Weird Issue after root - 7" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm having a strange problem after root. I've lost my notification bar. Also, the screen flickers like its trying to show the bar then it doesn't. Its constantly doing this! I tried multiple different launchers which where all moved to system app and permissions changed. Can't figure it out but its very annoying! Thoughts?

Exactly, I just rooted, upgraded, and rooted again not more than 20 minutes ago.
I installed this update on Wednesday and rooted fine yesterday with no problems.

Not True
Yes, mostly everyone that have followed the directions and know what they are doing have had success. I was one that upgraded first and didnt have any issues and havent had any since.
The update keeps failing for me after root. Any ideas?

[Q] stock email.apk from bionic

Could somebody post the stock email.apk from his or her bionic? Thanks.
Not sure if it helps but ive been using the AOSP email from a droid x rom.
I was trying to find one that had threaded email view. I am currently running CM7 on my milestone 2, and it doesn't do threaded email.
Here are the stock apps
EDIT: my post was blocked because I am a new member and don't have eight posts yet. I'll re-post later.

Since he's running Liberty (as far as I can tell from the other thread he posted in) he only has to go into Liberty Settings and check the box for it.

It's not that he's unhelpful, it's just that there are so many people who want everything done for them. Gets annoying after a while. This information has been covered ad nauseum.
Motofail ICS works too.

Lots of n00bs who want to be spoon fed. Instead of reading the forum and finding the info. This question has been answered in at least 5 post.

Did Amazon push a covert Patch to restore Lockscreen Adds?

Hey, I was along first group to remove adds by renaming a system file (can't remember name), but today when I turned on my fire HD the adds were back. Anyone else experiencing this?

I don't think so. I did the same thing and I'm on newest firmware 7.2.1 I believe and still no ads.

this one "system_do_not_touch.apk"?
I actually had another OTA update out of nowhere. The version is still technically 7.2.1, but it went from 7.2.1_user_2030320 to 7.2.1_user_2040020.

I have not move/rename. I actually want the updates to see how they affect the system, as long as they don't fix the root exploit. The reason I was annoyed is because I didn't notice it was an update until about the third time I flashed a backup and looked closer. Now I can make a backup of that version. By the way check out the android development section, Hashcode has figured out a way to bypass the locked bootloader

Yep. Had to root again, and move several apps back to system. Just hope there won't be any more surprises...

I received the same update - first I was confused, why my root was gone while it still having the 7.2.1 on, because I couldn't remember what was written after user_*** I wondered what happend - but thanks to that post now I understand.
Next to the lost of root, Amazon (which don't like us playing) turned back the permissions on the dtcp_apk.apk what brought the adds on the lockscreen back. They probably just pushed a new version of this file.
Yes, I just downloaded root checker and confirm my root is gone as well. The good news is that Google play is still working. My problem is how they pushed that updated without requiring user approval. This looks like a violation of our privacy rights. I'm going to research this further.

[Q] Tried so many things, cant get siaxxis controller to connect.

So far I bought an otg cable, installed a de-sensed rom, replaced the bluetooth apk, done everything imaginable to no avail. Anyone have any experience with this? I got a wiimote to sync for a little bit, but even that was glitchy. Anyways, anyone who knowz about syncing a ps3 controller to the vivid help me out. Thanks in advance.
I have no experience... however... somewhere there's a thread or post or something that says it works with cm10
