Hello, I've installed Cm9 beta 4 on my galaxy s plus, but I have noticed a few bugs. First, before installing the rom, i saved my contacts on my sd card (vCard or vpn something) and when I use it on the phone I don't get the picture of my contacts (only a few of them, randomly...).
But the biggest problem is the app Tango. Whenever I receive a call, when I answer the app force close. And I can see that my image from my front camera is reversed! Is there something I can do to fix that?

my dialer is FCing one me, twice today already. Anyone else having this problem?
First no photos appear on the contact list so when you try to close it and click the phone button again, it crashes, but works fine after that again.
(I used mybackup pro to resync my contacts after installing froyo)
I have recently flashed DDJG4 and its by far the smoothest eclair for me but I have noticed that some of my contacts have a bug in messaging. Only their number shows up opposed to their name. This is annoying as I dont know who the message is from unless i open the contact details.
Contact details is fine, no problem. Just the messaging app.
Anyone else notice this? any fix ideas?

don't have enough messages from different people to confirm (only 4 so far). however, on a related note, do you see a long delay between unlocking the screen using the puzzle piece and the corresponding message opening in the messaging app?
Not checked. I use pattern lock. Ill have a go and see.

Sorry to say, but its just you.
I have over 41 conversations and all the names display correctly.
I noticed lagging on the lock screen to messaging in ddjf3
In ddjg4 there is no more lag anywhere.
I put the ext2 1gb lagfix just for the heck of it and the phone is now faster than me.
Reflash and see whats wrong.
Use the Backup apps from ritesh sahu.
I use them to backup my data before flashing.
I have the same problem too when I imported/restored about 150 old messages. Did you manage somehow to get rid of the problem? On my phone it's only some contacts where only the number is shown and not connected to a contact. This problem started for me when changing to the jm firmware line. For the jf and jg firmwares this problem does not appear.
Strangely, handcent sms has no problem with the sms/contacts. Therefore, this has to be a bug in the samsung sms application, not in our data.
I'm having a nasty problem with the bionic. When I'm on a call and get a call waiting, I get the force close msg "com.android.phone". If I hit force close, it drops the call I was on immediately. If I just let it sit there, I get about 5 to 10 seconds and it drops the call anyway. Also noticed it drops all connections (up on the status bar) when this happens.
Another (maybe related) issue is I've never been able to view my call log from the standard dialer tab. I installed a 3rd party dialer and the call log is there, just not working at all on the standard dialer. To be more specific, the Dialer, Contacts, and Favorites tabs all work fine, but the Recent tab just shows a drop down (and no data beneath it).
Any help will be greatly appreciated...I'm rooted but don't think I have a backup of the dialer.apk or the phone.apk (?).
I'm rooted also. Had a call waiting call earlier without this issue. I would check what bloat ware you've removed. I don't think its a problem with the dialer apk.

I didn't remove or freeze any bloat...mainly do root to use titanium backup.

Running the RemICS 1.3.2 with baseband KPL. This updated version of this ROM is really good especially since fixing issues with the camera etc.
One thing I have noticed:
I can send pictures and media via MMS and Whatsapp absolutely fine. Although I have a strange issue receiving. I will receive an MMS and be notified of receiving an MMS. I open the default messaging app but no picture, no option to view attachment and no picture downlaoded anywhere on phone although it has received the MMS. Using Whatsapp, I have a very similar issue, I will receive a picture in a conversation and I can see the thumbnail preview. Although clicking this or the 'Download' button appears to do nothing. BUT when I look within the phone or gallery, within the Whatsapp media folder is the file name of this picture ending in .jpg although showing no size (0kb) and it displays a blank thumbnail within the gallery.
It seem as this ROM as an 'issue' handling images to be downloaded via a messaging app. I have not checked other media or other apps. Could this be related to the 'old camera issue' in the older ROM versions?
It has nothing to do with my MMS, APN or NETWORK settings, I have plenty of 3G coverage, WIFI and have even tried downloading via 2G to no avail.
Is this a known fault with this ROM? Is this just my unit? Is there a fix or solution?
Please help because it is irritating me!
If no fix, I may have to change to another ROM. Can anyone recommend a slick looking ROM with good performance and excellent battery longevity?

After installing Asylum Naughties ROM (which is fantastic btw) and I started experiencing sync issues. I am unable to receive emails/whatsapp messages unless I open the app...and then it works fine. I thought it was a force close issue and even if i let the app run in the background, it ceases to receive messages after sometime. The sync settings is set to "auto-sync app data". I've tried other ROMS (Carbon and SlimKAT) and I seem to be facing the same problem.

There is a thread on xda for PNF too. This issue does not only happen on the Note, but also on the Nexus 5...
Auto-sync app data is for whatsapp contacts only, not relevant for sending or receiving messages IIRC..
It is more a problem of "START_STICKY". Google it for further information...
Will try that and post results.
