edit: the actual grip is only 72mm wide so it's a no go for the note 2. I am going to visit homedepot after work to see what I can conjure up hehe.

Nice, thanks for sharing.
Only issue is where to mount it to in car, can't block the view of windshields and i don't see where you could mount it to sit where climate control is.

I actually have this tripod for my camera. It's really cool. You can adjust it into any position you can think of. If there were a way to get it to hold my Note2, I'd use it much more than I do now.

Made my own car mount.

well, i got the body glove case that comes with the kickstand. put the little round thing on the back of the case that used for the kickstand, but dont use the kick stand. go get a cb radio mic mount. the one i have is small and fits pretty much anywhere in my truck. i don't have any pictures of it right now but i'll get some tomorrow if anyone wants to see it.

Clamp mount: hxxp://cgi.ebay.com/New-Mini-Clamp-Tripod-Camera-Camcorder-QK200-/130461588381?pt=AU_Cameras_Photographic_Accessories&hash=item1e601ddb9d
I couldn't find exactly the same lenses on ebay but there are plenty of them here: hxxp://photography.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=wide+angle+converter&_sacat=78997&_odkw=&_osacat=78997&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313 and some of them are really cheap

Any one know if these work on the streak?

I have a real similar item I used to use on my iPhone, the Streak is too heavy and it gets wobbly. The way the handle looks bent on the photo of this one makes it look like it might have similar issues.
Need something like a rear mirror hanger with a slide-in that contain the streak on both sides and the bottom

Machinist's Stand

I am a manual/CNC machinist here in Houston Texas and could not for the life of me find any decent stand for my line of work. So I made one with a Noga Flexible arm magnetic base and attached the backing of an old indicator I had and mounted it in the RooCase i had bought. here are some pics and i plan on making a nicer one later on.

Love it, and that's a very good idea. I could use something like that for my desk, which officially has no room left on it.
lol Never thought to Use my mag base

A Orion Mounting Bracket and a 11" Magic Arm with Clamp and you are all set.

What is this dark rectangle on back of Q6?

I picked up a Q6 finding the back plastic cover has this rectangular cutout. You can't see it in the photo, as I need to catch the light at the correct angle to see it, but the phone has a darker rectanglular area to match. It seems to be more under/in the plastic than on top of it. I haven't opened it up yet to see.
My initial guess is that it was an area marked out to mount something but, I don't know, that just seems like going to too much trouble?
Does anyone know what this is?

That's where the IMEI/barcode label is located on the back of the phone.
