Stock Music player on xxlsa duplicates media files on sdcard - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just updated to the latest jb leak xxlsa and I noticed the music player duplicated media files on external sdcard. Unmounting the sdcard, clearing data for media storage and music player, and manually deleting the duplicates didn't work. Any help on this?

That's an old bug that apparently is still present. Among others that's a reason why not to use the stock mp3 player. I recommend Poweramp which has it's own library.

Try mobo player
Hi,
I you get this error about Could'nt play requested track from Music player, you should go to Settings/App/All apps, find Media Storage and clear data. After you should wait a bit, untill it recheck all your music, maybe do some reboot. Or just remove/insert your sd.

[Q] Media storage on ALL JellyBean Roms

Cannot see any of my media (music, images, etc) on any JB rom...
Most people respond by telling me to delete the .nomedia file (which I dont even have on my sdcard) or deleting the media storage (of gallery and apollo) which also doesn't do anything
Can someone who has solved this problem, explain how they solved it

Try to put your songs on some other SD card. Maybe is SD card problem. Some stock players doesn't load from internal memory.

Somebody have to get that your problem, then to fix it. And then he can halp you. To me stock music player is working fine, see all songs that was before on SD card. And I can't tell you what to do. So try yourself, or wait to someboy with same issue that has been fixed.
Now I'm no expert but did it work before or just happening recently..? I so then try "re-checking" your Music Player's Settings - maybe you did something wrong... or trying clearing the data/cache from Setting > Apps > Music....
Maybe you have bad/unacceptable mp3 files. Try media converter from google play l (or similar software for pc) and convert all your media files on .mp3 (I know they are already .mp3 but the software will convert them into a standard version). I had the same problem and I recommend media converter from play

i cleared data/cache with no help,
let me try media convertor
@alex
google play link of best media convertor?
Just search media converter on gp and click on the 1st one(it should be developed by Ansha Team). It is free!!!

Verify if there is no '.nomedia' files at sd root or inside any mp3 folder. If there is, delete it and remount sdcard.
Obs: To actually see the file u need some explorer that show hidden files.

Walkman doesn't see any of my music

Hello all.
I can't get the walkman app to show any of my music from my ext SDcard. The app just shows the 6 default sony songs from internal/music.
When I put the MP3s in the internal/music with the other 6 files nothing happens.
What I tried:
- Reboot
- Clear data/cache on walkman
- Clear data/cache on media storage
- Check for .nomedia (not there)
- Unmount/remount SD card
Any ideas?
Thanks
edit: nvm, it took almost 30min for the songs to show up after clearing data/cache/remount

[HELP]Buf?! Memory problem ? Google Play Music

Hi there i'm facing a little non annoying thing with google play music on my n6 CM13.
GPM says that i have 1.8gig of downloaded music but
The thing is the same even if i delete the app data, which in the download section say that it is using 1.3 gig but there's no files in /data/data
So if i choose to download on storage my playlist which is around 500mb it will be added to the 1.3 gig and so give it a 1.8
but there's no other music in the /data/data/[GPM]/file folder than the ones on playlist
is this "normal" ?
can it be because of those mp3 encryption and so when restoring a backup the files get not deleted but lost somewhere and downloaded again?
I've just realize that when restoring a backup and my only playlist was downloading again at boot showing the 1.3 gig....
Is this possible to have such a memory loss???
