Instead of charging case, I use this:
http://www.batterybay.net/Battery-for-Samsung-GT-N7100-p/samsung-cs-smn710hl.htm
I think it is more stable than charging case (switching from charge status and in use status would cause damage to my battery):laugh:
Ordered one but still waiting for it to arrive. I may report how it looks and use later~~~~~

im sorry ur crazy...that makes this beautiful phone look like a brick...im still watching for the case to be available on ATT...

Anyone ever get the case if so how is it working out 4 u?

It has a very thick front flap, ive seen this case at the local at&t store.

I tried it out and it's a piece of ****. Got my money back the next day. Does not close well the actual battery is on the top that flips on the phone screen and part of the battery hits the screen every time you close it I just knew the it would fu÷× up my screen sooner or later. Don't waste your money.

i have the said charging case, and the front flap thing does suck, so i simply cut it off...
the case has a 4000mah battery in it( so they claim)
what iv found. my phone lasts 24-27 hours with the stock battery.
with the case fully charged and pre cycled,
i get 48-52 total hours of phone on time.
it does work
things to note,
the button to turn the device on, is very touchy and can turn it self on while in your pocket (or off)
the case is big bulky and silly looking
the usb at the bottom where the phone plugs into is not the best nor sturdiest
for 15 shipped, ill take it

I'm wondering if this case would be any better since there's no switch and it also has a kickstand

thats the one i got. i received it a few days ago. as i said, it works brilliantly, but its on the big side. and the front flap thing sucks so much i just had to cut it off. the button i speak of is on the back, its a light press to activate and its quite easy to press

I have it. It works really well for what it is.
I use it when I'm going to be in meetings taking notes all day. It's not my day to day case but it's great for those days when you're away from outlets and will be using the phone heavily. Although it does add some girth, its really not that bad....especially compared with the alternative being a notebook or full sized tablet.
That being said, I wouldn't pay the asking price ($100 is way too much).

example - last night, my cat thought it would be great if she unplugged my note2 from the charger. I woke with 13% left on the battery. i put my case on and walked out the door for work at 630 am. its now 720am and im at 41% and climbing. (whilst connected to my Bluetooth watch and running Pandora). By 9am i should be 90% or higher and can leave the case in the car for the rest of the day or throw it on the charger to use later tonight or when ever i should need it.

Very little effort to take in and out in my opinion. To damage it to the extent i saw in the pictures, id need hulk strength,

SafPWR Fusion 2 Case

I picked up the SafPWR Fusion 2 case today from AT&T. My usage so far hasn't been wearing the battery out, but it is an 1800ma case that goes with the original 1600. So that should be enough power to sync everything like a madman, and screen at 100%. lol
Will update after a couple of days to let you know what it is like.
can you post pics of it on your phone.. curious to see how much extra it adds to it.

Yuck... I didn't know it was that thick.
It isn't twice as thick, but it is pretty damn thick.
It is heavy, I can tell you that (with the phone). Without the phone you think, hey this isn't to heavy. LOL.
Still deciding if I am going to keep it.
I have been using this case since I bought my vivid over a month ago. It definitely adds some bulk to it, but it also does a good job protecting the Phone. It doesn't look/ feel like it would be very useful as drop protection, but I have dropped the phone multiple times on hard surfaces (I am 6'3") and the case has taken all the damage.
As for the 1800mah battery in the case, I have been less than satisfied. I almost feel that it was a typo and should have said 800mah. When my phone hits under 20% I turn the case on, if I am not using the phone at all while the case charges it, I can get it from 20, to about 80-90% before the case runs out of juice. If I am using the phone moderately while the case charges it, I am lucky to see a 30% improvement before the case goes dead 1-2 hours later.
I will say though, that if I let it charge from the case in my pocket, and do not use the phone, it DOES charge pretty fast from 20 to 80-ish percent.
If I want to use MHL, I have to remove the phone from the case, but I believe it works for data sync, etc in the case.
I plan on continuing to use this case as it hasn't let me down yet, and the extra battery life (though not 1800mah worth) is definitely a life saver.
Just my short review. Hope it helps!

