Can u plz provide me the kernel.sin of ARC?

This kernel works nicely with JJs ROM.
Also, I compared your ramdisk with the ramdisk of stock kernel by TheGreatSega, and in my opinion you did the better job. Thanks a lot!

So if you're bootlocked you can't have root in this new firmware?

i'm just letting everyone know I got it running. they still dont list official support at time of this post so if u wanna flash this all standard disclaimers apply.

flash this gapps (unthemed)..http://db.tt/csbmYx6p

should be easy.

Adding to this, there seems to be a repo on their github if anyones interested in building from source. Looks like they're forked from the ADT repo.
so are the non-working things same as the ones on joker's and turl's rom ?
and does it have any side effects !!
dont want to mess up my atrix !
and do i just have to change the lib and bin folder in system, thats it !
will it work perfectly ??

[AOKP][JB 4.1.1] W.I.P. by KangXperiaProject

Alpha1 is up, please test it

http://icxperia.com/championswimmer/arc-semc-anzu/aokp_anzu-ota-eng.kxp.alpha1.zip
(use FXP CM10 kernel only if the included kernel does not work)

hi
so this is first aokp jb rom... for arc not for pro
not really an ota as the edify_creator is not working andi didn't have time to make a ota manually
this is system.img
http://icxperia.com/championswimmer/arc-semc-anzu/aokp_test1_system.img
and this is boot.img
http://icxperia.com/championswimmer/arc-semc-anzu/aokp_test1_boot.img
the kernel most probably is not a working one... so use it over a ICS kernel (eg CM9 or sirkay or AOKP m6) only.
the system.img can be flashed through fastboot or if you want you can just unyaffs it and create your own OTA using dsixda kitchen or whatever....
to use it
fastboot flash system aokp_test1_system.img
or just use dsixda kitchen to turn it into a update.zip
I DO NOT have the device so i don't know if it boots.
It's not for daily usage. It's not even alpha
If possible you can help by sending logcats, kmsg, dmesg etc etc will be extremely helpful.
Any one who wants to use this build for porting purposes are free to do. I have no issues.
Is this for Arc or ArcS or Pro?
I want to be a tester, how to install this the right way?

Nice! :good:

ok, kernel seems to be defect. got blackscreen... no logo, no bootanimation, only blackscreen (backlight turned on)
does the kernel have animation? Or must i wait 5 minutes for boot?
he said kernel most likely woudn't boot so use a CM9 kernel Downloading now champion Thanks for the work
hope someone can tell me more than "how do i install this ??"
i mean ... it's understandable guys... this is not Se PCcompanion stuff...
you need to work out how to install this...
i DO NOT have an arc or else i would have released only a finished product....
i just had some free time to make an anzu build so here it is....
even if it does not boot, at least it's good porting material for people like jjdoctor...
but to fix anything at all i need logs

Well I've never tried it but if you got the zip file of the Rafael kernel (the boot.img one obviously) and replaced the boot.img inside it with the one I posted then I can see no reason why it wouldn't work.
However, this is partly why I have recently asked the question is it possible to boot into download mode without a working boot.img? My inclination is 'yes, it runs off the bootloader' but nobody seems to know the answer. So until I find out I'm hesitant to try it without being certain just in case something goes wrong.
