Android 4.2 GAPPS + Wallpapers + Sounds

I just flashed the Android 4.2 Gapps on my GT-P3113 running Paranoid Android 2.51 and all is well.... with the exception of the Camera which I keep getting FC's ("Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped.")

I just downloaded Camera ICS from the Play store until a fix is made. I'm glad to have the gallery sync back to connect to my Picasa albums though.

I figured that I'd chime in and say that I'm trying out the new gapps package too.
I'm also getting a FC on the camera, but don't use the tablet for photos anyway (photosphere does sound cool though).
All the other apps seems to work fine though Haven't tested exhaustively though.

Try clearing data for gallery and the flash gapps again.
I had same problem with new gapps on Liquid rom on galaxy s3 and that's how I solved it.

Excuse me all, but... Paranoid Android 2.51 and 2.99 are JB 4.1.2, am i right? so, is it correct to try to use 4.2 gapps on 4.1.2 android version?

Yes buddy, they're two different things, and that's why these releases (and rooting) are so wonderful -- they let you be in the bleeding edge all the time

Nope -- I have Synergy ROM on my SGS3 which is based on 4.1.1, and I have GApps 4.2 working just fine.

Sometimes it will work, but you cant just flash any gapps version.

Please don't get it wrong, I need samsung apps for particular reasons.. anyway, of course I googled a lot before posting the request here, but samsung apps.apk can't be installed normally on a custom rom, instead, some developers could develop samsung apps.zip which is flashed through cwm, but that wasn't for galaxy ace which is my concern now.

Ooops My bad.
Well, CyanogenMod 10.1 for I9000 is even much more better then for I9001. It is way more stable, cause it's supported by Cyanogen Team officialy. Check their thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2039755
Also you can try MIUI. Great work. I was satisfied to have it on my I9001. I am sure it is better for I9000 (officially supported). Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1548796&highlight=miui

I agree with memokwf. Also, Slim Bean (4.1.2 or 4.2.2) are good choices. Fast, light (although you will need to flash in another file for email, its easily downloadable from their site though) and pretty damn good battery life as well.

Hi, is there a patch zip file for the front camera? because every time i used other Rom, front camera doesnt work, Only the Rom stable to my P1000 and working camera is AOKP jb 4.1.2, thanks.

The (Front) Camera + Bluetooth problems are both well known post Android 4.1.2. (i.e. CM10.1 or CM10.2)
If you wish to continue using those Features you'll have to stick with Android 4.1.2. ROMs (CM10).
As you have already noted akop-sgt7 works well with our GT-P1000s, as does those from Paranoid Android, and Sapir.
I suppose the next question is will we ever get to see a working CM10.1/.2 mod for our GT-P1000s now that Android 4.4.x (CM11?), is now out?
Here's hoping that those Builds won't be plagued by those same Bugs!

i am currently using 10.1 4.2.2, and it dose that on both back and front cam...
very annoying especially when filming

I could say no it doesn't, then again I could also say that I don't use CM10.1/(.2) Android 4.2.2 / 4.3.1 either because I prefer a 100% WORKING Environment over having the latest shiny shiny, either.... It seems to me like you've been 'round long enough to known that much of it to by now. If you like the (Front) Camera & Bluetooth that much, and who doesn't? Then you had best stick with CM10 based ROMs for now...

actually i just started the whole rooting and flashing rom thing last week
so i am kind of new to all this
so CM10 rom are problem free?

IMHO, simply the best.:good:
Especially with kernel 3.0.101 based on cyanogenMod + some humberos commits; Recovery: CwM; Features: USB OTG, OC 1.4 GHz

sorry to ask a noobish question
but how do i flash from 10.1 to 10.2?
too i need to do anything extra?
or just simply copy the rom into my phone and flash as usual?

No just wipe cache / dalvik

Yes I would say that any number of CM10 based ROMs (HumberOS, Paranoid Android, Sapir to name a few), all work very well in my experience,

Same question applies... Does the (Front) Camera, and Bluetooth work?! If not why waste our time with it?
@Icarus1314; Very simple rule CM10 WORKS... CM10.1, and CM10.2 + CM11 currently do NOT work! Its still early days as far as CM11 goes, and People are working on it for the P1000, but it may still be some time before we actually see anything at all, if ever. As far as the (Front) Camera & Bluetooth is concerned.
After all this was a Bug that plagued this Device for nearly a Year now, and it still hasn't been fixed.
P.s. If your looking for "compatible" ROMs for your Device. I'd suggest you go to the Play Store (Formally the App Market), and download, and install the Goomanager app. Then search for compatible ROMs, and pick the last CM10 ROM http://goo.im/devs/cm/p1/nightly/cm-10-20130203-NIGHTLY-p1
You can also just download it to your Computer by going to http://goo.im and "Browse roms by device" (search) GT-P1000, or P1.
Sadly goo.im seems to be a bit wonky after their most recent update. So you might either have to fight though it, or find a different source.
Sadly Cyanogenmod do not seem to be hosting this File anymore though.

full wipe / wipe dalvik and flash cm10.1 that's all

Cam still Rom issue
It seems that porting camera features take too long now... fc on video on cm11... still front cam issue

[Q] Is there sn ICS rom with working camera out there?

So I've tested pretty much every ROM out there and came to the conclusion that the fastest ROM this tablet can handle is ICS kind of android.
But didn't find one that has everything working except for ugly samsung version.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried cm9 by addem1234 HERE
this thread has [PAC - PA - AOSP] JB 4.2.2, but it also has ICS cm9
and as I remember camera was working in it (I'm 75% sure of that)
