CM9 ramdisk
Camera
What not working:
WIFI
Everything other is untested!
What working but not good:
everything other is untested
IMPORTANT !!!
Somehow boot.img can not be flashed without "fastboot", I tried using dd, using recovery, using some other tools... it can not be flashed this way!
To get everything ok and corectly for CM9 you need to flash these boot.img from these zip using fastboot !!! Its only a way!!! So after installing rom (or before installing the rom), reboot phone to the bootloader, flash boot.img this way:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Its reguired because audio and other things not working if you not flash boot.img !!!
Google Apps for Ice Cream Sandwich:
You can find it here -> http://goo.im/gapps/
My android git for Desire C: https://github.com/munjeni
If you like my work and if my hard work on this device helped you to get something better, please give full credits "at least" to my hard work, thanks! If you use source code from my git please do not miss my name in your post, thank you! Happy porting!!!
IMPORTANT if you compiling CM9 from source!!!
Double check build.prop because some lines is replaced by new line, so you need to back these new line into original line, if you not do it you will get boot loop! Its easy for figuring out, simple open build.prop file and fix these lines, its something like:
ro.ril.blablabla
1,15 US
ITA
blabla
but need to be in one line like this:
ro.ril.blablabla 1,15 US ITA blabla
Kernel: kernel is Htcdev stock rom source code.

Its reguired because audio and other things not working if you not flash boot.img !!!
- Do not install superuser or any other permission tool because MIUI have his own security feature Superuser, Supersu...etc will break compatibility and other apk will not work corectly!
- To get MIUI security feature working you need to give and remember permissions to the MIUI LBE guard (it will enable byself), but to invoke these settings menu you need to initiate these menu by settings submenu (cpu control)... run cpu control from setting menu, you will be prompted for root permissions, enable root permissions, open again cpu control submenu and apply for example an cpu frequency, you will be prompted for root permissions, aply them, reboot phone, after next boot you will be prompted for LBE guard security, APPLY AND REMEMBER permissions for LBE, reboot phone and you are done! After this settings your root permissions manager, startup manager...etc and everything other which using LBE feature will be full working now!
Download rom:

Give it time, its still a very new device.
If I had the technical knowledge I would definitely offer my help, but unfortunately, programming with linux/android is beyond my ability.
The wildfire s was also very slow to receive development for some time after its release, but now its buzzing with both cm9/10.
Whatever you decide is best for you Munjeni, we do appreciate all your efforts mate:thumbup:

Thanks for the share.. works great.

yeah man, i didn't have the ability to work with android and linux too... sorry !
but i'm a very good tester haha, only things i really need to work right now it's the wifi.

Appreciate the work. Hope this can be further progressed.
I'm not great with linux and porting, but I hope theres others who can help out.

I would like to help, but I don't know how to port sense 2.1 and 3.5 for our device.

Munjeni,
would it be useful to use some of the sources from the HTC explorer/pico, its using the same cpu. I'm not sure about the other hardware, board or radio etc.
Here's the thread link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1821582
The guys github might be useful.

keep it up! thank you

Thanks, will try to build audio libs from explorer. Wifi chip is diferent in desire but I have idea how to fix it... new build will be soon! Did you tested gps?
Edit:
I'm unable to get audio and wifi, still have no idea which audio libs is inside stock rom (is it qdspv2 or what??), I just wont to compile it from source! About wifi, I have compiled/tried many compact wireless modules in combination with compiling/configuring it with android source and still no way/idea how to fix it (with every compiled modul I am unable to find/create wlan0 still only sucess if I use at6kl_sdio.ko from stock rom but unable to fix wifi...). Do you have idea/link to source for sdio version of the Atheros 6kl modul, I am unable to find it, only I have found ath6kl without _sdio prefix... ??? Any info will help me! Why these s**ts is harcoded in Desire C... very stupidly and boring thing that we need hard work to get this s**t working. but CM9 and Jelly Bean is very fast and smooth in Desire C ! I am unable to sell this phone (do it mean it is realy an s**t phone...?? I think too! Missing compas, mising camera autofokus, mising button backlights (very strange that htc selling this phone without lights for butons), its 600mhz only...etc) so I will leave this development for sure when I buy an another phone in next few weeks (what you mean about Sony Xperia Go 1ghz dual core, display 3.5inch, cam autofocus, blic!...etc???)! If you need cm9 source three let me know!

