Quadrant after update. - LG Optimus 4X HD

Hello everyone
I made a Quadrant standard test after I updated to v10d from v10b and I got 4732 while I got about 3600 before.
Have some of you noticed it too?
Best regards

10A provides around 4600+ in Quadrant
10B provides around 3600+ in Quadrant (not for all users)
10D provides around 4600+ in Quadrant
for me i had 5000 in 10A, 3700 in 10B, 5000 in 10D

actually almost the same (+-200) as in 10A / 10B BALTICS

That depends. No need for a2dp, then CM7 is the way to go. If you need a2dp then GR2 is the best.

Using cm7 for 6 weeks, it is a far better rom than original one. Very smooth, no bsod, but some fonctions are missing as said before. Don't forget to backup your contacts and so before changing.
Sent from my Optimus 2X using XDA Premium App
Please tell me what are the functions that doesen,t work with cm7. If i will instal this rom, when the oficial update will be released, i will be able to update my phone with cm7 rom installed?

A2DP and FM radio are a couple of things not working. Kinda miss the first one, but even though, CM still do rule.

Install MIUI or CM7. Allmost everything works.

I'm starting a campaign to tweet LG every day with "Warning: DON'T BUY LG their service is awful. "worlds first dual-core phone" they are refusing to update software for is useless @LGBlogUK"
Will also post on every one of their facebook posts a similar note.
If everyone else does the same then it might shame them into getting off their arses and doing something about it. I doubt it but worth a try.

official gingerbread release date

it is confirmed. the official release date of gingerbread on lg optimus x2 (p990) is 15 september. i have talk with a director from lg, and also with sales department from android. both told me gingerbread for p990 is done, will have a battery improvment first of all, less resourses needed, with no bugs. all we have to do is waiting for 2 weeks.

Is there any news about the kernel?

well, 2 weeks is a short time. Doesn't make too much of a diff I guess. Coz my last updated v10d SEA (south east asia) version has been rock-solid stable. No BSOD or reboots.. except for vignette very seldom the app was unresponsive but after that, it's fine again.
So for me GB no longer necessary. v10d really solved all my BSOD and reboots problems.

I am on a custom ROM right now...how can I get back on the original LG wagon? do I just flash to the new GB LG Rom and from then on I'll get LG updates?
Also, where do I get the 2.2 LG Rom that phone came with? Lost my backup that I made before flashing it.
Flash original stock ROM from here then you will able to use LG S/W Updater again.
i'm wondering if it's 2.3.3 like optimus one or straight to 2.3.4
It's confirmed as 2.3.4 by LG, and by first leaks.
sa speram ca pe 15 soseste ca m-am saturat de buguri si de bateria pe care o incarc de dous ori pe zi
Waiting for this!
if will not aarive on 15 september i swear that i will never buy an lg phone again. samsung is more friendly with their coustumers...
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA App
That's funny.
How do you even know it s going to be better than the current roms?
Or, another question: what do you expect it will bring new? Do you think it will make the phone a quad core monster with a 7 days battery life?
Don't think too much about Samsung. On their forum most of the people are complaining about battery drain and other bugs. No one is perfect.
Don't get me wrong, i also want to update my phone to the latest Android. But i realize that it s not going to be something spectacular, like the introduction of Flash in Froyo, so there' s no reason to make too much fuss out of it

I get 3500+ on my Euro 4X, I guess they did a better optimization job on the US version.
On my German Phone i get 4855 in Quadrant and 11386 in Antutu. Why is the US antutu Score so low?!

3855 here :crying:
11561, Italy V10b....
because the us version runs a dual core snapdragon s4, which explains the high quadrant and low antutu

V10h and Antutu benchmark

Hey all. Upgraded to V10h yesterday all seems fine. I did notice though that I seem to have lost a thousand or so on Antutu benchmark. Anybody else getting better or worse results?
(Hope this is in the right thread)

You know, a benchmark result can be influenced by a lot of factors so, most of the time, an improvement or a worsening of 1000 can be misleading; it may be due to a different number of applications running in background and so on.
Most of the time, if you run a benchmark on the same phone, the one after the other, you'll not have the same result
Sorry for my bad english anyway
Thanks, although I did try to ensure I had same things running by re-starting phone and stopping/changing no apps.
P.s. Your English is good!

Battery really depends on what you do on your phone. A good Rom with a good Kernel can improve the battery life by a lot. I have PA and Franco, the battery is good enough for me.
I've got about 12 hrs of battery life and 3.5 hrs of SOT with 3G (no wifi). My phone is rooted with franco kernel used. Previously, on stock, my SOT has never reached that stat. I've got emails synced but gps off during the time.
Btw, there's a good thread for you to read for more info about Nexus 4 battery life at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1992627
