Hello guys. This is my first try at ROMs. So I decided to make a barebone rom for perfomance/battery.

Based on latest firmware XXLF3.
Permament CWM when u flash the ROM.
This ROM is for GT-S5830i only. DO not flash on GT-S5830 It will brick your phone. Other models same as GT-S5830i make Backup and test if it works report here.
How to install the ROM:
1) Download the ROM from the link below.
2) Place it in SD Card.
3) Reboot and apply Clockwork Mod Recovery.
4) Then in CWM do the following:
a) wipe data/factory reset
b) wipe cache
c) Go to Advanced > wipe dalvik cache.
5) Now install zip from sd card.
6) Choose the ROM zip file and wait untill installation finishes.
7) Reboot and ENJOY GingerAce

wow..its raining roms here..i guess i am the first one to dowload this..thanks for the upload man..i will try it out and provide my feedback..who would have known 4-5 months back that custom roms would become a reality for 5830i...kudos to all the devleopers here who have made this possible..

Is in the rom including CWM with not working backup/restore or other CWM?

Great rom..its really quick and light on resources. Iam nt a huge fan of LP so i removed it and installed holo launcher instead. Works great.
2 things i noticed..
1. There is no way to change the wallpaper of the lockscreen.
2. Many of the default audio sounds are missing. Were they removed intentionally?

audio sounds hd been removed by me in simplicity. So it wil nt b in dis rom as well.
Flashed without any problems, but I´m facing network problems. My ace is S5830M, firmware WHLA1 I know it doesn´t matter since rom are compatible with every firmware, but any idea on why i cant connect to network.
Edit.
Fixed, just need to stop data pack for a moment and it´ll catch the network. After that just restart data packs.

The CWM Backup/Restore feature works. You just shouldn't restore a backup made before you install the ROM with permanent CWM. Because It will restore the CWM and it wont be permament. Otherwise if u make a backup using the new CWM U can Restore it aswell.

1. That is because the default Gallery app is removed. You can maybe use Holo Locker as it adapts to your Homescreen wallpaper.
2. Yes I removed them because they take space and are useless. I usually use Zedge for those stuff
U can empty the hostfile and del some fonts too.
Nice work, but imho, a barebone shouldnt have a launcher.

I dwnloaded the gallery 3d app frm play shop bt i guess that is different frm d default gallery app? Although d luk and feel is pretty mch d same bt it doesnt have d option to manage lockscreen wallpaper.
I find holo locker to be snaggy. Its nt as smooth as d stock locker.

Guys, I think I will be moving this rom over to XXLA2 baseband. I will flash PDA.tar from raj. deodex it and try to move the rom on that Baseband.
Reason: I will implement, Qeemi's 6 lockscreen in the ROM
So wait and hope it goes good

U need to edit android.policy.jar of your firmware

yea.. bravia engine is just a extension not a hardware thing.. some say that it does not work on other devices but u can actually see the difference in our device as well..

Dude this does not include auto-focus.. Some users think that miui camera enables auto focus on our mini.. But i think auto-focus is a hardware thing and cannot be enabled by any app.. Maybe m wrong..

Yup that is true .... auto-focus is hardware.Some of apps try to simulate this with blur/deblur/noise/denoise.But is not some think with 2 lens that can be moved to get a better image.

Looks nice and smooth...but no signal reception, problem is it's stuck in airplane mode in settings and no matter what I di it reverts back to airplane mode
looks like it has the "airplane mode bug" ....you need to manually register in your network settings to get it. galnet miui ics had this problem. but good work and idea.

i have tried miui 1.12.9 from miui.us and it doesnt have this problem.maybe u can revert back to the older ver.
No signal and not smooth. Lags a lot when using Contacts/People Apps. Lockscreen also feel sluggish. Anyway, good work. Hope all will be fixed soon. Thanks

