Bluetooth FM Transmitter - Galaxy Note II Accessories

I'm after a Bluetooth FM transmitter that acts as a speaker in effect to pick up both music & video sound and is compatible with the SGN2.
I currently bought a cheap model from ebay that works fine with phone calls but the SGN2 refuses to see it as a speaker and no music or video sound is played.
If i use the built in 3.5mm jack in the unit, it does work fine but obviously i'm after a wireless solution.
Can anybody help me in my quest ?

I bought a motorola t505 over a year ago for around $50 and it is still kicking along just fine.

Earphones/Headphones With Mic

Does anyone know of any earphones/headphones with a mic that work with the DROID Incredible (or android 2.1 phones in general)? I dont care really about the controls, just the mic.

I believe the Nexus One comes with headphones that do this, but not certain
I have the Holua Skull candy earphones that have a mic and they work really well. The button press will play/pause and answer and hangup calls. Nothing really special other than that.
I am using the set that came with my wife's blackberry (that I just replaced for her with an Incredible) and they work fine with both calls and audio playback. I am not sure that you need any special brand to get to work with your phone.
I just picked up a random $20 set of in-ears with a mic from microcenter, they're marketed for iphone, but worked out of the box.
I think I'm going to buy the Nixon Whip Mic headphones.
I have bought in ear type of headphones from the VZW store that have worked int he past. Too bad I broke them. I stepped up to a bluetooth headset.
I'm using the set from my iPhone until I decide if I will buy the Bose or something else.
has anyone tried the psp go headphones? they work really well on my tp2!
I tried to talk on the phone with a standard set of headphone (no mic) and it worked just fine--the phone uses its mic for calling if no mic is plugged in. YAY.
I'm using the iPhone headphones which work just fine

Im using the moto S-9 stereo bt headphones. Calls sound good and everyone says I come in clear too. A2DP is sweet too for trance/techno and podcasts
Etymotic HF2
I bought them for my Blackberry, I use them for my Droid, my Ipod, for everything.
I use the Motorola S9-HD bluetooth headset.
To me they work great, but the call button does not work correctly with the incredible.
All phones, at least the ones I've used works with the mic and the answer/call/pause/skip/prev/ button. I think that is just a common thing in every chipset of phones or something
South-Wing Bluetooth headset works...
I'm using the SA505 and the sound is terrific + it provides lots of control.
I'd be happy to recommend the MEElectronics AI-M9Ps that I brought for a mere $23.99. Great quality and sound for a decent price. One of the reviews here pretty much nails it:

What headphones are you using?

I'm just curious what headphones you guys are using for your XT720. Are you using the one's that came in-box or are you using something else? (and if so, what?)
I'm using stock. With me, stock is enough.
My friend can't use my Moto headphone on his Sony X8, so i think we can't use Sony headphone too.
Panasonic RP DJ120... work great =)

Bose in-ears and love them. This is my 3rd pair in 5 years. I listen everyday at work or on the way home. Only had to pay once b/c the warrantee is outstanding.
Motorola s305 Bluetooth works great for music and calls also play pause stop skip answer and volume buttons on headphones very handy!!

I´m using the Sennheiser CX-300 great in ears for about 40€! their sucsessor the CX-300 II (precision) is also very recommendable
Sony MDR-ZX100 Headset.
http://cdn.techiser.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/Sony-MDR-ZX100-White.png
15€ totally worth it!
Usually I listen to internet radio which streams at 128-192kbps so more expensive headset will be total waste of money!
the stock one
and nofear embedded in a jacket (hence and the playalka )
The stock headphones work very well compared to I had on my Motorola ZN5

Sound and Bluetooth Headphones

"Hearing' that people are saying the sound is 'crap' (their words), I was wondering if anyone has had a chance to try a decent set of bluetooth earbuds or headphones?
I would like something with a full range, good highs and lows. I have a decent pair of corded Sennheisers that I used to use with my TF101 Transformer, but I am afraid the SQ may be as bad as others are saying.
These have decent reviews:

