Hey , everyone.. Compact V 1.0 is here..
Well, its still a stock rom which desnt have bloatwares and has some other app which are basic and has better functions than stock.. anyway.. try it out.. and hope you like it.. next update will get it new things.. like lidroid bar etc.. but i am not sure how much time it might take.. please let us know your opinion about this stock rom and that will help in shaping the future of this rom..
I tested this on my y duos.. so i know it works..
Current Features:

5. Bloatwares removed and added these apps: Holo launcher, clean music, Gallery ICS, DSP manager, ES File Explorer
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Copy these files inside SDCard.. CompactV1.0.zip (rom), CWM-6102.zip (ClockWorkMod Recovery tool)
Note: Don't keep these files inside any "FOLDERS".. Just copy it to SDCard root (parent) folder..
Switch off your mobile.
After a small vibration (switch off confirmation) PRESS and HOLD 3 BUTTONS (VOLUME UP+HOME BUTTON+POWER BUTTON)
when samsung galaxy logo appears, release the 3 pressed keys..
After few seconds.. You will see Android system recovery (red text with 4 options lines)..
Select "apply update from sdcard"
Note: (Volume up+down for "scrolling" through options or selection of files, home button for "select" any option.. in CWM only: power button for "back" option)
Then Select "CWM-6102.zip".
ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.6 is loaded now.
Wipe data and cache..
Mount system and data in mount options in cwm
Select "install zip from sdcard"
Select "choose zip from sdcard"
Scroll and Select "CompactV1.0.zip" and select "Yes"
Wait till the menu appears again.. Now go back..
Select "Reboot system now" and you have successfully installed Compact Rom.
Note: rom is based on stock XXLF2 firmware version.

First of all, yes you can include my kernel.. no problems about it.. and i think by the time rom gets released my kernel version might go above 1.2.5..
anyway back on topic.. i will help whenever you need me.. and you can PM me in xda as i am here most of the time.. but currently my semester exams are coming up and gate exams too.. so have to start preparing soon.. so i will have less time.. but will gladly support whenever possible..
suggestions: keep the rom as small a size as possible..
dont resign the /system/app/ of 3rd party apps... this will make the apps unable to update from play store..
and the compact name fits it well then.. as i was planning to name it to my rom for duos.. and as you said to me in irc we can use compact name for rom..
so i will sign in.. but my help will be not big as my net issues are there to consider too lol..

you can also try swap
I am using Titanium Back up Pro. And in that apps2sd feature. And its working good. But after many application installed like tango, what's app and others it will install some data in internal memory also.
Therefore less free mb is available in internal memory.
And I think same situation while using Link2sd.

Actually yes..
some app need to be on internal memory..
and linking data using link2sd or similar doesnt help much..
i dont think you can do anything about it..
but again, i am not the expert.
as far as i know, this is similar to android-widget-sdcard issue..
PS:- can someone please give a nandroid backup for ROMS?

If you want some removed apps back edit my paysscript.sh script in the zip file.
You just have to remove the lines of the apps you want to keep.
And if you want to remove even more apps feel free to add some lines more to it. You don't have to sign it
Don't try to set up a Facebook account or other SNS accounts, I removed that because there are much better clients, but still shows the option in the Setup Wizard, simply skip there. If you want to use SNS, just delete the SNS lines in paysscript.sh.
If a app FCs first check if you wiped correctly, second option go into the settings manager -> application -> and delete data of that app, try again.
If there is still a error please report.

You can go to step 4 if you already flashed a fresh 10b open, rooted and installed clockwork recovery or have Pays-ROM v1.0 or higher.
You should know this before: How to Flash
1.) If you come from any other firmware or ROM be sure to flash the v10b LG Europe Open firmware, and do a system restore afterwards.
2.) Enable ADB in the settings and root your device with GingerBreak
3.) Install Clockwork Recovery for Optimus Black
4.) Put the ROM.zip to your SD Root and boot into clockwork recovery (e.g. using Anreboot)
5.) Fully wipe your phone in the recovery mode (wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, wipe battery stats)
6.) Flash the ZIP + reboot and enjoy
7.) If you like it donate (even 1 dollars are welcome)!

I agree and by the way, you're welcome for using the init.d scripts on Nova. Which by the way, are broken and are not working. Unfortunately I forgot a detail and they aren't active. I'll fix it in Nova soon. You can't also use the mount one because your ROM isn't ext4. But it was a good effort anyway.

By the way I don't use the ext4 mount you use
With the init.d scripts I know that they do not much atm, but I let them in for future editing else I will forget them.
They don't affect the ROM and thats why I didn't mentioned them yet in the features above.
I did not took so a close look at Nova but I saw you mentioned that you are working on a custom kernel.
Is there any progress?

You can try to flash directly, but do a wipe before, maybe you have to do a factory reset from the menu after flashing, too.
But this is the dirty way, tell me if this works for you.
I only guarantee for the clean and right way .
So when I flashed Nova, it was the “dirty“ way too ? Lol.

