proximity sensor unstable working - HTC Desire C

my search does not turn the screen turns off, How do I close a proximity sensor?

I'm also having some troubles with the proximity sensor. It works randomly (specially in the dark) and sometimes after calling or VOIPing I have to flick the phone or turn off/on the screen to be able to hang up.
Is there an option to tweak the sensitivity of the sensor?

[Q] Disable proximity Sensor

Hi...
Does anyone knows if there is a way to disable the proximity sensor on a Milestone??? or better yet.. recalibrate it..
I have replaced the glass after having smashed the old one.. and now the phone always think the proximity sensor is activated..
my stone,too .
anybody help us? please!!! i lov my stone!
So, ur phone is thinkin' that sensor activated? If that has mean only in dialer, try installing this program: myLock phone tools and set there "Onscreen Accept", "Onscreen Reject" and "Touchscreen lock", that should help u.
I am having same problem, proximity sensor isn't working properly, once screen goes off, can't drop the call. Is there any script or app which can disable prox sensor completely. I am using Android 2.1 rooted phone.
Thank you very much in advance.
same problem
Same problem here my proximity doesn't works, if I call or I attend call screen gets black
None of the keys works at this time. I found an app in market called 'proximity screen off' but as its an app It eats ram & it needs to run anytime in background I need a permanent solution.
Somebody have any idea to disable this sensor using

I used Proximity Sensor Finder app from market to test my sensor.

Proximity sensor - help pls

Hi all. I own a i9000 running aokp milestone 6 but decided to buy a faulty i9000 on ebay just for a bit of fun really.
The problem is when making a call the screen stays black or freezes and won't respond. The call stays connected so no way to hang up.
I installed "Proximity sensor finder" on my own i9000 which worked great. (0cm when sensor is on, 5cm when off). Tried this on the damaged phone and it stays at 5cm but still shows "proximity sensor: available". I have replaced the proximity sensor with a new one but didn't do anything. Also tried it on stock rom and AOKP milestone6.
Any ideas folks? Would really like to get this working.

[Q] how to disable proximity sensor?

my touchscreen got cracked and i had to install a new screen assembly and probably the new screen has some problem with proximity sensor or while installing the proximity sensor got covered by the adhesive finally the proximity sensor shows up as always ON. i want to disable this completely. so how do i do this in z1. iam using the new kitkat build. the gsm.proximity.enable=false in build.prop isnt working. hardware disabler app dosent scan anything in / directory. and ive tried using xprivacy to block phone app from accessing the sensors it wont work either..as soon as i make a call the screen goes off the only way to get my screen on is when the other caller hangs up and the call has completely ended.
someone help me plz

[Q] How to disable Proximity Sensor?

I gave my phone to the service center because the CPU got damaged along with the screen.
After that the proximity sensor doesn't work properly. Whenever I call someone it switches off the screen and I can't wake up the screen. I gotta wait for the other person to hung up the phone. I deleted my APDS9702 driver to disable the Proximity Sensor but still it dosen't work. Any solutions?

iPhone 12 LCD Flex Cut

Hello ,
Well i opened my Iphone 12 and tried to fix the Cameras (because it has a black dot while trying to get a picture) and unfortunatly i closed the LCD and forgot to screw the Metal thing over the camera flex . So i tried to reopen the LCD again and when i pulled the screen all cables were cut
On iPhone 12 LCD there are 3 cables . 2 for the LCD and 1 for the Proximity Sensor and the Ear Speaker.
When i tried to put a spare LCD and power up the Phone , the Apple logo appears for 2 seconds and then dissapears and i have a black screen , but the phone is still open , because the sounds and vibration works fine . The thing here is that i havent a proximity sensor to connect because its also cut .
So the question here is :
Does the phone works without proximity sensor ? Or i have to put a new spare proximity sensor flex to check if the new LCD works fine ?
Is the proximity sensor the reason i have black screen ? Or i damaged the phone ?
Thanks in advance ,

It was the Proximity Sensor ... I bought a spare part from the internet and used soldering iron for the speaker .
Works perfect without face id .
I see that you already worked on getting the thing done.
This happened because as the Proximity Sensor was damaged, the phone could not detect it, so the brightness is leveled at minimum or none. Samething happens when you turn the phone on while the flex Proximity Sensor cable is disconnected.