I use a Sony MW600 with my phones (n7 hasn't arrived yet, but plan on using the MW600 with it as well). I think that the Smart Wireless Headset pro replaced the MW600, but not 100% sure.
I *totally* recommend the mw600's (and I'm assuming the newer Smart Wireless Headset pro will be similar in quality). The sound quality is excellent. I'd call myself a casual audiophile... I appreciate good sound even if I don't have a "golden ear". I really don't detect any difference between the BT audio and direct cable with the same headphones.
So that being said, I used the mw600s till the included ear buds (in ear buds, not quite IEMs) wore out. I now use the teeny MW600 with my Sennheiser HD25 SPs. LOVE THIS COMBINATION. It's amazing how long the MW600 drives the HD25s, how loud and clear the audio can be.
And the Sony BT dongle handles calls as well, of course.
Get it (or the smart wireless headset pro, I'd assume they are similar in quality, but best to research) and the HD25 SPs and you're golden.
Note that I did recable my HD25 SPs and built a split cable that pigtails short off of the headphones so I can clip the Sony dongle to my shirt, along with an extension if I'm using the HD25s hardwired.
I currently use some MM400 sennheisers, works great on my N7, iPhone ect
The forward/backwards function works too!

I use a set of JayBird Freedoms that I use with my Motoactv and my GS2. Sound quality is pretty similar to my Bose IE2's. They carry good range, highs and lows. I have read that they have a great warranty and good customer support. Luckily I have not had to put it to the test yet.
Jaybirds here also. I've had them for about 8 months and love them.

If you are looking for bluetooth, make sure it has the apt-x codec. It makes your audio files sound like a wired headset. I use the HTC stereoclip in my car and for my EVO LTE. The soun difference is amazing. The samsung hs3000 has it also and they come with earbuds and it is only $34 on Amazon. Look on the Evo lte forums under accessories to learn more.
Has anyone used the LG Tone - HBS700 Wireless Bluetooth Headset? Looks like it has good reviews and it would be comfortable to wear. I'm debating on buying it. I listen to music relatively frequently as i'm out and about and would like to go wireless for convenience, but not sure if it is an absolute necessity.

Bluetooth audio is about convenience, but there really are some gems out there for audio quality.
I'm still using a 5+ year old set of Jabra bluetooth headphones I bought new from Tigerdirect when they mysteriously went on sale for $25 shipped.. and a few days later they went back up to the normaly $125... not before me advising a bunch of co-workers at the time and letting them try them out.
This was when Bluetooth 2.1+edr was pretty cutting edge, and for wireless headphones they sound fantastic.
That being said, when I get my Nexus 7 16gb pre-order in, I'll test them out... but on a new device I have no doubts they'll sound great.
I also have an old pair of KOSS headphones, with full range, but they look ridiculous with large bold print on each ear, but they sound great.
I'd update that, but I rarely wear headphones while at home. I work for a large Canadian Bank doing internal IT, and I wear a monural plantronics headphone most of the day, so I give my ears a break after hours.

Didn't see it in the picture, it's hidden well then. The headset looks nice the only downside was no mic, but since it has one, it may be one I order.
Se mw600 ftw
I have the Sony MW600 as well and it is indeed nice, especially since you can use any IEMs with it.
Lately I have been mulling over the upgrade to the newly released MW1 but there seems to be compatibility issues with the microSD slot built into it.

i am thinking about getting a pair of these
LG Tone HBS-700
My favorite headset and I think I tried them all. Awesome battery life (10+ hours music playback), comfortable wear, hardware on/off, standard micro USB charging, vibrating call indicator, quality microphone, it beats all the other headphones I have. Currently $47 on Amazon.
I found the MW600 unusable because of its incomprehensible user interface, tiny controls that are easy to hit by mistake, fragile clip, unreadable display.
I also have a Motorola Sports and a Plantronics 603 which seem to share the same electronics and the same flaw: they sometimes refuse to power on even though fully charged, and sometimes lose their charge even when plugged in. To me that makes them completely useless if I can't count on them being ready when I need them.
Most others, like the Jabra Clipper, would almost be perfect if it weren't for their lousy battery life (5h playback on a good day).
The LG Tone could only be improved by making the earbuds interchangeable.
Yup, The best one. I already ordered one. The white version looks beautiful too.

