For now our developers have only announced the Steinheil Screen Protector films for the Note 2 at the moment,
however, with enough customer interest I'm sure it will have an impact on our production schedule!
Thanks for reaching out to us!

So if your interested contact them and lets show some interest
Lets hope we can have this great protector for our GN2

I thought that was a typo there, but the .tR is a new 'rounded edge' version.
I wish there was a way to remove/reinstall it though.
The one on my note 1 is kind of coming off, leading to some ugly bubbles. :/

Ultra Crystal
Ordered my glas.t Ultra Crystal protector from eBay yesterday for £11.49... Here's the item number:271069286485
Made my friend weep; he paid over £40 for his for his iBone 5...
As for those who reckon that it's heresy to put one of these on a Gorilla Glass 2 equipped Note II, let's see how your's looks in 6 months (and how much it will still be worth) - I could, of course, be completely wrong. I'll review it here in the coming days.
Now all I have to do is to choose a case/bumper!

lol.. You have it all mixed up. That's not glas.t.... that's just ultra crystal plastic screen protector. Glas.t is made with tempered glass which has 8-9h, ultra crystal is 4h. You didn't get bargain there, price you paid is the correct for ultra crystal, and glas.t does cost about £40.
Gorilla glass can still be scratched. Regardless of the value of the phone in 6months, I still rather protect my investment with screen protector and down the road it will definitely help with resell value.

i don't have a note ii yet, but i'm hoping for sgp to have the glas.t available by the time i have the note ii.
i have the glas.t for my note 1 and it's probably the best purchase i've ever had. the glas.t feels amazing! it feels just like the naked screen. it also has an oleophobic coating on it, making it pretty resistant to fingerprints. the spen still works great and the glas.t has no ill effects on it

Wow this is awesome...

Would love one of these for mine. .. Will keep an eye on this for availability. ..
This teamed with a silicon cover would be perfect protection imo...

The glass. T is actually a thin screen protector made from glass as opposed to plastic.

I prefer not using any screen protection. I think the screen's quality is fine. So I am keeping it barely. No screen protector, no case as well. Good luck to me if any bad thing happens.

Screen Protectors? Where?

The only place I can find that has screen protectors for the Note 2 now is at Clove. So I ordered one with my note 2 from them, the only problem is that its a MIRROR one and I don't really like it.
Anyone know where else we can get the screen protectors? It would be nice to put it on my note 2 when I get it straight away.
I kinda feel like we could kinda use note 1 screen protectors with a little surgery.
I have a few leftovers to tide me over while I wait for a glas.t for the note 2.

Yeah, hence the surgery.
Basically you'd have to cut the very top and bottom off a Note 1's screen protector, and you would have to leave the Note 2's speaker and button area exposed. The LCD would still be protected though.
Not ideal, but I think it should look okay, and tide me over while I wait for a protector brand I'm happy with.
- Frank
mate I was thinkng about a screen protector but then I thought "gorilla glass 2". it's suppose to be unscratchable. now I know how you feel, because I've ALWAYS put on a protector for the LCD. but after taking it off on the S3 for a day, I realised how nice it was to use without the protector. there is a big difference of feel with and without a protector on. now I'll never put one on. considering they have gorilla glass 3, 4, 5 and so forth coming up ;P
but if you wanted a protector anyway I was about to buy 1 from spigen SGP. they have them. very good quality. always to edges of phone and buttons, looks like you don't even have one on _b
Amazon also has the Spigen available

thanks..
Why would you use a screen protector on gorilla glass screen ? I have not scratched my old desires display in 2 years I have been using it. And the desire has gorilla glass, note has gorilla glass 2 and I suppose it should be even better and even more scratch resistant. Has Samsung used "softer" displays on other phones ?

which one is better? "Ultra Crystal" Or "Ultra Oleophobic"?
crystal is the clear transparent surface.
oleo is a matte finish. mainly for glare resistant and no smudges on the surface.
I would personally go crystal, keeps the clarity of your picture over matte.
end of day the phone has gorilla glass. I wouldn't get a screen protector at all.

Oleophobic ones are not really that good. Had it on my note 1. The finger print resistant only lasted a very short time. I'm now using the ultra optic only note 1. But haven't tried ultra crystal yet. If you want the finder print resistant...should go for ultra optic but it's a bit grainy. Oleophobic is not really worth it

+1. My last phone had the SGP Steinheil 'Ultra Crystal' and after a year I removed it to go naked. The film was still crystal clear. On a previous phone, I had the brand Clear Protector 'military' grade protector. After a year I pulled off the protector and it had yellowed. I don't want that.
The speign glas-t is the way to go but they havnt been reliesed yet so cheep and cheerful till they confirm they will be seeling for the note 2 .

If screen protectors are that useless why do Samsung do one *specifically* for the note 2?
Anyway this has already been talked about in another thread so probably best if people gave some advice about quality of screen protectors like the OP was asking for, instead of childish sniping remarks.
So...back to topic....
I have been loyal to sgp/steinheil previously because of their high-quality design. You could guarantee hardness, clarity, durability and fit. Just purchased a packet of Steinheil oleophobic for Note 2 and I am very disappointed. They do not fit the whole screen, being about 5 mm short of phone edges (top and bottom). Without a tpu case to cover the edges, the phone looks awful ...edges exposed and unprotected. Really disappointed.
OP, you might want to only consider Steinheil for Note 2 with caution or if you have a case that covers the edges. Quality of material is great...but sadly not enough material was used
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
if you want the best wait for the Spigen Glass T r, if you want the second available best go for the Spigen Ultra Crystal, using it on mine, absolutely love it, it hard to tell you have a protector on.
Checkout the Spigen series.

