★★★ Welcome To BlackCNA ★★★
This is a clean compiled build from source of Codename Android for the Galaxy Note. It is not a port. This is pure AOSP build with the best cherry pics from AOKP and CM10. This Rom have NO MEMORY LAG. Under the hood i have kanged EGL/GLES drivers and Mali GPU from the Galaxy Note 2 Rom Leak. All credits goes to Codenamedroid, AOKP, Team Eos (please Donate them).
Big thanks also goes to TeamHacksung (thx for device tree) and CyanogenMod Team (CM10) as many features are cherry-picked from their source code.

Excellent work on the memory lag M3dd0g, I hope you share that success with the rest of the Note community, Thanks for your hard work, as well as Firasusman and the rest of the gang

Read the installation of BlackCNA carefully. First disable PIN for simcard in settings before you flash the ROM !!! You must do this because after every reboot there is no software keyboard and you can´t unlock your phone !!! We are hard working on this problem...

Links are online... Have Fun...

We got it. Release the beast :banghead:

Been using Slim Bean on SGS2 and now seeing this on Note... great! Congrats!
Edit: I suppose dpi changer is available under Developer option -> LCD density?
Edit2: Ic.. propmodder will do the trick.

Great news,thanks

Depends which rom are you from. If you're on Samsung based, Settings -> Security -> Set up SIM card lock.

Just flashed.....appart from keyboard not loading on boot.... this ROM is flawless and smooth.
Can't wait to play with it for 24 hours.
Thanks m3ddog. Firas and the team.

OP states full wipe necessary if you come from different rom, which is very very likely!

The ROM is called black CNA. It dictates black theme by definition. However, there is this option under settings/themes which you can use to play around with compatible themes you may find on the market that transforms the look and feel of the device. Note, compatible themes. Some themes are not even compiled by the themers to work on asop /aokp builds the same way they do on cm10 builds. The ROM has this theme feature for this purpose to change the way the device looks. But again, this is black CNA

Data in the sense of /sdcard contents will be intact and will remain even with full wipe, but coming from different ROM , full wipe is a must to get /system formatted. /system is where your old ROM system files are stored.

I did a clean install (system / data / cache format)
A couple of things I have noticed.
1. Small bug, to disable the nav bar, you have to go to power options and select the option to disable. Then you have to enable the option (even though it's already on the screen, hence enabled), from the long press power button, before you can disable it.
2. It is lightning fast and after 45 minutes seems bug free other than the one mentioned and the keyboard.
3. You weren't lying about the RAM leak, so far no issue at all, amazing stuff.
So all up a very nice release.

Hi i m on Black Liquid Hydracore 4.3b do i need to boot into redpill recovery before doing fullwipes. Thks.

I think one its based on joker and another on eprinter, i think.
Greetings.
Th3Bill, do you do anything with initial roms?
i mean, if mediascanner problem exists in both versions, then CNA will have it too?
"e" version would not boot for me. Stuck at boot animation. Tried full wipe and flashing twice. (Might add that this is sometimes indicative of a kernel issue. Do both builds use the same kernel? I am guessing not).
"j" version flashed and booted fine first time.

I will fix this. Easy fix. I'll have it up in about an hour. I'm just setting up my new HDD on my PC.
Gallery or Music working for anyone? Never had an issue before. Nothing is showing up in gallery or in music. I cleared cache and data in app.
Fixed:
Just had to reboot it 2 times and it came back up. Guess it was just the phone.

nice rom, so far so good...hope it has theme chooser
Link to the rom does not work.
Awesome ROM. It has all the features I most desire in a ROM, BLN, Quick-Pin-Unlock, Back-to-kill, power widgets and Greek keyboard dictionary.
There is one small bug, however. When you first set up the power widgets, by default Power Widget is enabled; however it does not appear in the status bar. To make it work, I had to uncheck the Power Widget option and check it again, then it worked.
Thank you slukk! :highfive:

