Well.. I got a ebay coupon with it. 7% off in Ebay. so I am getting it almost for 25000 (16 GB).
You can bargain with your local retailer when it is available for that much or even lower once it is available.
To speak the truth 350 USD is almost 19000 INR so with the local taxes here being high we can get it for 25000 and it will be a great deal.
Still lower the better.
Yep! 25k for such a high specs device is a great deal..
But I really do hope that it don't go beyond that! Since Indian markets have a habit of selling the flagship devices over 30k!

hmm.. but let's hope that this is going to break the price point.. if you really see the N8 (Bad comparision I know..) the flagship of Nokia was sold for 25?? well.. let's hope we are going back there.. but again depreciation.. but this is a real deal for such a pricing..
The only thing that bothers me is the back panel.. Which is totally glass!
I do have habit of dropping my phone sometimes.. And if I drop nexus, all over!

I normally wouldn't do this, but this time it happened to a dear personal friend of mine.
This guy (Jakeypoo) is selling lots of ATT Tilts over at HowardForums and even here on this forums, but instead once paid, he's actually sending el-cheap-o Nokias and worst case a BROKEN CANDLE! (see post #56)
Please be careful when dealing with this guy!

The HoFo thread has been reopened but locked.
UPDATE #2:
The HoFo Mods have contacted me and explained the deleted thread issue (in fact it was not deleted, it was hidden and then relocated to the correct section). The Mods at HoFo are working on this case and issued a temporary ban on Jakeypoo which could eventually turn into a permanent ban!

Did your friend pay via Paypal? If so, he could put a claim. Find someone else who was robbed from this guy and include that persons name and email address in the claim. That way paypal will take your word if many people come forward and complain. I'm guessing since he was scamming people he didn't use paypal. Hope that helps somewhat.

The Thief is among us?! I saw this thread but it looked fishy to me so I didn't buy it. I wouldn't buy anything unless it was through Paypal. If you buy something from someone make sure you pay through PAYPAL. Ask for a tracking number so you can see if it was actually sent.

I would be very careful about who you are possibly disparaging. AFAIK cuboosh is a long-standing member of xda-developers and a solid reputable and helpful member.

Dude that was the first thing i said. im not looking to blame anyone, but the emails are the same and thats a red flag to me. i never said he was a thief. i simply pointed out some similarities. with that being said, its an issue that both parties need to work on and its sad thing to say but if its not resolve there will always be an ugly stain on the seller.
im also aware that he is a long standing member of xda. you should read the thread, and you will find out two people received nokia cellphones.

I am Neo001 , pleased to meet you , and dude let me tell you this , I will gladly post all of the emails (well there is not that many mails) that I received from this dude , and yeap he is a thief , he has openly accepted that he sent me a Nokia 2610 when I paid for an AT & T Tilt !! just take a look at this last page of the thread I made in HoFo . . . and judge for yourself (specially post #82) :

He is a member here too? Don't you have his mailing address? or at least get his mailing address from others he sent phones too. Once you receive the mailing address contact local police with the information you have from emails, proof of the sale, and his response over at hofo. If he charged you more than $250, it should be a felony.
However, I on the otherhand am not a rat. I would handle this matter differently which wouldn't be appropriate to say here.
i also got robbed by this guy. would post emails if needed. was gining him the chance to make right, and he never did. then i saw neos thread and flipped out.
Wow. That sucks. Kind of ruins a chance for a honest seller to make a sale on here. That's just wrong.
Yeah I would look up state laws and see if it is actually a felony. Report his ass. Just hope he didn't deactivate that email address.

Recently I purchased a $15 Prepaid MasterCard not knowing there was a $20 minimum top-up. I am wondering if there is any way to add less than $20 to my Google Wallet. Also, the "Other" option to add money does not work. ANY suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you so much in advance!

The little policy thing they want you to read before you accept and use it declares that the prepaid can only be loaded with a minimum of 20. And the other is over 20 like 25, but the least you can put is 20. Google locked up security with the app so hackers can't steal money from them. Your only option is to buy a new prepaid card, VanillaVisa has 4.95 fee and i think walmart has 3.00 fee. Or you just going to have to swipe until you get more money. Maybe buy some nfc tags online and programming to do cool stuff. Your coolness factor for checking out at stores is going to go down, but most people seen this now so its not going to be as great as when the nexus first had it.

Thanks for the reply, do I'm pretty much doomed with my prepaid card...great gonna try and find another use for it. Thanks for the reply anyway! Plus, where I live in Canada, I'm one of the very few maybe even only one around here to have a Nexus and Google Wallet so my coolness factor's still up in the clouds

No problem. Canada's coolness seems to be a bit behind. Just next time remember to check before you buy prepaid cards. I ran into alot of mistakes with those things.

1) Are you rooted?
2) Do you have a device that has NFC (aka a compatible device)?
3) Did you put the modded APK in both locations as mentioned in the video?
4) Did you set the correct permissions as mentioned in the video?
5) Did you reboot after doing everything?

Never mind. I had to defrost in Titanium Backup...duh...lol. It's automatically frozen like Google Sound Search.

You know my guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1810282 will help you out, the links have been updated too for the latest Google Wallet and indeed yes it does help us Canadians A LOT the video of that guide has also been updated (links, etc.). The method of installation, however, remains the same, just replace the new APK with the old one. Check my guide above for more details. Best of luck to you, my friend!

