What is this ?
This tool started as a "Creator/Renderer" for battery-icon-png's. And this is still the most striking feature in this tool!
(If you want to see how this started...there is a link to Version 1.0 somewhere down below )
The Rom Fumbler startet over at the Galaxy S2 Theming Forum and at first was only for Resurrection Remix Rom (S2)!
...but in the last few month it grew so much! Support for all kind of devices and Roms was added! So I decided to move the thread to the General Android Theming Forum!
This tool renders those images with the Java 2DGraphics-Classes and algorithms, that are highly customizable! You can create almost unlimited variations of "battery icon sets"!
It can also render "Wifi- and Signal Icon Sets" in the same way as battery icon sets.

But this tool can do a big bunch of other things!
Most usefull : It can create "flashable-zip's" of the above icons!
And there are still more things it can do!!! ...so here is the "complete" feature list:

Files added to the flashable-zip with these features are not resized, renamed, checked...
So use with caution...you need to know what you are doing! You need to know how your Rom and apk's look from the inside...
Add any "icon-set" to SystemUI.apk (use with caution!!! no checks, no resizing, ...)

Installation & How to use this tool (short version)
This tool is written in pure Java. So the only thing you need to have is a Java Runtime 1.6 or 1.7.
Download the BatteryIconCreator...zip (Links above)
Unzip the tool to any directory
Step into that directory
Look around...see the ./custom/... folder? This is where you can put your own custom stuff !!!!
Doubleclick in the Jar-file
... or better use the start.bat to start this tool!
Choose your ROM-Preset in tab "Rom-Settings" (Default values are for hdpi ROM's like Rootbox)
Choose a Battery Design
Play with all those different settings to customize your battery icons
Choose a Wifi Design
Choose a Signal Design
Choose any other stuff you want to add
Play with all those different settings...
Create/Refresh your images (Play-Button)
If you just want the icons and no flashable-zip, then goto
... the folder "./pngs/..." in the above directory and find your Icons in there...

Ok first thing: the png's in your SystemUI.apk are named different than my defaultnames (suitable for AOKP/CM9-10)
You need to change the names in the input-Dialog to :
stat_sys_battery_ --> remove "circle_"
stat_sys_battery_charge_anim --> remove "circle_"
If this still leads to an error try the following:
There still is the xhdpi folder in the flashable zip...I don't know if its a problem, but after creating the Zip open it with 7zip and remove the drawable-xhdpi from MORPH\system\app\SystemUI.apk\res\
If this does'nt help either, it might be a recovery-problem (What kernel/recovery-version do you use ?)

And interesting list which I will look forward too seeing :thumbup:
So basically right now as good as the mod is i won't be able to use it on. Ics RR2.7 purely due to the size as it sticks it too much from the rest of icons in status bar.
I just noticed now even on RR jb the mod is slightly taller then the rest of the icons so will check out ur new 3.0 version if that helps.
Keep up the great development and making it more possible for noobs to modding to get off thier ass and make thier own mods.

We have completely changed the concept of the Rom, now you flash firstly a pure stock with mods,
and after you choose in the Criskelo Team Kitchen what you want into your rom!
The installation will be easy for everyone, whether you come from a stock rom or other rom, you will start with a basic stock! we will see all this in detail
Install your rom firstly,install after "criskelo Team Kitchen" and choose:
Now choose your favourite theme:
No need to make wipes : they are included in Install script !
This rom will be installed by recovery mode, your device need Clock work mode recovery before installing.
Firstly, always make an android backup before flashing any rom :
Reboot into recovery, select option "backup and restore" and choose "backup", the backup will be in your sd card / clock work mode folder.
How to install this V6 and kitchen ?
You can flash it from a stock Samsung rom, from a custom rom, how to do ?
THIS ROM IS NO WIPE : YOU WILL NOT LOOSE YOUR DATA OR APPLICATIONS
If you come from another custom rom, it is better to make full wipe before installing this rom !
Just put the ROM on your INTERN sd card :
reboot recovery :
- Install zip from SD card
- choose zip from intern sd card
- rom is installing, when complete, just go back and choose : reboot system now
- Do the same for the kitchen, flash it by recovery after installing the rom.
***Important note, if you come from an AOKP or an AOSP you will have to make a full wipe (factory reset) to install it correctly.
CAUTION CAUTION !!!!
I want you to know that we have removed the fix that was provided recently by Mike1986 for those who had unlocked with Voodoo unlock apk (too much issues with this fix).
We therefore advise you not to flash this version if you are one of those people who used voodoo unlock.
No worries for those who have a locked phone with their usual operator, no worries either for those who have an unlocked phone, no worries for those who have also unlocked phone with a paid version or official.

