a way of sorting it out, its just using the XML file to update the reg and since we don't have full file system access yet it cant be anything more serious, I hope!

Not to rain on anyone's parade regarding ics but so long as your handset is interop/root unlock, you can use WinTT to easily activate ics with the default settings on the focus s.

I have updated my Samsung Focus S on AT&T to 8858.136 and I have kept my interop unlock!!!! MMS and everything else appears to be working perfectly!!!!!!!!
I should also say that I was kinda scared of losing my interop, so I was in airplane mode while deploying via Cab Sender. I also ran relock prevent after each OS update.

relock prevent is good practice to get in to, you cant lose interop unlock ability unless you install the Samsung update, so don't unless you made a backup before hand and kept it safe
you can lose interop unlock but its just a case of reapplying it again, its all good though and congrats on getting it done
is there's a video tutorial here on how to update samsung focus s i937 to 7.8?please help us thank you in advance

Start, Settings, System, Device Information... Call Duration. How do you wipe those figures from your handset folks? Must be a way somehow but how?!
Please gimme a clue cus i'm trying to sell my handset 'as new' and even though i've only used the phone for about 2 hours total, in and outgoing, it'd still be nice to have no comebacks with it.
Besides... someone else might need this info for some other reason to so if you know... shout loudly please!!!!!!!!
By the way... ROM changing doesn't do a thing. Looks like it's part of the handset's brain so... well i dunno now actually! HELP!!! lol

There are 3 command you can enter:

[email protected]?0 - Shows Inbound time in HEX

You might need security unlock or Hard SPL at least to do this.
So if you have HardSPL already, you possibly need security unlock. Security unlock is still been worked on at the moment, so you could be stuck for a while.
Sorry, but I don't own a Blackstone to test on.

What I am trying to bring to this thread is a bit of ethos and concern for the guy to whom you will flock your wears. 3 days or 133 days you have no right to clock it and present it for something it isn't. It is also illegal.

Illegal? Well 2 things.
1. As you'll have noticed, i'm new to all this side of things as far as XDA goes so i was unaware of that.
2. Tell that to everyone else and quit hassling me.
The ethics and ethos of this have been discussed everytime a thread like this is started.
As this is not possible at the moment I see no need for this discussion to continue.

This is a java based voice navigation gps app, and is available in java, but not currently for the G1. Short of asking the company to produce a G1 version, does anyone know how to code this for a G1?
unless you have the source code at hand it aint gonna happen.

don't be too disappointed. i gave the amaze software a go here recently and it was less than accurate. i gave it a simple route in a major city (houston) involving only 3 necessary roads all on major corridors and it couldn't foot the bill. anyone else have similar problems?

I thought the same. Mine is from T-mobile NL but is not simlocked. Tested it with another sim and it works like a charm. Maybe the voda ones are locked not sure though.

Guys, maybe here is not the proper place for my question but somehow it has to do with the topic. So is there a way to find out if my X1 is unlocked by the manufacturer ( has never been locked ) or by someone else - "hacked to be unlocked" - like it's done here...And if so, can I check this out ? Am I gonna lose the "patch", "unlocker" (dont know how to call it) after flashing and using different roms from here ? Can I save the settings or check what had been done with the device. Thanks in advance...

actually, it's not necessary, our software lets you verify whether you're unlocked anyway, and the device will never relock itself.
Yesterday I used this tool to remove a SIM-Lock. It did work perfectly!
I also removed the security lock. Is it possible to re-lock it? Would be necessary for warranty issues.

Just want to add: some unlocking sites say they supply unlock code, how come you do not supply a code and instead supply this?
What if the phone is already hardspl'd? What is the difference between 2.32.etc and 1.00JADE?
the Hard-SPL included is no different from the one on the Jade thread.
codes come from databases "acquired" from providers.
any chance anyone knows how to unlock mitac mio a701 ? i got it from ebay for spare parts for my dad's mio, but we never used it, so its in the drawer now, locked to orange Israel. might as well sell it.

you're wrong. I just used olipro's package and it worked just fine.
You must be doing something wrong.
Follow his tip. I had the same "data corrupted" so I downloaded and manually installed hardspl then used olipro's package from button 2 onward.
worked fine.
Be sure to have internet connection and no antivirus/firewall just in case.

I answered you in public, so not only could you see it, so could everyone else, I specifically asked you if you still had the problem because funnily enough, I couldn't find anything from you, so I think a public reply is pretty clear cut.
How can I add a program like textfree in the window when your surfing a web page and you want to share that page
So you click share page and it gives you a choice but I dont see textfree

I doubt they bypass it with 105 veiws but yet no one seems to know

It's down to the application to expose itself (fnarr ) to the sharing functionality of the OS. You can't simply add something to the list - the app wouldn't know what the hell to do with the information.

Is there a way to dissect the app and create it to expose itself
The application has to 1) register an intent in its manifest
Code:

then in the sampleTextActivity they have to handle the extras that the sending application will .putExtras() when calling the intent
like

so basically without the full source code, you can't add it. but the devs could easily enough - email them.
