Available through CheckFus also. This is the indicative that Jelly Bean is Far away for India
Is it available ota?
For me it says no firmware upgrade available

Oops...i named the title like that asking for questions regarding the change log in the firmware...not in the context of asking of an update :silly:
There ain't any visible changes just the performance update and perhaps crayon physics app has been updated as it showed on the start screen

No you Can't install OTA.. Need Stock Kernel to install
I'm using philz patched stock kernel..guess this works with OTA?

Mine also showing the same if i try OTA. I connected through kies, but I am unable to update as the up-gradation stops (not responding) after downloading the file.
black clipping is still pretty prominent on LS7 and LSA so i wouldnt be too hopeful
i cannot upgrade getting globalutil.dll error at 100% download i tried to reinstall kies too , i have the latest kies

i'm updating via kies.. and this doesn't look like a 14mb download.. seems like its the full firmware its downloading.. i'll update once it is complete..

yep.. minor update.. for some reason it did a full install on mine.. stock kernel is back.. and lost root.. stupid thing!
so are all the bloatware i removed back!

my new Samsung note has just had a update today with new firmware, my Original is in my profile. This new Base-band N7000XXLB2 got rid of root & superuser etc, everything seam to be works,but the pen is not working properly... IS there anyway I can get root back on this new LB2 f/w Please, very grateful for any help..

It showed you because its the latest F/W for your location.As far as rooting,simple search would do.Go to dev section and search.Or read this.
Basically, most ota updates will lose root. Safest way to keep root on update is use mobile Odin on device and download update package from samfirmware or Dr. Ketans guide.

Just got NEWS Yesterday that "New update for Galaxy Note brings new interface and gallery"
They say its for International Versions only and is currently being pushed via OTA.
Its an updated firmware of ICS 4.0.4
Details of the firmware:
PDA: N7000XXLRQ
PHONE: N7000XXLRK
CSC: N7000DBTLRQ
Is this NEWS Correct and Can this be downlaoded and used on other Gnote. I live in INDIA. If I download this german version will i be able to use it here???????
If it does work? Please guide me on how to do it? as am not that well versed techie

Hey Doc,
I am still om LR6 and software update shows "no update" I had the same issue last time as well and then I had to use Kies. I usually keep all files related to software update deleted from system as they keep running in background and copy them again to system to check for any update, could this be the reason for no OTA?
And what method do you suggest to update- Kies or odin? I am rooted with stock Kernel and almost all "possible" stock apps removed. I know I will loose root and all apps will be back in both methods
First there is no OTA update still in india after LR6.
And if you have disable software update related app then you won't get it.
I prefer Odin Odin and Odin only.

Ohh, I though there might be one after reading OP , by the way I enabled OTA by copying all files back to system. but if there is no OTA then how can it show something, lol. Thanks will stay on LR6 then.

Hey doc it went well. the firmware is now update and running well on Gnote. Better than the LR6. Just few apps which are german based and a few by google which says that google hasnt started the service in INDIA.
Last i want to know, will i be getting future OTA's of stock rom???

Since you are on a German ROM, so logically you should get all German updates whether through kies or OTA, but Indian updates are a no go.
You can later flash Indian version of LRQ using odin once available, I am sure Dr.Ketan will upload it same day

todaye i'm trying to update my note to LRT on the phone. but it said NO UPDATE AVAILABLE. I'm on LRQ in DBT. so i tried to use Kies to do that. and it trying to download about 1000MB for updating my phone to LRT!! as i saw the Kies Server is to slow and it will take about 8 hours for me. does somebody face this before ? why when it's update is just about 5.7MB it want to download about 1000MB ?!
i think it's easier to download from sammobile and flash it using odin !
the 5.7 MB is using OTA which just patches the present ROM but kies downloads the entire ROM before flashing it on the phone, so obviously its safer.. yes using ODIN is also safe and easier

kies server is not that slow.. i downloaded the ROM for last update approx 958 MB in about 40 mins. it may be the time of day that u using it. but it has a tendency to cut off in between..and u have to start again. ODIN is definitely better
I would agree with above poster, odin is safer, there have been a lot of reports of bricks because of interrupted ota updates. Stay safe, use pc Odin.

There are many reasons. Dbt I believe is Germany code, if your region does not match Germany, then Kies will refuse it. If your kernel or csc don't match the rom, then again it will refuse it I believe. Samsung have a lot of issues with automatic updates currently.

You'll have to manually make updates as lsa isn't an official rom.

Unless you're incredibly lucky, the chance is like 1% that you will receive the "official" updates.
So either you install your updates through Odin or CWM.

I used Odin and installed the latest Jelly bean 4.1.2 Rom Europe / German N7000XXLSA N7000OXALSA on my UK Galaxy Note today, just to see what it's like and I think it's a big improvement all round and look forward to the official UK version to be released.

Anyone else tried it?
After install once the language has been changed from German to English you would think it's the UK version!
However I did find the one thing that's missing is in the 'SETTINGS' the 'CALL' section has gone, so unable to choose to 'hide' mobile number etc and unable to choose what button to press to answer the phone.
Anyone else spot anything else or maybe the call settings are there and I missed them?

Update...the CALL settings are there after all!
When you goto make a call on the keypad, push the bottom left pad and the settings are there, just not in the main menu!

No.. you will need to be on a stock official ICS non rooted for OTA... but root will do using kies

why are you guys so desperately want the official update via Kies or whatever. You allready committed a sin by flashing leak version of JB. :silly:
Just go to sammobile, download the newest firmware avilable, put the files in odin, flash and voila!!
