I have a rooted Thunderbolt and have yet to get a wifi tether app to work via WIFI. I can bluetooth between my Xoom and phone but not WIFI.
Does anyone have a know tether app that will work on the Thunderbolt. Or maybe the settings i need to try.

I didn't change a thing within the settings except change the device profile at the top to HTC Thunderbolt, I enabled wifi encryption so I could set a password for the wifi, make sure wifi driver reload is checked, make sure routing fix is checked, and make sure disable wake lock is checked... oh, and I changed battery temperature to farenheit so I could actually read the temp. Lol.
You should be set to go man.

I use Dazzle Widget. Also allows me to move Wifi, GPS, Sound, Brightness, Bluetooth, etc all to the homescreen with a widget.. Works wonders
What ROM (if any) are you using? Anything 2.2+ should have the option to disable/enable data connection from the power menu. Otherwise, the extended controls widget worked well for me.
Widgetsoid works great for me.

I like several of the curvefish widgets. You should try the battery widget and the vibrate widget.

I picked the widgetsoid2x, as what the above poster mentioned it runs really good and it does what it says in the description..
I Recommended that app..

Turn location settings on and off then go I to Google settings app and turn location off then back on. Then on the weather settings select detect my location and reboot the phone.
When the phone comes back on you'll have a box asking to allow location settings, press accept and it should work.

Yea, I'm having the same problem.. pulling down to refresh the feed. Don't have any battery management apps installed either... No idea why it's acting funky (and yea, I have enabled update w/ wifi and data)
*edit*
After eying my One for over 1hr30, Blinkfeed finally updated! However, the update was a few minutes late (said it updated at 7:33, but did not carry 5 or 6 stories that were available at the same time (did a manual update to test)
Try waiting 1hr30 and let me know how it goes! Do wish it updated more often...
I found this on htc.com
Can I change the refresh schedule in HTC Blinkfeed?
QUESTION:
Can I change the refresh schedule in HTC Blinkfeed?
ANSWER:
The phone automatically refreshes every 2 hours on mobile data network or hourly on Wi-Fi. While the phone is charging and connected to Wi-Fi, it refreshes every 15 minutes.
You can refresh HTC BlinkFeed anytime by pulling down the top of the screen. Pull down to refresh is now part of the many gestures supported on HTC Sense 5, such as the Mail app.
why is it on the setting for blinkfeed, Auto refresh is disabled and locked only using wi-fi? I want to auto update it via mobile data. Any suggestions?

[Q] Dim/disable capacative backlights

I want to turn off the capacitive button backlights, for when i'm using my phone at night, but I also don't want a background app running and killing my battery.
I've tried searching around, and the closest I've come is editing the file under
sys/devices/platform/leds-pm8058/leds/button-backlight ;
and changing brightness and currents to 0.
This works as a temporary measure only, however, as soon as I reboot my phone, it goes back to the brightness of a thousand suns.
Help?

Actually, just modifying the file seems to work fine, as long as I don't reset my phone, which I don't do too much anyway.

There's an app called "total screen control" that can dim and turn off the softkeys backlight. It's not free but you can search google for it.

Keyguard not disabling on wifi.

I had tried to make my Keyguard go off when I'm at my home wifi, and it simply doesn't work. I'm using tasker and I'm using the same profile as I did on my SGS2 and that was perfect but the HTC One is a bit more trouble some with this setting. If anyone has done this and got it to work successfully please include it. Much appreciated to sharing your time.

I am having the same problem with tasker, I am gonna try older version of tasker!!
I just started using Tasker... and it really works funkily. I have used Tasker itself and Secure Settings, both, to disable the keyguard when I am connected to my WIFi... And sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes while I am using the phone and hit the Android Home button, it actually goes to the Pattern input lock screen.
I am using CM10 with Action Launcher on a Samsung Galaxy Nexus 16gb GSM