I was worried about this. I am trying to figure out if I am going to keep it. I really like the way the Speck case looks, and that is what I was going to get. I ended up getting the battery case, and the one that looks like a tire with a leather back. They had the otter, but I just didn't like it. But I can never make up my mind with cases and phones lol.
Well, I just boxed it back up. I had it on the charger for like three hour and the phone wasn't fully charged and neither was the case. Case was only half charged. DO you have to charge them separately? Or can you charge both the phone and the case at the same time.
I have this case. If you let the phone and battery case die you have to charge them separately. ( the actual inst. Booklet that came with it tells you.) as far as feel the phone itself is to me a little too thin. The case feels great after the first couple days. I will say this they give you an extra top piece wherd the earphone jack goes for a reason. Mine broke the first week so be careful!

I would love to see a picture of what the phone looks like with the case on it
I would too. I recently ordered the OtterBox Defender. I think I would rather have the protection over the extra battery life though. I already had to get the phone repaired after it fell out of my pocket while I was jogging...
I got this case also, too heavy and thick for my liking. It barely made it through half a day. I can do without

I had this safpwr2 case and it is big and I maybe get only about two hours of additional.battery life out of it with heavy usaage. I.got it for $50 and it still isn't worth it imo

I just bought the Safepwr today from the Local AT&T store for $50. I love it, my inspire had the PowerSkin and this is so much better. Usualy by this time tonight, I have my phone on the charger, it is still fully charged with only half gone off the Safepwr. This alone is giving me twice the battery life.
Just fyi,
I hated the feel of the Vivid compared to the inspire, Long and very hard for me to use the keyboard, with this case it feels real good.
Initially, you have to charge the case with out the phone inserted. Mine took about 4 hours. Make sure that the phone is fully charged. It works great. The case continuously charges the phone. The phone charge icon comes on, when the phone is below full charge. I understand that it is thicker than the phone alone, but you are pretty much adding another battery.

I bought this case for my Vivid on eBay for 15$. I thought it might be a knockoff, but so far everything looks legit. I've yet to try it because this came in before the Vivid (still waiting for my phone to be delivered )
Btw I know this is an OLD topic but just wanted to add my 2 cents in case anyone else is thinking about the case. From what I've read it seems there's a specific way to use the case to get the most out of it.
Will post back for the sake of anyone interested

Inexpensive charging dock from Smartphonepedia

Just received this dock and have been using it for a couple of days.
Only $10 -- a cheap alternative so some of the 40-50$ options.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Data-Sy...531363?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3f1de5aea3
It's small, feels like a decent quality piece. It's glossy black with rubber feet on the bottom so it doesn't slide around. It keeps the Note 2 supported nicely when it's dropped in. It's got a floppy rubbery insert that you can take out if you have a case.
One con is that a few times when I've yanked my phone out, the rubber piece has either partially or completely come out. My advice would be to decide on a case of not and, if you leave the rubber insert in, put a drop of hot glue or something to keep the insert in place.
See pics below. Let me know if you have questions.

Yes, it works with a slim case for me without even taking the rubber insert out. When you take the rubber insert out, there's a good 0.5-0.75cm around it, particularly the edges. A case with a big beefy back probably would not fit.

It doesn't come with a cable -- you use your phone's provided cable or anything else, so whatever those deliver. I just have a usb-to-microusb running from my computer to it and it works fine.

Sheesh guys. Think a little more outside your own world.
I have this dock connected to my computer at work. I walk in from a meeting, drop the phone in the charger (instead of setting it down, picking up the cable, jamming it in, etc) and it's immediately mounted as a drive on my computer and is charging anytime I'm at my desk. Need to run to a meeting? You just pick it up...no fussing with cables.
Nope, no spare battery. Surprise, most people don't need one. I spend half my day working at my desk, meaning my phone is charging half the day. In fact, I don't even feel like I ever "charge". It's just sitting in its stand. I never need to plug it in at home.
Nope, no USB or HDMI. Surprise, 99% of the people that use this phone care about that, so why pay for a $100 for a dock with it (that's the wrong color, BTW).
20 bucks? Wow, they saw you coming a mile off.
It's the same dock as this, which is in black or white.