So i got a Nexus 7 so i'm kinda leaving these forums (Like you care ) Now, for "the words on my mind", the Android Development section in here is really messy, full of "WinZip" roms and a little tweaking, and don't get that angry about this post, if you would think about this, you would agree with me I know they are starting, and they are beginners but c'mon look at TheWhisp He started to learn by not posting any "WinZip" roms and just researched a lot and where did it get him? Being an awesome dev that's where it got him. Think about things that i said in here. And i hope you all farewell

that's absolutely right! everyone can do it, but there's no reason to post those frankensteins here... i was doing the same, put some tweaks and apps to cm7, change few graphics in framework and systemui to my likings, center the clock, but i never posted anything like that because it's pointless...

Yup, that's true. About 90% of stuff in dev thread is nothing but just themed crap which everyone can do yourself. Even I did some experiments and learning stuff but that's no reason for me to post some crap and say " This is my first ROM. I am learning right now. I added this ............ crap. Hope you like it. ...........................PRESS THE THANKS BUTTON."
Seriously I don't know what they get from this. I remember some guy recently posted Lunar UI ROM. (Totally useless. Just you need to add a theme and icon pack and you are done). No offence but that is really not worth saying custom ROM.

Maybe, this is the reason we got an "Original Android Development section". No cooked ROMS or ports are allowed there. Its all about "Build from source"
Yep, that's why XDA made the Original Development forums, but that wouldn't have been necessary if there were A LOT less of those "WinZip" roms, or even if there were none.

Hahaha! And he called his tutorial "dev" lol but there's nothing about developing in there
The development of Mini is rapidly dying now. The only good dev left doing real development is TheWhisp. Pretty soon the dev section will be dead.

that's not correct I was eagerly waiting for his tut
because i have a karbonn smart tab 1 which is having 0% development so I wanted to do some tweaking in the framework but now I don't think its possible
and yeah I agree posting roms with some tweaks in dev section is wrong

There are pro's and con's of this guide, good thing is it will help some new users to understand how android works and give them some starting point, the bad thing happened some time ago and it's those winzip roms with no significant changes

Yep, as soon as my contract ends I'm getting rid of this piece of crap and getting a better phone. Not only is Galaxy Mini a crap phone, but the dev section is full of crap too. All the good devs have left because they've got better phones now.

Having had my fair share of issues with this phone, i've now found out that when i try to unlock the phones bootloader that I can't do it.
Went to the unlock bootloader page and tried it even though the phone said NO to unlock and it failed.
Does anyone know of a way around this?
Seriously had enough of this phone now, really annoying me, doesn't seem to be a lot of people with this issue either.

I feel your frustration as I cannot unlock my c6906 either. To bad carriers opted to have this done. I didn't have the funds to straight out buy from Sony so I went the upgrade route from my carrier and paid $99 instead of the full $700 cdn.
Damn it! I'm on the same boat then.

Im with EE too and have the same issue. Im not fussed anymore, im selling the phone and will be getting the note 3. This phones the first phone ive had, in a while, that I havent flashed roms/kernels with. Shame on Sony/EE for messing it up.

I've had my t-mobile/ee phones from phones4u and carphone warehouse. If you go through them, rarely are bootloaders/sims etc locked.
Just a hint for the future
That's why i never a phone from Provider
1. Bootloader 5h1t
2. not really somehow cheaper, as my home city is Hong Kong, can buy cheaper phone then provider easilly, especially for parallel version
3. ok, i know most of u are not from HK, buy it from Amazon or Ebay, ask the seller if the BL is unlockable.

I understand what you mean and I will never be doing that again, the reason i went with EE was because the insurance is way better than anywhere else, i'm a long standing Orange customer and their customer services for me have been top notch, I get 40% off my line (retail discount)
Could have went to CPW but didn't as they didn't have the deal i wanted, plus the insurance.
Will never make this mistake again but it is an absolute first for me, all my phones have always been from orange / tmobile / vodafone, never had an issue with the bootloader being locked down like that, damn them for it.
Will be going with O2 and probably the HTC m8 when it surfaces.
Won't putting different firmware on it solve this? Or is it put on the handset a different way?

I am losing my will to live here currently.
I apologise, but if you stick around a few days and read some threads you will see it was justified. It has been an Xperia issue for over 2 years. So there is LOTS of info about this if you just google it.

Keep trying, its a journey
One I have enjoyed, but I needed a few kicks in my arse to get on the right track,
You need to read, learn and try for yourself.... That way we all gain from the experience, instead of just handing out "updates" this is about modding and doing it yourself.

I do get that- and I am reading around a lot...but I've only just got up on XDA and haven't really done a lot re:bootloaders before and it was close to xmas And with work I just haven't had the time. Next time just point me in the right direction and say "No, it doesn't work liek that - read this" or "look up this" instead haha. Either way, if you celebrate xmas have a good one, if not have a good day..

I used to have a note 4, and also really missed customizing my phone. I then sold it and bought my nexus 6 which rocks. I think all those gimmicky features on the note 4 are not really worth it.

If you want customization options, then you want a Nexus. Though xposed is limited currently, the custom ROM development is outstanding. This is one of the easiest devices to root/ROM and as long as you read and follow the guides, it is very hard to brick. Read the sticky roll up thread in the general forum and look for the beginner's guide. A great place to start.

I came from a Note 3. I never used all those touchwiz features. I don't miss a thing from the note 3.
Will the gear s lose any function with this? Gear app won't work correct?

haha well i changed my mind after just purchasing a Gear S yesterday and realizing what im losing going to a Nexus
Well if you like stock android the nexus 6 is a good switch. I came from a nexus 6 to a g flex2 to a note 4 and i like having a skin on top of android. I didn't really like the bone stock android but everyone is different. The camera is great with hdr + on but all the videos seem very fuzzy when compared to the other devices i owned.
