i just wonder how much bulk does it adds to this device

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2009162

The battery life is outstanding as it is.

+1 And the fact that this ext. battery is gonna cost almost $100, I'll pass. I'd rather spend $20 on a Hyperion and get the same results.

You could buy 2 extended batteries, and 4 stock sized batteries for that price, and have a little change left!!!

Do anyone knows that how much thicker compared to bare phone? I have bought a mugen ext battery for my note 1 and I found it too think to operate it single handed.
In note 2, I found the battery life has greatly improved, but it would be great to have an extra 30-50% increase in battery life would be enough for a full day use.
Thanks.

Im using Note II LTE 7105.
I wish to ask is N7100 using the same battery as N7105? well because i have bought a battery from ebay
http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/GOLD-4500...ht_2519wt_1139
and when i tell them im using Note II 7105 LTE, they reply me with this
"We understand that you would like to know if there's an issue with the battery because you purchased a N7100 battery where in fact your using N7105 LTE version.
The battery you purchased is compatible only for Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 not for N7105 LTE version.
May I know how do ou want to proceed with the transaction?"
Now this freaks me out. Can i confirm with you guys if the battery im purchasing from this e cell, is it usable? is it reliable?

The link you provided is no longer working, but if you are going to buy a battery, go for an OEM otherwise an Anker, Onite or Q cell. Those batteries all have pretty decent reviews.

so it is comtbile with our device or not ? i dont see N7100 mudel in your list

u guys need to stop promoting this expensive crap. I seen 5 different thread about this battery.

Look at the official picture, the top corner of the rear casing doesnt even fully make contact. Talk about $100 junk.

I had great experience with their extended battery for the Toshiba G900. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. The phone felt better in the hand too and was easier to grip. I'm interested in this. Personally I wouldn't knock them, unless you've had a bad experience. They always seem to be the leader in their field. Any problems and they would see you right. Even free delivery. Try before you cry.
This was the G900 one. (They even sent me 2 battery covers, after I asked them in the original email that I might have to paint it, as they didn't come in my phone's particular color.)

I emailed them a couple of days ago. They said the price is going up after Tuesday. But I'm sure they will meet you half-way. They seem to be that kind of company.

I'd buy because of the stand which I like. But the price is just ridiculous. 50$ would be my absolute maximum. Soon we have Note3 so why spending 20% of device cost on a battery (which has some lifetime).

Anybody wanting to get rid of there mugen battery for the note 2? (Dont care about the cover color) Im looking for one on ebay for $70 US dollars with shipping included to USA.

Supposed OEM 1800 mAh batteries on eBay?

This seller has up what look like and are listed as OEM 1800 mAh batteries for $5.98? If anyone knows anything about this seller or the authenticity of these batteries, that would rule.
These really seem too good to be true. That said, I'm ordering one. For six bucks, it's worth a shot.
Haha, apparently since this is my first post on here, I can't include a link. However if you just search eBay for the title of the listing, which is "1800mAh Replacement BATTERY HTC Droid Incredible Evo 4G" it's the only result.
VERY likely a Chinese crap battery. However, at that price, it'll still be good for a backup battery. It'll definitely hold at least as much as the stock one
I mean, I'm guessing that that's probably the case, however they are branded HTC, look exactly like the HTC batteries I have, the seller has sold over 600 of them and has a 99.4% feedback rating.
All of those things could really mean absolutely nothing, but it's worth a shot.
Oh definitely! I wish my Seido had the red HTC casing lol
Well at least you're not looking at it all the time. It's a little off topic, but how is that Seido battery treating you? I've just hung out with my standard 1300 mAh for too long, I'm sick of it. I've got an OEM 1500 mAh on the way and now this suspect one.
God the Seido 1750 is amazing. On Uber Z with included kernel I get from 7am-10pm with medium-heavy use and have 40-50% left (which I then promptly spend watching youtube vids and playing Angry Birds until 1am ) treating me pretty well, I'd say it's worth the money. I look at it often enough btw, I seem to have a nasty bug that whenever I toggle the WiFi on while doing something else, the phone has a 50/50 chance of stalling and needing a batt. pull -_-
Well, nevermind. Before I decided to order I thought I'd look at the seller's negative feedback. I found these three pieces of feedback on this battery:
"Removed sticker and noticed the battery was labeled at 1130mAh."
"Battery has yet to outlast OEM battery which is 1500mAh."
"Great Deal on product, different than advertised, 1800mAh was a 1250mAh instead"
So that's that, I suppose. All the good reviews are probably from people who didn't bother to check it out closely or test it before leaving feedback. I think I'll just put those six bucks toward a real OEM or Seido from a trusted source.
Wow good call. I got my Seido from the AndroidCentral store, got fast shipping on it under the standard option. I'd personally buy from them again, highly recommended.
Hm, that's an interesting problem. I can't think of how that could be caused by the battery though! I'll probably invest in one from them or find an 1800 mAh OEM battery that's not from a seller in Hong Kong off eBay for six bucks.
From what I've heard, the OEM batteries come in original 1300 and 2100, not at 1800. that's why I got the Seido. And that problem has nothing to do with the battery, I just do see the battery a lot
Haha, I totally misread that. Maybe you can find out where this guy is getting his red HTC stickers from.
And I've heard people talking about OEM 1500 and 1800 mAh batteries before...hmmm...
the 1800 mah i ordered from ebay seems to be good. lasts longer than the one which comes with the incredible for sure
You might have gotten lucky. What seller did you buy it from?

