Cherry pick list
* CyanogenMod's latest merges: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/status:merged+branch:cm-12.0,n,z
* CyanogenMod's Github: http://github.com/cyanogenmod
This is a kang of CM12 with cherry picks from CyanogenMod’s Gerrit Instance, compiled by a group of volunteers that enjoy learning about and building CyanogenMod and Android in general. All credit goes to cyanogen, #teamdouche and the coders who submit to Gerrit. Thank you to @RyanMacG for providing Euroskank hosting.
These builds are bleeding-edge, most comparable to a nightly build, and are not meant for inexperienced users. Things will be broken and crash from time to time, you need to accept that this isn't stable by any means before flashing. Nandroid as often as possible.
How to post useful, informative bug reports:
Sometimes dev's actually check out our threads, or sometimes we have a good relationship with a dev or two. These bleeding-edge builds will have issues, and having good information on what's broken is great feedback before a feature is merged. Here are some good bug reporting tips:
* No bug reports while using custom kernels or add-ons:
CyangenMod's own bug reporting tool does not accept bug reports from people using non-stock kernels for a reason, so why should we? CM can merge changes to their kernel causing custom kernels to break things until they catch up. Therefore, please do not post any bug reports while using a custom kernel or add-on such as Xposed Framework. Post your issues with custom kernels in their own respective threads as they are the ones who need to play catch up. Any bug report posted in this thread should be while running CM's stock framework and kernel, as this prevents unnecessary clutter.
* Gapps are not a CM issue:
CyanogenMod is built to run without the assistance of Google's proprietary apps (gapps). Having issues with your Google account and syncing is a gapps issue, not a CM issue. Please do not post about any gapps related issues, just wipe data and try a different gapps package.
* Posting about the same bug every build:
Beating a dead horse with "bug X still isn't fixed" posts just adds unnecessary clutter and provides no help into actually fixing the issue. Some bugs take days to squash, some take weeks. Please don't report the same bug every time a build is uploaded.
* Logs:
Provide logcats when applicable. Use a service like Pastebin and put a link to the log in the post. Please do not post logs directly to the forum.
If these requests are too demanding, there's good news! CyanogenMod is open source, so please feel free to download the source code, compile your own builds volunteering your time and resources, then start a thread and run it however you see fit. All we simply ask is that people post good, reliable information that can be passed on to a developer that can actually do something with it, making CM a better product for everyone involved.

I've been waiting for this since I first turned my N4 on. So excited to flash this later

YES!!!!! Had these on my Gnex and my N7 now my N4 can join the party :highfive:

So did our favorite kanger actually get a N4 or are you compiling blind at this point?

Nice to see Euroskank here ... I loved the bleeding edge builds on my GNex.
Questio for N4 ... What 4.2 Gapps are people using?

Hell yeah! Cherry picks are here!

Yeah, Gearheadcustoms got the N4....and God, I loved his builds for Nexus S.......let's flash this ***** now !

Excuse my ignorance (came from a One X), but what would make Jellybro a good choice over running vanilla CM?
Also I noticed the dev doesn't talk much, how does he/she respond to user questions? :silly:

I am curious, because I have downloaded both of those Gapps packages. What is the difference between the two? Would it matter which one you use? Do they both provide the same options? Thanks.

Not positive. I know the one I posted is a Lil bit bigger by about 5mb. I've used both and didn't see a difference. I'll have to redownload the one from kk and see what the difference is between the zips

Here's the quote that used to be on their Home page not so long ago :
"kanger [kahng-ger] noun : A person with enough skill to compile CyanogenMod from source, but generally does not have enough coding experience to provide fixes or support."
So, in short : flash this if you know what you're doing ; you like, good ; you don't, change.
Euroskank team don't consider themselves as developpers, but, well, real kangers....all the diffrence is here.
At least this is my understanding, correct me if i'm wrong.
And what make Jellybro a good choice is : Builds everyday (almost), as CM, right ; CHERRY PICKS, of course : what's in early stage in CM's repo and not yet merged officially .....and the placebo thing : there's more butter in Skanky stuff :silly:

