Apple Ipad Folio Covers - Off-topic

Hey everyone,
Good afternoon.
Do you guys know of any really good folio covers for the Ipad 2nd/3rd gen?
Just wanted to see if you guys have something better before I choose the one
I'm the type to shop around before officially picking something.
Thank you beforehand, I hope you enjoy my picks as well.
Best regards,

Case and other Accessories for Tilt

Great forum! 1st Post!
I've been google grinding trying to find the most kick ass, spectacular, fantabulous case for my GF's Tilt and have come across mostly just plain jane ones. Also found some other cool acc. like the dual charger station.
In terms of cases and other accessories, I would like your opinions on what you think is: Most useful, Most attractive and shiney and eye-catching, Most durable and Most lame (so I know what to avoid). Links are most appreciated or a nudge towards the proper tube.
Thanks in advance all you awesome Kaiser users.
Why don't you try looking in the Kaiser Accessories forum?
I basically ordered one case of each model from the pdair range.
Fast shipping, low prices, my preferred is the black aluminium one.
Your gf may prefer a noreve.com case...

Does anyone know European vendors for this case?

Hi there,
I've been looking for a new case for my x7500 and found this American item on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250314288001
However, the vendor doesn't answer my questions regarding payment, so I wonder if anyone in the EU is also selling this case.
Ps: I don't like nutshells, Pielframa, Pdair etc. since none of them has this subdisplay window.
Thanks for any hint

I believe its the same case but you could check with totalkill in case im mistaken
Thanks for the reply, I thought as much that this case wouldn't win first prize but it's the only one which has a subdisplay window. I can't understand why HTC cases don't have this feature...
The OEM cases for the 7510 does have a sub display, and is the exact same size as the ones with the display. You can find them at expansys for about 40 bux. I think that and the tuff as a nut is an ideal way to go. Now that I`ve ordered a new housing i plan on trying a rhino skin when the new housing comes. I do suggest you use thgat ebay case only if u still plan to put the phone in a tuff as a nut pouch or you will definately be sorry, like I was after the 2nd week of purchase.
Ach, what fool I am! I've just bought a Pdair...oh well, it should do.
hey will, how is the pdair as I want a new case to protect mine.

Anyone interested in case reviews?

Hey,
I usually post in the Nexus S forum, where I review cases (done quite a few now) - I picked up a tab last week and was just wondering if anyone would be interested in me posting reviews here as well. I usually allow people to suggest cases as well!
Just seeing if enough people are interested since tab isn't that new.
Thanks!

Yes I am, because I'm looking for a new case for my Tab
Ef-c980nbecstd
I have this case except for one thing, mine has a flap to cover the front as well.
http://www.google.com/products/cata...=X&ei=zjrKTZa5J8rZ0QGq3ZznBw&ved=0CE0Q8wIwCA#
model number is different, mine in EF-C980NBECSTD, which, when I google it, gives back no results. ..... now it does! http://www.spotit.com.au/buy/80133_GALAXY_TAB___KEYBOARD_DOCK_EF_C980NBECSTD.aspx
mine is also made is korea, better than china, my opinion.
Yes, I've been on the look out for a case with a keyboard as well.
Could you review this one please?
Most of the customer reviews are giving it a one star which is very harsh I don't like the other similar one as much, it relies on a magnetic flap to prop it up. Doesn't look as good

To be fair, it only got one review.
I'm trying to find some for the Zenu case, They are pretty expensive and the only Youtube review is in Spanish. You can find them on Ebay and Amazon, there is several options on color and material too.

Incipio are making cases

Hi Folks,
I emailed Incipio last week to see if they intended making covers for the N7 like they do for the Ipad and they emailed me back last night to say they are releasing a range of products but no details are available yet, but to keep an eye on their website and there should be info there soon. Would really like a Incipio feather case for my 7 along with a smart cover..
Hopefully in the next few weeks we'll have more info
Cheers,
Mick

Hope they make the legend case! Its the best case I've seen so far
These cases are amazing. I've Put some cash aside for when these are released. Even the international shipping seems reasonable. I'm surprised there isn't more mention of these on the forum rather than all the cheap plether bulky rubbish everyone seems to like! No accounting for taste!
Any updates on this?
I got this response from them yesterday. I did ask about which specific cases might be available but no details yet.

Thank you for your follow up email. We do have plans to be making cases for the Nexus 7, however they’re currently in development so we do not currently have an estimated release date for the cases. I apologize for any inconveniences, however if you have any other questions, feel free to let us know.

Why are all these companies wasting time making friggin sleeves? First that ballistic one and now this. Make a good hard "otterbox" style case please!
Cannot wait!!! I love their cases!!

Exactly. Google is selling tons of these things and it's been over a month now. I want to give my money to anyone that comes out with a "tank" case but no one is stepping up to the plate.