You can just plug the phone into the dock without having to pick up the charge cable and plug it into the phone. Same for removing it from the dock. Since we have to charge the phone everyday, I would say the dock has a value.

Yeah it was, but it finally made it to 100%, so i am letting my phone battery get really low then i'll use the powerskin to charge it then see how long it takes to charge the powerskin the next time.
The main reason i got the powerskin was to save my charger port, i have been paranoid that it's going to break because it feels loose when i stick my charger in sometimes.
The battery in the powerskin is a backup that i'll hardly ever need and if i keep my ritual of charging my phone while sleeping... keeping the powerskin full wont be an issue .. even with insane recharge time.
My power cord is super loose too, but if I try it with samsung/nokia cord, its perfect.
So make sure its not cord problem.
I can't wait to hear how well this case works. I can drain my battery pretty quick and this is the quickest way for me to keep this phone going. Once you get some testing done I'd love to see the results.

Well the first charge took liker 24 hours when it was full i had my phone at 35% and used the case battery to see how much it would charge my phone.... it charged my phone 40% pretty fast and then was totally dead.
The second charge didn't take 24 hours.. i think it took like 6 hours maybe ,i was asleep so i cant be sure.
So basically the battery in the case is like a backup or last resort.. I turn it on if i really need that 40% otherwise i keep the case battery off and charge my phone through the case at the end of the day.

Thats good for me because for some reason I always get to the end of the work day look at my battery and realize holy cow I've used up almost my whole battery. A quick speed charge to keep it going in case I have to stop at the store or pick up food I don't have to fear my phone dying. Normally I keep a car charger in my car but that ones in the shop, with my charger >.<. Thanks for the great info keep me posted on everything about it, I'd love to know more about it cause user reviews are better than "professional" reviews
Well like i said before i mainly got the powerskin because it plugs into the charger port and basically makes a new charger port..it saves/protects the phones charger port.
I have a 7k mah powerbank but my batterylife on cm10.3 is really good and i don't play games or surf the net or do much of anything on my phone so battery isn't an issue for me.
There are keychain powerbanks and such that probably would be better then getting the case just for a little extra power.
As for the case design and weight, it makes the phone a little heavy and bulky but about the same as the case i used to use, i stopped using a case awhile back because i love how the phone feels in my hand without a case, so light and slim, but its worth it to save my charger port.
@souljaboy It might just be my charger not fitting right in my phone anymore but i feel safer using the powerskin.
I'll check out some powerbanks as well cause I use the hell out of this poor phone of mine and I might end up needing something maybe a little stronger. Any brands you may recommend?
I bought a 7k mah powerbank off ebay for $16
You can do the maxx mod too, it seems pretty decent.

Too bad the output current is just 800 mAh, when the phone can handle 2A.

you guys do realize most of these battery/ battery case come from china right? just like MUGEN battery. For all you know they are probably from the same factory, make the battery and then just slap on the sticker and you're paying extra for it.
I like this case/battery combo. However, from the pictures it looks like the case offers absolutely no protection for the screen. It would be nice if there was at least a raised lip to keep the screen safe.
Seems like it would be extremely inconvenient to have to remove the case and charge the phone and case separately.
I've never had one of these 'charge' cases before.. Is that the normal operation?

When I had my G2 with a Zerolemon battery case it would charge the phone before the case. The only thing I didn't like a out it was a 1 amp into the case and phone, then when you click the button to charge the phone it was a 1 amp output to the phone. So you really can't use the phone and charge at the same time. like you can when you use a wall charger, other than that it was ok and the bulk didn't bother me at all. I have 3 friends that have Mophie cases ( HTC One m7, galaxy s4 and a iPhone 5) they like the cases, I just hope they make one for the M8 I'd love to buy one.

