Is there somewhere an oldfashioned, sharp-tiped and accurate stylus available? I use D3 to do quite a lot of sketching (Autodesk Sketchbook) and so forth I am disappointed with styli I bought so forth... that fluffy blob cannot be mistaken for the TIP
Sadly you want the Samsung note, but it doesn't seem to have carrier support.

If the stylus is capacitive, it should work.

I've been drooling over the Note for a couple weeks now. Almost 100% sure that the device contains a digitizer in the screen which means it's not your run of the mill capacitive stylus.

Are you sure? Why do you think so?
I believe the note works on the same principals of the htc flyer which uses a digitizer and then has apps written to specifically use it.

Yeah, I was in that mindset too for a couple of weeks. Kept checking prices, looking at selling my Droid 3, how much that would cover the ETF and was looking at Straight Talk ($45/month). But now, I think I'm going to hold off at least until February/March. By then hopefully the Galaxy Nexus will be cheaper off-contract and I'll get one of them.
So anyone have a capacitative stylus recommendation?

All of the ones that I've seen have the rounded bubble tip which makes for extremely awkward writing.
on the internet, there are plenty of how-to´s on this subject - try them out, maybe you find somethig less awkward...
Apparently there are some leatherette replacement bands for the Gear in addition to the original 5-6 colors. My friend says a local ATT store has them on display and they go for between $30-$50 dollars. Apparently you take off the 2 screws on each side and replace the band. Did a google/YouTube/Samsung search but could not find anything. He will get pixs and I will post on Sat when I see him.
Just wondering but still looking for yellow or orange Gear to exchange my mocha one for.

I don't think so, he works for ATT and has a Note 3 and is getting a Gear with those bands.

The strap in an integral part of the watch and not consumer replaceable. This is due to the camera also the speaker both being housed on the strap. The cost would be prohibitive taking into account labour cost, new strap and transport fees IF, and it is a massive if, the consumer could do that it would, without fail, void the warranty.
The guy forgot to take the pics so I will go sometime this week and look at them.

I have confirmed the band's are not interchangable as a certified technician it would be a task. The screws remove the face and a gasket seals the frame and has a thin cable into the body of the watch. I stopped about halfway for risk of damaging the watch. So I call BS here.

Just got the flex. Came from Verizon G2. The screen is huge but easy to hold. The curve makes a big difference. Will know more after a few days.. but def better than the note 2.

Did you search at all? I'm thinking if you get the Flex, you'll make a thread saying I just got my brand new Flex. :laugh: These types of threads just clog up the forum.

Hey no big deal. I did it with a case thread. It happens. I'm a phone junkie. I had used the Note 2 for a year which is a long time for me. Think I went to S4 then G2 and now the Flex. The main things that sold me with the Flex is the design and battery life. It's different and I just like looking at it. lol

Yes i remember seeing it in a video review the top of the pen will not fit past the clicker so no, you cant slide it in incorrectly like the note 5 could