Thank you. Great job!
Great work. Thanks for sticking with it.
I am happy you showed determination and not letting others dissuade you from bringing something to the community that is going to further our enjoyment of the Droid X!
Thanks!
I have more respect for you in not asking for donations although at this point, I would be more willing to give you a donation than kejar or jrummy. It seems they are only about the money.
Fyi, I regularly donate to devs so I don't have anything against donation at all. I just don't believe in donating to hard headed devs who are only about the money.

This is complete BS and you know it.... Nothing about any of the issues had anything to do with us being concerned about receiving donations.
I did have an issue with him re-posting our work and asking for donations though.. Because for the most part this ROM is Liberty with a theme.
To say he rebuilt the apps is a stretch at the least. All he did was use APKManager to decompile the app and delete folders. Themers for the most part do the same. To truly rebuild the apps he would need to build them from source as I did. If he would have reached out to me I would have sent him instructions on how build his own. Which I have offered and done, for others who have asked.
If you haven't noticed many of the features included in the Liberty toolbox are only available in pay-for only apps from Jrummy and while the app may be free on the market that doesnt not mean it is open source and free for other devs to use.
By him using our app he is also using our servers to assist him in the downloading of add-ons and themes, for his ROM. Servers which are already congested.
Do you not see a problem with any of this????
If he would have asked I don't believe that Jrummy would have been ok with him using the toolbox in his ROM. If he wanted to use the base I would have been fine.
Notice that we have been more than willing to help other devs with their ROMs on many occasions.
Examples:
Jrummy's overclocking script is in almost all DX and D2 ROMS
Rubix uses the GummyJAR base and apps and I was more than happy to help Drod2169 in doing so
Fission's latest build uses Gummy's framework and lockscreen tool and I helped Angdroid implement that.
I believe we would have been much happier if he would have removed the scripts and toolbox and just used the base. If this would have happened nothing would have been said.

DaVinci comes to mind...anyone?
I do not like the feel of this thread at all. You make it look like we harassed you trying to get you to delete the thread. Also, your red big bold that you use to tell people to not donate to you makes it look like all we are trying to do is get donations from people.
I do not make roms for money. If I did I would be a COMPLETE fool. After doing roms for about a year I can tell you that donations suck. I told Kejar at the beginning that I have always considered roms as free work. Why do I do it then? Because I love it. It's a great hobby and I do not do it for money at all and it has always been that way for me.
I have never spoken to you before. All I said about this rom was 2 things. One on twitter where I was upset that you didn't ask if you could use liberty toolbox before posting it up and the second was here:
Hey bro,
Next time just ask before basing a rom off of someones work. Instead of having multiple roms based on something, you should just contribute whatever work you do to the liberty team or start a rom from freash

i know you didnt harrass me. it was more the the community. i but that in big bold letters b/c i know how people love to just skim the op. by putting that in big bold letters im sure no one will miss it.. and you guys will get credit for the great work you did.. and i referred to that whole donation thing because kejar sent me a message saying he felt like i was posting your rom with a donation link under my name and possibly thought i was trying to snatch a few bucks. i just wanted to clear up that was by no means the case and just wanted to reiterate that.. i also completely undertstand you being upset that thats why i apoligized.. i dont want to start any drama either bro. its people in the community who start talking all this nonsense... if you wanna talk to me about this and work something out id be more then happy to on gtalk or twitter. just let me know. thanks for all your hard work.
Guys. Chill. Everyone.
I submit that this whole thing could have been handled differently. And should have been.
Clearly, Chingy was not trying to take credit for anyone's work, nor profit from it. He was just sharing his modifications with a group of people who don't like what the man delivered to us.
But in all reality, what harm was done? None.
I really love the Liberty ROM, and by extension the Incredibly Re-Engineered ROM. There are features in both that are down right awesome. I love them both.
Let's just wipe the slate clean, and move on. This is by far, greater than Moto/VZW have done. I believe we all agree on that.
Please, let's get along and make Android what it was meant to be.
We need free thinkers and developers to bring ideas to reality.
I use Liberty on my Droid X, and my Dinc had Incredibly Re-engineered. (Actually it still does)
I think one major thing that needs to be said is this:
The Droid X dev forums are NOTHING like the Dinc forums. We have very talented devs, I'm not saying we don't, but there aren't as many devs here. This is something that needs to be taken note of.. We can't afford to bash each other or dislike each other because there's not enough to begin with. If we want to continue improving this phone, we need to all work together. I'm not saying anyone bashed anyone, but I feel this had to be taken to heart.
Looks real good downloading now.
And lets all be friends.
Thanks to all 3 and i have bought jrummys apps and there quality but one request add more boot logos to logo changer maybe some google and htc logos.
Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Just asking. I hare drama so im just posting to get my post count up;-)