@Munjeni
This helped me to link a modfied kernel to get the wifi working on differents roms. Not sure if this is what you need.
In the About phone information of the rom, it looks like:
2.6.35.7-ge382d80
[email protected]
The important part above is -ge382d80, and we have to reference this when compiling the kernel. Make sure the part preceding -ge382d80 does match the output of the following command:
$ make kernelversion
The trick is to write that -ge382d80 in a .scmversion file in the kernel source tree (obviously, you need to replace -ge382d80 with whatever your device has):
so in the root of the kernel source type
$ echo -ge382d80 > .scmversion
This may work if you are having problems with wifi. If you need me to compile a kernel with your version reference let me know; just post this from the cm9 rom - 2.6.35.7-ge382d80
[email protected]
If you do move on with phones, please post the CM9 source, hopefully others can help too.
info from http://glandium.org/blog/?p=2214

Thanks, but dude, first, we speaking here about CM9 android, not about stock android. I speaking here about enabling wifi under CM9 only! But about stock rom and wifi you no need to hack kernel in order to change version, you have a better way to do that, you just need to edit golfu_defconfig, change version string, and you can compile kernel that will have the version like stock kernel...its not problem...I know that allready! But wifi under cm9 not working now! Problem is why these wifi libs/firmwares/modules is hardcoded and why missing from public kernel source! It mean its not part of the golfu kernel, its part of compat wireless source and wifi module is compiled from there!!! I tried many compact wifi modules to compile from source but still no one working... unable to enable wifi from android settings menu... I think there is something hardcoded in ramdisk init (binary) because cm9 init binary could not giving cm9 rom to boot! So "init" is allso hardcoded! I got wifi (not stock modules) working but only manualy init! Still wifi enabled from android settings menu could not be enabled and I have no idea why! I found ideal kernel wifi "sdio bassed" source for our desire c but these kernel is 3.6 and ath6kl module reguire a lot of works if we want to port it to our kernel, still unable to compile! But I found compat wireless but on my look into source I am unable to find compatible ath6kl source for example I am unable to find sdio bassed source "ath6kl_sdio" that have definitions "path to firmwares" inside core.h:
Code:
/* AR6003 3.0 definitions */
#define AR6003_HW_2_1_1_VERSION 0x30000582
#define AR6003_HW_2_1_1_FW_DIR "ath6k/AR6003/hw2.1.1"
#define AR6003_HW_2_1_1_OTP_FILE "otp.bin"
#define AR6003_HW_2_1_1_FIRMWARE_FILE "athwlan.bin"
#define AR6003_HW_2_1_1_TCMD_FIRMWARE_FILE "athtcmd_ram.bin"
#define AR6003_HW_2_1_1_UTF_FIRMWARE_FILE "utf.bin"
#define AR6003_HW_2_1_1_TESTSCRIPT_FILE "nullTestFlow.bin"
#define AR6003_HW_2_1_1_PATCH_FILE "data.patch.bin"
#define AR6003_HW_2_1_1_BOARD_DATA_FILE AR6003_HW_2_1_1_FW_DIR "/bdata.bin"
#define AR6003_HW_2_1_1_DEFAULT_BOARD_DATA_FILE \
AR6003_HW_2_1_1_FW_DIR "/bdata.SD31.bin"
If you help me to find compat wireless source that have definitions for path to firmwares than I will maybe fix wifi! I no want "stock" files, I just want to compile custom from source!
Other problem:
Android source code (cm9, jelly bean) allso mising something about ath6kl thing! For example, found all references about ath6kl with "all paths to"... see here -> http://paste.ubuntu.com/1187235/ ...expecialy this line:
Code:
/./system/lib/libhardware_legacy.so:ath6kl_sdio
so what these LINE mean? These line mean that ath6kl is referenced too in android source code (libhardware_legacy folder !) and allso hardcoded for our desire c because libhardware_legacy inside CM* android source code missing these ath6kl things! So we have BOOTH problem/missing source code for ath6kl_sdio in android and in kernel for our desire c wifi and we first need to find them, import them into android source, import them into kernel source, and finaly compile...
About audio:
I have absolutely no idea which source code is used for compilation for desire c ... its like another hardcode We probably can use audio libs from stock rom and fix some errors/mising lines in cm9 framework to get these libs working, now I have "SIGSEGV" with these libs! I have no idea, generic audio libs compiled from from cm9 source code not working, I am unable to fix it, its very annoying and hard !
Edit:
Possible solution for android only -> https://github.com/vegaics/libhardware_legacy/blob/master/wifi/wifi.c this need to be modified for Golfu

Guys, I sold my Desire, I will not continue developing for this phone so I will upload cm9 source tomorow on my git so you can finish them, sorry and happy porting!