One small problem it seams that I can not connect to wireless network. (I come directly from Nova 1- clear cache, data and hard reset after reboot)
How can I get read of the player from notification bar?

Thanks for mirror. I couldn't connect to wifi neither (Error when activating), so I tried flashing the experimental kernel from NOVA (Noejn). Wifi works great now, although I don't know the bad side of having this kernel.

Nova kernel is still very experimental.
Like I said, when I have more time I'll start from scratch and work on it properly.

After these first 2 that i did, Darkorn has very nicely got one that works. Credit is due to this man for the work he has done.

This CM7 is from the marvel, so it is unofficial for us.
Its very stable and very fast.
You will see by the screenshot that it has root, ability to have large internal memory.
So what don't work
Front camera, now i have an idea why this is and will work on this in due course.
The FB Button, sorry guys, till further notice it remains as the menu button. i can provide an option to change this, but its a pain if you get it wrong.
Bluetooth. Deatviated till further testing.
WiFi Hotspot/Tethering. Deactivated
If it feels sluggish use your sd-booster app to speed it up and use the the cyanogen option for cpu. be careful plying with it.
GPS, Reactivated and fully working.
Working
WiFi works!
back Camera works i played with video option and it seems fine.
If you have issues with this, please use another Camera app from the market till we can sort this out
We have scalable Govoners to use in CPU options. SmartassV2 is functional No OC though.

Simple, like any other rom we have.
Don't cheat, you really must wipe all 3 (Data/Cache/Dalvik) or you will seriously mess it up.

the below just need flashing like normal, do not wipe anything when flashing GAPPS/Data2sd.

When flashing this CM7 Rom, follow the instructions for the main rom.
You can now flash Gapps/and data2sd files before the first boot thus saving time.
As a safety precaution try wipe everything twice before flashing CM7.

As it has been mentioned to me, after flashing this new version rom, things are failing to work.
This is down to 1 thing only. a bad wipe, either you cheated or the phone didn't wipe it correctly.
PLEASE wipe in sequence and wipe all 3, if in doubt do it again.

Deactivated GPS/Bluetooth due to battery drain. as with other Cm's on other handsets...give it time.

Lol...i knew that, even better with more notification widgets option. For the FB button i prefer going like this than d original function.
Right now, I'm using custom theme but every time I rebooting i must reselect theme to makes it work again. Is this an issue or only incompatible theme?? Btw, i only used mdpi cm7 theme

It's just disabled in kernel, I don't see any advantage of using ext4, but if it is a demanded feature I will build a new kernel with ext4 support.
I'd like to fix Bluetooth and Front Camera first, sensors should work now (in a new rom that's not available atm).

How To install :
Code:
1. Download Rom zip file & Copy into SD Card.
2. Reboot in to Recovery
3. Wipe data/factory reset
4. wipe cache partition
5. Go into mounts & storage
6. format system
7. format sd-ext
8. Go back & go into Advanced
9. Wipe Dalvik Cache
10. Go back & install zip from sdcard
11. choose zip from sdcard & select Downloaded rom (LewaOS-PRO-12.03.16.zip)
12. Wait while installing rom (it will take 5min)
13. Go back & reboot system now
14. Now you ready to go... ENJOY..
Hotfix1 : Download zip file from attachment and flash via recovery
by applying this patch LEDkeyboard problem will be solved and HW keyboard map will be set as default Latin QWERTY
after applying this patch an application called "Keyboard LED will be add to your applications . open it and enable :"autostart","enable"

But i found Titanium back'up not work properly... can't restore multiple from batch progres. Restore must be one by one
And walkman GB can't instal to this rom, maybe you have link walkman for you rom.

I installed this ROM and it is very fast.
but I have to check battery life because CM 7.2 has battery issues.
I was able to batch restore my apps through titanium backup.

Titanium Backup works properly
make sure you use paid version !
in the titanium backup's setting looking for " app processing mode " and use " indirect method "
me myself usually dont use walkman i use poweramp and its great
you can install beats audio and dsp manager by flashing this file :

1. When I try to swipe away a notification... It opens it instead...

Installation: Ensure that you are already on rooted phone with CWM recovery and use safe kernel (i am using philz)
1. download SlimWizz rom and xplose framework along with xposed app setting module. place these files on sdcard
2. boot in recovery
3. cleanup for new rom flash by formatting system, preload, data, cache(s) (I use philz settings menu)
4. install rom by installing SlimWizz Rom zip
5. post flash please enable unknown sources from sdcard in settings
6. install xposed framework and xposed app settings module
7. activate & configure xposed framework and app settings module, proceed for reboot
8. using xposed app setting configure contacts,mms email and splanner as 177DPI with 800x1280 resolution and enable TabletUI (refer screenshot no 4)
9. depending on your preferences you may keep certain appz at 320 DPI. (I prefer camera, seclauncher2, root explorer and xposed app settings programs at 320 DPI)
10. install any other apps if you want and enjoy SlimWizz stretched to tabletUI

I think you should write what kernel comes with the rom(mem cap erase removed?), and write what is exactly removed.. does it contain gapps? that way people will be less scared to flash this rom..
For me it has great potential.. and would love a 240dpi light rom as a daily driver...