You appreciate our work and want to offer us a cup of coffee for the Rom and to better keep us awake
As you know, you can customize the ROM at will, add themes, mods, batteries, kernels and so on.
You will find all options offered by our Kitchen detailed below, in order to easily make your selections or to test new mods.
In addition we will avoid a lot of questions that come up very often, as "for what is this mod?" "What is the most suitable kernel?", etc.
1 - What is a Kitchen ?
There are no silly questions! Yes what is a kitchen? Again we talk in our language, a Kitchen is a kind of "plus" added to a rom.
Numerous ROMs do not offer this option, which means that you do not have the opportunity to choose a different kernel, or a different modem, or different themes, if wished you need to separately flash dozens of zip.
Thus this is a huge advantage for a ROM to have its own kitchen, a bit like if you were going shopping, you can choose whatever you want to include in your rom.
Firstly You will load the ROM and the Kitchen on your sd card, (do not unzip the files).
Once you have installed your rom, (flash the appropriate zip file), restart your phone then in a second time flash the Kitchen.
It will allow you to customize the ROM to your own taste, by adding dozens of very different and varied options.
You can come back whenever you want, (flash the Kitchen again and again), try other options, try other mods, back up your previous choices, in short, a valuable tool.
2 - I just flashed my kitchen, how to determine my choices ?
Once the kitchen being flashed, a home screen will be displayed, press "Next" then press the "CriskeloROM SIII Kitchen" icon.
First choose which theme you prefer to adopt:
- el liberator Wall Blue Theme (see pictures in post 1)
- Syps Theme (see pictures in post 1)
- Or the Stock Theme (corresponding to an official ROM without any visual customization)
On next step you will choose the options and addons that are offered for each theme, however I advise you to try both in order to get an idea.
Now select the contacts and the dial pad:
- For el liberator Wall Blue Theme:
- For Syps Theme:
- black
- or semi-transparent
Now choose your battery mods!

Now choose your toggles:
The "Toggles" are the shortcuts available in the scrolldown menu, wifi, bluetooth etc., you can choose those that suit you best:

SOUND
You want sound at phone startup and when using the camera? If you select "yes" it will be activated, if you select no, these sounds will be disabled.
VOLUME LOUD
This is a Mod that will significantly amplify your volume (boost your sound). Select yes or no, (Watch out for sensitive ears with headphones)
CRT ON OFF
CRT is the cathode-ray tube effect, (like for cut-off on old televisions) you will see a small line when your screen turns to sleep mode. Select yes or no.
SKIP TRACK
This mod allows you while listening music, (although the screen is off), to scroll through the songs with the + / - volume button. Select yes or no.
CAMERA MOD
This is a modified camera, for example:
Take photo by pressing AND holding POWER-KEY until you feel the vibration, then release button. Unfortunately the Power-menu apears but photo is saved.
BURST shot mode (continious 20 pics AND Best photo) by only pressing “Menu” button (capacitive button) once
Start Video-recording with Vol.UP (or virtual key) and Pause Video recording with Vol. Down AND RESUME video with vol. UP again. Finally STOP recording by pressing the virtual key.

Add-on applications!
Select the applications you want to add to the ROM, as for exampe a different launcher like Nova or Apex, or add Flipboard, or Svoice etc. Select the desired applications.
But how to choose a Kernel!