Yes I too faced this apart from that would like the theme chooser to be added on as am bored with the stock look . Good work mate hoping to see more options in the aroma installer for further customization of the ROM.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days, it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). However, many others have joined the project since and it has grown a lot. We have seen a wide variety of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone on to help other projects, and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base, which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. With that said, it has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

As in cm 11 themes then answer is no, there's plenty of customisations to play within the ROM, dirty tweaks are awesome

Always nice to 'ear a voice from 'ull, but I feel Z1 doesn't stand much chance ATM. I don't think anybody from the team owns the device, sorry.
Intercourse, limited to 8 fanx a day strikes again.
Ohhh... Thank god, the KING is back.
Chas, I can't leave with stock Roms while watching you . I can't resist your magic, There is something forcing me to do a full wife as soon as I see your Roms and this disease is stuck with me since the Note 1.:cyclops:
Keep going father and thank u for still being prorting and developing for us.
And plsssss people don't start asking stupid questions about the battery life, what kernel to flash and which gapps.....etc, keep it simple and clean.

OK chas thanks anyways :crying:
When and if you do bring the rom to z1 I'll be there ready to go
Nice to hear from you hope all is well
No custom Nav ring targets and secure settings doesn't seem to detect expanded desktop mode.
Both features are very important to me, if possible try to add them, thank you.
Loving the smoothness
PS: Secure settings is not a app related problem since it works on all roms except Vanir and now DU.
Tried everything FC, re-install etc also notified app dev but it seems to be ROM related.
EDIT: 2g/3g toggle doesn't seem to work.
Tried this out, not as smooth as other roms since there seems to be micro stutter when scrolling around menus and apps, but other than that it seems to be stable. Lots of customization options but no theme support. Some force closes on boot but disappear after a while, nothing major. Battery life seems to be great so that's always good.

Let the ROM settle and enable some , but not all of the init.d tweaks.
Also have a play with the animation settings. For me the ROM is very smooth

Dirty Unicorns is a custom ROM built with stability in mind and optional customization. The idea to start this ROM began out of pure boredom around 4.1.2 on the EVO 3D and later turned into a form of an addiction (a good one) to see where we could go from there. We have since expanded to more devices to include the HTC One, Nexus 5, SGS4 and many more. We quickly realize that users loved what we were doing as well as other developers because it was done the right way. We've always had fun doing it and take pride in knowing that we've done it without having to bug the end user for donations to pay for server costs and/or any of those sob stories you hear. This ROM is 100 percent free and will remain that way.
Those wanting to use our ROM as a base are more the welcomed to do so but please maintained the credits/thanks below, do not ask for donations as it wouldn't be fair to do so considering and let us know as we often like to contribute to other projects.
As stated above, we love to maintain authorship but we also like to publicly praise those that have helped us along the way with our wonderful project. With that said, this wouldn't be possible without the work and help of those listed below THANK YOU ALL!!
| OmniROM | AOKP | CM | ChaOS | Paranoid Android | Slim ROMs | Preludedrew | Team Black Out | Official Testers / Translators |
Please check our gerrit/github for full credits/thanks of individual contributorsBelieve it or not, we are human and we do forget things. If we have left someone out of the credit/thanks list, just PM us and we'll gladly add on to the list.

READ THIS
Let's make a few things clear.
I won't give ETA's because I can't give them. There will be new stuff added (even if it's visual but "under the hood") and that means that it could break something. Fixing it could be easy but it can be hard.
This also means that it could take weeks before a new version is online but it could also be online in a couple days. There's not a schedule. I try to built weekly. And even when there isn't a new version in weeks, it doesn't mean that I'm doing nothing. I'm always busy and when it's ready you'll see a new version.
I hope that I've informed you well enough. If you still have questions, feel free to ask.
Thanks for your patience.

