Steps to install:-
ONLY FOR ROOTED DEVICES
1) open root explorer
2) Copy paste apk on system>apps
3) set permissions to rw-r--r--
4) reboot and enjoy

Just
1) Download root explorer
2) open root explorer and copy the downloaded walkman player apk in the folder system/app by mounting system(pressing r/w button on top)
3) long press the copied apk of walkman player app and select permission
4) set permission as

X - -
X - -
that is same as all the apps in that folder.
4) reboot and complete.

i don't think you can read correctly..APPS are not the only features..there are DISPLAY and PERFORMANCE realted features as well like Xperia S Non-Transparent theme, with optional transparent one
Modded Xperia Theme heavily with some ICS Elements.and if you do not like this, do not use it.Noone is forcing you

Hi adityalahiri13, Thanks for your reply and instructions. In system/app folder I see now email.apk with the same permissions like all the other apps, but when I reboot I do not see email app in the app list in the launcher. Do you have another thought what might be wrong or what I have forgotten?? THis Rom is really fast and have great battery life for me, so I hope you or someone else can help me with the email.apk, because I need agenda and e-mail from Outlook exchange from my work.

[TUT][MOD] AOSP Lockscreen Stock Rom

Hey Guys, just a quick one from me here, you may have found this Tutorial Loafing around on various places at xda but i may as well share it with you and make it device specific! ​
This doesn't add or change anything, just replaces stock lockscreen (Which i love) With the JB AOSP one (Which i also love)
Requirements:
- Stock Rom/Based Rom
- Root Access
- A Root file explorer ( I use ES and give it RW perms )
- A Thumb Of course

Open your chosen file explorer and gain root permissions/give it root access or whatever you would like to call it​
Now navigate to /system/Apps​
Scroll a little till you find the Lockscreen3.apk (Well mine was called that)​
Long press or select or whatever to give you the ability to rename it​
Now change the file extension to Lockscreen3.apk.bak obviously not in red but you need to add that bit​
Now reboot​
NOTICE:
To return to stock, change the file name back to .apk
Upon boot you will have an AOSP jb Lockscreen Which would look similar to this one:​

Find out what your stock lockscreen.apk and sure it will work on most devices, ICS and upward only thou i think, however i may be wrong, works on Sense and LG however i have never tried TW! Give it a go and post back here any feedback and devices it works for!

Nice tutorial btw u can also do this by going into the build.prop and change the ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=true line to ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=false
And get the same result

do u mean that u have a live wallpaper on home screen ? in that case it will show on the aosp lockscreen also

nice tutorial. i get everything done until the part of renaming Lockscreen3.apk. when i rename it by adding the .bak extension, i get a notification saying fail on task and it doesn't let me rename the file. any ideas?

The original file was taken from Z2 system dump. Not so smooth, may be due to our phone's low hardware spec...
Tested only on OmniROM 4.4 for TX. Not sure if it works on other ROMs
ADD: If you encounter FC on stock 4.3, try this tip provided by Rizal Lovins: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53943578&postcount=18
Or you can try removing all previous versions (/data and /system) and put this APK in /system/app, chmod 644 (rw--r--r--) .

Well I tested this on OmniROM 4.4. There is no FC and it works as expected. Maybe it demands some special Android version(4.3+)?
EDIT: Only usable for 4.1(stock) and 4.4(all 3rd-party ROMs). I'm trying to get this working on stock 4.3. You can try putting this file in /system/app (this method works on my 4.3)

FC or runs without ribbons? Have you tried copying it to /system/app and chmod as OP says? (See #11)

If the custom ROM has the unmodified version of this live wallpaper built-in, it may replace this modded one. You can try removing this xperia_wallpaper.apk from your device(/data/app and /system/app) and then reboot. After that, use System Tuner Pro or something similar to find and uninstall the built-in one. Then you can put this into /system/app and have a try.

I was only searching in system/app and I never thought about data/app!
After uninstalling and deleting all the apks, I wiped cache and dalvik and then the live wallpaper with waves appeared!

Okay just want to tell people that this Live Wallpaper is using Google Signer, so you need to patch services.jar (disable checking signature/Super User Mod) for Stock Firmware, so Live Wallpaper can work without any problem ( and use Latest Xperia Home for smoothness Live Wallpaper)
If still doesn't work edit the build.prop

It's really nice! But it didn't work in Photos, Walkman and Movies apps, I don't know why. In the other ones it's working really nice (Android L looking ).

Look in /data/app, you may find com.sonyericsson.album-x.apk, com.sonyericsson.music-y.apk and com.sonyericsson.video-z.apk. Pls tell me the values of x, y and z.

There is not any of those apk files in this folder.[emoji50]

I couldn't find the movies apk in that folder.

Well, pls install root app delete, launch it, select movie and you will see the true path of this app (but don't unsinstall it of course).

Sorry mate, I was not at home so I cannot feedback before. The v2 worked partially. I mean, if I look for the apk files in the browser (also in Settings > Applications) they have the moded icon, but in the launcher they still have the old ones. This behaviour just happens with Album, Walkman, Movies, Radio, Camera (in v1 it was OK, but not in v2) and Sony select.
Later I can post some pics.

BTW, v1 worked perfect on my father's T (my old T).
I'll have to wait 12 days to do further tests on it.

Just for further info.
The camera icon was working on the first version, but not in the v2. I don't really know why.
The media apks are the last version of each one (look at this post). What I do is to push the apk files to the system/app folder. So, maybe that's why it is not in the data partition.

Update v2: icon "settings" added, created by me[/SIZE]
@ironwick : this new v2 works perfect on my old T.
