Bootanimation - Samsung Galaxy Mini

In my other phone i could change the bootanimation by just simply swap the bootanimation.zip, but i forgot where it was located and i dont know if i can do the same the mini.
So my question is. Where is the bootanimation file located and can i just swap it with an other one?

you cannot just swap the animation you need to do some steps before
1. from /system/bin remove samsungani
2. in /system/bin/rename bootanimation to samsungani
3. copy your bootanimation in /system/bin

How to put sound on boot animation? [Solved]

Hi all
I'm using transformers boot animation & now I want to put a sound clip beside it...
What should it's name be in system/media?
And should it be a special format?
Sent from my X8 using xda premium
Should be named "android_audio.mp3" in the same directory as bootanimation. /system/media
Tnx man.... it worked & it IS HOT!

??
This didn't work for me. Did you do anything special to the mp3 to get it to work? To be clear, I put it in the same location as bootanimation.zip (system/media) and renamed the mp3 file android_audio.mp3 (Galaxy Nexus)

New Cyanogenmod 9 CID Boot Animation

I have not seen this posted anywhere on here, but just in case anyone wants the new CID boot animation, you can download it here as it was recently released. Full credit goes to it's creator 73v1n;
Download URL as found on youtube;
https://rapidshare.com/files/2113393353/CM9ZipSavesV2.zip
http://www.mediafire.com/?wszii05t5ld13xt
http://www.4shared.com/zip/Ynjjiwom/CM9ZipSavesV2.html
Directions for those who don't know how to apply it just in case;
1. Download file, extract the "Vertical" folder from the zip.
2. Extract "bootanimation.zip" file from the "480x800" folder per our Samsung Epic 4G resolution, as you can see, there's many other resolution types for other phones.
3. Copy the bootanimation.zip file to your SD card.
4. I used Root Explorer to copy/push it by locating bootanimation.zip in directory; system/media. I'm on CM9 Beta4, file location may differ based on rom if I'm not mistaken. (Mount R/W to R/O, rename original bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak just in case, copy the new bootanimation.zip to the same directory.)
5. Set proper permissions(hard press file/select permissions) on the new file you just copied as "RW-R--R--" or view the permissions of the original bootanimation first and follow suit.
6. Exit Root Explorer and restart your phone to see that you have the new boot animation, enjoy.
sweet.............thanx man

[Q] How to change bootanimation?

How can bootanimation be changed on S3 mini? It seems good old method of moving custom bootanimation.zip file to system/media or data/local folders does not work.
I tried to disable bootsamsung.qmg and boosamsungloop.qmg adding ".old" to their name but it didn't help.
Any suggestion or working method?
I have the Galaxy Ace S5830i and Im also looking for some working methods. I read once you had to change bootsamsung.zip(the one you want, downloaded) to sanim.zip and delete bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg
Try that. Dont know if its gonna work. Didnt work on my phone

EDIT: ADDED
Do they work on stock sense rom? I mean, i once replaced the calculator from system/app. After the replacement, it did not detect the apk, not even the original (backuped) apk. So i had to system restore. Can you tell me definite steps for putting the animations? + i dont have any existing anim folder, so do i just copy in it?
