Try Turning the volume up and open another music app .

Erm ... no Tried almost everything....players...youtube...flash
.no sound even in the android(ringtones , etc.)...Ive noticed that it didn't charging also... is it possible to be drom clockwork ?( highly doubdt that )but once i reach enough battery percentage ill install the latest recovery...im stuck i WebOS for now :/

The only thing I would think to do is flash the ROM you are using again and see if it fixes anything. But you said its with all ROMs which doesnt make sense. Maybe its an app you have installed thats turning volume off. Its hard to say

I'm flashing it and installing NOTHING but google apps ... same sh*t :<
Oh ... btw no more sound in headphones too.

I think i found the Issue... its like the tablet constantly thinks that there is something in the jack ( headphones for example...) Is the any way to activate the speakers even with jack in the 3.5 port ?

Use the old sound drivers maybe

My old Pre Plus used to have that happen. Made by the same company so go figure. Lol. Try putting the headphones in and out until it triggers the connector and goes back to speaker sound. Don't be too rough with it though. I don't know if it will be the same but on my old phone, you plugged the headphones in and pulled out with some slight pressure towards the front. If your Touchapad thinks there is headphone in there when there's not, you just have to trigger that connection so it goes back. You can try cleaning the headphone port too if possible. There could be dust in there.

I've tried the in/out yesterday...it dint't worked. Today it hitter me that I've tried only cm9 and 10 based ROMs...so I've downloaded the classic nerd and everything worked fine...but I don't really like the ROM....Can anyone provide a link for the old sound drivers , pretty please :good:
My tablet constantly thinks that there are headphones attatched...but have no problems in classic nerd nor webos :/

As a temporary fix, try an app named SoundAbout.

[Q] Speaker problem..

Well... after I play music on the cappy in speaker and after 2 or 3 songs it stops working... recently flashed CM 7,1 stable... tough it was the kernel so moved to glitch and it still happens... In handsfree or connected to earphones it works normally so it's kinda weird....
I want to know if some1 else have experienced this... it fixes waiting 30 or 40 mins or rebooting.. so i dun have a mere idea of what's happening. Tnx in advance if some1 can help..
What bootloaders are you on
Sent from my I897 using xda premium
I went back to stock eclair before flashing CM.... so i guess eclair bootloaders..
I am having similar issues. However, no cwm or Odin flash has yet to fix it.
Funny.. My wife's Cappy did that a while back. speaker just totally quit on EVERYTHING. it was running stock then with ZERO MODS. to fix, pushing on the speaker solved it. Like the connection contacts were makeing good connection for it.
I'm pretty sure that this is a physical problem unrelated to any ROM. You should try opening the back and pushing down on the speaker unit so that it makes better contact. I had similar problem and this did the trick for me. There was another thread where someone suggested using padded tape to keep pressure on the speaker unit, but so far that hasn't been necessary for me.
For physical problem, do what ^^ he said
When I was CM7.1 i was having same problem with my cappy, the quality of sound was horrible everywhere...on speaker, earphone and if streamed to external speaker...someone sugggested to use DSP manager settings, but i didnt do it and moved to another rom..

Strange speaker issue

Hi all,
I have a strange issue with one mobo for i9000 and I thought that maybe someone will be able to help with that. I have not been able to find any solution on the forum or anywhere else. The problem is that the speaker generally works - when I change the ringtone or notifications, the sound gets through it, however it does not play any sound when playing multimedia type of sound (so in games, or when changing multimedia volume in settings). When I connect headphones, the sound works ok for multimedia. Does anyone have an idea on what is going on with it? I have never seen such an issue, is there any way o fix it?
Thanks,

Try to change your rom if problem still there then it must be fault in speakers then go to service centre.
It confused me, that you write the speaker sounds normal ...
Are you using BigMEM or something which breaks some kernel-libs for multimedia???

Yeah, the sound gets through it when I select different ringtones, but not when playing multimedia. However when I connect headphones, all is ok.
Currently the phone was wiped clean and installed stock rom using Odin, so I assume if there even were modifications like those you mention, those should be all gone now.
Hmhh strange:
When you are using stock rom and the problem still exists it should be a hardware problem with the speaker maybe with some frequencies???
Because when you use your headphones erverything works okay, so the is produced by the kernel-drivers ...

check if you have any lint /dirt lodged in your headphone slot, try use a needle of tooth pick, when phone is powered off and battery removed.
Check this out! You , YES! you are an " Android ". Not your phone but U.

I will, thanks. I did not realize this may be the issue, since all other sounds go through the speaker. But then if the sound for ringtones goes through speaker regardless of connected headphones, this may be the issue.
I will check and see if this will help, thanks!

Ok so I have managed to trace the problem. It turned out that international version of i9000 has a different sensor/headphone connector than the SC-02B I have. I have ripped off the sensor/headphone module from original leftovers of the screen and connected it to the board and launched the phone. All sound works fine then, no issues whatsoever. Youtube works, ringtones work, even the light sensor works (it did not when I tested it on the international board). So this is it guys. Probably the same problem is with wifi - there are different board connectors and the antenna is not connected, hence low signal.
Thanks for your replies and help, much appreciated!

Please help, sound not working with headphones

So, here's the deal,
The sound works fine when using the speakers, but, when I plug in ANY headphones, while it does recognize them, the sound is so low that, even in a completely silent room I can barely hear anything.
The volume is at Max, I have cleaned the headphone jack many times.
Important information : I started when I flashed a cutom rom. I thought it maybe was a software problem, so I restore the stock rom, but the problem persist.
Please help me guys, Music is my life haha
Thanks in advance!
sounds like a break in the connection of the port...
no easy fix unfortunately, are you sure there isnt anything, lint or anything, maybe jammed down in there?

