Micro SD - Motorola Atrix HD

Just curious on what the biggest microSD card I can use with my AHD I currently have a 16gb card from my OG Droid (; lol but I was thinking of an upgrade on that. So whats the highest this phone will support.?

I've heard 64GB. I could be wrong, although I don't think I am.

64GB Micro SD!!! is it compatible with Incs

Hi,
Anyone tried using 64 GB micro SD card in their phones. Is it working? I saw in the below post that Droid Incredible is compatible and fully working.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1487493
Any one had this experience in Incredible s.
Thanks
Akkin
No sorry
Sadly no, the IncS is only compatible with 32 or lower. Not sure if there is even a phone that supports 64?

Curious if it's bc you are using a SDXC card. I wonder if a SDHC card would work.

I thought all 64GB and above were SDXC? They come formatted as exFAT instead of FAT32 due to the 32GB partition size 'ceiling' imposed by M$ but can be reformatted as FAT32 using other disk tools.
Thanks a lot for reply. I bought the SanDisk ultra micro sdxc 64gb card and it works like charm.

Thank for this! I have only 32 gb, but i need the 64 gb sd card!
Hi, sorry for reviving this topic, but I want to buy an micro SD card and the seller in ebay says:
" **** We experienced high failure rate for devices of Android 4.0 for 64GB or 128GB cards. If you are using Android 4.0, DO NOT ORDER from us since it will probably fail in your device. "
I wanted to apply the android 4.0 version available for the HTC incredible S in HTCdev website.
Has anyone experienced this configuration?
Edit: The micro sd card is a SANDISK MOBILE ULTRA MICRO SDXC SD 64GB 64G MEMORY CLASS 10 UHS-I U1 ANDROID APP

It only encrypts /data and your internal memory (internal SD) remains untouched, you might have a false sense of security that your files r encrypted but they are not! including all of your photos and videos on your internal memory

[Q] sandisk UHS 32GB problem

Hello,
I know this has already been talked in some forums but i have not found the solution... i've got problems with a Sandisk UHS 32gb ( silver red one ). (Almost ) Everytime i load pictures or PDF files or anything it unmounts unexpectedly . Listening to music ( even FLAC ) does not unmount it ...
I already formated it with fat 32 on the pc and then reformated it in the PC to no avail... Any other ideas except changing it ?
thanks
This happens to me too with a 64gb card. I think it's either that it's too fast, or that it's somehow incompatible.
Unfortunately there's been no real feedback, so it doesn't seem like it's a widespread issue, leaving me to think that it's not every card, maybe just Sandisk cards...?

Yea , anything is possible . Found a thread where someone said that Sony only tested class 4. Also found a thread on talk.sonymobile about exactly the same problem with no real solution. Shame
Class 4, that's ridiculous! Is there any way we can speed down the cards?

I prefer using non-rooted stock firmware and will be wait for a while
using 253 firmware and erasing the card on the phone (which I have done several times while debugging this problem) the problem now seems to be solved
I just downloaded the entire 2.7gb TomTom map pack for western europe in one go - before I had to download it to internal memory and then move it in terminal.
I'm using a brand new Kingston 64GB Class 10 and no issues so far.

[Q] Huawei P7 And 64GB MicroSD

hello guys.
I would like to install a 64GB MicroSD on my Huawei Ascend P7.
surfing the net I found many different features: some websites say 32GB Max, and Others 64GB Max.
what's the truth? is it compatible with this 64GB microSD?
thanks in advance.
Stefano.
Hi,
First I used a Class 10 Kingston 64 GB microSD, it was recognized and writable but transfer rate was poor and apps which used it were lagging. Now I have a Class 10 Samsung 32 GB and the apps are faster, no more lags. I don't know if the problem is due to the brand or to the capacity...

Hi, I bought hi speed Kingston micro sdxc 64gb card. Work very well Fat32 formatted.
Extremely speed in USB3.0 reader. Achieve approximately 90/70MB R/W
Of course in phone only aprox 20/10 MB. If you will use this card only in phone than buy normally card.

Normaly you need a "translator" for ntfs in android. The easy way is to Format the sdcard into fat32. Only the file size is the limit.
I got this 64Gb card, but i cant format it in FAT32, the PC found a ExFAT file system, and the format is possible in NTFS only. what can I do?

So and will I get problem by formatting in fat32? Like file dimensions or something like that...

Can't copy larger than 4GB file in internal storage?

So this is a first time I had this weird issue. My nexus 6 isn't allowing me to copy larger than 4GB file via MTP. I have made sure it's not my pc tested on a laptop as well.
I am running AOSiP-V1.0.1-Marshmallow-[11.01.15]. The kernel is rom default & have checked via TWRP my data partition is EXT4 & I can copy any other file(<4GB) normally., just not larger than 4GB. My phone is decrypted.
Meanwhile I know I can use adb &or wifi but speeds aren't comparable to MTP. So what's going one? Any ideas?

neither of those are nexus, so you cant really compare :silly:
Yeah I guess I wasn't ready to admit such a nice device could have such a limitation. Thanks anyway.
Isn't 4gig the old FAT32 file size limit ?