I have tried every ROM out the on my X,Inc,OG Droid, and EVO.... This is by far the quickest, cleanest, and most stable yet. Good job! That being said... F these haters, lets see them make their own ROM! I believe their all missing one big detail... EVERY ROM HAS BEEN RIPPED OFF OF THE ORIGINAL VANILLA ANDROID OS. Not saying its a bad thing but its the truth. If I knew how to create a ROM, this would be what I would have created. Just saying.... You don't like it down run it. More for me!
Half these haters are going to be rocking iPhones by the end of the month anyway! Have fun with you custom ROMS THEN!
Wonderful rom! I prefer this to everything out there so far, thanks for your work!

I been using this rom a few days now and I am very satisfied with it. Dont know exactly what he did or didnt do, but I personally think it runs a bit smoother than liberty or gummyjar even though it came from those 2 roms. keep up the good work.

OH NOOO...!! Stefan..

SHOOT.!!! looks like one of our good dev and contributor STEFAN was gone for good on XDA.. So SAD i'm one of the users who uses his ROMS.. so what now?? all the links of this rom is going to be dead, OH NO.!! Hope it's not too late to change STEFAN'S mind to stay..
THANKS FOR ALL THE HARD WORK ON THIS COMMUNITY.. :highfive:
As Stefan's thread got closed, I just whabted to post reply here to his proclamation about him leaving xda...hope op won't mind
I'm so sorry to hear this as you have done so much for our community
All I can say is that I totally understand and support your decision, as I know how do you feel right now. We are loosing a great developer (I don't care what other devs say/said, you are and always will be developer), but you should take care of yourself and think first what is good for you and your mental health
Nevertheless, again I would like to say BIG THANK YOU for all your work, ROMs, tweaks, your constant will to help users, your hard work with other developers...
I sincerely wish you all the best

Sad to hear this news,I have using Stefan's rom & kernel for very long time...Stefan is a very amazing developer IMO.
Well, since there is a thread about this now, I'll move my post from the offtopic...
Seeing Stefan leave XDA made it a very sad day for me, and I am sure for a lot of other people... I am not judging anyone in particular, and I do respect Stefan's decision (although I really hope he overreacted, and it's not final), but if what Stefan has been doing is "not proper for the community", then screw such community!
I am far from thinking that anyone would care much about what some noob has to say, but I am saying it anyway. This is so not cool, folks...

