Anyone know if Vertimus theme will work on this device?
Or are there any other similar themes?

The closest I've found is Pandoriam ROM with the moto theme.

I have it as an option in the aroma options for my rom so I know it does work, if you download it from his thread you will need to change the updater script so it mounts the correct permissions to flash the theme.

Theme working on gt-i9305t
I have this theme working ok for over 2 weeks
[THEME] BlackandColors v1 EDITION BLUE, EDITION RED JelyBean by Eladios
you can find it in Galaxy S III Themes and Apps
the only app i had reflash was Camara_SGNT2+Galeria_Acura2201 to get gallery working again

Any chance you could make it a stand alone flashable zip to use on any ROM mate?

If you give me the updater script file I will give it back to you in the correct format so you just inject it back into the the zip file then you can flash it no problem
Its not really worth making a Whole new version because of a 4kb file so much easier to edit and replace it I mean feel free to upload it in our Dev thread once I fix the updater script file I am sure the dev has already given permission for us to use it, you may like to ask him just incase its up to you
I am pretty sure all the JB 4.1.1 themes from I9300 work on the I9305 just need the updater scripted edited

Flashed to Pandoriam and lost 3G/4G
Hey, I'm a total n00bcake so I'm happy to cop abuse if this is a totes idiotic question, so here goes.
I flashed to the latest version of Pandoriam, and it installed fine and was easy to use. I really like the look of it too.
Only thing is that while it connected to my wifi fine and could make a normal phone-call, it couldn't access 3G or LTE services. I tried doing a speedtest.net test on it after disabling wifi connectivity, and it came up as a network issue. I then installed Telstra's 24/7 app and that too couldn't access my account details over the network.
Of course I checked that I had mobile data selected in my drop-down menu. And toggled it on and off a few times to see if that would make a difference. Nothing.
Any idea what I might have missed?
I'm with Telstra in Australia. I've since restored to a backup I made after first rooting the phone. Keen to get back to the ROM though. :-/

That would be awesome mate, thank you. Is the file you need called themeinstaller.sh? Sorry I'm just learning all this.
Or maybe you could download the theme and edit the bits needed to work on our device? Then you can upload in the development thread, I'm sure you'll make a lot of people pretty happy.
Thanks bro

Flashed to Pandoriam and lost 3G/4G *update*
Re-flashed and chose a stock kernel instead of Perseus. Everything working tikkedy-boo now, which is totes awess.
Not sure what I'm missing out on, but happy all the same.

I had same issue with this rom and realised, mobile data settings were incorrect. A reset of settings through network did the trick!

Can I just double check this is right please, any help would be great!
I have located the updater-script in Vertimus theme and found this:
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p12", "/data");
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p9", "/system");
Do I just need to change it to this to work on the i9305..... or is there other things I need to change aswell?......
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p16", "/data");
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p13", "/system")
I'm a noob when it comes to this so I could be totally wrong but thought I'd give it a go

downloaded, did the wipe and tried to install. said it wasn't verified. so i turned off verification and am installing it this way, ill let you know how it goes.
installation was successful. everything seems to be working.
one question to the forums, and i hope i dont offend the OP, but if the ROM is not signed, and since i had to install it without verification, does this mean it is more likely that the creator has added something "bad" to the ROM? Again, im not trying to offend you OP, just gotta make sure you know.

You know what would be cool. If someone made a lockscreen using the stargate. And you had to dial a stargate address to unlock the screen. That would be awsome.

Even if its signed there is a possibility of something bad, as you put it. Anyone could create a key and sign it. I don't believe there have been any malicious roms but that is what the community is here for. I'm sure ppl smarter then myself disect everything in a Rom to make sure nothing is malicious. Props to OP will be testing tonight.

In the end, theres really not too much one could do to watch for "bad stuff." I don't even know what bad stuff you'd be looking for though, keyloggers? If theres one of those, all you'd have to do is double check the input section to make sure it's a legit IME. Other than that, ATK would help you look for anything else.
The fact of the matter is most of these roms just aren't signed, unless you're building from aosp, or you take the keys out of the rom that you're modifying.

