[Q] Most file types being downloaded as .txt files - LG Optimus 2x

As you can tell from the title, I've been having a strange issue on my phone. Most of the time, when I download something via the default cm webbrowser, the files end up being downloaded as .txt files, when they're actually apks, mp3s etc.
Anyone else with this issue?
I mean, it's not a big deal, I can always change the extension manually, but it becomes a royal pain in the rear when you download multiple files and have to change them one by one...

Yes, the exact specs are in my signature...

It is a limitation of all stock Android browsers. The only one that allows you to download the apk file is firefox. Try it!

Firefox is slow as hell... and Dolphin drains way more battery than it should :/

Yeah, but it's the only browser that allows you to download apk file

Stock task manager

Hi guys, I'm looking 4 the stock Samsung task manager...I'm on CM7, is there a way to have it? Even an application wich do the same thing is ok...
Thanks
Edit: also a go launcher looks -alike task manager will be ok
Inviato dal mio GT-S5570 usando Tapatalk
Same here.. Want that stock task manager or any app similar to it
Why don't you use another task manager? I think there are a lot of task manager app on market....
Yeah I know, but they usually show ALL the process, even the system ones, and they automatically kill them...I think go launcher one is perfect, because u can kill the apps (for example in case of crashes) or "go to", using it as symbian multitasking system

Using Fast Reboot/Task killer i think its better than stock app

Here's the link to it. Credits to yagya.
Download: https://db.tt/RoGpg6nB
Just flash it is CWM
Task managers are not needed on android (since Froyo i think). Android will kill apps which it does not need and will free up RAM for other apps on it's own.

1.Wrong Section. There's a Q&A section
2.Clear Data and Cache.
honestly there are way better browsers than stock, Dolphin browser HD or mini is a good choice and you can delete the stock browser with titanium backup
I know but since dolphin and opera uses lot of data and the mini version don't look good i use stock for 2g/3g..

its an APP! use another browser or tweak your ROM/KERNEL to improve system performance
and please dont create threads for insignificant topics! there is Q&A thread and subforum!

Say "/(&/(%/(()&§ßß" to Samsung who didn't provide us normal JB fimware.
And use some custom kernel.:angel::angel:
R: Pinch to zoom stock browser
I am using ThunderZap kernel but the problems are same with stock kernel.
BTW the problems are only in Stock Broswer, pinch to zoom works on other apps.
And the other browers are cancer.

[Help] Battery icon for 4.2.2

Hi, I recently installed the Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2), exactly Android Revolution HD 13.4. The battery icon doesn't have the percentual, and i don't like the number in the statusbar. Can you please me link some battery that I can flash having this firmware? I tried something, but without success (system.ui forcecloses etc). Thanks in advantage
Did you add the exposed framework and use the one toolbox? Then you can display the battery and percentage inside of it.

You can go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Grab the exposed framework and install it. If you don't know how to install the apk's manually, use something simple like Airdroid from the Play store and drag-and-drop the apk's where they tell you to in the web interface in order to install them. The install will finish on the phone.
When you installed the ROM, did you install One Toolbox? You can see it under your Apps section.
At least tell me that much and we'll proceed from there.