I've had a pair of these for over a year and I love them -- best BT headphones I've ever had.
I use a Rocket fish behind-your-head BT headphones which has a mic. Bought them a year ago for $50 and they show zero signs of wear.
Oh, and they are go over your ear, not IN them...which always gives me a massive headache in under 10 minutes of use. These I can wear for hours on end with no pain

Does your LG HBS-700 work with your Nexus 7?
Mine pairs, but when I try to play spotify, plex, etc., I don't get sound.
I have an og Evo 4G and when I run Jelly Bean based ROMs, the headset works for phone calls, but not for spotify, music, or anything other media.
I'm beginning to wonder if it is a compatibility issue with Jelly Bean.
Otherwise, I'm a big fan of the headset.

Plantronics Legend by far hands down
Motorola H19txt for something discreet.
Parrot Vxi+ if you need something industrial grade and don't care what it looks like.
if you are talking Bluetooth, then Its the bose bt2, hands down...
I have been through 7+ headsets in the last 3 years and just recently bought the plantronics M165.
Simply the best one I have owned to date. Clear. Excellent noise reduction. Super light.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll check out everything.
I've probably been through 20 wired and bluetooth headsets over the years. The best was from theboom, but they stopped working well when I started using the galaxy s2
I bought the jawbone deal just because it's cheap. I'll compare against the plantronics voyager I already have. The bose is tempting since it seems like the only headset on Amazon that has generally good reviews.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
the voyager is probably the second best headset behind the bose; its just kinda big and bulky with that boom, and if you wear it all day, it feels heavy on your ear, where the Bose is almost non existent on your ear after a few hours.
the jawbone was good in its day, but its no where near the best now a days, but hey, for 30 bucks, why not!
and, I have had EVERY Bt headset ever made in the last 10 years or so...
If you want a real treat, grab the Jaybird bluebuds; expensive, stereo, and the absolute best sound for music, and not bad for phone calls either!
i'm using samsung hm1100 bluetooth
I have the Jawbone Era. It's worked well for me. I haven't had complaints while using it by the person on the other end.
CNet as of Feb 4, 2013, currently lists the top 5 BT headsets: Plantronics Voyager Legend, Jawbone Era, Jabra SUPREME UC MS Headset, BlueAnt Q2 Smart Bluetooth Headset, and Jawbone Icon HD. You would just have to read to see which may fit your needs and wants best.
I will say, the Era is definitely on the pricey side. I got mine on sale for half off and was a good value at that price. Before that, I had a Jawbone 2 for years and worked well through BlackBerry Curve, Evo 4G, and to the GN2. Thus in my opinion, I think they make a good products. I read very good things about Plantronics over the years, which should give good value for you as well.
I alternate between the Plantronics Voyager Pro + and the Jawbone Era. I like the voice customization options on the Jawbone but I prefer the overall sound quality in the Voyager.

Cnet doesn't update their ratings with current models...they don't have the bose bt2 in their top 5?
I've had 4 of those headsets in their "top 5", and only the Plantronics voyager comes close..
I'm a headhunter and thus work on the phone for a living. There isn't a bluetooth headset made without a boom mic that wont sound like you are on a speaker phone. The best ones are found at truckstops. They are the ones truckers buy but they have a big boom and your voice is super clear.
That being said, the main problem is with bluetooth itself. Using digital phones your voice is already being given a mechanical tinny sound. Add to that another layer of processing with bluetooth and it only gets worse. For those old guys like me who remember the days of analog cell phones where you sounded like a human you know what I mean.
So, if you are working in an office get either a wired or bluetooth headset (wired better) with a boom mic. For walking or driving around any of these suggested would work well.

Plantronics Voyager Pro HD GTN-7100 Call Disconnects
Cannot recommend Voyager Pro HD as Plantronics Voyager Pro HD GTN-7100 Call Disconnects. I have gone back to cheaper Jabra Easycall (but it does not have mute function). This problem is not just related to the Note II and is not just related to Voyager Pro HD - other phone and headset combinations have reports of call disconnect e.g. Jabra Wave has Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 bluetooth problem during call

Bose 2 bt is the BEST, followed closely by Votager Pro HD, and YES, if you need to be on a bluetooth all day, then a premium headset works a million times better than the cheapos, as far as sound, comfort, and every other way...only 4-5 hours of talk time on the bose, and almost 8 with the voyager..
I've owned at least 50 BT headsets in my life, so I am pretty well versed on this subject..