[MOD] Stop MMS in your Call Logs - JS5, JS7, KB1 Tested

Fix to Get Rid of the MMS Notification in your Call Logs
Apologies about the brief post earlier today, was at work and a bit of a hurry. Here is a more detailed method.
This was created from the JS5, i9000 source, but has been confirmed to also work on JS7 and KB1.
This will not remove exisiting notifications, but will stop new ones from popping up.
I do not take credit for the original fix, my source is listed below.
Clockwork Flashable zip file below to apply this fix, the steps are listed because I was asked for the process, but if you just want the mod, just flash the file at the bottom of this post.
This assumes you have knowledge of apkmanager or apktool to decompile the apk's, and notepad++ or another way to compare and edit the smali's. Those are lessons for another thread.
I happened upon this thread this morning over in Vibrant Q&A: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=988929
Which led me here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=853177 (Go Hit mammon88's thanks button)
-Grab the LogsProvider.apk from the Epic thread, second one linked, and decompiled using apkmanager.
-Move that file somewhere else, maybe even rename the folder, you won't need it again, and it will be the example folder/files.
-Take the LogsProvider.apk from your rom, and decompile with apkmanager or similar program.
-Inside the decompiled apk, using the one in the apkmanager folder here, not the Example Folder, browse to \smali\com\sec\android\provider\logsprovider, and open the LogsProvider.smali with notepad++ (that what I recommend using)
-Now from you Example Folder, drag the corresponding smali file to notepad++, and it will be in a new tab.
-In notepad++, hit Plugins->Compare->Compare, and the differences in the files are highlighted.
-Recreate the edits in the example to your main file, and save.
-Recompile the apk being sure to delete the classes.dex in the process.
These steps may/will work for comparing and editing other files, but be cautious. I didn't go in blindly and say "Eureka" on the first differences I saw. I compared every smali and xml, being cautious in editing, and got lucky on my first shot. Thankfully this apk only has a handful of smali files, first one I've ever decompiled that had less than 40. If you follow my steps, don't hold me responsible if it doesn't work, especially if you failed to make a backup.
The zip below is flashable via Clockwork Recovery. Backup as always, cause hey, it happens.
*Hits the thanks button when I get home*

Don't see how that is possible, it works on mine. Flash the file, it will not erase existing notifications, but new ones will now show up, read the OP please.

Thats interesting. I thought that Bionix 1.3.1 was KB1 (Android 2.2) based. Well hell, as long as it works, although be on the lookout for the odd issue or two, as this was sourced from the European i9000 JS5 port, and is all I've tested it on. Thx for the confirmation.

[Mod] How to make Google Talk video work on 3G

For those of you using Kenneth's rom (me) or with some other way of working Google Talk video calls, I found a way to make it work over more than just wifi. I can't take the slightest credit for it, but considering that I couldn't find any Atrix specific information, I figured I would post this here. Worked great for me!

Excellent this works. You don't need Root Explorer neither "SQLite editor". Both costs money and does not anything in addition what free "SQLite explorer" will do.
This is confirmed as working for me on Kenneth ROMs.
Has anyone tried using the "easiest" method, [root] Talk 1.3 Installer? I tried using a few of those versions, following the instructions to restore back to the backed up Talk app, and none of them worked for me.... Don't know if it was something I did wrong, or what, but I'm not going too far out of my way to fix this when VTOK works sooooooooooo well, even over data!

I hear what you're saying, but I don't think installing a modified Talk app would brick the phone....... I have been wrong before though, so do what feels safer for you! I've swapped a few of them out and had no success, but also haven't had any serious issues like bricking the phone either.... I know going to a few of those will remove your Google account and all you have to do is re-enter your login and the phone will begin downloading all your mail, Picasa account, and Voice account back to it, which takes less than 5 minutes with a decent signal
I tried this app errors out swaying can't copy talk.apk

Yeah I can't imagine as likely either, but some of them sounded like they were messing with mounting and un-mounting system partitions in odd ways. Besides, it sounded like way more work to find one of those that worked, restart and flash multiple times, and so on, than to simply edit one word I would make an Atrix-specific flash for everyone if I knew how it was done, but sadly I don't.
To anyone that does know how: just make a zip that edits that one line in the .db file mentioned in the link of the first post. The app doesn't actually need updating.
As easy as this change is, I don't see the benefit of installing another app to perform the change. Also, I recommend paying for the SQL Lite and (I used root Explorer) apps if you find yourself using them for these types of changes. The developers should be supported when they provide tools that make it so easy to modify the Android system. Lets keep them motivated to continue making such awesome tools.
I can also confirm this worked on the leaked 4.5.91 (beta 4.5) from Kenneth.
Good find!!

