I have just flashed my ACE with the Droid ACE v2 , from the thread "[ROM] [Update 18.08.2012] [Faster Than Ever] Droid ACE v2 Bugs fixed[FireKernel OC] and it is Awesome...Performance and battery life is Extremely well. However, I have some issues with it...and hope you guys can help me on this (I can't post the question inthe original thread yet...sorry abt that)
My issue is, I can't get the call to "Ring" its always in Silent mode, and always vibrate. I have tried couples of way, like set in the profile, differnt Ring Tone but it just still vibrate. Is anyone here can share with me where is the correct way to set it ? Appreciate it .

i also have a problem with my 3g,H,. i dont have them since i flashed my cooper with this rom.. or any cm7 roms? how to fix this?

check the System Volume (It's like the master volume) there is a feature for this in Android Asistant.

Yeah .. checked .. ..
Anyway .. I did a re-flashed again .. yesterday .. and now it WORKED ...:silly: .. and now .. I have new problem . I slot in an 32GB micro SD and use CWM to partition it (2GB) ..then ..now my SD card only left 30 GB.. is there anywhere that I can checked if that 2GB already being used for anything in my phone ?

Hi,
One thing you should always try is reflashing the rom after turning completely off the phone. Most of the problems related to features missing are related with problems flashing or data left on the device and sometimes (do not know why) when just rebooting the phone partitions are left mounted.

The idea of making a partition from CWM is to prepare the SD to use one of the memory extender scripts and that will not be usable from the normal environment.
Depends on the script to show the total amount of memory on the place where you can see the total memory left on the system.

And I'm trying to track down the problem (by installing the rom several times and do one thing at a time to locate what is causing the problem), as soon I figure the possible reason I'll post here.

To Avoid Force Closes...! "Parasmi'x Post"
This may be caused by the strict memory killer values. Try reverting to stock values by typing the two commands below in terminal. First command will obtain root, second will execute script
$su
#stockmem

i know it's a bug in the rom since its shouldn't be like that what i did was uninstalled samsung home then installed launcher pro... fc was gone.. i know its a pain if you wanna use the stock touchwiz.. emanon said he will put a updatable zip file soon don't worry

Thanks for the reply. But this didn't resolve the problem for me. After I ran this command, I rebooted the device and placed some shortcuts on the "desktop". Rebooted again and the "Force Close" appeared again.
Maybe this solve another issue, not mine.

I installed ADW.Launcher (which I was already familiar on CM7) and now I can put shortcuts and widgets.
This is temporary anyway, since Parasmi told me he is working on a fix for this TouchWiz problem.

The problem i encounter in this rom is the home button isn't working, keyboard always capslocked, the message that i have typed isnt automatically erased. After that everything is fine. Can't wait for this rom to be perfect.

If your home button is not working, try call yourself. This fixed it for me.

On RocketROM JB v1 with an almost full 64gb card. In the first 24 hours the battery consumption was terrible and the gallery was taking over a minute to come up. A whopping 63% of battery was being used by media services. Finally all has settled down in the last six hours and battry draining more normally.

Try overclocking to max stable freq. and setting min freq also to max stable. Dont forget to clean ram before starting game (fmr memory cleaner app)

I recommend gl to sd. I use it and its great. When you dont want to start game from it, tap mount few times and force close app from recent apps. (first in settings tick mount Android/data and another thingy... Youll see it

Via odin, then you get stock recovery. But if you want warranty again, use triangle away app. Search on gm2 development section

Everything looks amazing but I noticed my soft home button doesn't work AT ALL, camera button isn't working either, I cant see the lock screen as other versions, can't open Google Play app and can't synchronize my Google account so I don't have access to my phone contacts
Have someone else happened (and fixed) this problems??

i had every possible rom for this device (910d right now) and never had button problems
did you follow http://www.mrmuh.com/2012/01/update-a-motorola-milestone-from-motorola-firmware-to-cyanogenmod-7/ ?
if not use this guide replace cm7 with cm9.1.0d
100% working
I fixed the problem already but forgot to erase this trend... the problem was after wipe I installed CM9 and Gapps together and got that problem... after wiping all again I installed CM9 rebooted and installed Gapps and worked fine.
Still have no idea what that bug ever happened but i fixed :laugh:
But I changed CM9 to CM7 cause my battery was dropping from 100 to 0 in 4 hours, not good if I'm too much time out of home. Thanks anyway for your interest

Hello, @IGGYVIP I'm having problems with my A853 again, installed the CM7 as always but now i can't get through the MOTOROLA logo... can't make the phone to wake up, and I was looking for the tutorial you mentioned (same I used before) but seems MrMuh's webside is out.
by any case, do you have that tutorial? I wanna start from the ground and reinstall the 2ndboot and the CM7 ... or maybe you have a better solution

We dont have sd card problem so far ...

So , you think the only bug is battry precentage ?!
Battery percentage is work but not battrey level ( that's because of my system ui changes ) ...
I think its not important and i really dont have any time to fix it ( its easy to fix it but need time ) ...

in your post, u post if want to flash kernel to 0.4 change cwm into 6.0.1.4 if not it will bootloop...
i change cwm into 6.0.1.4 and the kernel in sd card. but can't mount the sd card in cwm 6.0.1.4. :crying: :crying:

What do you mean ?!
You can instal it with out problem , you just cant use usb storage ...
If you need it you could use a card reader ...
