[Q] s5830i and sdhc? - Galaxy Ace S5830i General

Hi,
Anyone know if our phones are able to use sdhc cards?

Yes they are.
I have a SanDisk Ultra 8GB Micro SDHC I (partitioned using ClockworkMod Recovery) and it works fine for me.

Thanks. Its just that i am having some issues but i think its to do with the card failing! I've got a 16gig mini sdhc that refuses to format no matter what software i use.
Anyone had difficilties before and found a solution??

How bigger the size of the Micro SD(HC) Card, the more issues are with it. As I sad, this is also with SD, not only SDHC.

I think it maybe a fake card or a dud batch! Bought it off eBay so I guess that's the risk you take!

I've got a Kingston 8GB sdhc card in my gt-s5830-i which works fine. If you haven't saved anything to your card partition it using ClockworkMod recovery. Using that you can create an sd-ext2 second partition (see "advanced" -> "partition SD card") for use with the link2sd app for moving apps from internal memory on to that partition on the card.

If you have a partition,
Your partition may not be formatted into correct Linux format. Ext2 will have this issue. Try ext3 or 4 to solve this problem.
Or,
That may be a broken sd
Or,
Kernel or Rom issue

[Q] Maximum size of ext sd card for Samsung Galaxy Note

Hi to all friends,
I have been using samsung galaxy note since past few weeks. I had always thought that the maximum size of ext sd card supported is only upto 32GB however I could see users who seem to use 64GB ext sd cards on their phones....Is it possible or any software needed to be installed so that the phone recognizes it?.... Thank for reading my message....
Just make sure it's formatted as Fat32 and not exFAT. WORKS GREAT!

Using a 64gb card in my phone at the moment. When I first purchased it I used a program called " H2testw 1.4 " just to check if it was genuine. This program fills the card with data then reads it back. If it fails it will tell you so you can return it.
Have had no problems with the card. Just remember to format it in the phone.

[Help!] SD Card

Hello XDAians..
So, basically, something is wrong with my SD Card after partitioning using Swapper..
Now, my phone doesn't even read my SD Card. You can't go through files, etc.
I know the problem is not the ROM nor the PHONE.. because my phone reads my brother's SD Card which is the same class, space & type..
I can't format because MiniPartition tool also doesn't recognize my SD Card.. Help?
My SD Card is a Class 2, 8GB, MicroSDHC.
Please help. I really need my SD Card to install new ROMS and MODS..
Have you tried CWM built in
It also doesn't read anything

Try it in a computer. That doesn't work, it's fried. I had that with a 16GB PNY card. My current Samsung works fine no matter what I do

The thing is, I don't have an adapter for the SD Card..
If it isn't working in cwm then you only have to find a adapter and partition again...
I got the same, after I deleted swap it solved

Hmm.. I know I got an adapter somewhere in my house.. Just need to find it..

Mini tool partition is the best...
Use it and delete swap
Sent from my E15i using Tapatalk 2
hmm if you swaps, i recommend u use a class 6 or higher to lower risk
please use class 2 sd class
maybe you can use card reader to check it..is it still FAT format or not
then try to fix it or something else like repair your sdcard
and turn on your phone WITHOUT sdcard
last, turn it on again WITH sdcard

[Q] Sandisk microSDXC 64GB class 10 UHS1 showing 27.46GB!

I have bought Sandisk microSDXC 64GB class 10 UHS1. When I put it in my computer using USB2.0 Kingston Mobile Reader it could not recognise it. I removed it and I placed it in my Galaxy Note. I went into clockworkmod 6.19 (Non Touch) and I partitioned the card with 2GB or 4GB (I do not remember exactly!!!) and Swap size 256k. When my phone restarted, the phone did not recognize the card. Therefore, I went through the internet to find a solution. I found the program "EaseUS Partition Master 9.1.1 Home Edition" and reformatted the card with FAT32 and cluster size 32KB. When it finally finished, it gave me the size 27.46GB!! I reformatted through SD Formatter 3.0 hoping that the partition used through Clockworkmod messed up the actual size of the card. I successfully re-formatted the card, however the size remained the same. I know that the size of a microSDHC card 32GB is around 29GB, therefore it does not explain size 27.46GB.
My question now, if there is an answer!!! Is the card faulty or did Clockworkmod messed with the card?
Please advise if possible!
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this, because I think this a very strange story!

I think that the CWM messed up with the SD partition. Try to format in Windows ad tell me the results.
if I'm correct 32gb is the max for the n7000. Note II does up to 64gb
Nope. I have the same card and it shows me all of the space(about 59gb) and i juat put it in the phone.

Could be the reason OR the Card Reader may not be compatible with SDXC...
I got a Transcent dual (micro and standard Card reader) which works fine while some others incompatible.
Once he got the good card reader, he should try to format first the SDXC as exFat (on Windows 7) to be sure he got 64GB, then to get it work on the G-Note is another story...
I had to copy some files (any kind) on the card, then when plugged on the G-Note, the system detect an issue and propose to format the card (watch carefully at the messages)... When done, all is good !

Thank you for your answers! I have no solution, but I sent the card for a replacement and Im getting a Sandisk USB 3.0 Reader, so as soon as check I will inform with the results!