Don't use any installers at all. All you need is already on the ROM. You have to go back to original ROM and follow guide above with no additional binaries installed from any other sources.

the modaco installed version does not work. if you used kenneth's GB ROM, then you already have the files. go into your system/app folder, rename talk.apk to talk.bak and rename talk2.apk to talk.apk. that's it.
I've factory reset, flashed redpill and tried again with kenneth one and still can't get the video to work. Doing nothing but installing gtalk.
I get the icon but when trying to start the video, the video chat process crashes and creates a core file.
Not really sure how to debug it further than opening the tombstone.
As the crash is systematic regardless of my ROM, may I ask what Radio are you guys using? I'm on 4.5.91,

I flashed Kenneth ROM then radio. Radio is 4.5.91. No video icon at first.
Then delete talk.apk, renamed talk2.apk to talk.apk, install new talk.apk and video icon appeared and started working on WiFi only.
Then edited database to allow to work over cell data and now it works over cell data as well.
I did not do anything else except from steps above and made it work with no crashes.

Thanks! That was the issue (I reflashed), the lib coming with the rom allows camera to come through.
Putting that file (attached) in /system/lib should resolve the issue for people who like me overwrote it (or used the Talk installer).

[Q] Who would like me to build a clean rooted stock ROM? [Solved!]

Hi,
I've seen some people requesting just a clean, rooted stock ROM, without any other alterations. Recently I've started to play around with dsixda's Android kitchen and figured it's not that hard to build a zip from a generic .195 with just root added. It can also be deodexed to allow for theming.
If there's enough people to say "Yes" on the poll I can release it in the next few days.
I know I don't have a lot of posts so you might be wary about flashing something I've built but I've been on these forums for years, read a lot and have experience flashing lots of devices, including Galaxy S (II), Archos 80 G9 and several HTC WinMo devices.
After getting my Xperia T I became interested in removing the T-Mobile branding so flashed gregbradley's Assaye-V0-0-3. Then I removed some more bloat and added back the Skyfall theme, built it using the kitchen and flashed. So now I have my "own" little ROM which works brilliantly.
And of course I would test the build myself before releasing it.
Definitely interested in this ! Hope more people will answer the poll !
Yes please! I like to give Sony a chance before I ditch their stuff and so far I'm loving the Sony experience. A clean untouched ROM with root access would allow me to keep that experience but allow me the freedom to make my own tweaks!
Clear rooted stock ROM
I really enjoy the experience of UI of a Stock ROM and I would love to keep the same features and design + gaining a root access to get full experience of certain apps like Airdroid & Avast. Can't wait for your working clean, rooted stock ROM
Hope you will launch the tx version!
Keep going

ya of course, we will wait for that
but please release for Xperia TX too.
thank you very much, dude
I think I'll have a build ready tomorrow.
About the TX, I can't test it myself and I'd have to look into the differences. Maybe later.

Has anyone tested android kitchen on windows 8.

Well, I haven't and this isn't really the thread to ask that
Sorry people but it may take a little longer than I thought. I could be in way over my head with this. Had the build ready after some trouble with updater-script and update-binary from the kitchen so replaced those with the ones from gregbradley's V0-0-3. The flash went fine, root works and I haven't had any issues except the big one that wifi won't turn on. I know greg had the same problem but he took his fix offline from the topic so I can't see what the problem is exactly. Don't really have the time right now to do further troubleshooting.

You need to add the wifi modules into system/lib/modules
I have attached the file here

Building new zip right now. But there's already a symlink wlan.ko pointing to /system/lib/modules/prima/prima_wlan.ko? So why doesn't it work?
The rooted rom is ready but I see that greg already beat me to it :$
Could've said something...
Well, I'll go ahead and make a deodexed one.
Unlike gregbradley I will put in a superuser app, namely ChainsDD's, just for ease.