Thanks for your work. I don't know enough about linux to help with the porting. Hope some others are out there to continue

Link to my Desire C android source code used for this build is here -> https://github.com/munjeni so if you like my work and if my hard work on this device helped you to get something better, please give full credits "at least" to my hard work, thanks! If you use source code from my git please do not miss my name in your post, thank you! Happy porting!!! :good:

Thanks munjeni, good luck with your future developments mate:thumbup:
I'm gonna start learning some of this development stuff for future projects, I have an upgrade in a month or two so I'll wait till then before I start messing with my phone, don't wanna be left phoneless.
I'm sure development will pick up soon guys, this is still a pretty new device, and I'm sure experienced devs will arrive soon (fingers crossed)
This would be an even greater/faster device with cyanogenmod and little bump to the cpu frequency.
It has great battery life, even in comparison to my sons s3 and my brother's too, which is a great feature for any recent smartphone.

HTC Desire C uses MSM76XXA Audio libraries .. since munjeni left the project, if anyone else is interested i will share the source

here's a mirror to the download above with the stock ROM files already added http://www.filefactory.com/file/4sc9kje5y6cx/n/cm9_golfu-ota-eng.root.zip

I help JasonStein compiling the kernel from source
Thx for your support
don't forget to download wifi drivers :
https://github.com/freexperia/vendor_ti_wlan
then to compile : HOST_PLATFORM=msm KERNEL_DIR=~/android/sources ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=/home/bhe/android/system/prebuilt/linux-x86/toolchain/arm-eabi-4.4.0/bin/arm-eabi- make
change path for kernel sources and toolchain
you have to do it twice, somewhere in ap directory and somewhere in sta directory
you will need wifi modules matching your compiled kernel version

Yay for MIUI!
I'm definitely gonna give this a try once WiFi/3G work. Thanks so much!
So wifi is not working little deal breaker
Over all great progress.
Can't wait to see some more functionality.
Sent from my Arc to your eyes.
Other than the things mentioned by you to be non functional, the rom seemed silky on my arc. I could not get root access so no titanium backup to test additional apps but so far so good, great job mate....
Still waiting for the perfect version

Stable rom

This ROM is now significantly more stable and usable than it was before. It is now suitable to be flashed by anyone that want's to check out basically a stock AOSP build of Android 4.0.4 with a few CM tweaks included. There will still be bugs, just report them to me so I can fix it
If anyone wants some screenshots, they are attached to this post.
This CM9 ROM is more of a stock AOSP build than a CM9 build. There aren't many tweaks available in the system section of settings yet, however as a consequence the ROM feels very smooth and responsive. As far as I can tell with my own testing, only the camera isn't working properly and the GApps don't seem to play very nice with this ROM for some reason. They install fine and you have access to the Play store etc, but Google Maps and other apps aren't installed it seems. Easy fix just go to the play store and download what you need.
Changelog
Code:
V1.0 Aug14/12
-USB/SD Card mounting now works
-Removed GApps (Available as seperate package)
-Wifi/USB tethering works
-Updated Trebuchet
-Added No-Frills CPU Control (I like it better than performance settings, can set it up so that OC values won't be applied if system unexpectedly shuts down)
-More stable
V0.5Beta Aug08/12
-Initial Release
-Apex launcher, ES File explorer, LordModUV, Auto-Rotate Switch, Titanium Backup apk's added to ROM
-Jellybean boot animation
-Smooth, fluid usage.
-Overclocking works without problems.
-Theme Manager works
-Wifi,3G,HSPA, etc all work.
Bugs
Code:
-Camera doesn't work
-Android Terminal Emulator crashes; Fix - Update app in Play Store. (My bad forgot to fix that, next release will be fixed)
-Gallery app doesn't work. Fix - Use Quickpic or other 3rd party gallery apps.
-Titanium Backup doesn't work. Fix - Use Rom Toolbox pro to restore your apps.
-Backing up apps doesn't work, can only restore apps.
-You tell me!
As I said, this is still a major work-in-progress and will have updates coming. I don't have internet at home right now, I'm only 18 and just moved out on my own a month ago and can't yet afford internet. Uploading my ROMs will happen at my parent's house whenever possible, so updates will sometimes be delayed.
My intentions with this ROM are to eventually build out more features in the "System" tweaks section as I learn how to implement them. I want to eventually make this a much more feature-fillled ROM. Right now, however my immediate attention is on fixing whatever bugs pop up in this ROM. For the most part, its very smooth and I have encountered very few hiccups/lag. Feature implementations will come slow however, as I don't yet know how to do it. I'll be learning so don't worry, it'll come eventually!