Awesome! Doesn't look to bad. This phone doesn't need it so much as my nexus 5 did but still awesome to have this option

I know this is a dead thread but whatever. I am picking up the case tomorrow. Really excited hopefully this will be better than zerolemon case for nexus 5. I will review this when I get a chance

Just got the case today so far it seems really nice. It does add some bulk and to some might seem as a brick. Coming from Nexus 5 zero lemon this is "thin" for me.
The case looks nice and despite it's plastic feels more premium than I expected. Maybe it has more to do with the weight than the material.
Protection wise I am a little nervous. The edges appear to be protected but the edges are exposed leading me to believe that it's more prone to damage such as cracks and dings. I expect the aluminum on the edges to be dinged up using this case.
Charging wise this thing is nice. It came with with 3 charging lights indicating it was roughly .75% charged. It died after 2 hours however left me with an almost completely charged phone. Mind you I was charging with GPS and screen on. On the zerolemon battery would drain(not charge if I were use GPS and screen on even if battery was charged. The insctructions state that you can charge both phone and battery. The phone would charge phone first and then battery. On the zerolemon it charges both at a a god awful snails pace.
One huge benefit of this case is how easy it is to install, just slides right in. So if your like me and clumsy you can put on the case as needed and use you other case as needed.
Packaging was also nice, It looked similar to how the m8 came in a box except instead of cardboard came in plastic. Will upload pictures and give a more detailed review after I had it for a few days.
All in all after owning it for a few hours I can say I recommend this case

Looks identical.
I had ordered one as well and had issues with it not holding a charge and only charging about 20% with what it did have. Contacted seller for a replacement, which they never requested the original back(wierd), and the replacement had the exact same problem. Returning them and waiting for an official case to come out.
So far have had nothing but positive experience. I am wondering if these are the same product I bought from mobile fun. If have issues I will report. So far is my only complaint is lack of protection. It charges surprisingly fast when charging it says it's charging AC in the battery stats. Fits like a glove and easy to take out and put back in

The review for the last one is not the same as the one I ordered for instance it doesn't have lightning night nor do I think they carry a white case. The other 2 look identical

Stand corrected their is a white case on mobile fun however mobile fun list it as power jacket not lightening jacket.

OFFGRID™ BATTERY CASE By Incipio

Hi
Has anyone got this case? Would you recommend it? I am thinking of purchasing but I am from the UK so I don't know if they will ship it here.
I want one for the extra storage and battery juice.
Specifications
Thermal Optimization
Our circuitry has been optimized to maintain and operate within a reasonable temperature range.
Overcharge Protection
The offGRID Battery Case efficiently tracks when the Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge is fully charged and shuts off to preserve battery.
Output Over-Voltage Protection
We track the voltage output from the offGRID™ Case to protect your Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge from exceeding its limit.
Fast Charge Pass-Through Circuitry
Specially designed circuitry allowing for automatic charging speed selection between fast charging and traditional charging power sources.
Current Limit Protection
We’ve implemented a monitoring system that measures the output of the offGRID Case's current with the power to automatically turn off should it pass maximum levels.
Near Field Communication Pass-Through
The offGRID Case utilizes a premium high-sensitivity NFC coil to transmit NFC signals around the internal battery and maintain NFC and contactless payment support.

Hey. Just picked one of these up last week. It's a nice case. Works well, gives the phone a little heft that you appreciate but not right away. Having the sd card in the case has been a convenience for me. Battery life hasn't been too bad, I'm still getting used to it.
One thing I'd like to see changed is that the recess the phone sits in be a little deeper so it covers the bottom bezel completely and the top of the bumper part have a guard on it, like the Unicorn Beetle case I do have.
I think it's worth it, otherwise I'd never get something this pricey, believe me.

