You'll get everything here mate. Unlock bootloader, Root & CWM Recovery and S-Off and its very easy to use as well.

Hope someone can help me with this. I am looking to unlock my bootloader on the htcdev site but only sensation xl Vodafone shows up on the list but I'm on O2. Anyone know which option I choose to unlock my O2 model? And how danerous is it using the htcdev site?

I think that's the standard sensation listed there for vodafone, not the XL.
Just select 'Other supported models' at the bottom. it should work fine.

I used the Sensation (EU) one myself, and i am on O2 worked like a charm, just be patient and follow the instructions thoroughly.

Have you got Hboot1.25.0004 s-on? Is it safe to unlock bootloader with this hboot?

Just select ALL Other Supported Models. I have HtC Sensation Xl and I have just unlocked the bootloader.

Hello to everyone. I wonder if somebody could help me unlock my bootloader I hAve read and tried all the different ways of doing it but just can't seem to get it. I am rooted but I'm desperate to flash New roms. This is almost beating me and I hate failing. Please help me. Thank you in advance. Apologies for another amateur flasher .

That's weird, shouldn't need to open it though. Should be .exe file extension.
To 'flash' just plug your phone in and into fastboot mode. Then on your PC just duoble (or single) click the RUU.exe file should work. If it doesn't open then right click and run as admin

I have unlocked the bootloader, but i cannot root my phone. I have installed this recovery,download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.3.1-ville.img . I have followed this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583427.
I cannot also use modaco's recovery, and i can't understand why.
That is for ville, you need it for runnymede, or just download the xl multi tool

I tried with multi tool but when i select the choise it goes to main menu.

You will have to go to dev section and read some guides. There are many fine guides out there

If your device is s off you should be able to go back to GB ruu. Just go to htcruu.com and find a ruu for Runnymede, it should be named something with Europe and then take the one with smallest number

There are several ways. But why back to stock GB ROM?
1.
Unlock boot loader, flash recovery and then flash a custom GB ROM
2.
Still unlock and flash and root and then s off and then run the ruu file you like.
All can be done with my tool easy. It will just not flash ROM for you. Also look in the thread for info.
If you want custom ROM then the safest way I know is after you have rooted your device and makes it s off , download the Chinese ROM and rcmix ROM I have linked to in my thread.
When you have flashed Chinese ROM, let it boot up and pick English, go to developer menu and enable debbuging for USB and reboot to recovery, also done easy with my tool, and flash rcmix ROM and do the same. When you have flashed both and are in recovery, flash any ROM for sensation XML , but remember to do it as written in the thread where ROM is downloaded.

Check your cid number. And post it so we can see what version you will need. You can do it in my tool.

Goto footballs thread & download the exe file.. if u have downloaded the zip from my thread then it needs to be flashed from recovery.. for that u need a unlocked bootloader