The 1500 could be the Evo battery. It fits in the Inc, so I've heard. I would like to someday upgrade my battery maybe the 1750...
Sent from my Droid Incredible running Myn's Warm Two Point Two RLS5.3.
I bought 2 of these from amor_istores and they both outlast my 1300mah and 1500mah batteries. I couldn't be happier. It took a while to get to Michigan from Hong Kong, but it was worth it. I stream Shoutcast or Pandora through it all day at work with a good signal. And yeah, it does look like a real HTC battery, but I highly doubt it.
Funny thing is, the postage added up to $8! Weird. I suggest buying it. That's just my opinion though..

Just ordered one. We'll see.
I just recieved an "OEM" 1500 mAh battery from a seller on eBay called "accessorymallonline" in the mail today. It was just over 8 bucks and I bought it right before I started this thread. It's charging right now, gonna charge it up to full, kill it and charge it all night so I can get a few cycles in it before trying it out tomorrow.
We'll see how it does compared to my standard 1300 mAh battery. Looking at it compared to my standard battery, there are some major differences in labeling and the way the label is laid out/stuck on the battery. I'm assuming this would be the same battery that ships with the Evo, I'm going to check out some pictures and compare them to what I recieved.
Battery feels solid, is slightly thicker than my standard battery, would look OEM if I didn't have a real HTC battery to compare it next to. Who knows, it could be, but I don't really think so.
Well, looking at the pictures on Android Central of their OEM HTC 1500 mAh battery, I'm inclined to say this is OEM. The quality is there, the battery actually feels better made than my standard 1300 mAh one.
There's not a detail missing from the battery when compared to the picture, really. They look identical. I wish I knew someone with an EVO so I could compare side by side. I have to wonder, could these actually be OEM?
I don't have any experience with extended batteries for the Incredible, but I highly suggest you check out this website. The extended battery market is notorious for misrepresentation.
A few years ago I did a battery test for a Samsung device (as a job assignment). We tested the stock battery against four eBay batteries that were selling for under $10 all claiming to be OEM. Every single eBay battery performed weaker than advertised. The best one was about 25% under its rating and the worst one about 60% under. I haven't trusted cheap batteries ever since...
Not saying that every seller out there is lying, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. Hope you're having a bettery experience with your purchase than we did with our Sammy batteries back in the day.

[Q] Extended Batteries

So I searched around and all I could find was one $80+ battery that came with a new back cover.
Anyone have better luck?

WP7 app testing... sorry
I believe the Samsung Captivate's battery (or any of the other Galaxy S batteries) will work with the Focus. There was a thread about it a few months ago but I couldn't find it and I have not tried it myself.
They do work, I use a spare battery I have from when I had a galaxy s on sprint.
Sent from my SGH-i917 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
I don't want a spare. I want one with double the capacity :-D
http://www.jpitta.com - Sent from my SGH-i917 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Mugen do a 1600mAh battery that uses the OEM battery cover and a 3200mAh battery (more than double the capacity) that comes with a replacement rear cover. Turns your beautiful slimline Focus into a brick tho'.
Also no way I'd be paying $100 for a spare battery, I'd rather buy a couple of stock spares to swap in for far less money and keep the beautiful profile of the Focus.
Just my 2c.
I didn't buy the focus because its thin. I bought it for the screen + expandable storage that doesnt work yet.
It'd still be nice to keep it as thin as possible though, right?
Either way, doesn't look like there are many options out there... The Focus seems like a fairly popular device all things considered, but HTC is simply dominating the WP7 market. Although there are a few Focus specific accessories out there, it looks like the phone may be doomed to seeing a $100 battery from Mugen Power alone :/
Wish there a few more options available. The stock battery is OK, but if you use your phone often, it isn't good enough. I have two extra batteries to help for that issue, but without an easy way to charge these extras, it gets annoying to keep them all full.

