I brick the phone. Strange situation. - Galaxy Ace S5830i General

Hello...
At the beginning sorry for my bad english.
Ok. I have little problem, not exactly me but this is not important. My friend when he flash s5830i with odin put wrong rom into pda/csc section. I mean bad rom from another phone. Exactly from Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360. Now when he power on the phone on the screen can see splash form Galaxy y. Image is smaller than the screen. Recovery mode, and download mode don't work. USB JIG will work in this case?
Thanks for any help.

Usb jig should work...because the key codes (when you press a key, it sends a code to the phone) for the galaxy y firmware may be different from ace, so although your are pressing the buttons, the phone isn't getting it...usb jig may be the only solution...but keep in mind that if the splash screen (the one with galaxy y logo) is with the wrong resolution, the phone will usually be bricked...you are quite lucky that your phone can still boot...

Did you try the below solution? Buy a JIG on eBay, it's a must have for flash-o-philes!

How do i check my phone, is it hardbricked or softbricked?
Hi there.
From what I've met with my G.N, when you got other message than the yellow triangle, you may flash your G.N with a custom rom with no problems within Download Mode.
If you got the yellow triangle, you may could go to download mode, too and flash a custom rom.
if no way to go to download mode, then I think the only answer is JIG.

I have tried the 3-bottom method, and no reaction! Keep turned off! (Dead)

Maybe the USB jig will help you to boot into the download mode.
Can you enter CWM?
How did you "bricked" your Note?
What have you flashed?
I would flash my Note with odin.
But it fails, i think it was the wrong PIT file.
And after that, it turns off, and now i cant turn it on again.
Usb Jig is only for 2.3.4 and earlier use?
Mine is 2.3.6

Their is nothing to do with version. JIG used for Put your device in Download mode and Clear your Custom binary Counter.
Before flashing ROM please read all instructions carefully.
As they said while flashing ROM using PC Odin you should not use Pit file and Not to Tick "Re-Partition".
Yes.. MY BAD..! Now im stuck here with a dead phone. But the Usb jig can wake it alive again??

The USB jig can boot your phone into the download mode, but only if the phone does response in any other way, I think. For example showing the battery icon, when plugged in for charging.
But you can try it anyways.
The download mode will work!
the only exception is a hardware defect.
you can't get an hardware defect by flashing.
the bootloader (3 button or jig) will work.
there is no way to kill the hardware during flashing or something else.
buy a jig and it will work.
you wrote you see the samsung logo - that means, that the bootloader is OK.
happy flashing ;-)

Yes. But if your phone totally does not response, it might be a dead bootloader too. thats what i meant.

Well you can try the usb jig anyways, but if there is still no response there is no way out and you have to bring it to your local service partner or samsung, I think.
But one fact is good for you:
It doesn't response on anything you do. So that means it can't be read out and they'll not see that you've flashed it. They'll just change the mainboard and resend it to you. This happened to me with my samsung galaxy s.
I totally destroyed the bootloader and it won't response. I directly send it to samsung and they just change the mainboard, as I said.
For sure you doesn't have to pay anything, assumed you are in warranty.
I'm gonna buy a jig immediately, however all of them are indicated as for Galaxy S2. Will it work with galaxy note too, or should I keep looking something specific for Galaxy Note ?
It will work for you SGNote, too. Just go get one, and let us know what happened.

HELP please

My samsung s5830i originally would not work because i installed the beats audio file from a previous thread, this caused the touch screen to not work and the lock button to not function. I reinstalled my rom on my phone and now my phone is stuck on the samsung galaxy ace gt-s5830i startup logo...please help me fix this (it will not boot into recovery either!) my parents will kill me if not -.- THANKS!
(i really need to fix this as i doubt the carphone warehouse will give me another one since my phone is rooted :L)

[Q] Think I have bricked my i9000

A couple of days I bought an i9000 off ebay, it came running eclare 2.1
I followed a guide to rooting it by installing a tar via heimdall, however this soft bricked it and when I turned it on it would just get stuck on the samsung logo. My phone seemed to suffer from the 3 button bug and therefore I had to get a jig for it which I received this morning.
I then tried to fix it by using this guide: http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/...ot-cwm-and-cyanogen-install-help/#entry356900
Bassically I used odin to install the EU samsung firmware, odin said everything went fine and it all passed, however I can no longer turn my phone on.
Screen stays blank, I tried putting batery in, jig in and connecting it to my pc to see if it was just the screen that wasnt responding but still nothing in odin.
Someone please tell me I havent bricked my phone 2 days after getting it.
First of all, can you ask enter download mode?
Secondly, are you are that it is a I9000 and not one of the variants?

Yea, nothing happens when I press the power button/use the jig.
And this is 100% a software/firmware issue as it happened after flashing.
I have a feeling I disconnected it too soon, basically odin said it had passed and so i unplugged it but it just stayed on the download screen so I thought it might have gotten stuck and took the battery out. However i might have took the battery out while it was updating something, I dont know.
if you have completely bricked the phone you may have to do this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330491&highlight=usb+jig

Everything is stored on the mobo. However, I am not sure if it will be cheap.
you can pick them up for about £30 if you wait
I have a problem with my SGS 9000 too after I mistakely install firmware for Galaxy Tab. Now it's bricked and it lost download mode. On all actions (power button, entering download mode) I just feel very short and almost insensible vibration impulse. May be somebody had same problem?

samsung galaxy ace won't turn on after installing wrong custom rom!

idk where should I post, so I make same thread twice
well, looks like i'm totally f*cked up.
i have samsung galaxy ace (GT-S5830), but I've installed wrong custom rom. it is for GT-S5830i
here the rom goes : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2408748
after I press reboot on CWM, it just not powered on anymore. I even test with power supply, when I press power, it does not react!
the other problem is, my volume down key somehow break, so i can't use download mode!
will USB JIG work? it is VERY HARD to search USB JTAG here.
well, if you want to say buy a new phone, i have bought new one.
i bought this ace only for approximately $15 ... so it is not the real problem. but i love this ace somehow ...

Usually if you install something not meant for your device, you basically hard-brick that device. If you have hard-bricked your phone, then you will not be able to go to Recovery Mode or Download Mode. In that case, you can try the guide by @SuperMini to force open Download Mode from odin. Here is the link,
How to unbrick Samsung Galaxy Ace
If that doesn't work, then you can try the USB Jig (not always guaranteed to work). If USB Jig did work, then it will force open the Download Mode so you can flash stock rom back using odin. If USB Jig doesn't work either, then your last option is to consult the Service Center. Do post the result. Hope I Helped

Samsung note 3 n9005 bricked

Hi:
Firstly, I want't to introduce myself, my name is Antonio and I'm a newbee in this forum. I want to apologize about my english, it's poor but I'm trying to improve it.
I need your help. I had a Samsunh note 3 n9005 with broken motherboard, I bought one used on internet and I was swindled. It was bricked and the owner said me that it was easy to fix it.... Now i have two broken motherboards...
I have tried to unbricked it, the fact is that I can't put it on download mode by combo key, I have to use a usb Jig, and then the phone starts in download mode.
After this, I can flash stock roms with Odin, and the procces ends OK, but the phone dosn't start, and has a bootloop, it shows the first image "samsung note3 n9005", and in blue letters in up right corner show "entering recovery" and after a few seconds it reboots again and again...
I have tried a lot of stock roms but anyone works. I think is the procces always ends with an OK in Odin....
Can anyone help me?
Anybody
Please... I need help.
