Cheers ......I think people have took pity on me ....... They have looked at your response and sent me emails on how to change it. ...
To be honest answer yes without sharing or passing on a help link is not helpful .... ... Based on the emails from forum members it must be your usual response

Care to share the answer, anyone?

Currently there is not yet a way to change this with WP8 devices. On WP7 you were able to change this using CustomROMs or by flashing an unbranded Stock ROM. Given how new the devices are we haven't yet found ways to unlock them and flash CustomROMs. At least I don't know yet wether you can flash an unbranded ROM - with HTCs newer Android devices that was not possible but all WP7 devices were able to do that.
So in short: not yet but I guess we'll find out soon.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1340276&postcount=1 is the only one I know of. It's a pre-release device, so many of the tools are not tested / modified for the device yet.
Gordon
How exactly did you get this from the uk and where from?!
lol I'd be very happy if you told me..
Pardon for attempting to thread jacking ... but since we're on the topic of "unlocking" ...
May I ask "Howto" regarding "APP UNLOCKING" on the Kaiser ?? do we still go ahead using the __>> SDA_ApplicationUnlock that's floating around ??

Before you unlock your kaiser I would suggest waiting for a kaiser verified unlocking tool to use. I'm kind of new to this community but I think it's better SAFE than sorry when dealing with possibly bricking your phone.

Thank you for the kind advice
I think it quite safe when dealing with APP UNLOCKING ( worse that can happen you can always hard reset.
now, CID/SIM unlocking ( like the thread topic ) is a whole different ball game.
again ... Thanks
For how much ?

Please READ HERE, that's where all the answers are, and keep in mind that only ROMS made for TOPAZ/Diamond2 can be flashed
Or the saffest way is to go HTCSUPPORT, insert your Serial Number and get the Official ROM to your device, read your Manual also

YES they do solve the question and they are very old threads, you didn't miss them, you just didn't search for them, you could find them with the search function on this very site...
- I have an htc hd7 tmobile
* like me
- I think it is factory unlocked but not quite sure
* if you can use any SIM, then it's unlocked...
- I was roaming around this website and found about custom rom. I want some detail about it..what is it for..?What are the advantages and disadvantages of it? Is there any risk? If it gets damaged then i will not get any from my dad....can we get bt transfer from any custom rom..
* You clearly didn't read or use google about the topic, all the custom roms say what they do, also the concept is obvious to avoid questioning about what it is...
Official ROM, Custom ROM
what does this tells you?
Are the custom ROMs made by Microsoft, T-Mobile or AT&T?
What is Official ROM, can the Official ROM be made by anyone?
Does the custom ROMs thread mention something about BT transfers?
Does any thread mention this topic about WP7?
next time don't fear google.com

[Discussion] S-OFF for HTC Desire C/Golfu ...

Hey Guys.. I Created this thread for discussing S-OFF for our Desire C (obviously) ... Recently I contacted HTC Devs and here what they say ...
Dear Reinel Caluag,
Thanks for contacting HTC Philippines
we appreciate your continuous attentions with our products and services. We understand that you wanted to have an S off for your HTC Desire C.
For us to easily solve the issue, we would like to get the exact make and model of the handset. And it would be best if you could provide to us the IMEI or the serial number of your phone for proper documentation of your account with us. You may usually get the IMEI on the sticker at the back of the handset or by dialing *#06# on your phone’s dialer.
Regarding the concern, as we gathered some information, S-on or security on is a feature on our device where the system software of the handset is protected. For this, since you mentioned that you've already unlocked the bootloader of the handset and you still have S-On, we will raise this concern to our management for us to know how you can get S-off. For the meantime, please do expect another email response about updates and resolution for the said concern.
Please let us know if this information was able to help you. If not, kindly inform us the issues you have encountered. Should you need further assistance, you may give us a call at 1800-14410789 for PLDT or 1800-89086588 for Globe. You may provide your customer ID number “ for us to easily pull up your account. And our business hours are from Mondays to Sundays, 8:00AM to 8:00PM.
On the other hand, if we have successfully answered all of your concerns, you may close the ticket by accessing the links provided as well as for proper documentation of your account with us.
Once the ticket is closed, you will be receiving an invite for a survey. We would greatly appreciate if you can participate on a quick survey regarding how we were able to assist you with your concern.
Thank you for making business with us. Have a nice day!

What Do ya Think Guys.. ???

Good, Its good to see the HTCDev team showing even the slightest support for the Desire C
Maybe we will get S-OFF maybe we wont.
Right now it seems to be the thing we need most right now :/
Thanks for doing this Addictz10

Excuse my noobishness, but I don't really see the point behind getting s-off for our phone. I understand it will enable us to flash kernels from recovery mode itself and we can flash radio images to our phone (which I think is risky and i would never try that). And we can flash a different bootloader. But with it comes great security risks, and the possibility to actually hard brick our phones. So given a choice, I would still opt for S-on. Flashing kernels through fastboot is not that much of a problem, it hardly takes any time. Is there something I'm missing regarding S-off?

yeah ... !!
My turn to state an opinion. IMHO dual booting is a bad idea. It takes up more space than it should. The only benefit i see from it is as a test enviorment.
Like have your main rom setup, and then flash test builds of other roms alongside it. But that is the only benefit.
Isn't different bootloaders device specific? If so who will be the advanced dev guy that will port/build them for us?
Im supporting s-off, but highly hesitant whether it will be of much use on a such low end device.

I am not sure about Dual boot.
becuse pico doesn't have S-off but a dual boot
I think they have s-off .. coz dual boot needs s-off because dual boot flash kernels through recovery... while us on fastboot

I agree with noahvt about changing splash screen and its so annoying having to turn on my PC to change kernel and we need to get a full touch cwm not twrp like 6.0.3.5

YAH! I KNOW!! Just do What we want -_-
Dear Reinel Caluag,
Thanks for contacting HTC Philippines
Thank you for the information that you have provided. Regarding the concern, as we've checked our resources, we found out that we don't need to turn the security off to accomplish the basic installation of custom ROM. Security on by default is good for some reasons, it protects the system software configuration such as radio, boot, recovery and system. However, once you've unlocked the bootloader of the handset, you will have lifted the restrictions of the handset and you have the means to customize boot, recovery and system images on your phone as you desire. For this, we are sorry to say that our management did not give the exact information on how to turn the security off. But as for coordination, normally, once you've unlocked the bootloader of the handset it will automatically have S-Off and developers would easily access or toggle the options on the phone specifically with Security off and on.

I've send an e-mail as well
I stated that they should atleast consider it!
EDIT: for my asus transformer it was so easy just unlock the bootloader and i was flashing a new bootloader immediately after that why does HTC have to make it this hard :\
