Awesome, there some nice shots. Are some of them from Hugos G+ page?

Awesome. Here's the Google page where folks can upload and share their 360 panoramas on Street View.

Wow, I was not expecting that image quality :silly:
Thanks for the pictures !

Nice pic quality, I wouldn't mind seeing a side by side iPhone 5 vs SGS3 vs Nexus 4

Love the muse concert pics.

I might be asking too much but, are there any pictures taken macro, like to a flower? those are always pretty

Looks like they were ripped from flickr using a "Nexus 4" search.

Hey, thanks for the photos! Can you please say if the muse show pic were taken during movie mode, or Nexu 4+Android 4.2 allows for native 16:9 photos?
Thanks in advance!

Those sample shots look very good.

Surprisingly good.

Why so glum?
If Skype could get video chat working with it now, I'd be happy. Not many people I know have phones capable of video calling, but I do have family in parts of the country that use Skype.
finally!!!
Nice, my gf has it working on her Epic 4G.

Anyone who has Tango, and the Market app can see that it now supports the Nexus S. Should be make a new thread every time an app supports the Nexus S?

Yes, if it is a desired app such as video calling.
Why are you being a jerk about it? I didn't have Tango. I was waiting for something to be supported. Guess what? I downloaded Tango and now I have fully supported video calling.
Who wants to test it with me? I wanna check it out. PM me your email/phone number.

Is this app working well for anyone? I tried video chat with my brother today (he has a Nexus S like me) as well as my dad (who was using Tango on an iPhone 4). All of us were on Wifi. Video quality was terrible. Audio latency and quality were terrible. On the whole, it was unusable for us.
Wifi didn't work well for me either, haven't tried 3g yet.

Tango still the only video chat option

Has anyone discovered any other options for video chat yet? I wish there was one with a desktop client....
Was looking for another app as well... tried Fring but it uses the back camera.
Tango sucks though, it's so stuttery and laggy even over wifi. I'm gonna try Qik next, but it doesn't seem like there's any good video calling app for android yet.

ooVoo did not allow me to do video chat as it will not let me select using the front facing camera as my video source in the app settings on my Nexus S nor my girlfriends. So it is not a viable choice for Nexus S owners.
I wrote qik support on this last week, but they couldn't give be an ETA on a video chat app for NS.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
About to just program a video chat app myself. -_-
On ooVoo's website, it says that they are working on Nexus S compatibility. The last time I checked was couple weeks ago, so yeah, could have changed by now.
nothing works except tango. Which 'works' but doesn't work. I have a bunch of video chat apps installed on my phone waiting patiently for one of them to update.
I am SO STOKED about oovoo! Desktop to mobile! Anf they announced support for NS!!! argh!

I am hoping Skype video support comes to Android sometime soon. My family that lives all over the country uses it to keep in touch, so it'd be nice to have that option from my phone. I don't really have a reason to use video chat on my phone otherwise at the moment.

I tried ooVoo and it looks promising, but yeah it doesn't work for NS yet. The UI is nice, and the desktop client seems good. Keeping an eye on this one...
Can't believe Google dropped the ball on this. THEIR phone with a FFC and no Google Chat video.

[Q] What do you do with the front camera ?

Hi there.
Do you know some applications for video conference using the front camera ?
Thanks a lot !
Edit :
- Fring
- ooVoo
Take picture of yourself. That's about it. Very useful, isn't it?

Tango. There's also an iPhone Tango app so you can video chat with the rest of the world.
I know people who work for Telus here in Canada and they were told skype video for Android will be out very soon and I believe it because they are advertising skype video on their nexus s which will be released Friday. That will make use of the front camera!

Skype with video for Android looks like it's imminent. May finally find a use for the front facing camera. The only time I video chat is via skype so this could be a good move, though the video quality of the front-facing camera doesn't do the idea justice...
This is cool, any ETA from when SGT users will be available to get the new skype?

ooVoo doesn't work as well. i can make calls but it doesn't show any video. the weird thing with ooVoo is that when i try to select my device, it says that the model that i have isn't supported. maybe because i'm using the Wifi version only?

I think the best way is to go to the same website on their non-1080p phone and zoom in and out on text to show how much smoother it looks on yours at all the different sizes. Then watch a video (timescapes posted above is an excellent one to use, and has the advantage of being excellent for showing off the speakers as well) on both phones so they can see how much better yours looks.

FYI: Front Camera

Nexus 5 front Camera only records video up to 720p! What a shame! I hope it get's a mod to record 1080P for video chats...
FYI: everybody knows that.

Yup, Nexus 5 front facing camera video recording sucks....I was hoping it records 1080p now. Cuz it's new and Google didn't even pointed that one.
I saw a Chinese phone commercial with a 10 or 13 MP front facing camera with wide angle lens and BSI, I wonder if we got those innovations in US markets,,,I love taking selfie photos and skype video chat or hangouts. It would be a great option.
Seriously getting so sick of all these complaint threads.

Doesn't really matter what the front camera resolution is for video chat apps. Skype and hangouts will compress your video to 480p levels and lower so your 1080p camera is practically useless unless you take selfies and video through the actual Camera app.

Agreed. Tried video chat with my wife aver Hangouts and it was subpar with her on a mobile connection. I'd rather have 480P or less and it actually be a video chat than a web cam chat from 2001.

What you are thinking abut is the Oppo N1, a 5.9 inch phablet with a rotating camera. No company is going to put a 13MP font facing and back facing camera into a phone (at least not yet). For one it wouldn't fit not to mention the N1 is a $580 phone and you are comparing it to a 350-400$ phone.

Quit using the price as an excuse for everything, the nexus costs the same to build as pretty much every other phone. The reason it costs less than other devices is that Google is a marketing company so they save on those costs and they lower their profit margins compared to Apple and Samsung. This isn't the place to discuss this but im getting sick of reading "what did you expect? Its a $400 device"
Heck, some of the people in this forum would argue its fine for a $350 Nexus device to not even make calls since its only $350.