We are talking about using the Android stock kernel. With Android many tools allow to modify certain parameters of the kernel and to use it for functions other than those for which it was created, (eg a kernel dedicated to battery life would become a kernel for best performance).
The kitchen offers 3 types of Kernels:
Stock:
The stock kernel offers an excellent stability and honorable performances. Battery life will not be better than satisfactory.
Tweakable ones
Siyah:
The modifiable kernel by excellence, everything is customizable: Sound, Display, Overclock, Undervolt, CPU, GPU etc. via Stweaks (integrated in the kernel)

Choose a modem?
We advise you to flash the modem that corresponds to the ROM, we are in LG8 base, so prefer the LG8 modem by default. It is always recommended to use the modem matching the rom!
However, you find that to get the network is not sufficiently satisfactory? In such a case, test your usual area modem or another one and you will see over time which one suits you best! You can try them all.
3 -Backup your choices
It's almost finished, a window will now ask you if you want to save your choice for next time, say yes, your choices will be saved on your SD card, and when you will return to the kitchen, (do not forget that you can return as many times as you like and test what you want), you will only need to change the new options you want to try.
Now press Install now, Next, Finish. Hey presto, the flash of all the options that you selected starts alone, the telephone restarts, your very own kitchen is operational.
When you want to change options, use recovery executer, (in Settings / rom mods), you will see how to use it on this post
select "flash file", select the kitchen and presto, you're there!

Hello everyone on xda. It's my first rom posted in this house, although not the first cooked.
I've been working with Miui for over two years, both GB and ICS and now in JB, while always publishing on spanish forums.
I bring something I've been thinking a long time, but due to lack of time i had not decided to posted it before.
The I9000 was where I learned to cook and at that time there was no official MIUI support, so I have learned to cook by ports of the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus.
I’ve decided to port the MIUI Note 2 to our I9300, and I have realized this one is much more complete rom that the one we have now (official Miui S3). Camera, keyboard Note 2, Multiwindow...., apart from that, my testers and me, all of us, we have seen that it has much better performance and battery life.
As we have official MIUI, I have not had to take Cyanogen base, as typically most of the ports.
This is totally based on Samsung, for what everything works exactly like the official MIUI i9300, but with the improvements already mentioned.

-Without leaving recovery (this is very important), install any kernel (other than Devil kernel) (such as googy 1.5.4). Always flash kernel cleaner before installing the kernel. Kernel cleaner http://db.tt/ko6Mv47f and Googy kernel 1.5.4 https://www.box.com/s/udv7ksxyec5zcgenxlox
-Reboot and load the rom. Connect wifi. DONE!!!
-Once configured Wifi, you can install the kernel you will, including Devil.
The problem was caused by Devil kernel settings wifi connection.
If you install the rom and configure wifi, getting error, and then, install another kernel, you do not fix the problem, hence, we will put this installation procedure.
HOW TO INSTALL:
1.- If you come from a previous version of this rom (Miui Note2 Version):
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik cache
Install update fullrom
2.- If you coming from any other rom, even any other miui:
Into recovery
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Avanced/Wipe dalvick cache
Go back
Mount and storage
Format system
Format data
Format cache
Go back
Install zip from SD card
Choose zip from Sdcard
Install ROM
Go back
Reboot system now
Enjoy it!!!!

Just one question guys! Did the themes changes the status bar toggle icons? I tried few v5 versions but status bar were remain same. MIUI with less customization than other roms seems not so good to me. Gingerbread times MIUI was so ahead from other type roms but now almost every theme have same status bar just different colored.

As far as I know you have to install i9300 language pack.

Thanks for the quick answer. I am saying it because I know is not something you can do about it. I have heard same for v4 first releases but finally we get only few themes with different styles of status bar. I remember the state of themes on Gingerbread, so stunning, every theme were feels like we use a new phone. I hope they will realise why the fans of MIUI are not so much now. Themes was the unique future of them and they had to work on that point I think. Good performance and great built in apps are also existing yes but they are easy to be replaced with market alternatives. Will try the rom and report my experience soon. I am not using MIUI as daily since Rohit discontinued Rgui and is nice to see that you're here. Included gapps and control panel like apps always makes your work better than original MIUI releases.

