Logitech Bluetooth Aluminum Keyboard & Stand for Bluetooth Enabled Devices - Nexus 7 Accessories

just saw this on onesaleaday.com
Logitech Bluetooth keyboard designed for Galaxy Tab 10.1 but will work with any HID device. Not sure how the N7 would sit but its 10 bucks plus 4.99 shipping. Thinking about rolling the dice on this one

"The smaller tablet is not as good at content creation as its larger siblings, but for those curious about external keyboards I found one that works with the Nexus 7. The Logitech Keyboard Case for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 pairs and works with the Nexus 7, even the special tablet control keys. The Nexus 7 doesn't fit in the stand, though, so it's an iffy pair at best."
I just actually received this keyboard today. It's very high quality, sturdy and typed very quickly when I paired it with my HTV Evo 4G LTE. Unfortunately, my nexus is RMA-ing right now so I'm not able to try it with that. I stuck my old kindle keyboard (about the same size as the nexus 7) in the built-in stand just to see how it fits and it stood fine, however I'm concerned that the nexus 7 might be too thick.
However, if you use this and a decent folio case from amazon, it is BY FAR the cheapest and probably best option I've seen.

WTF are you talking about? What does this have to do with the original post? How do you know the nexus doesn't fit if you don't even have yours?

I ordered one too, but I looked online at reviews for that website and they were not the best. I have my fingers crossed.

What a great buy... I would totally go for this if I hadn't already ordered another for double that price and probably not bear the quality

only 15 bucks, i ordered a couple. i have Nexus 7, wife has an HTC Flyer.
even if the stand doesn't work, it looks like a good emergency keyboard for the times when we have to do work but don't have a laptop handy.

Ordered. If it doesn't work for me I guess my girlfriend can use it for her fruit branded tablet.

The link is accurate. Scroll to the bottom of the review. He talks about this specific keyboard's (which is actually a case/keyboard designed for the Galaxy Tab 10.1) built-in stand not fitting the Nexus 7. I'm confused as to where you are confused.

Nice find!

Ordered me one, at that price why not its Logitech and most of their stuff is good.

I have about 38 minutes left to pull the trigger. Im not sure what to do. If it doesnt work then im stuck with another piece of tech laying around and the lady will not be happy. On the other hand, I could probably just resell it and make the 15 bucks back and then some.

The onesaleaday.com item is a keyboard stand but it doubles as a "case" where you can "lock" your galaxy tab 10.1 onto the recessed keyboard. The Nexus 7 will not fit that way obviously but Im thinking it will fit in the 'stand' part of it.
EDIT: Galaxy Tab 10.1 Thickness is .33" - Nexus 7 Thickness is .41". Probably will not fit. A couple of mm makes a big difference
If nothing else, its still a cheap bluetooth keyboard solution

I just got mine today in the mail and I'm using it right now to type this and its pretty good, feels well built and connected with no problem. The Nexus doe not fit in the stand to hold it up, its too thick, but I knew that before I bought it, for the price it seems to be worth it 15$ shipped and it has shortcuts to different programs like email and Google Now and can control the volume. I'm happy with it!

i've got one of these. works fairly well, but can take a bit of getting used to.
I really like using my Microsoft Arc keyboard. It's pretty much full size, but I can't type anywhere near as fast on anything smaller. It's slick, light and has a carry pouch. Tiny dongle into USB OTG cable.
I also have a mini bluetooth keyboard that is about the size of my phone. It's ok, but not any great advantage over the on screen keyboard.
Out of all the bluetooth keyboards that I have seen, Logitech one is by far the best.

I'm using my old Galaxy Tab keyboard/case. Had to shim the bottom to get it centered in the case, but it works reasonably well.

I still have the hp touchpad keyboard, it's pretty good to type on and light weight too, just not sure how to carry both together.

I've got one too. Great to haul around for note taking. It fits well in a bag since it's ~1/4" thick up until the battery compartment. Just wedge your N7 under the thin part and let the back of the keyboard sit off to the side.

Just got another comment from the Amazon thread, and apparently it doesn't fit the Nexus 7 very well:
R. Brent says:
I also bought this keyboard to use with the Nexus 7. I'm a bit impressed with how usable it is, as long as I remember not to try and type quickly.
The Nexus 7 is not a good fit. The adjustable clip doesn't quite get tight enough, and the Nexus 7 will slide out from the sides. However, it does work to hold it upright.
For less than $10, I still think it was worth the price though.

I purchased 3 different ones just like that. they all work with NeXus 7 no issues. The top arm moves up and down and fits the NeXus 7 just fine. I even have it with the NeXus7 case on it. then it becomes a tight fit.
But it does work, and for 10-15 bucks depending on which one you purchase.

Naw, not quite:
If you turn the case sidewise, the Nexus slides out. Keeping the Nexus inside its case makes it a good fit though.

Phone + tablet case?

Anyone know of a case that'll fit a Nexus 7 AND a large (ie: HTC One X) phone?
I often carry both with the Nexus tethered to the phone and would like something that could contain both.
This should hold all your gear:
I don't think I've ever seen a combined case, I don't know that that would necessarily be practical. Unless I'm at home, my phone usually lives in my pocket.

I, personally, don't want the phone in my pocket when I tether and I certainly don't want it sitting in plain (grabbable) sight when I'm sitting down using the N7 in poublic places.

I completely agree with you. I have been wanting a tablet/phone combo case since back in my nook color + EVO 4G days. I have a Galaxy note now. Not really practical to have it in my front pocket while sitting down. Plus the fact that if my signal is being sketchy due to my location, being in a pocket is just going to make it worse.