I'd love ro see a deodexed version for the TX please...
The TX is a great device, but I'm really feeling like a red-headed stepchild with the TXs lack of development and support.

I am sure once TiMiN8R has deodexed the rom for the T he will do one for the TX. Its only a few updater files that need changing to make one for the TX.
In the mean time you could try my TX deodexed rom, I am still looking for confirmation it works properly. follow the link in my signature.

No harm, no foul. To me this is more about the learning experience than getting a ROM out or anything.
My deodexed build goes into a boot loop and adb doesn't see the phone so I have no idea what's going on. Could have something to do with the playstationcertified.apk that can't be deodexed?
For now I'm focussing my attention and limited time on the T, since I can use those efforts for myself but I'm not ruling out releasing something for TX some day.

No its not to do with that, That would not deodex for me in the kitchen either, I just left it odexed.
What else did you do in the kitchen?
Nothing. I used the same working directory as the rooted Rom, which works fine. Deodexed and build (zipalign, make zip, sign). Tried reflash but with same. result.

hmm, maybe you need to edit the updater script again. Not entirley sure but I started completely from scratch on each of the builds i did.

Roms that currently can be flashed on AT&T S5

So while we wait for the 'Development' area to start filling up with new Roms, I opened this thread for people to share what they have found it currently works from other S5 Forums.
So far I have tried and work:
* Alliance Rom (From the T-mobile Forum) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2748569
* Stock International from the International Forum ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2761682)
* X-Note from the International Forum also works (after removing the Aroma stuff and editing the META-INF folder, Thanks @Skizzy034 for the hint)
* Vision-X http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797336
* Alvin's Stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2791067
You have to setup the APN after installing the Roms
*** IMPORTANT***
If you lose root on when installing International ROMS, use 'towelroot v1' to root v3 seems to not work sometimes.
I posted this in the safestrap thread. It will help out for this thread also:
(Aroma Based Roms)
You can. You just have to take the stuff you want out of the optional aroma install folders and place them in the corresponding /system folders such as /system/app. Then you have to edit the stuff in the meta-inf folder or, easier, replace the meta-inf folder with one from a non-aroma based rom, then just flash as normal.

I did not have to change anything on the Alliance Rom, but for the International you need to add the APN info.

I wasn't able to get mobile data working out of the box, didn't know the apn settings so restored stock to get apn settings will report back.

I download a stock G900F rom , cook it with ArchiKitchen with ANCE modem.bin (need to specify boot and modem block). Modify others.xml for displaying NFC icon, disable shutter sound, and enable recording. Also modify customer.xml to make AT&T's default APNs (except FOTA and security strings) so data works right after the first boot. Disable Knox with Archi and no more annoying notification.
Totally stock.
Didn't check root yet but I believe it might have gone? I did not root my rom so I suspect it might have gone?
EDIT: Check with Root Checker and the it doesn't appear to be rooted.
I've been able to flash most ROM's from the international forums, as long as they have stock kernal and I take out the Aroma stuff, only problem I've noticed on every one of them is SuperSU binary fails to update, don't know if it has something to do with safestrap or what.
We need and stock deodex rom for full theming and tweak lets see if @bri315317 will hop one the s5 att since now we have SS

I can confirm that the Allience ROM from the Galaxy S5 is working: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2716535
It appears you need to add the AT&T APN: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2697270
See Q13 for APN settings. Good luck everyone, and let the flashing games begin. Maybe someone needs to start a thread where the rest of the ROMs can be added and modified to work with the AT&T GS5, and take out the aroma stuff.
Did I miss a thread about SS and flashing this phone?

Flash the SuperSU zip. I think it's 1.94+ or something like that. You can find it in XDA somewhere or Google it. I would link it but I'm not sure where to find it. You just flash it in recovery.

Carlos,
No chance of me buying an AT&T device. However, if you throw a base my way and someone was willing to test I would be willing to throw some Dynamic Kat love yalls way.