Thanks, I think I'll do that. What files exactly are the ones that need to be fixed? I would prefer to look at a fixed version of the files I need and make the neccessary changes myself so that I can learn the code.

My pleasure! This ROM is the culmination of 4-5 weeks of studying any android guide I could find, decompiling many ROMs and apks, and countless nights left staring at the white HTC screen when my ROM fails to boot.
Although this ROM is also proof that anyone with no background experience in programming/software development can get involved in Android dev work! It takes a lot of time and dedication, but it's worth it in the end when you finally have something you can call your own. (Granted I used a CM9 base from Kaijura, but that's because I'm using a laptop and there's only 10GB left on the HDD. Not a chance in hell I can install Ubuntu and compile from source until I build a new computer in the coming months)

I was thinking of starting up and learning too, but I got no clue which guides to look at, could you maybe link one or two guides which you found particually helpful?
Good luck fixing the Rom, will be good to try out a new one.

Obviously, as you can see above XDA is the best resource available for anything android! Those are only the guides and places I have bookmarked I read a lot more guides than that, I just didn't save them for future reference. Download a bunch of ROMs for your device and take a look inside each ROM. Get familiar with the file structure and learn where all the important files are and what they do. Learn how to tweak your build.prop, write proper functioning updater scripts, decompile tweaks and look at the source code to see how it was accomplised. Those are my favorite ways of learning. Also youtube has some decent instructional videos on how to compile Android from source.
I'm getting extremely frustrated with this ROM. Everytime I try to fix the bugs and change any libs or files in the bin folder, the ROM hangs on the white screen. I'm not doing anything stupid with the files, just trying to use ICS8.2 libs to see if it fixes certain problems. Can you simply drag and drop libs and other files like that from other ROMs and than just recompile? Or is it more complicated than that? How can I view the source code of a lib? or a file in the /system/bin folder? Currently neither of those files are viewable inside Windows 7 with notepad++ or anything I have installed on my computer. Also when I look in ICS8.2 I see that ROM has quite a few init.d scripts compared to my ROM. How can I incorporate more init.d scripts? What files have to be changed to get them to work properly? I know if you look inside the init.d script you can see what file it needs but for example-
Code:
if busybox [ ! -f /system/etc/liberty.cfg ]; then
busybox mount -o remount,rw /system
cat > /system/etc/liberty.cfg << EOF
There is no liberty.cfg file in the ROM at all. None. Not even in ICS8.2. Does that bit of code mean the system is going to create a file called liberty.cfg at /system/etc? Or does it mean the script searches for a file called liberty.cfg in /system/etc? I'm currently trying to fix the camera as well, and which files for our HTC Vivo control the camera? I know there are a few libs and a file or two related to the camera spread through out various folders in the ROM, but I wouldn't mind a direct confirmation from a more experienced dev or someone who has experience with this kind of issue on our phone.
Also I found the vold.fstab file was for the HTC Passion not the Vivo. I'm hoping changing Passion to Vivo will cause the SD card to mount properly. In the /system/lib/hw folder there is a file called camera.goldfish.so in the CM9 base from Kaijura, but in ICS8.2 there are 2, camera.goldfish.so and camera.msm.7X30. There's also a file in there called copybit.msm.7X30 what is that file used for? Is it related to the camera as well?
As you can tell, I'm using ICS8.2 as a kind of goal/inspiration. I look at the features and stability in that ROM and that's what I want mine to be like eventually. It's also pretty much the only up-to-date build of AOSP ICS for our phone, which is why I tend to lean on that ROM for libs and files. I prefer to make the changes to the code myself instead of simply copy-pasting everything, so I usually have the file I want edited open alongside the same file from a different ROM so I can see the code for both files and learn from it by typing out the changes myself.
Edit:If I compile the latest trebuchet.apk from github, will it be compatible with our device right away or will I need to make changes to the app to get it to work properly for our phone?
Thanks for anyone who can take the time to help me, it will be greatly appreciated!
Anyone? I'm seriously stumped right now. There's gotta be someone, a dev or something that knows the answer to my questions. Please guys?