Would be interested to see how this holds up, seems like a pretty cheap battery if you ask me. I'm tired of sleeping over at my girlfriends and having my phone die because I don't have a charger for it and I've used it all day.

I wouldn't expect miracles. Maybe a maximum of 15-20% extra time, but I wouldn't stretch that far
.
On the website the description is more accurate, as on other webites you get "double the standby time and talk time" which is of course, not true.
Quote from Momax website:
* Use the highest-capacity batteries, long standby time, high stability, performance, consistent with the original.
* Advanced Lithium-ion technology, high performance output.
* Battery charging times of up to 500 times or more, environmental protection, and durable.
* Use imported IC components, precision protection circuit board prevents battery overcharge and the positive and negative transient short-circuit, safe, secure.
* Equipped with short-circuit. Overcurrent device in line with international safety standards.
* Production in line with ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 specifications.
Someone here at XDA bought one and I don't see any follow-up which makes me think there's nothing special to expect...
I wouldn't expect miracles either, however I use my phone a fair amount and I usually am forced to sleep with my phone off (which I hate doing). Enough to last through the night would be wonderful.

which extended battery for droid 3 ?

hello i want to buy a extended battery for my droid 3.
which one would you recommend for me ?
The only one I know of is a 1930mAH battery sold by Verizon wireless online. I would purchase it while logged into your account. I purchased one yesterday and I got 25% off while being logged in.
I would also purchase it now so they won't stop selling it when you want one. The d3 is mostly likely being discontinued this month.
I use Anker 1800mAh it's $6 on Amazon. It's a bit bigger than the stock battery but still fits with the battery back. There's a slight bulge but it's not an issue especially with a case. I can get a few more hours compared to the stock batterty.
damn, the problem is, i have no verizon wireless account.
i am from germany and i have a unlocked droid 3 which i bought over a kontact.

This original battery is a 1930 mAh Lithium Ion.
Extended battery is packaged with an extended battery cover.
Since upgrading, I have not once looked at my phone and needed to plug it in. I usually it use my phone all day before plugging it in while I sleep.

Can anyone recommend me a (slighly) extended battery that will fit with the stock cover?
Anyone?
I see batteries like this one:

Can these be trusted? They're only $4 including shipment, 1800mah BF5X
Or this one?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Red-1950mAh...469871?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3cbc6fa02f
1950mah BF6X?
Will these fit with the stock cover?
Also, some have
"Battery has a Power Rating between 1400mAh - 1950mAh."
So I have bad luck it might be worse than my stock battery?
Bump
Maybe I should start my own topic?
I use hyperions 3500 mah battery, its 16 bucks on amazon and has only died on me once throughout the day even after 6 months of usage.

amazon.co.uk "EC TECHNOLOGY 2X 1800mAh Li-ion Battery for Motorola Atrix 4G, ME860/MB860 Fits BH6X & 1X Multi-purpose USB Travel" (I'm not sure if this last one is compatible)

Well it depends if you want a thicker backcover or not. I got the motorola bf6x oem 1930mah and i think its the most that will fit the stockcover. For me its perfect because it was cheap, fits stock and is definitely better than my stock battery (although that one had a hole from 10% to 4% but nonetheless). Im not sure how the ebay non-oem are

Yes on ebay they are very expensive. I'm in europe and also need it shipped. Then suddenly i found one on amazon only €2 shipping
I got a 3500mAh off of eBay. For some reason the battery indicator is way off. It drops from 100-50 in one hour. Then from 50-15 is about most of the day. The weird this is, once it hits 5%, it stays on a long time. I tried to make it die by streaming HD video from YouTube for 2 hours but it wouldn't. Anyway to fix I this?

Mugen Power 3600mAh: AWESOME

I was, at first, dubious to spend $80 on a battery that physically fattens my phone by like 40%, but after my first full charge/discharge using Battery Monitor to track my progress, I am fully convinced of the value...

This was with moderate use; some gaming, some internet usage, a bunch of various phone calls, some navigation in my car, etc. Also a fair amount of sleep time, though. At no point did I turn the phone off however; it was powered on the entire time. Let's see... 2 Days (48hrs) plus 16.5hrs = about 65hrs total. plus the remaining 5% or so, equals, maybe 66 or 67 hours? On one single charge? Awesome.
I know your mileage may vary, depending on your phone usage habits, but I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed with the 3600mAh Mugen battery and definitely recommend it. I even actually like the way it makes my phone feel a little beefier in my hand, instead of like a scrawny little wafer; it makes it easier to grasp and type on. I also keep the fully-charged MOTO 1880mAh battery in my glove box for a backup as well, since it is worth a good 15-24 hours or so.
Any other good/bad experiences with batteries?
[EDIT] - Aw crap, I thought I was in the Droid 3 Accessories sub-forum, my bad... Can a mod maybe move this over there..? Thanks... 0.0
Even if it was 10000mah i'd still not use it because it makes already chunky phone twice as thick
Hell i was getting 3days on Liberty with the Motorola Extended Battery. Given I didn't use my phone all that much its still impressive.
I'd try Liberty or another custom GB rom, I'm sure you'll get even better.
Take a pic of the phone profile. Wanna see how fat your D3 is.