Maybe it's because lots of friggin people want to friggin buy them?
...or maybe it's because one size fits all and so it's easier to get one to market early.
No company can set up, tool up and manufacture quality products at the drop of a hat never mind them wanting to make sure there's going to be a sustainable market for it.
I realise that moaning is one of the US national pastimes but these forums are international and believe me it gets very old very quickly having to trawl past all these whinging posts to try and find the good stuff.
/nuff said.
sweet looking forward to getting one

Oh please. I'm not one of the complainers on this board and my post was not whining. These tablets have been selling like hot cakes and it's been out for long enough where someone should be making a hard case by now.

i agree with this. i also believe google announced the tablet and released it 2-3 weeks later and didn't work with anyone on accessories. perhaps it was to generate sales of their case, but the consumer got screwed. i'm not a fan of the asus case. from day one i wanted a leather case and over a month later, i'm still limited in my choices becasue companies are still working on their cases. i emailed marware last week and they still said 4-6 weeks.
OMG can this come any sooner?? :crying:
$30 for a sleeve? Are you guys seriously melting over this?
Talk about low standards.
Incipio makes decent cases, but they're always way overpriced. I got the N7 because of its value, and this is going to carry over with my accessories for it. If I wanted to overspend, I would have gotten an iPad.

Accessories and Films

Hi Guys,
I haven't been post active but have been reading through all the threads concerning rooting and roms, to better tailor my phones to my needs. I stumbled upon the Screen Protectors and Films. I am a managing partner at Decal Spec and we constantly use different films and such for our customers and products. And I am in no way trying to promote for business, as it was not my intention when I joined the community.
But who and what would be the proper method of doing 'test' runs with some films we'll be running in the future. We would probably benefit from the feedback from the range of users from XDA.
Looking forward to feedback and questions.
Thanks Guys
You can give out a few for reviews to members and request feedback on your products as testing and wouldnt see an issue with that.

This would be your best option. Vectron here on the note 2 forums does awesome in depth reviews so he would be a good candidate for testing for you. He's very detail oriented when he reviews products.
Edit: here is a link to all of vectrons reviews so you can see what I mean when I say detail oriented: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192333

Sounds good, and wow to Vectron's reviews. Right now we are testing this new film and have a template for the NOTE II screen.

Will do, I'll keep requests on this post. Would like to do more, if anyone has design and template experience that'd help as well. And open to ideas. I'll post shots of my current phone's setup after 4 months of use.
Currently strictly using a film for the screen and backer, we supply some cell phone shops locally and work with some in the east coast. As an alternative to Zagg and Ghost Armor.
From my experience, films for the backs and rest of the device are more gimmick than protection. Just my two cents with experimenting on a One X and Infuse.

I agree with on the films for the back. That's why I accept that the films I put on their is because I like the way it looks lol. Although since we used 3M Lamination over 3M Automotive wraps, it's kind of held up and maintains its looks. Keeping in mind like most motorcycle gear, it can prevent road rash and help soften some of the landing, but any major impact or drops will definitely hurt the rider.
I think we are planning to send out some tests for the films, anyone paying attention who'd like to participate ? I think 5 should be okay, we are working on a couple contracts and I've decided why not give a shot, receiving feedback is important to us when we decide to go into a market. So we look forward to the feedback.

Well now that I think about it, can we just start with Note 2 owners first ? haha I'll post pictures of the backer I've used so far.
I'll try it. I have an Xremeguard back peotector on now. But I still use body glove tpu case. I just hate to get my white phone dirtied and scratched up. I tend to sell my phones after upgrade
My phone of course is Note 2 from att!

what's that job pay? I might send you my resume..:cyclops:
Lost my phone and someone found it but turned it off
Lost my Galaxy Note II with all my prototype film installed and now someone picked it up but no one's contacting me.
Was riding my motorcycle near my neighborhood for a meeting, dropped my phone and noticed it right away so I started tracing my way... checked google latitude and found out it was somewhere near my house. Went within the proximity, met who I think had it and asked around knocked and rang a few bells (11:30PM sunday night) and no one and nothing.
Verizon hasn't been much help, just told me file a police report and hope they contact verizon to request for them to track it. If anyone has any advice or even maybe familiar with the process verizon has to track a phone let me know. Since it's my work/company phone it's got a lot more value in it than the phone itself, along with my prototype skins, wraps and film. And last weeks pictures for our work of projects.
Lost in the La Mirada, CA area and was last tracked within my neighorhood. Phone is a White/Marble Verizon NOTE 2 with a Custom Carbon Fiber Backer and Custom Edge to Edge Protective film over the screen.
if anyone hears or has any input, I kindly appreciate it and thank you in advance.
Reward Available.