I'm not a dev but since trebuchet seems just like a launcher to me, I guess it should work with the newest .apk But I'm not sure, just assuming...
V1.0 has been released! See OP for changelog and details. My next focus will be to fix the camera and after that I'll learn how to add more tweaks into the settings>system section.

this is awesome dude great work! once you fix camera ill be sure to switch over and check it out. i just need my camera
will be much more great if it is cm10 ,
anyway good job and thanks
The Camera is my highest priority right now, I will be concentrating all my efforts on figuring that out next. CM10 would be nice, but I'm not nearly experienced enough to successfully port Jellybean to our phone unfortunately. As soon as we have a JB port available, or if I eventually figure out the problems that come from porting JB then I for sure will release that as well! Just don't get your hopes up, I'm still very new to this.
Does mms have the wap2 setting like sense roms? Or is this missing as like all AOKP roms?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
Thanks for you ROM and development guides .
I will learn it to develop ROM for other device I have .

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.
This is work in progress, this means not everything is properly fixed or resized, so please, report bugs only and not resizing issues, as I will resolve them, if you have proper values or strings to make it look better, I will receive them, thanks!

Go to Settings, System, Font size, set it to NORMAL
Check "Auto Hide" in Settings, System, Statusbar, to finally get Fullscreen
If you have an issue and you want to call my attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its the base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease my work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

This is compiled from source, is not a port
ParanoidAndroid from PAC is version 2.15, and this one is 2.20 (and soon will be 2.21)
This does have the ICS kernel from TheWhisp, that means data counter and limiter works
Uses Android 4.1.2 and instead of PAC Android 4.1.1
This is only ParanoidAndroid, PAC is a combination of AOKP+CM10 and PA, but it isn't updated yet.
Anyway, we (FalzaL3040 and me) are collaborating eachother for make things work better. Probably he will use this ParanoidAndroid and import the features from PAC (or import features from this ROM to PAC) and publish a new release.
Would it be possible to set lowest dpi on sliders to 70 in next release? Phablet ui looks smashing in 70

Disclaimer: I do not claim to be a developer... However, by READING, SEARCHING, and TRYING, I've learned some tricks of the trade. One of them has been building from source. All I am doing is putting a few pieces together to make it compile, all the hard work has been done by h8rift and mg2195. Their repos, hard work, and dedication build this ROM - all thanks/credit goes to them as well as the PACman, CM, AOKP, and the PA teams. Being that this is built off of h8/mg's trees, any bugs present in the CM10 ROM will be present in this ROM. The box that I compile on is by no means speedy, so updates will come when there are major breakthroughs, as soon as I can get them built. Feel free to post bugs, but please don't expect them to be addressed quickly, especially if it's not on h8's or mg's to-do list - like I said, I'm not a developer, but I will be tinkering – but with 4 kids, a full time job, a house to manage, and a build PC that’s years behind the game, play time comes sparingly. I test these builds on my own device before any release, but I do not claim it will work for everyone. ALWAYS have a nandroid in case of emergencies. I am NOT responsible for bricked devices or catastrophic failure