Best Nexus 7 Keyboard

I'm looking to get a keyboard for my Nexus 7 to use in my classes. The Logitech Android Keyboard is at the top of my list, but it's slightly more expensive and heavier than others out there. Also, the Motorola Android Keyboard is on sale for $22 today, but doesn't come with a case and may or may not work with the Nexus 7/Jelly Bean. Anyone have any good suggestions or experiences with a keyboard?
I just use an extra mac wireless keyboard that I have... Not the most elegant solution but I like the key board
Nexus 7 | Paranoid Android | Franco Kernel
HTC Sensation | Bruce's CMX | Bruce's Kernel.
I ordered this Tuesday. It will be here tomorrow
I heard Motorola was having a huge sale on line of their keyboards it was originally like $100 but they dropped it down to $23. Don't have a link but I remember seeing it a couple of days ago.

I have the motorola and it works really good. Its got some android hotkeys that the other bluetooth keyboards dont have. However the following don't work on JellyBean (or the nexus 7 in particular):
- the messenger hotkey (obviously)
- the browser hotkey
- the menu hotkey (this kinda irritates me. Maybe it depends on the app)
I have the Logitech Android keyboard and it's great! You can get it on Ebay for around $30

I recommend the Logitech one, well worth the investment
I recently bought Microsoft Wedge Mobile Bluetooth keyboard which is extremely expensive in my country where import taxes are like nightmares.

Its too big and then you must carry two discrete pieces. That's a nonstarter for many. I require an integrated keyboard / case solution.
FWIW, I purchased one such product at Amazon today: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009S...175-7600503-0167501?ref_=cm_cr_pr_product_top
It seems to be a bit thinner than the also cool kybd / case folios like benchmark9 shared. Doesn't have a tab key but I can emulate it with External Keyboard Helper Pro.
Hoping for some better products like these from Zagg, Logitech, or even Google. MS Surface has some great keyboard cases eh...
Im still thinking about getting a N7, and if i do, i will want a keyboard. I really like what ive seen about the Logitech one, but im wondering if theres any fixes to make all the shortcut keys to work or if Logitech will ever update it....

I'm a huge fan of the Poetic Keybook.
I know that a lot has been written to the contrary, but I'm a huge fan. It took a little getting used to, but once I got it down, the keyboard is excellent. I cant do the separate keyboard simply for the fact that I would need to carry it in a bag or something.
The poetic keybook solved this issue, as it is an all in one case/keyboard with removable keyboard if need be.

Nexus 7 Keyboard
It is very good looking and cool. This is Aluminum Case and Wireless
Bluetooth Keyboard for Google
Nexus 7 .It will protect the front screen and the typing also so easy. Hope my recommendation helps.
I bet its made of plastic. Same keyboard at brando.com for 30$ and they coreected aluminium by plastic. Ebay is offering from 22$ shipped from HK.
I have looked at the keyboards (from the posted links) and some on amazon. i really like the ones where the keyboard and nexus 7 fit into one nice/small case:
http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Bluetooth-Keyboard-Google-Tablet/dp/B00A23LEPA/ref=cm_cr_dp_asin_lnk
but the keyboard seem SOOO small. what do you guys think? What you go with something like above or one of the large leather cases with a bigger keyboard?
thank you in advance for any input you can provide.
Thats the price tag ... small case houses small keyboard. And I have to correct me, even on Amazon below 20 bucks ...

Keyboard Blutooth case?

Is there such a thing, for my Nexus S of course. I saw a post but it was really really fat and ugly. I love physical keyboards, one that looks natural and isn't too bulky.
Few months back, Teambuy was selling this for $10 with purchase of a cheap 7" Android tablet, After some searching, found the same USB keyboard selling for C$10 then. Not sure if it will work with Nexus S though. http://www.chinavasion.com/china/wh.../Cool_Gadgets/USB_Keyboard_Case_for_Tablet_PC
However, just found this Bluetooth keyboard case that was designed to fit Nexus 7, I believe it should work with Nexus S. http://www.chinavasion.com/china/wh...s/Bluetooth_Keyboard_Case_for_Google_Nexus_7/
I've bought and received a Bluetooth voice recorder from them a few weeks back, at a fraction of the cost offered by US retailers. Can confirm that this site is not a scam.

Keyboard/Case Recommendations for Nexus 10

I'm looking for recommendations from other users for their top 2 or 3 best keyboard/case combinations for the Nexus 10. I just returned a Minisuit combo to Amazon because the keyboard simply didn't turn out to be as described in the product information. I hate to say it but the design of the Surface tablet's keyboard is slick, it provides a front cover and a keyboard all while connecting via its magnetic pogo. I have high hopes someone designs one for the Nexus. Why are we so far behind the ball on this?

Now that I've tested two cheap combos that turned out to be the same units but branded differently, I'm going the separate route. Actually Kensington & another manufacturer (can't remember the name at the moment) make what I think are very good keyboards akin to the Surface.

They also have a couple other cases but the reviews on that aren't as good. The Poetic case isn't the greatest case but it does serve its purpose well.

+1 to this, but I bought the $35 "Poetic Keybook Removable Keyboard" on amazon for the time being.
It has some stupid strap and arbitrary sized keys imo. Also the bluetooth has lag sometimes. I really want them to go the route of the microsoft surface keyboard design. Mainly because of less lag when typing vigorously.
