Got an Xperia T - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

I got a T last night, so have been trying things out.
So far, it's fast. I'll post benchmark results.
It feels nice and solid, screen response is much better than the S. The keyboard has been tweaked and is better than ever.
Not tried the camera yet.
NOVA 3 doesn't play right, it flickers constantly. Other games seem fine.

Keyboard was updated? What you thing it's new compared to the XS one?
"I got my values. So you can keep yours, OK?"

That wifi idea is great.
Hopefully now that these phones are released they might start repairing the S software

not that much of an improvement over the S.. mine goes up to 3500 tweaked to the max.. @1,5ghz .. so theres only a 900 points difference, no way i will leave my s for this slight improvement..

The predictions are better, like it suggested @ after typing the first part of my email etc.
Speed wise it's more than just benchmarks, it feels much smoother than the S. The touch response is vastly more accurate.

comparable to the smoothness of the S3?

The location bases WiFi apk can be installed normally on the XS as well, I'm using it currently. Got it from the GX system dump, works fine.

For everyone who is planning to get this phone I have some exciting news
I've sent him a pm about testing my custom rom for Xperia T and also a custom kernel with VDD control, snapdragon optimizations if necessary and 1.7GHz since this should be stable according to Qualcomm

Guys common post more benchmarks like Antutu, BrowserMark,Sunspdier. And run Quadrant closing all other apps about 10 mins after you fresh boot.

I expect more than that! In the news, they said that Quadrant score is 5500+! And XV to be 6000+!

Motoblur isn't really bad. If your talking about the nasty stuff on the cliq and stuff, its changed. All the widgets can be uninstalled and if the Blur look isnt for you install LPP or whatever you prefer. Phones fast, and with another launcher Motoblur inst even there. Really, all it is is just the launcher. Compared to sense which goes in DEEP into the system and everything as well as TouchWiz. Motoblur just, doesn't.
It feels like my stock Nexus S (without gingerbread ).

Yup. Motorola has excellent build qualities, and with the amount of tinkering we do with the software in XDA, I don't give a crap what bloatware the push into the phone. It'll be gone once I'm sure I don't have to return the phone for warranty claims

Nexus S Quadrant Scores 6000+

The Nexus S managed to break the 6000+ barrier today. Its running the Trinity 1.544ghz kernel with the latest CM7 kang and it has the /system/lib/egl/libGLES_android.so removed. personally, i use the TEUV 880mhz trinity kernel as a daily. its underclocked and undervolted, but has a high bus and overclocked gpu. its fast(like a normal 1.2ghz kernel) and great on battery life. you can find it in the op of the trinity thread in developement.

I have used flip board for a few days on a gs2 and I would say flipboard is meant to be a more graphical way to read. I think flipboard would say it is not about having infinite articles to read it is about having high quality content articles that are a pleasure to read. More like a newspaper.
I would compare it more to google currents and feedly. I like currents the best i think. It probably has the best combination of # of sources, interface, ease of navigation, and the ability to pull in an rss feed means I can add my local newspaper.
side note samsung should convince ap news to make a flipboard tile instead of having an entire app.
just a small piece of advice
i was playing with the app and while i was in the settings i found out that you could change the font size to small. (normal is the default size). by doing this, every thing will look much much better. though still not perfect, but it looks more decent and makes it much more useable

Regarding point 3, I don't get it. When "Show all cores" isn't checked, only one graph is displayed.
Great app!! I wouldn't mind a small "stress test" for X seconds option to see the CPU graphs working (good debugging tool to see if the cores are working fine under stress).

Yup.. It might be related to how your ROM/Kernel manages the offline/online cpu cores. I'll have to change my code to prevent such things. Thanks for your help!

Just released an update that fixes your problem (I think so)

New firmware now offers to register one handed thumb print.

I just deleted my prints to set them up again, and noticed that you are now offered to set up a one handed thumb print.
After setting up my prints again my thumb is registering much more accurately and I can swipe faster than before too.

Did you root your phone after the update?
Which firmware are you on? Any other improvements?

The one that was released the other day. I noticed the camera auto focuses a lot quicker and everything else seems a bit snappier. Battery life is about the same though.

Sorry to hear that. I suppose it will work better for some people more than others. Did you deregister your old prints then re-register?

In what aspect did the phone feel snappier? Like, did it respond to touch more responsively or something? :S

Just the general usage of the phone seems faster, but that could just be psychological because of the new update
The main advantage for me was the fingerprint scanner as I was having a lot of problems with it before.

I am eager to try out the improved fingerprint sensor, but my phone doesn't recognize my print for some reason and i forgot the alternate password lol.

Oops. Maybe a factory restore will sort out the problem if you don't mind going through all the hassle of setting up your phone again. I had to do it once to sort out a wifi bug.

Yeah I did that, I don't think the firmware installation actually worked, I still have a white music player
