You must have flashed your phone using Odin and a wrong pit file.
You should't use a pit file to flash TWRP.

Help system/internal sd problem Bounty for fixing

ive tried fixing this for the past 2weeks but no luck..
If anyone could help me with this im willing to give bounty.
Flashed with different roms but no luck..sir hardcore told me to flash dxjpa which is suitable rom for my country but no luck again.
Basically the problem is i can do a hard/factory/cmw mode reset of my galaxy s but when i reboot it, apps everything are still there in my internal sd..
And its bombarding the phone with lots of force closing apps.
Im try the cmw mode of reformating the system but no luck unmounting it gives me an error..
Ive tried to reformat thou the data/cache and internal sd it gives me the success but when i reboot the phone it hangs in the galaxy s logo..
Im also trying to repartition the internal sd but no luck also in cmw mode.
My bluetooth is also force closing
i cant use it any more.
I cant do/put update.zip in intermal sd..
Everytime i put it using masstorage and applying it in cmw mode it vanishes.
Apps that i delete come back whenever i reboot.
But the phone is still working, manage to apply hardcores speedmod kernel..
Any help will be very much appreciated..and a bounty ofcoures.
50$....i think the problem is the partition of internal sd anf the 2gig rom for apps..whenever im trying to install new app first 15mins its running ok..after that it force closes.

Well you need to flash a new firmware with odin.
Do use pit 512 and for tick re-partition.
Then go into recovery when the phone start. It should do that once after the flash.
When the phone reboot pull the battery fast.
Then put it back in and go to recovery mode.
Now format the internal sdcard . Do a factory reset.
Do wipe the catch and format the internal sdcard again.
Now reboot.
You have lost all of your data, but all should work.

thanks sir gonna try that one later.
If this works im gona buy you a beer!
Thanks again.
sir its still the same followed your instruction.
when i format internal sd it says:
formating internal sd
updating media:
updating media finished:
it didnt say that it is formated..
why is that?
when it reboots all apps that must not be there are still intact
but cannot be open as it force closes..
im wondering also why is my bluebooth not functioning it force closes also.
dont know what to do any more..
not sure if this would help you .. but i was getting the infamous "cant mount /dev/block/stl11" errors everywhere ..
to fix the partitions i flashed my phone with the PDA and Modem files from the JM8 firmware and the CSC file from JPU along with the 512.pit via Odin with reflash ticked.. you could always try that

Did you install a new firmware with odin and did repartition?
You need a full firmware for that.
You cant have same error or same file left if you did that.

What was your original firmware? Try flashing that and following DamianGTO's instructions before mixing and matching random pda/modem/csc files from various firmwares.

If you do What we tell you to do then it will work.
Before you mess with different stuff you need to flash a full firmware. That's to clean up the phone and make it work. Format etc...

As i undrstand you want to formate the internal sd card but you cant, if you have root explorer installed then check the permission of one of the folder in sd card it might be read only. You can check thus through adb but i dont know it. If it is read only than changd it to write as well than try to delete folder.

i think ive messed root explorer last time..im trying to put file inside the system its a .so file..
Il gonna check.
I cant be able to root this time cause when i put update.zip in internal sd and go to recovery mode it vanishes and cant be applied.
Ithink the internal becomes write protected??
Why not try things we say?
You don't follow them. Its clear now that you don't.

ok here it is..
flash to stock rom dxjf4 partition ticked..
flash again diff rom pda without partition dxjpa..in recovery mode reboot pull batery fast and put it back. recovery mode format internal sd/ factory reset/wipe date cache and format internal sd again..then reboot..
ok done..
waiting...still apps are force closing..try factory reset.. still apps are there..
flash again to stock rom same procedure..then to jm8 pda (trying diff pda's)
after flashing e: cant mount dev/block/j11o
cant flash with jm8 pda that error occurs.
ive been using the stock rom for the meantime..dont know what to do anymore.
cant reformat my internal sd card..
apps are keep coming back.

Gingerbread Update gone wrong

Hi, i have just updated my galaxy s to the latest gingerbread rom using odin 1.7 and all was ok with that bit. But when the phone rebooted i got an error saying UIDs on the system are inconsistant, you need to wip your data partiton or your device will be unstable. i click the im feeling lucky button and it goes in to gmail process stopped unexpectedly force close, my uploads is the same as well. and if i try to run any app its does the same. Even the setup wizard forces close when i try and set it up the it goes in to a reboot loop. i have tried to factory reset by tiping in the number on the dail pad and going in to recovery mode all to no avail. i have tried reflashin with older roms eg 2.1 2.2 but this makes it worse. has anyone got any clues to help me????
Thanks

I have managed to get Dark Core Recovery - By Ficeto on my phone i have formatted /system /data /cache /sdvard /sd-ext Although it looks like its done bugger all. i have done a wipe/factory reset wipe cache but no avail...also wiped Dalvik repartitioned SD for 512mb and a swap file of 256mb. also fixed permissions. I could really do with a hand as i feel naked with out my phone lol....
Here is a 3 file 2.1 rom if you want to try it.
It's DTJG4 which is an Australian eclair build, but may get you out of trouble.
Flash it with a 512 pit and re-partition as previously suggested.

What about EFS.....
Odin 1.7 is the wrong flashing program for the i9000 you should be using v1.0, 1.3 or 1.8.
The numerous versions of odin are version specific and you need to be using the correct one for your phone type.

Format error after flashing with ODIN

I flashed the JVT ROM via odin , after it flashed and said PASSED in ODIN the phone reset , from there the the stock recovery said...
E: format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2.
Is there anything I can do to fix it?
anybody tried this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdMhYYdMB08

nope, just flash as is, using Odin as PDA
Solution:- For M110S, use repair kit from Pit Stop
For i9000, Use i9000 Rescue kit with heimdall or on linux , select files as follows...
primary boot > boot.bin
secondary boot > Sbl.bin
repartition > s1_odin_20100512.pit
factoryfs > factoryfs.rfs
cache > cache.rfs
dbdata > dbdata.rfs
param > param.lfs
modem > modem.bin
kernel > zImage
The reboot may request for "Confirm password", just enter any password about 5 times until prompted that, "this will wipe the card." Yes wipe, ..Should solve the problem
Reason for this is system unable to Format /data... hence on ICS ROM, moving /data to External SD Card will solve this problem
this solve my problem but the phone still not working good, after i did this the camera dont work and alot of others things in the phone \= .

You need to format it, by any means possible, IF, it is not functioning due to wrong format BUT if the internal SD card is corrupted, than it has to be replaced

vanir no sdcard0

after installing vanir, cwm tells me "cant mount storage/sdcard0" and i cant access my sdcard0. when i open the sdcard0 folder with any file manager, the folder is empty and i cant creaty any folder inside, and i go to settings->storage->partition info i have 0/0 on /sdcard (FAT) and /sd-ext(EXT).
how can i fix this?

Try with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/SD_card_partitioning
Know that you will lose its data, but anyway you can't reach it now...
P.S. I misunderstood, you can't reach internal storage. Try to format it in settings->storage->partition. Or simply change ROM before anything.

Sorry, seems XDA does not allow *.pit extension to be uploaded. You need to unzip it first.
Yes, you needed to flash Stock 4.1.2 in first place.
,
P.S. I needed to put some random image in zip, it did not allow me to upload that small file on XDA... Just ignore it.