FAQ
I cannot flash 4.4, I get an error on recovery about Status 7
You need to install CWM latest recovery. Philz or any other wont work. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2200501
ART does not work, I get FC everywhere
Art is in development, latest PA GAPPS will work, Titanium Backup, Skype, SuperSU wont. Latest Whatspp version doesnt work but this one does https://www.cubby.com/pl/WhatsApp-2-...f482a17a4a9e19
If you want stabilty switch to dalvik.
Somepeople have reported to have root working on ART by flashing 1.65 SuperSU update and setting it to always grant root. Try it at your own risk
How can I enable ART?
Developer settings
Im having problems with my keyboard
Try clearing the keyboard data or switch to another keyboard
My extFAT sdcard does not work
Install an other kernel
I get FC on gapps when flashing a new version
Reflash gapps everytime you flash a new version, its the safest way atm
I dont like the ribbons, its redundant
Wait
The battery icon ribbon is out of place. Plz fix it
Its WIP
Calendar does not sync
Use the Calendar from the Play Store
How can I restore SMS?
by @Goretto
About restoring SMS, follow these steps:
- Go back to your previous rom (you did a nandroid backup, right?)
- Backup your SMS with SMS Backup and Restore
- Flash CM11 (V1 or V2 + fix, up to you)
- Restore your SMS with SMS Backup and Restore but first make sure that SMS Backup and Restore is set as the default SMS App under settings. Once restored, you can set whichever SMS app you want as default (Messages, Hangouts or third party)
Google Now does not work
Your country may not be supported by Google Now, try to use a VPN
Saying "Ok google" Does not work
Change google now lenguage to "English(US)"
Difference between normal gapps and PA Gapps?
PA Gapps are compatible with ART, it also has more apps (look at file size)

The rom could not possibly have been more perfect, apart from a little graphical glitch in the battery tile in quick settings where battery percentage becomes invisible due to it being too far down on the tile, speed is wonderful, and now i will test battery life and whatever i have seen so far i am already liking it. Great work and thanx

Hello jicv, you're right. It currently is not in the ROM. Will try to cherry pick it and put it in the next release. In the mean time you can download xposed framework and get GravityBox. You can enable it there :victory:
The FTP server has been offline since this morning. The reason for this: switching domains. I'm currently setting up my new domain and uploading the files. Please be patient. In the mean time: use the XDA download section.
New domain is up and running!

Finally... had to wipe my phone because install as second ROM with Devil recovery did not work, but I don't mind about that (all apps are saved with Titanium).
The ROM works like a charm, no issues yet. Thanks for the build!

OrionOS is a project based on slim. The name Orion was chosen as a representation of the beauty and vastness of the world around us (Too much Philosophy, eh? ). We started this project for Falcon (Moto G), to make a stable Rom, which would include Bitsyko layers and important customization. The Rom is built with Uber toolchain which delivers awesome smoothness and includes a custom kernel built from ground-up to ensure good performance [WIP]. Needless to say, this project is a product of our hobbies and the love we bore for Android.

Is ir blaster working fine please let me know
Does it have an app for FM radio?
Everything smooth so far. FP working perfectly, FM Radio working too. My wifi speeds are slow....but will test it a few more days and see. Getting constant 1MB+ download speed on laptop. On phone when downloading from playstore apps speed doesn't go above 300 kbps. It will go jump a lot. Flip cover doesn't work. Will play some games and see how it goes.
Kept a eye on the downloads from playstore which were updates....wifi speed is most of the time below 100 kbps.
Guys you need to test for me as i don't own the device as far as i have reports all basic stuff including fingerprint sensor works fine

Relocked bootloader after install this Rom?
Gesendet von meinem Redmi Note 3 mit Tapatalk
Buggy. Not good, it can't even connect with data automatically, even I set it to 4G only and WCDMA, it will connect for a second only, and then disconnects. I reverted back to official RR.
*not much customization in the ROM. Can't even set the LED notifs
*icons are too big, even when it already on 440 ppi only (default)
*viper forced closes.
*battery goes down by -2% also
Overall
*Pretty much the same custom ROMs we use. The ROM is fast tho, smooth and all, but still needs some work to do.
Thanks for sharing guys. We still hope for the best. Kudos
