Blurex or Poetic Multi Angle Case? - Nexus 10 Accessories

Can anyone speak for the build quality of these two companies? The Blurex case is almost 3x the price as the Poetic and the only difference I can see is the latch that holds them closed.
Blurex $18.50 - Poetic $6.95

They are the same it seems.

The Blurex has a Built-in Sleep / Wake Feature. The Poetic doesn't. Which I'm assuming is the reason why it's priced higher. They both should be the same build quality.

If that's the only difference, the sleep/wake function is triggered by a magnet about 30mm to the left of the front facing camera. Should be easy enough to add one yourself.

Although Poetic does not include the auto wake/sleep feature in their product description, but I think / hope that they will include it. Their hardback case for nexus 7 also never mention the auto wake/sleep in the description, but the feature is there.
Poetic hardback nexus 7

I own that same Blurex case for my Nexus 7. It's incredibly well-built and feels like it should be a $30 or $40 case, even though it only cost me $15.
I also own a Poetic case for the Nexus 7, although not in the same style as the one you linked to. It's build quality is very cheap and it doesn't hold up to wear and tear nearly as well as the Blurex case does.
Definitely go with Blurex.

I'm currently using this:
http://www.casecrown.com/kindle-fire/hard-cover/case-black
which is working fine but would like a book style case where the cover also doubles as a stand...similar to this one, which I have for the iPad:

Would even go for one in leather if Yoobao made one.
What's the best case under thirty dollars

I just ordered the yoomee case from amazon.
its only $6, techincically its for the fire, but fits the nexus perfectly, and even has a strap that you can put a magnet under turning it into a smart cover
geek.com has the article, but I can't post the link because i am a noob to the forums.
it will work until they start making quality cases that are form-fitted correctly.

I had one of these on a work iPad as well, really liked the case...really hated the iPad. I have the stock N7 case but I think this would be better.
Interesting. Looks great. Does the cover fold back properly? I ordered a Poetic smart case similar to this and fearing it won't lay flat when folded back.

Oh it works perfect. I just love the case. I will keep y'all informed if they contact me again about it.

Looks awesome! This is exactly the sort of case I'm looking for. I like the fact that the stock case fits the look and feel of the tablet, but it didn't seem to fold back properly, and I'd rather buy a case that has built in magnetic functionality.
Do you know if they ship to Australia? Every case I've found so far that fits my wants (unobtrusive, doesn't cover the bezel, looks decent, has magnets) can't be shipped to Australia.

this probably would have been the case i got if it had come out with the nexus. i've already ordered 3 other cases so gonna have to skip this one.
What ever happened to this case? I've been holding off on buying a case until this one came out but I'm starting to think I may have to look elsewhere.

I was looking for an invellop case too and found this one instead for my Nexus 7. It's the Poetic Slimline case. Only 1.7 cm thick. It's really sharp looking with a magnetic opening too.

Looking for Slim/Thin Case w/ stand + autolock

Hello,
I am looking to buy a slim, light, non-bulky case for my nexus 7 that has something that can stand it up at an angle(and preferably an automatic lock/unlock function). I have already bought and tried the blurex slim folio tablet case, but it feels very bulky when you have the front cover folded around the back, which is the position that I will be using most if the time.
I saw the poetic slimline case on amazon and it looked perfect until I saw that it had cheap material. If anyone could recommend a case similar to this one, or give feedback on your personal experience with this case, please do.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
Ah, I was just about to recommend the poetic slimline until I read the rest of your post. Thats the only one that really matches your description. There might be others, I'm not sure though. Im not sure on the materials though of the case.

The Nilikin Stylish ones look nice but I have a couple questions. Is it a smart cover? Meaning will it autowake the Nexus 7? Also is the cover held shut at all? I mean when it's closed are there any magnets that keep the cover closed? Similar to the Poetic cover which does?

Yes, it is a smart case.. but no, it won't shut completely, front flap is not secured.

Looks very nice, especially the grey version. When you fold the cover flap flat to the back, does it stick somehow? I hate how the covers usually just flap around when folded back. That's my biggest pet peeve with cases.

When I bought my Nexus 7 at Tesco I also bought a 'Port Phoenix II' which is a universal case for a 7" tablet but holds my Nexus 7 perfectly.
It is a black nylon like fabic which folds like a book and also holds the Nexus 7 vertically in landscape mode with two positions.
It cost £14.99 and I consider it very good value.

Yea saw those to but since it had mostly good reviews and a low price I bought it any way.
And well both those two are down sides of "smart covers" with magnets. In the worse case if I have the same problem I'll remove the magnets. I'm used to wake it up with the start button any way.
I have this cheap one from Ebay and LOVE IT! Great quality, slim, and works like a charm.

I've got that case (Purchased from that listing) and I don't get the problem of it turning the screen off when folded behind. Although I have on a different case, not on this one. No idea about the compass.
Poetic Slimeline
There's a case on Amazon made by Bluerex selling for $15.99, with a screen protector included. (I can't post a link because I'm too new to the forum).

Veox Smart Cover

I'm a bit particular about cases/covers for my devices, and this is the third I've bought for my Nexus 7. But I really am pretty pleased with this one. I've also got a Poetic slimline, and the official Nexus travel cover.
This is a slim folding smart cover from "Veox". Purchased via Amazon in the UK. Cost £19.95, so not cheap. The back is a very thin, fairly flexible plastic, so hopefully it won't crack at the corners like some cases do. The front cover is a lightly textured vinyl, which isn't pretending to be leather. Inside the front is the usual fabric. The wake/sleep magnet functions perfectly, and isn't putting the tablet to sleep when folded right back. It's a little unsteady in the perch & type positions, but I expect that to improve as the cover loosens up a little. And all the ports, mics, etc. are catered for (on a WiFi model).
A few pics for you folks to peruse. Maybe this case is available in other markets under a different name.

wow this is the first ive heard of this cover but I think this is the closest ive seen in terms of a thin frame with the smart capabilities. The poetic and and others still have a very thick case holding the tablet which im not a fan of, but this looks very nice and thin. Do you have a link by chance?

This case does look great. I have one question: does the cover stay closed when it faces down? I have a Poetic slimline case. It doesn't feel as high quality as this one, but it has 3 small magnets at the "right" side of the case (Nexus 7's button side) so it holds the cover. I really like that feature and I hope this one does, too.
This is very similar to the one I bought on ebay:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Fold-Magneti...0&var&hash=item4d089682dd&_uhb=1#ht_50wt_1139
Mine has a longer cover so it kind of wraps around and it probably stands a bit sturdier. Love this case
No, there's no retention for the cover, so it will flap open if you hold it on its edge or upside down. But to be honest, that doesn't bother me at all.

I've looked at that one too. A colleague has it. Felt a lot bulkier than this Veox one, and has a tendency to enable sleep mode when folded right back.

I must have a newer version than your colleague then because I have never had it sleep with it folded back...in fact that was the first thing I tested!
Interesting thing my room-mate notices with his rotating case from BestBuy (that does have the sleep issue with the cover folded back); if he has it in portrait mode when folding back it does not sleep and he can then turn to landscape without issue, but if he has it in landscape first it will sleep right away.