The note is curved near the edges like the S3, thats why screen protectors don't go right up to the edge as it will
be full of bubbles then. I know Spigen have a screen protector called 'curved crystal' which as you can guess is curved
and covers the S3 completely but they haven't released a curved protector for the note 2 yet...
Can someone take a pic of the Spigen UC protector on their Note 2?
I heard it doesn't completely cover the screen and leaves a good chunk of lip.
I put a AT crystal clear screen protector on my note 2. Not too happy that it doesn't go all the way to the edges. It almost looks as if the protector was made for the GS3.

I use an xtremeguard screen protector, which goes all the way to the edge (like zagg). The case works fine and doesn't overlap on the screen at all. I don't know how to accurately describe it, but it kind of just sits on the chrome bezel.
______
This case scratches REALLY easily on the back, like the Speck Candyshell. I only have my wallet in the same pocket, and there are noticeable scratches on the back. I think if it get's cheaper in the future, I'll pick another one up and try to make this one matte with fine sandpaper.

It goes all the way to the edge. My first one actually got scratched up when I used an alcohol pad to clean it.
No lifting so far. Please be advised that the pen does not work well with it. I use the pen like once every two weeks, so I just left this screen protector on. Might replace it when there is a non-zagg-like one that goes to the edges.

Xtreme Guard Spartan Tempered Glass Screen Protector

If anyone has feedback on this product, would love to hear your story. Picked them up, figured even if not perfect, the price was right.
I guess they got swarmed, I had it in my cart, 10 minutes later when I attempted to check out, it said sold out. Would appreciate impressions though from those that bought it, once it arrives. I'm curious how smooth these feel, as well as whether the sides and corners are rounded or sharp.

Using the Nillkin 9H Tempered Glass Screen protector currently, but ordered some Xtreme Guard Spartan because they were cheap.
Just got a warranty replacement yesterday and I had already picked two of these up dirt cheap during the sale. Was absolutely the easiest install of any screen protector I've ever done and looks fantastic on my new unit. Far fewer fingerprints, and crystal clear. Highly recommended, especially when on sale.

Here's a video of it on the device
Just ordered 2 as of today! Summer85 gets you the Spartan Protector for $6!
Just recently got my tempered glass. Very happy with it, almost feel as if its smoother than the screen itself, and fingerprints wipe off much easier Was really easy to install, would buy again!
Impressed with it. Works well.
Got mine today (ordered 2 with the 85% code).
Pretty quick and painless install, and the best part is the protector seems pretty fingerprint resistant (which was my biggest annoyance with plain screen.)

Yea I saw that today, I was tempted to buy a backup, but it's out of stock at the moment

(REVIEW) Revised Spigen Curved Crystal HD Screen Protector

Spigen sent me some revised protectors today after emailing me that they were having problems with the adhesive on the sides.
The new ones are perfect. Went on easy, sides stayed down.
I'll report back in a few days to ensure it hadn't lifted, but ad of the last few hours, it perfect.
Fits my uag case with no issues.

I've had the revised version on my phone for the past few days and the sides have stayed down. I can't even tell it's on there. Using it with the Spigen rugged armor and thin fit cases with no issues. Very happy with this protector so far.
FYI the new ones scratch very very easily. I had mine installed for 5 minutes before getting a huge scratch from my micro USB cable dragging across it while I moved it and it woudlnt go away. I had of swap it out because it was really bad. I'm disappointed so far with the new versions scratch resistance even for a plastic screen protector.
that's very disappointing, I was about to order some due to their cut seeming like they are case friendly

+1
Bought the device on "day 2", still struggling to find a good glass protector for my still nude display....[emoji19]
From my Galaxy S7 Edge.
Anyone tested the new version with the spigen ultra hybrid?

I still say it's the best/nicest looking option we have right now. PET protectors have always been prone to scratches vs the vynil ones. Worthy trade off to not have the orange peel feel.
Plus, cheap enough and two in a pack.

Yes, but I've never seen one scratch that easily. I can scratch it with my finger nail without any effort. That's terrible even for a PET film. Other than that it's nice and clear with a decent feel.
I've had this on my phone for a few days and overall it looks crystal clear and it's smooth but the downside is I've already gotten micro scratches on it just from wiping the screen. Even with that I prefer this over wet install so far but I believe spigen could have done better with the scratch resistance.

The one with the bumper?
Does it lift the protector or are the cut outs big enough.

This one vvvvv. Doesn't lift edges at all. Doesn't even look like it touches since it's so thin.

I just got my Spigen Neo-Hybrid and it's tight like a glove. I bought a VRS which i think is a knock-off company that's not terrible, but the Neo-Hybrid is super slim and far outdoes the VRS.
This is hilarious, I just got selected by Spigen to test the neo-hybrid

Guess what. It fits! Lol

I have the updated version, the 1st one I applied sticked to the edges but had bubbles, I removed it and put the second one on and for the life of me it won't stick on the edges. I have the liquid crystal case which seems to lift the film up also...
I'm going to order a couple of these and see how they work out. Have the Bodyguardz HD curved on 2 of our S7's and they work really well. Need a protector for a new black S7 edge we just got.
How is the coating on these protectors? Fingerprint magnets?
Are they shipping only the updated screen protectors from Amazon or would I need to order them from Spigen?