TouchWiz Stock Clock app
***New Update 22th September 2012***
This is a ported touchwiz clock from the Samsung stock roms. It is tested and working on ICS roms and most Jelly Bean roms. This app has been tested in 240dpi (as it is designed for) and 210dpi, tested in English and French. Any graphical problems you might experience are a direct result to changing the dpi, I will not be accepting requests to change the visual layout of the app because as it is it is completely stock and working perfectly for 240dpi (the intended dpi for this phone)
This app is fully functional except for;
1. the map for the world clock (the world clock is working thought)
2. the popup notification notification that tells you your alarm will go off in X hours and X minutes
3. the color of what you have selected in the snooze options (you will be able to see what is selected in the main alarm screen
apart from these minor details everything else is working. Please do not post to tell me about these things, I already know.
I have added languages from all app versions that I could get my hands on. All the usual languages are included, I have recently included Hebrew and Arabic? as requested. If your language is not supported please tell me, and if possible send me a clockpackage.apk from a stock rom with your language (one that you are sure your language is included in)
This clock app is SGS3 themed where possible. See screenshots below.
I have also included a v2.4 +extras zip, this includes the Samsung digital clock widget (SGS3 themed), the Samsung Accuweather widget with transparent background, the Samsung memo app, and ThinkFree Office app.

no there's no widget with this app, its just the stock clock from i9000, you might be able to try the 'digitalclock.apk' widget which comes with stock sgs2

I'm not sure if it will work though, I think it needs to be ported too..
I don't use that though, I prefer beautiful widget's superclock, it's the same but with the weather in the same space (same size widget)
Oww...and it looks like crap in landscape. ... but its nice that it has the timer. I use it sometimes in the kitchen. Hehe. You guys know other ported cool apps ?

These are all touchwiz apps ported for cm7/9. If you want any of them, you can either ask me to put them in flashable zips, or...
do it yourself by placing that apk in my flashable zip in the OP
Hey, sorry I haven't been back to this post for a while...
I've updated the OP with a new version which fixed the graphical problems of the previous versions, I've also added languages and other things. I have also included a ported version of the Samsung Galaxy 'My Files' app, this will let you choose your own mp3 or other sounds files for alarm tones.
Can someone please test it for me? as I don't have a Nexus S..

for the extras pack, you will need to make sure that you have enough space on the phone too, I am using cm10 and I had to delete some stuff to make space, I deleted the trebuchet launcher and the latinIME keyboard, as I use apex launcher and swype keyboard which take up much less space, that way I was able to free up some more space

Can you see them in the /system/app folder?
Are they the right size files? I mean the same size files as you see in the zip?
If that is the case maybe they aren't working on the Nexus S, I can't see why not though, it is basically the same phone as the i9000 and the touchwiz dependencies are removed too

Yes, it should work on any phone.
If the CWM zip file doesn't work for you you can install the files manually to where they need to be in the /system/app and /system/media folders and then fix permissions and reboot.
However the screen layout is setup for 240dpi phones, I am running it on my i9000 under 210dpi and it works fine too. Let me know how it goes?

1. Battery level stays constant for one particular level image I.e. If the battery is 100% or 85% it still shows 100%.
2. While charging the battery is displayed as almost empty... Can it be fixed?

Precautions/Tips/Hints
This ROM doesn't root your phone automatically, you need to root it manually.
You are advice to calibrate your battery after you install this ROM to ensure a better battery life.
Turn off Data and Wifi when you don't use them. Leaving Data On consumes more battery than leaving Wifi On.
You don't need to use ClockWorld to flash this ROM, basic recovery will do. However data/factory reset is a MUST !

NO single custom ROM pre-installed whatsapp nor twitter... what are you trying to do? Should we reverse your stuff and look if it includes an keylogger or you just gonna troll us?

There is no 1 particular link that i can point you to, but look around the other threads. Some of the developers have already shared their version of miui themes. You can take their permission and use the framework-res if you like something from it.

Suggestion: TwWallpaperChooser.apk's App Name is modified as "Lockscreen Gallery" for Ace-i-Sure ROM. Try TwWallpaperChooser.apk from another ROM if you have got permission. Otherwise Recompile Ace-i-Sure's "TwWallpaperChooser.apk" and Change it's App Name to "Wallpaper Gallery"

the looks are great..
the color(orange) in notification pull down menu is too bright, play with certain color combinations (add little bit red/yellow combination in the color), so that it looks more good!
The 3d effect in notification toogle is good!
