Just download the your original firmware from sammfirmware and use Odin to flash it and this will overwrite your recovery mode and your Root access

Then how about the yes optus?
Sent from my GT-I9305 using xda app-developers app

sammobile.com has the optus firmware just goto firmware>firmware & files and scroll down put your device details in and then it will find it

One more thing is sammobile firmware the official one??

I am having similar issues same model and same carrier, but the thing is i used samsung-updates singtel firmware to unroot my phone but now it doesnt detect my network and the baseband is unknown. Should I flash it again with the firmware from samfirmware? Will it work? Or is there any other way? Cuz as for now, my device status says its modified and i'm not sure if my warranty will be void if i bring it over to samsung.

Make sure before you install stock firmware that you install "triangle away" and reset you custom firmware counter otherwise they will see you've modded you s3 and the warranty will be void

I have done the triangle away reset. My binary counter in odin mode is 0 but my device status still shows modified.

Fixed exclamation mark by using triangle away and flashing a stock firmware (even though i was aready on a stock firmware). Issue now is its still saying "modified" in Settings->about device->status.. Any help is appreciated.

If I can remember correctly, all you would now need to do is do a factory reset and that should complete your unroot

Did you reboot after it? As the device checks for a custom firmware during boot so reset binary then restore without a reboot inbetween.
It also installs stock kernel if we did not mention that

If you want to go back to stock ROM then you will need to download the stock firmware from sammobile and flash with odin.
If you want it completely wiped then it's a good idea to format internal SD card aswell

Hi...noob question...wouldn't formatting internal SD card remove CWM and everything else (JB) as well?
If you want to be 100% sure do the restore in odin first and when running stock rom just go to settings and wipe sd card.. no worrys.

Thanks for your reply...I don't know very much about these android devices so can I ask some more noob questions?
1. Does JB exists on a separate partition so when you do a format, even from your pc, the formatting doesn't affect JB?
2. Would wiping / formatting the sd card get rid of every single file / directory not required by JB (including games directories n files etc)? Because this is what I want...brand spanking clean.

using mobile odin by chain fire more safety for flashing
use cwm same safety way too
use odin in pc more dangerous IF you dont have many good usb connections or samsung driver inside your pc
dont forget backup your efs ,this very important from begining you have s3
There is a function called "Firmware Upgrade And Initialization" in your Samsung KIES if you are using the newest version. It will help you to download the newest firmware from the KIES server. You don't have to boot your device until you are told to start the download mode by the Samsung KIES.

Will Triangle Away hard/soft brick my device? Need advice on this.

Hi XDA,
I want to ask: would I hard brick my galaxy S3 gt-i9305 if I were to use version 3.05 of the Triangle Away app?
Recently, I used the app to reset my flash counter (from 4 to 1). I tried reducing the flash counter to 0 but to NO AVAIL.
My phone still stays at (Binary: Custom) and (Flash counter: 1). I want to flash my phone back to stock rom (mine is a rooted stock rom).
I want to flash my phone back to stock. Can I just skip reseting the flash counter and just flash my stock firmware with mobile Odin?
Thanks for any advice.
From,

In order to reset to 0 you need to have stock recovery and stock kernel.
IIRC flashing stock with Odin won't affect the flash counter.

Flashing of what? Triangle Away will reset the counter, but have have to execute the app.
Further, if you have flashed one of the stock pre-rooted packages, and left stock recover and kernel, your counter should be left on 0.
If you only want to unroot, you can do it with SuperSU app, I belive, there is no need to flash anything (provided you are on stock ROM, as already mentioned.).
Ok, i forgot, you have mentioned you had rooted your stock ROM, and that increased the counter.
So remember, flashing stock package (pre rooted or not.) doesn't increase the counter. So fund and follow instructions to unroot (or use SuperSU app.) , before that reset the counter and afterwards flash the stock ROM with Odin (not mobile Odin, since there is no root any more.).

[Q] Phone stuck in boot loop

Hey all! I have (had) a rooted HTC one.
In an attempt to install an Android 4.3 ROM, I've got my phone in 1 of 2 stages.
I have TWRP
When I tried to download the 4.3 ROM and reboot, it takes me back to the bootloader screen. If i try reboot, it continuity takes me back to this screen.
If i go to recovery, and attempt to wipe & backup, it says successful, however, upon a reboot, it goes through the motions, but android nor apps never loads and in about 20 seconds, the phone restarts and continues this process over and over again..
Can anyone help me just get my phone back please?
I feel like somethings just missing or do i need to factory reset?

Jaywill I did the exact same thing as you did, followed the wrong root guide to upgrade 4.3 on htconeroot. I too get booted into the bootloader screen consistently and after a factory reset/recovery it's stuck in a bootloop.

I did lose everything on my phone. I didn't had much on it though since I've only had the phone for two weeks.
The course of action is this:
First connect phone to your computer and get ADB going (hopefully you had USB debugging on)
Then follow this guide to get S-OFF and relock bootloader, make sure you booted into recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44243635
Then download RUU from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250904
and install on your PC.

First off I'm assuming you have the android SDK installed on your PC since you have rooted phones before.
You probably need a driver for your PC to recognize the phone. The one I used is this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2263822
But you can also download and install the HTC Sync
Once your PC recognizes your phone and you are booted into recovery you can push ADB and fastboot commands to your phone.

What Happened to My Note 3?

Okay so I originally got the phone all stock, brand new from my AT&T store.
As soon as the root de la vega was released, I rooted my phone and everything worked perfectly.
AT&T force updated my phone for some reason... basically getting rid of the root. It still has SuperSU but it doesn't really do anything at all lol. It' just there, I can't un install it, I've tried doing a factory reset on the phone but even after the update it still has the Custom boot thing with the lock under Galaxy Note 3.
I tried to re root my phone but whenever I do the one click thing it just fails instantly and I can't restore to stock or I just don't know what I'm doing.
Can someone please explain to me how to restore my phone to stock, and delete everything?
Or tell me how to re root without getting a big Red sign on my COM Port?
Thanks <3
I dont believe you can go back to MI9 once you have the OTA to MJ5. And you cant use the oneclick from De la vega you might brick your phone. Im not sure of any other fixes as of yet...if im wrong someone please correct me.

Samsung SM-N920T Baseband Unknown and no IMEI

I flashed custom roms as well as some kernels didn't knew what I was doing but kept on doing it. And it ended with baseband unknown error and wanted to check imei number (*#06#) no imei number blank,

You need to use Odin to flash the baseband again, or, if you have TWRP, and you have a back up saved, restore EFS.

Are you saying you tried using Odin to flash the baseband again and it did not work? If you don't mind explain what you were originally doing before the problem occurred.
Were you running a stock, un-rooted ROM?
Did you install TWRP?
Did you remember to perform a backup in TWRP?
Next, did you flash a custom ROM and Kernel?

Okay, since no-one has responded.. I have the sm~n920t with the same problem. I flashed a rom off of here using Odin and I managed to brick my note 5. My phone can't take SD card so I backed up to my internal memory. I never reset internal memory so I'm fine usually. But when I bricked it reset everything. I had a back up on PC but it's down too because of windows
10 black screen of death update. Anywho, I need to fix my note I just got a new SIM and it does nothing, no notifications, no SIM removed, nothing. Flashed stock 6.0 four Odin files. Still nothing. I'm getting frustrated. Any insight? Thanks.