Too late, I am afraid... He confirmed it.
Wops, I just made a thread about almost the same. It took me a while to type everything! In that thread I want people to show their gratuity to Stefan http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2005303
Oh god why... Feeling little f**ked up now, IMO he was one of the best DEV's here
I totally understand his fustration about this: (I'm not going to tell who posted this to Stefan, everyone will find it out other ways)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
@Stefan your way of developing and communicating with other devs is not proper for XDA community
[...]
I highly encourage everyone to have proper git and well documented commits. If you dont do it, there arise two possibilities.
1. Either you dont know what the hell you are doing with sources OR
2. You are not a proper developer with xda spirit
------------------------------------------------------------
Let's think about whats wrong here?
1. I think everyone liked P990 ROMS/KERNELS that he does?
2. I think no-one get angry of his jokes about "P990-ICS leak hype"
3, Is there REALLY any P990 DEV that good and fast than he was?
4. If this is really so serious developent here, i think it's time for many many people to conside leaving this forum

This might mean we won't get proper guesteOC tool support on ICS after p990 kernel sources are released

No way!!
I can't beleive this! After silently reading in order not to ask noob questions, I never registered... Today I registered specially to thank Stefan for his great and noobproof work! Opening his thread about his Stock ics rom I was shocked!! IMHO Stefan along with Tony P make this community accessable to new people who want to know more about their device!
I think Harsh did a bit too much credit to his nickname!
So Stefan... I think you will be reading this... Thank you!!! And if you do reconsider... I will be looking forward to your posts!
By the way... I loved your work on the ICS stock Rom, but since yesterday I am now enjoying your 'Goodbye Rom' very much. It is indeed the best Rom I've used on my optimus 2x!! Too bad the name for that Rom is so appropriate!
goodbye!
A gratefull Noob

... and I don't think he'll reconsider... like he said, free development is supposed to be fun... if you're developping and helping for free and you have people complaining that you have to do stuff their way... why continue?
I know exactly how he feels... I'm also a developer and I constantly have the client complaining that I don't use the "right" identation, which means, I don't do identation the way they like it... but I'm paid! So I oblige. If I wasn't I would tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine.
Damn, during nightshift reading this "sudden dead" of Stefans contribution to the users
I'am gonna mis his contribution
All devs working on kernels and roms should share experience and tricks to make better roms... either selfmade or "stolen" (open source and WWW search).
Credits should be made to sources when develope or use them PERIOD
Creating roms etc. means also administration for keeping the used sources and that alone could be a pain in the *ss and very time consuming so i understand devs or very advanced users who lost track on the sources he used during tweaking them.
That leaves less developers for us but there are still enough for making us happy and at the end ICS or JB wil come to our great phone.
Thanks Stefan x1000000

Original devs would be proud if you use their code in your kernel, they will not stop you to use their code in your kernel if it benefits end user. But proper documentation using commit is a good gesture of saying thank you. I know you get lots of donations, but did you ever share a donation with wkpark or other dev whose IDEAs you are using? Your words !!
So it al comes down to this you ain't getting a piece of all the donations he might have recieved from others??

Sorry but you are on the wrong track. It is not about mentioning in a thread. It is about mentioning in commits. That's a different story IMHO.

Well I am not against Stefan, it was just about his way of putting up sources. Why dont you guys understand.
It was never about ROM, it was about kernel Source only.
And I am never jealous about anything, I have even refused some of donations by PayPal not accepting. So keep this to yourself.
And I am not gonna apologize for something I did not do.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

thanks for awsome work. can u check pie control again it's not working ....thanks
Beautiful looking rom. Signal latched on immediately. Unfortunately, living in So Cal, I'm a picture taking fool. Can't live without a camera. :crying:
This ROM is very nice. Can't wait till the cam gets fixed.
Is there an easy way to get themes? I searched for Carbon ROM themes, but only found a couple (and didn't really know how to get them onto the phone).
any cm-10.1 based themes should work on carbon.
I was using themes I already had for my Paranoid Android ROM, they all work fine.
I am seeing one more issue. When I try to do voice typing (i.e. pressing the microphone on the keyboard), I am getting the message that Google Search has stopped working. I tried doing a logcat, but can't seem to get it to work.
Edit: I just ended up installing Swype Beta and using that instead of the Android Keyboard.
thanks for all the feedback guys! it's coming along nicely.
also - there's now nightlies for you flashaholics. first one should be up in about 2 hrs and then after 10pm PST everyday after that.
thanks again!
I know that this has been a problem with all CM10 based ROMs, but i'm still having an issue with bluetooth not turning back on. I usually have to restart to get bluetooth to work after turning it off.
Also, when flashing one of your nightlies, do I need to wipe anything, or can I just install over the current version?