I think I've found a problem, when I got to add a google account, it shows it syncs with picasa, but doesn't show/sync contacts, calendar and gmail. I can login ok to market place ok.

This rom is fast. Since this does not sync with my google contacts, I need to install my contacts from a vcf file. It does but up to only about 230 contacts. Ihavea bout 700 contacts to restore. Is this a limitation or how do I go about restoring all my contacts.
@ferryaryan, No issues here. In fact before reboot install script is designed to add su if you noticed.

I never sync my contacts to Google hence removed all google sync stuff, just missed to remove that favourites synching utility. Personally, i prefer a very handy app called supersmsbackup. Try it. It worth and free too.

Do not panic if this didn't work the first time...several users have reported a couple of attempts when doing this.

Flash the GAPPS
Reboot. it will take sometime to install and boot up...
Check you space on full boot up, if it shows then your ready to go! If not repeat INT2EXT4 precess again

gps didn't work for me. will try again
having some issues with proximity sensors.

Uhm, Kernel is fine I think, it's something in the rom that has problem.
Anyone check out how much the battery last with this rom? With CM7 after one day it was 50%, with this 20%.

Script working properly on cm7 based rom...its just the bluetooth which needs to be fixed (perhaps in both cm7 & 10) but I am not complaining !!

These guys are the brains....they built this.
All i do is test & and whatever the guys need done!
This will have its problems as this is a [WIP] Work in progress.
Please do not come to us saying this or that don't work or i want this or i want that etc. you get what is available! Simple.
I would only recommend this to experienced users or developers to play with, others can use this at there own risk!
Currently this has the following working.
WIFi
3g Data
USB Works
Some sensors & Multitouch.
Has smartassV2 enabled
NOT WORKING
GPS (says its active but does not work)
Bluetooth
Accelerometer .
Camera
Please don't ask for them to be fixed in the next version or when can u do it etc....the more you ask the longer it takes!
There is no data2sd there is another way for this rom!

-Mounts /sd-ext to /data
-Works with EXT 4 filesystem
-ZipAligns /data/app on every boot
-No symlinks

to install the above follow this exactly ( failure will result in serious cockups!)
Install:
(Instructions based on ClockWorkMod recovery)
-Download Chosen Script Below
-Place on root of your sdcard
-Reboot Recovery
-Select "install zip from sdcard"
-Select "choose zip from sdcard"
-Select "CronMod-****_signed"
-Select "mounts and storage" category
-Select "format /sd-ext"
-Reboot

Installation is simple.
Triple wipe x2
Flash the rom
Flash the GAPPS
Flash the INT2EXT4 (follow the extra rules on this as i listed above)
Reboot. it will take sometime to install and boot up...
Check you space on full boot up, if it shows then your ready to go! If not repeat INT2EXT4 precess again

I any users experience lag of any sort, use a CPU profile. Setcpu or CPU Master will really help this out.

Tried it. Rom got installed fine with Gapps. but even after installing the script internal memory has not changed. Tried the same script with CM7. it worked fine. repeated the script thing 3 times with CM10. memory is same 150MB.
Not working for me with CM10. should i change the partition of the memory card to EXT4 before running the script?

Did you wipe the sd-ext after flashing the script before reboot?
Don't try ext4 as ibdont know if the kkernel will take it.
If u did wipe the sd-ext then its possible you did something else wrong as it worked everytime for me if the instructions were followed.

Used the CM10. few things that i found that needs ur concern.
1. Widgets do not use complete screen size. May be it is still using only wildfire screen size. Icons in the home screen hence are bigger.
2. Gtalk is missing from gapps. I understand you had removed it to reduce the size.. will help if u can include it back. We use it a lot.
3. camera and gallery not working. No problem take your time for both of them. Ready to wait.
4. Please make the int2EXT4 work for me

Axitvate the widget resixze in settings launcher. Its there I found it because I wanted to resize to. The int2ext does work, only you can make it work. Keep fiddling or reformat ext3in partition wizard. Gallery does work. Camera is faulty due to lib files.
For now cut gtalk from a jb galls and paste into system folder and reset permissions to match other system apps. Ill sort gapps later when back from work.

I installed the script with ext3 formatted partition and it worked. It is neccesary to follow the steps. Maybe extracting the gtalk.apk would help for you.

The same issues INT2EXT4 script doesn't work for me too, tried it 3 times doing the process still stuck at 150MB, I checked int.d folder the script is there but no execution

Edit2- If anyone can help please help me get INT2EXT4 script working.
I tried reformatting, making it EXT3 primary drive and other FAT32 primary.
Then I flashed the script and formatted SD-EXT under mounts and storage.
Tried with 2 cards both still showing the same 150MB internal
Could anyone give any clearer instructions than that.
Edit3- Using Link2sd on EXT3