RECOMMENDATIONS/MY PREFERENCES/TIPS
I've chosen not to incorporate these things into the builds, as they are easy enough to do on your own, and I didn't want to shove my preferences down others throats. Feel free to ignore any and/or all of these.
Code:
- Use a different launcher. I like Holo Launcher, I'm sure others work as well - but Trebuchet/Launcher2 seems
kinda choppy compared to alternate launchers.
- Use a different file browser. I use JRummy's Root Browser, find his thread on XDA for getting
rid of the ads. Again, I'm sure others work as well. CM's file manager is included - if you choose
to use it, make sure you enable Root Access in settings. I feel like other browsers are
currently superior to CM's, but YMMV
- Find a flashplayer 11 apk (available all over the web) and install it.
- Turn off keyboard vibrations (language and input in settings). Typing seems way more smooth (as it
always does on every device I've ever used)
- Turn on Developer Options in settings, and turn on Android debugging. Also in Developer Options,
choose Root access, and set it to Apps and ADB
- Allow installation of apps from Unknown Sources in Settings > Security
- You can find a quick guide for using Paranoid Settings here ([url]http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35018434&postcount=2[/url])
NOT WORKING
Code:
- 720/1080p playback hiccups sometimes and tells you it can't play the video. Just restart it.
Also, fast forwarding 720/1080 isn't working great either.
- Can't adjust in call volume. The slider moves, but volume level stays the same.
- Currently some users have reported that the remote party hears themselves echo in a
call
- You tell me
CHANGELOG
Code:
02.10.13
- OC to 1.72
- h8rift's bluetooth fix (tethering, A2DP, calls, battery)
02.05.13
- Sources updated
- Added 4.2 Camera/Gallery
- Full Screen Viewfinder
- Working Panorama/Photosphere/Edit
- Working Picasa Web Album Sync
- Hopefully enabled stereo recording in 720/1080p video
- Fixed 1080p timelapse recording (if anyone uses it)
- Updated Kernel
- UV to 750000
- badass, smartassv2, and lag free governors
- V(R) and BFQ I/O Schedulers
- Imported qdsp6v3 (Rezound) audio drivers
01.28.13
- CPU properly clocked to 1.5 for everyone
- User Controlled Voltage (max 1350mV, min 812.5mV)
- CPU States File enabled,
- Default gov changed to interactive, set to Max 1.536 Min 192
- The flashable boot.img/modules is in the Downloads Section. If you're S-On, you need
to flash the .zip, as well as fastboot flash the boot.img. Use CPU Spy to view CPU States,
and System Tuner for Voltage Control. Definitely wipe Dalvik, and a wipe of cache isn't a
bad idea.
01.22.13
- PAC v19.0.0 - v19.3.0 (I'll try and find some more information about actual differences :))
- Includes boot.img with OC and external storage USB fix
01.15.13
- New boot.img only. This fixes the problem where external USB storage wouldn't mount
to your computer. The download is in the downloads section.
01.08.13
- Fixed issue where ATT in call mic didn't always initialize first call after flash or reboot
- Default APN for ATT users will now be PTA (LTE)
- Kernel now has CPU clock speeds available up to 1.512, where it should be
01.03.13
- Enabled 1080p recording/playback. This does not make the camera perfect.
There are still some problems with 720/1080 recording (the occasional
tearing/glitchiness we've always had), but a step in the right direction.
12.28.12
- Official PACman is no longer in Alpha, and has updated from v18.0.0 to v19.0.0
12.26.12
- h8rift found a temporary fix for the bluetooth battery drain. It will still drain when
Bluetooth is on, but will no longer drain as long as bluetooth is off
12.20.12
- Thanks to h8rift, we now have bluetooth (connects and pairs, but no a2dp yet), crt off animation, battery stats are
available, and USB transfer speeds have been increased.
- Updated PAC and device source

It seems it doesn't initialize with the first call, but each call after that I've tried I've been audible
http://www.mediafire.com/?ko0r125knhppo91
Flashable in recovery for S-Off users, S-On users will need to fastboot flash boot.img that's included after flashing this in recovery.
i know it's not 100%, but closer i guess
I'll have full builds up later today