I also tried the newest nightly (date of the file was 22nd iirc). I didn't have all of the problems that v3rsatile23 was having, but no the camera wasn't working.
anyone know where i can get a cheap quincytmo to do my own testing? broken screen doesn't matter aslong as i can use it for devving. everyone on craigslist wants over $200. ebays no better, might as well buy retail.
I probably had a bad download or flash. But yeah camera for sure was a no go. And yeah craigslist and eBay are the only two places I know of... Ebay usually is better for devices with cracked screens with cheap prices. Only thing is not a lot of people have this phone. Have you tried amazon? Or best buy website? They might have some refurbished ones
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T879 using xda app-developers app
So the 4/26 nightly the camera comes on but the phone RR the first time then sod the second time... It connected to camera so that is a big step. Just goes haywire after that.

Hi
Well we do allow "Bounty" threads but they need to be clear and have specific goals:
The developer needs to be made aware, approve of the action, and post in the thread
In the same post as above, the developer should detail his intentions once the device/software/product/etc is obtained, and if possible a rough timeline.
The developer should have at least one or two major contributions to the community under his belt before any large donation thread is made,
There should be a clear statement from the developer and/or the thread starter that there is absolutely NO obligation on the developers part to release a final product.
Mike

Replay:
He got a lot big contributions: NEW GPU FOR G NEXUS-witout that galaxy nexus wont able to boot from 4.4+
Ported 3.4 to other tegra3 device
Almost no developer left on community, we will refresh things.
He is here to help us proting new 3.1 and to bringup 3.4
I'd be glad to help you guys, if I can get my hands on this device if someone could send me a spare one, that would be awesome (or I could buy one for about $100 locally).
My plans would be:
- bring up grouper's kernel to nv-3.1 (like I did on the Galaxy Nexus, with omap-3.0)
- become your CM maintainer, as I see it's not really maintained
- try to get 3.4 working
Proof of my previous work...
nv-3.1 kernel
nv-3.4 kernel
I'm their omni maintainer
Unfortunately, I no longer have access to that device (never had, used my father's one to mess with it, it was fun!), so I can't work on Tegra 3...
My Galaxy Nexus work: 1, 2 (first rom with the new shiny kernel + gpu driver), 3, 4 (I'm our CM maintainer), 5, 6...
nice so noone is interest as i can see -.-

I could try, as I have all the equipment needed for it (I'm using it on another device). Although I was able to get USB working without an UART cable on the A510/A700, since not much changed USB-wise between 3.1 and 3.4 /)
I have received an $5 donation for grouper. If I reach about $50, I may be able to buy one from eBay, or some bad condition one locally or I could give it to the one who offers me a spare one.
As i can see nobody care about this or eaven this tablet. Im stating new KANG project next weakend.
I just received another $30, now I can almost buy one of these so I'll watch out for a good offer and buy it if I find one

Good luck all for the kernel project.
I know @Ziyan from the galaxy nexus threads and his amazing work he bought to us there.
Fantastic to see you here helping out to bring another "old" device back to some more life.
I just bought a grouper in nearly new conditions from eBay Kleinanzeigen for 70€ including a case. Now I am following your work here on grouper forum.

I wouldn't be aware of any bugs on Lineage 17.1 (nor on Carbon for that matter), but we're using the same device sources as Lineage on Carbon, so if there was an issue with them, then you'd have them on Carbon too, yes.
Installed about a hour ago and all is smooth. The only issue, at least per my preferences, is getting the dark mode for the messages and phone apps. I may be missing this option, but possibly someone can point me in the right direction?
Thanks. Kudos to Carbon team and myself5. :good:
Worth the wait, loving extra features added in pax, going to be my daily driver. Thanks CarbonROM team.