MIUIv4 in a few months (2/3 months) completely applied themes
may be that the themes that you installed, the creator of the theme, not modifying the theme completely

Copy it to your phone's SD Card.
Turn off your phone
Go to recovery mode (Stock Recovery 3e) (Home screen button + Power button + Volume up key)
Select install update from sd and select the ClockWorkRec5830i.zip Confirm the action
Now you are successfully installed ClockWork Recovery

Select wipe data / reset and Confirm the action
Select wipe cache partition and Confirm the action

No Battery Icon on First Boot? Open Settings >> AceJB Settings >> Battery Icon Themes. And apply any of the 21 battery icon styles
Tip: You can reduce Key Height for Keyboard. Open Settings >> Locale and text >> Android Keyboard >> Layout >> Vertical layout & Set Key height to 80-90.

INSTALLATION:-
YOU SHOULD BE ON LATEST BUILD OF EXTREMIS ROM BEFORE FLASHING THIS THEME..!!
I STRONGLY PREFER YOU TO INSTALL THIS THEME ON A FRESH INSTALL OF MY ROM THEN FLASH THIS THEME
1) Download the theme . Place it on the sd card.
2) Boot in CWM Recovery.
3) Wipe Wipe cache partition.
4) Then go to advanced & wipe Dalvik cache , wipe battery stats
5) mount system & data in mount & storage menu of CWM
6) Then choose install zip from sdcard & Flash.
7) Reboot & u r done.
8) Enjoy!

Well bro i have just copied some apps and modded them to give better expirience and added scripts etc & mods....
And btw do you have any problem with that?? (dont take me wrong).... i have taken permissions from every person.... and you asked what is mine hmm... let me ask you something....why people add beats audio libs,jelly header,sound mods,adrenaline etc scripts are not made by them but still they use them in their rom why???
For saving time and energy.....

Just don't flash it in 5.0's ROM because there has recovery bug in 5.0 to flash AROMA's ROM
BUGS
1. After Restart SystemUI the status bar expanded interface's operator will be huge!And it will fix after reboot or few minute
2.The lockscreen "Emergency call" have layout problem,but it's stll not big deal
If you lost recovery after flashing our ROM. Don't worry,this is not a bug,just flash recovery with computer again.

INFORMATIONS
1. Our ROM's theme can't install in any other ROM!That may cause may bug.
So please just use them in Mr.SL Series ROM.
2.If you use the "VAIO" signal's theme(like "Starry","Dew"...etc),you cant use "Display Carrier" options in SystemUI Settings.(Cuz it doesn't look fine,so we hide them)
3.Please disable STAMINA Mode icon(<Settings/Display/System Icon>) when you use "iOS Battery"and"Open the STAMINA Mode" at the same time(Yeh..it doesn't look good)
4.In 9.5 version we add governor options,this option can set the CPU governor in Max 1.19ghz not default 2.26ghz,i thought it's more battery saving and no heat problem,maybe you guys can ty it.
U ask me if it lag when set the governor to max1.19ghz ?
I say no! It doesn't lag when i playing game(HearthStone,Clash of Clans...etc) and open more application at the same time.
If you feel lag , just delete system/etc/init.d/set_governor and reboot. It will reset the default governor.
FEATURES
1.In some theme , there have two style battery(stock,ios)
You can change style in <Settings/Display/System Icon/Battery percentage>
Like this:
2.If you use the newest "blur" theme,you may need to set the background in size:
1080p : 2160*1920 or 720p : 1440*1280
Cuz we add new Blur code that support in any interface , and it bring about this problem.
If you doesn't set the size above,you'll get fc in Call.
3.It will open all options in "Advanced SystemUI Settings" in first boot system. If you don't want these features,just open it and close it.I think it is a little bug.:silly:

Maybe SELinux modechanger set permissive can fix that problem.
Now everything looks perfect. This rom is awesome. I love the IOS9 fresh theme. Great job @andy881005