Thanks to:
@g.lewarne, @hardcore, @chandler929, @Formhault, @androidindian, @noteandfound, @chasmodo, @TeamHacksung, @samsung, @CyanogenMod team, ......,
and a lot of names to add.
Brief:
First, I would like to thank the people I mentioned and not mentioned in section 2. Notably g.lewarne, you are always the owner of HydraCore. Thank you for your great work. Galaxy Note now became a legend with your masterpiece.
Secondly, I would like to thank all people who gave me support, encourage and advise. Under your help, HydraCore has became a really universal and almost perfect kernel.
In this new thread, the legendary Universal Kernel has a new name -- HydraCoreNirvana. I think the word Nirvana can tell the story of HydraCore. With the new name, the kernel steped onto a new stage -- bootable on JB leaks. It is not fully functional, but it is a good beginning.
I have to say that I am not a dev. And I am another Child's Slave who use lavatory time as off hours. I really don’t know how far I can go on this. So please, forgive me if someday I got stuck and be absent like Gavin.
......long after n6......
For a long time I kept absent. I really found it hard to go on especially after the CM team upgraded the Mali driver. I am not the right guy to do the library job. So I switched to Samsung Opensource codes.
The first thing I did was building the Speedmod. I succussed. Meanwhile I made a build with Speedmod kernel image and PhilZ touch recovery initramfs. These builds worked fine with new released TouchWiz Jelly Beans. However, the CM code is going away with the Samsung Opensource codes. There are too many differences between them. The HOME button key issue was one result of this. It is harder and harder to combine CM and TouchWiz in one kernel. It is not just an universal initramfs, the kernel image itself needs to be universalized.
So I have to make a lamentable decision that from now on, I will stick with Samsung Opensource codes. So TouchWiz Jelly Beans will be supported prior to CM and other AOSP roms which have good enough kernels. Legacy features of HydraCore will be transplanted to the new builds one by one with careful test. CM and other AOSP roms maybe bootable with the new builds, but the functionality will not be guaranteed.
At last, thank you all for your long time support. I will keep on building this kernel and try my best to keep it Hydra for everyone. But for now, I can only step on one side, and I choose TouchWiz.
......more to add......
Technical Description:
Safety: mem_cap_erase disabled, so this is a safe kernel.
ROM Support:
ICS (4.0.X):
TouchWiz Based: TouchWiz ICS fully supported. Official MIUI still can not boot to system, adb works.
AOSP Based: CM9 fully supported, AOKP and some PA......, and maybe other untested roms.
JB (4.1.X):
TouchWiz Based: TouchWiz JB, MIUI made by TWJB + Patchrom from http://www.miui.com/extra.php?mod=download/rom&fid=133 fully supported.
AOSP Based: CM10 fully supported, AOKP and some PA......, and maybe other untested roms.
JB (4.2.X):
TouchWiz Based: Not out even leaked yet
AOSP Based: CM10.1 has bootloop with display.
Recovery: CWM 6 non touch recovery from @Phil3759: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1927097.
Root privilege: ADB and LBE superuser.
Usage:
Place the ZIP in the TF card.
Root the phone: If you and if you are sure that you have a safe kernel with CWM jume to next. If you phone is unrooted, Flash the TAR version in Odin to get Root and CWM.
Now you may meet bootloop, Press UP + HOME + POWER until you see the CWM interface. (the phone will never boot to the system with a stock rom flashed a TAR version)
Flash the ZIP in CWM.
Enjoy
Please don't ask me how to use CWM. If you don't know, don't flash any kernel.
Download with Changelog:
Instructions:
These are SourceForge folders, so open in a browser. The corresponding source is included in the same folder.
Not all releases will be kept in this post, find the old ones in the repository. I will keep all files as long as possible. (It seems SourceForge don't delete old files.)
Little trick: maybe you can try middle-click the links, a new tab maybe opened.
Notice: If you met black screen or bootloop after flashing the tar file. Try the zip package (The recovery should be working). The standalong Mali libraries might fix the problem.

Just follow the readme file.
TODO and TOFIX:
Add Multi-ROM-on-SdCard support.
Investigate the reason of the CM10 and CM10.1 failure boot.
Make MIUI v4 bootable. Fix CM boot problems.
AOSP MIUI JB support.
Bring back more HydraCore features.
Bring ability to set GPU frequency. This is extremely hard to me.
Bring ability to set CPU voltages. Found the location of the settings. Working on it.
Bring more ability to alter the kernel without reflash.
Tweak all the script included.
Study on offcial source code of JB.
64GB cards. I am not sure. 64GB exceeds Fat32 limitation. and exfat is not supported correctly.
Vibration Strength not alterable on AOSP roms. I am still working on this, maybe compile two different modules will solve the problem.
Q&A Collection:
How to flash: like I said if you don't know how to flash, then don't flash. Or you can read section 4.
Can I flash on ...?: Please get to know you rom type, AOSP or TouchWiz based, then please read section 4.
Bootloop/Freeze/..., help!: please be concrete, I can not answer questions simple like this.
Possible reasons of Black Screen: From n9, standalong Mali libraries are located in the zip. Try to use the zip package. It might fix the problem.
Possible reasons of Bootloop:
Please check your rom type see whether your rom is supported.
Another reason is the unsuppored modules. Look in to /system/lib/modules if it exist. And delete dhd.ko, j4fs.ko, scsi_wait_scan.ko and Si4709_driver.ko if they exist. Deleting dhd.ko may also fix WIFI problem.
Possible reasons of Lag: Check the governor and IO settings. Or maybe just clean the RAM. At last, reboot.
Possible reasons of Freeze: Usually happens after a heavy load work. Try to reboot. Reboot usually works.