Headphones jack not working anymore.. Need help

Hi, so at first, i'm pretty newbie here and english isn't my primary language, so, sorry if i'm at the wrong place for this or if i'm difficult to understand..
So, i have an HTC One M7, and my problem is that the headphones jack won't recognize any headphones anymore.. I tried with 3 different headphones, i tried with 3 different roms (4.4.3 Stock, 4.4.4 CandyKat, 4.4.3 ViperOne), cleaned the lint that was stuck in the jack, and it doesn't matter, the jack won't work.
If i plug the headphones, the sound will just keep playing through the speakers.
I have found an alternative, which i guess you already know : Using the " SoundAbout " app to force the jack recognizing the headphones, and that way, it works perfectly. So, i don't know if this is hardware or software related. Or both...
The problem is that i'm now obligated to have " SoundAbout " constantly running in background, eating battery, taking place in status bar, and the WORST : If i set SoundAbout to make the headphones working, and if i unplug the headphones, the sound won't come through the speakers. I have to go back into the app to force the speakers working.. And vice-versa.
This is driving me nuts. The dude who selled me that One told me it was an update problem that should be fixed in the next OTA update (With android 5), i guess he was lying because it doesn't matter which rom is installed.
The notification front led never light up too.. Idk if broken or just bugged out.
Anyway, i'm begging for your help, this is an outstanding problem i NEVER had with any phones in the past (And god knows i had a lot of phones), i just don't know what to try next.. Maybe changing kernel but i guess it wouldn't change anything..

It sounds like a hardware problem to me ..the only real fix would be done by HTC
you could of coarse use Bluetooth headphones
Maybe, but i don't want to send my phone in repair service for weeks or months.. I'm not even sure if the problem appeared itself or if the guy who had it before me did it.. So idk if they would repair it
The confusing thing is that with SoundAbout, the headphones works perfectly.. Could it be the jack sensor that is broken ?
Also, for the notification led, i saw it blinking red when i was at low battery, finally.. But the led is very weak, can't notice it if i'm not in a dark place..

turn around time for HTC repair is under 10 days for most problems. the top speaker contains a lot of stuff. I would try sending it back
Well, the issue is gone now.. When i plugged my headphones this morning, the phone recognized them sometimes, i jiggled around the jack and now it works like it should everytime
I guess there was a pin or something in the jack output that was stuck, at least it's working now.
Thanks !

Phone is not outputting through speakers anymore?

For some reason, my phone seems to think that I have headphones connected all the time. If i plug headphones in, I get sound through them, but once I unplug them, it still carries on as if they weren't taken out (Poweramp pauses on headset disconnect - which it isn't), I have tried rebooting and it has had no effect. I'm on Crystal PA, if that helps. I have no idea whats triggered this, Ive been using Poweramp player on all my androids for a long time, I doubt the app is causing it. The speakers are just not switching back on after the headphones have been removed.
Could this be a hardware problem?
Probably. Are you using Viper Audio or have the FauxSound app installed? Check those apps.

Aha, never thought about that, I know Crystal PA has viper installed but Im not using it, I was using MusicFX, Ive switched to viper and installed the viper driver and i got sound out of the speaker for a few seconds then it went back to thinking there's headphones connected. This is such a random problem! I havnt touched any of the audio settings since I installed this rom about 2-3 weeks ago, just left things on default.
I think im going to have to wipe and reinstall a ROM and see if that fixes it, i semi messed up this install by trying out the Supercharger script which seems to have made my UI even more flakey rather than improving it.
I really dislike how every ROM Ive tried out on this phone lasts for a few weeks before it gets glitchy with UI crashes and general slowness. And this is not a dig at the devs at all, its not their fault, there is just something deep in this phone which seems to screw it up. The temptation to drive an axe through this phone is growing!
So I've just gone into recovery, wiped system, factory reset and wiped dalvik cache, installed FXP349 CM11 and the same issue is there, sound just wont stop outputting through the headphones, if I turn the ringer volume up, the phone outputs through the speakers, but if i get a call, the phone ignores the earpiece and automatically uses the headphones port to output (doesnt matter if the headphones are actually plugged in or not). I have to switch to speakerphone to hear what people are saying (it sounds very bad quality).
So i guess this means its a hardware problem, Im going to have to try and open up the phone, see if i can see anything broken in there.
Does anyone have experience with any of this?
user154 said:
This may sound stupid but its not just a bit of crap thats been compacted into the jack? I am having the same problem and suspect that may be the cause. I have had this problem before with a phone, but tried to get the foreign material out of the jack with a pin, I ended breaking the jack by pulling part of it out along with whatever was in there. I haven't attempted to clean out my sp's jack yet but am sure thats what it is.

Well this was my first idea, I tried spraying compressed air into the jack hole but nothing came out, I also tried a cotton swab in the hole - again nothing. I cant see anything foreign in the hole, so Im thinking the port itself is broken in someway, outputs fine but the port just isn't detecting me unplugging headphones. Ive looked at a dis-assembly guide but it means taking off bits of protective film which I don't know if you can just stick them back on.
Im going to make a nandroid backup of my phone in its current state on the latest CM build and then try going back to original Sony software with an FTF, just to see being put back to stock state will change anything. (my friend thinks its some kind of low level software problem). I dont have high hopes but its worth a shot.
EDIT: So moving back to full stock Sony software with an FTF of 12.1.A.1.205 firmware has had no effect, this must mean its a hardware issue.
So weirdly today, after plugging my phone into a car aux cable and playing some music through it, it magically fixed itself? it snowed a bit the other night and i got pretty soaked by it cycling to work so I think it could have been moisture in the phone or something, its the only explanation I can think of. Its working again now.
