Froyo 2.2.1 problem with teathering Any solutions ? - Samsung Galaxy Mini

Hello Guys... I have a problem with my samsung galaxy mini...I have froyo 2.2.1 the problem is on teathering, wireless tether disconnects every 10 minutes, any solutions please ?

I'm afraid there aren't many people on XDA that still use froyo... Try updating to Gingerbread!

Froyo is way too outdated. I recommend you update to gingerbread. Use the search bar for the tutorial

However Thanks...There is no chance to fix this ?

Have you rooted your device? Then perhaps try an app like "wireless theter". There are more third party apps like this, maybe even for unrooted devices. But if you possibly can you should really update to Gingerbread! Believe me, it's worth the trouble!

I assume you're still on original Samsung stock firmware? If yes, have you 'rooted' it? Then try one of the above apps I mentioned.
Or try cyanogenmod as firmware. Version 7.2 has a flawless working thether.
Succes!

(yes i meant xxkb3) i reflashed my phone but it didn't solve it !
None of us have SOD problem with this FW. May be u can just try with your original stock FW, if available for flash.

Flash twice just to be on the safe side.
And yeah, As Tripin said, No one's received this SOD issue in XXKB3. Unless you said XXKp9, then i can vouch.
my xxkb3 has shut itself off before, maybe happens about once a month or so..
It is not SOD (where phone appears to be off) -- but really off -- from doing research a while back, I discovered that it is known issue on 2.2.
For me it is minor annoyance -- no more.
okéé i think i'm gonna wait for the gingerbread rom !!

What ROM? Try to flash your kernel from another ROM.
Sorry that I up this thread, but I can say I have the exact same problem but with Gingerbread 2.3.4.
My phone is only rooted. No mods or so, a few apps that need root access, that's all. But it had this issue from the beginning, even without root or any non-stock app.
It seems like when I either turn on Wifi or Bluetooth and turn it off and on again in a very short time, it can't be used anymore until I reboot the phone. Waiting more than 10 seconds before turning Wifi/bluetooth on after it was set off doesn't give this issue. Then it only happens one or two times in a week.
When I have my new phone completely in shape I'll start some testing with the Galaxy Mini to see how to get rid of this issue.
Happens the same here. And this problem sucks!

No problems here... on 4.1.2 LSC. it's called Allshare Play and you must have wifi switched on for it to work.
If that still doesn't work there might be something corrupted in your ROM, you may need to restore factory settings or reflash the ROM.

[Q] Installing jelly bean on S Advance

hey guys,
i just had a couple of questions regarding the upgrade of S advance to jellybean via odin..I'll appreciate any help that i can get..
1. is there any chance that i might brick the phone during the process?
2. if i do manage to flash jb successfully on my device, do i void my warranty?
3. i have read somewhere that once jb is installed,i might face some network problems and problems in video playback. are these common?
thanks in advance guys..
Rushil
1. Very small... but yes (if you install wrong firmware, have the wrong device (i9070p), disconnect during installation)
2. No, it does not increase the binary counter.
3. No
Thanks.. Just one more thing... Do i have to reset my phone to factory settings before or after the update, if at all?
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda app-developers app
It's recomended but you can skip and do that if something goes wrong.
Running jellybean now flashing process went smoothly. . Hopefully no problems occur later ...fingers crossed
Thanks a lot guys, for all the help..

Rom manager

I heard from a thread that using rom manager bricks this phone if you have a partitition and I'd bought the premium version before partitioning my sd card, just want to ask, is this true?
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
Why would u use that - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942957 !!!
Go on CWM, its healthier for our Ace!
It has nothing to do with having a partition or not.
It bricks the phone anyways. Better remove that app, its dangerous if you don't know what functions of it can be used safely.
Oh, so the whole thing bricks it? Why is that, also I am using cwm anyways

Mostly the motherboard i think, people reported that they had to get new a motherboard installed in order to unbrick it.
Hmm, that's confused me, I thought it would have broke it system wise. I know how to flash, root, etc, but I'm not exactly sure how they all work, but I thought that flashing just overwrit the system+os. So two questions, when you root/flash does that interact with the hardware in anyway and how?

Rom manager ... flashes new recovery ... with wrong mounting points ... making your phone useless it will be like having the light switch of your kitchen in your bed room and your bed room light switch on your attic ... know what i mean? Nothing will work !! Since the phone will change the mp to points that dont exist on your phone.
Just flash cwm from stock recovery or from odin and you'll be ok