Hi,
I have this case .It is nice ,protective and a bit bulky .I guess the addition of memory gives it a great edge over other batteries but you have to select either memory or battery ,so both cant be used at the same time .Also it does not support wireless charging but can be charged while charging the phone .
hope this helps.
Thanks for the review and feedback I am thinking of getting one.
I just got mine.. put it on and I can't get the power button to line up at all.. could it be because I have the Skinomi Tech Glass protector on? Think it would add just enough thickness to now allow this to align? The volume up/down buttons work fine.. Just can't get anything on this power button.
I wanted to try this out as well. I love the fact that the NFC works through the case. I want to test that out for myself. I am curious if the Loopay/Samsung pay will work through the case as well.
I'm just having a hell of a time with the power button... It's odd, maybe the way I'm putting the Edge bumper on? If I put the bumper on without the batter/back attached it aligns perfectly and clicks the power button like it should.. the second I attach the battery/back, snapped in place.. it barely touches it.. So infuriating!! I spent $73 on this and it's pissing me off!!! LoL But I want the added battery life!! And storage..
Looks interesting, but @ $90 I'd want to hear more feedback from others to make sure its worth it
Thats how I feel as well. I want to make sure im not just tossing out my $90 on something that promises and doesn't deliver..
I fixed my power button issue.. I added some foam (very thin) to the existing bumper on the inside of the case.. in my opinion, it's just not able to reach, at least in my case.. but I did get to use it, and it charged my phone from 2% to 100% in about an hour.. Drained it, but it worked!!

Something else I've noticed.. and this could be a number of things.. rooted, a rom I'm using, etc. But, sometimes if I'm charging using the backup battery it will flicker and show notifications that the "dock is connected" over and over and my 4G LTE switchs to 3G.. I have NO idea what this is about lol..
I'm hearing rumors that the case won't charge itself, after the phone is fully charged already?
For example if I plugged my phone in with the case on at night before bed, and then woke up the next morning, the phone AND the case should be fully charged, right? I've seen a few reviews saying that while the phone will be fully charged, the case won't be.
Can anyone confirm?
Hey
What I've been noticing is that this case doesn't last as long as it should. If your switch is in battery but not on, should it be using power? Mine does.
For an example, this past weekend I was heading to the cottage. Phone battery full, case battery full. Turned on bluetooth, had Maps going and a mobile hotspot for my kids' ipad. 3 and a half hours later the phone said 15% so I turned on the case to charge it. It charged for half an hour then wouldn't work at all, just the "Dock is connected" thing. Couldn't get anymore juice out of it. I'm not getting this whole concept of it and not very impressed with it. Even putting it in storage mode, there was nothing.
Does this make any sense?

I confirm that after the case battery is fully charged it won't switch back to charging the phone. I also had an issue with the usb cable falling off. At the end the case was return.

I'm testing tomorrow for signal issues.. I'll be removing the case.. seeing if that is the cause.. if so I will report back and also return this thing... The battery does charge as it should, doesn't seem to last as long now as it did the first time I did a full charge.. But who knows.. use could impact that of course.. but.. ~ANYONE~ have or notice signal issues??

"Dock is connected" I'm not sure what that means or what the issue is.. is it Samsung? The case 'brains'? I've noticed this a lot when the batter of the backup is low or dead..
Well I've made it official.. This case is interfering BIG time with signal... especially with calls.. If I try to make a call with the case off, instant connect.. if case is on, dial same number.. and it barely connects and switches to 1x instead of the 4G high def audio calling.. She's going back! Going to try an exchange first .....
Haven't noticed any signal issues as of yet. Going to try doing a full test and see how that goes. I think for now, I'm just going to keep the case off and use my other one until I need it.
For me, I'm thinking the case shouldn't use power if it's just connected and not doing anything in battery mode. I can understand if it's in storage mode but it doesn't last as long as it should in only battery mode. I'll be messaging Incipio about this issue.

ugh.. sounds more like this case was more of a 'nice try'. and i have one on the way.

So, I sent my phone in for warranty work.. they updated something, signals are fine... While that happened I did an RMA claim on my Incipio case and got a new one.. Signals seem fine, but now my SD card is constantly unmounting.. I'm about to give up on this case..
just got mine. I was about to ask when the case is supposed to kick in. I thought I read somewhere online at first that it somehow automatically kicks in when phone battery is low. so I wondered if holding the status checker would do anything, and voila!
I could be wrong (because my phones tend to have not-so-good reception here at home even though the tower is just down the street, but I think I'm dropping a bar with this case on.