Does it get hotter than normal when you use it with games?
I live in Hawaii, so it pretty much always got hot during games; I haven't noticed it getting any hotter though.
It definitely fattens up the phone a bit, so if you're obsessed with a super-slim phone you might wanna stick with the previously-mentioned energy-efficient ROM and the slim 1880 MOTO battery (Or just buy a keyboardless ultra-slim phone). I like the thickness and super battery life though. Here's a few shots of it next to my wife's XPERIA Play, which, if you notice, is even fatter than my D3, and it only has a 2600mAh extended battery while mine has the 3600mAh...
Can you post a link to the aforementioned battery? I would like to purchase one as well.
If you root and install Liberty or Maverick. you'll sh*t yourself.

Here's one at the same price I bought mine for (They're usually $87 or $89 if you search)...

I would be happy with just a link to the battery and case the original poster purchased.

What are you talking about? there are several that will fit the stock cover.. like this one from Mugen themselfs
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MUGEN-POWER...640510?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3a6a8ba7be
Only 200 extra Mah?
EDIT: Did some math, its about 13% increase over stock. I guess it's noticeable.

you can get Mugen Droid 3 battery from official Mugen webshop
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/motorola/verizon-motorola-driod-3.html
they have 3600mAh (extra backdoor) and 1700mAh (original cover)
Plus FYI: Mugen gives 7% facebook discount.
And Mugen offers warranty and customer support if the item is purchased from their official website, which is always a good thing to rely on.
OK well, here's one more... Exactly 96 hours (4 days) since last charge with 1% battery left, although I rarely used the phone during this period because I was working a lot; it spent a lot of down-time sitting in a cubby-hole outside of the place I work because they have cell phone restrictions. I did use it for GPS a few times though, and played Trolls n Towers and Trial Xtreme 2 Winter for awhile, as well as your average phone calls and texting activity. It spent a lot of time sleeping, but still... four entire days for a fairly large touch-screen smart-phone on one charge. Not too shabby. In fact I think it's the best I've ever had on any phone/battery combo so far, personally.

Does anyone use cheap ebay batteries with XT862?

Hi.
I want to buy a new extended battery for my droid 3 because without WIFI I can't make the day on one charge.
Also, it skips from 10% to 4% in 1 second. (on all roms)
I'd prefer not to have a much thicker battery(case) but a little bit won't hurt. (so not the 3500 mah )
Anyway, I searched ebay and found many many batteries in the $3-6 range incl. shipment that claim to have 1800-2000mah:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Red-1950mAh...469871?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3cbc6fa02f
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-1800mah...579346?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4ab4b8a3d2
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Replace...962837?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4ab65a7a95
Surely these can't be 'real'? They must be like 1000mAh, if any?
Does anyone have experience with these cheap batteries? If so, which one?
I know some have anker 1800 but they don't ship outside the US.
Thanks
Found and ordered an OEM motorola BX6F for €10 on amazon (they are 50€ on ebay).
Let's see whats what
How is the new battery working out? I'm thinking of getting one.

I don't know yet.. It's been shipped from the USA but it says ETA augustus 14 - augustus 30
Well the battery already arrived (less than 1 week!!)
It's a tight fit with the stock battery cover but it fits.:good:
Charging right now (was @20%), will let you know how it performs. It's 1930mah (1880mah min.)
I would NEVER EVER use cheap, third-party batteries! I bought my spare battery from Expansys Germany, it's of course more expensive, BUT it's original!
Here you go: http://www.expansys.de/motorola-defy-battery-207650/ (Yes it's the Defy Battery )
My battery lasts for about 16 hours a day with heavy use of FM-Radio, WiFi, Emulators, Browsing etc. I always keep my spare battery in my pocket

I tried a cheap ebay battery that cost 4$ or so and it didnt fit.
Looks like you got a good one.
I've always purchased my goodies from eBay because I never liked going to shop for them.. x3
Just shop around, look at the images, and read the descriptions. I've never had problems, though the batteries I purchased recently were for my old D2G. I received two of them from China with what looked like a custom-built battery charger and.. Well. A year later everything was still discharging and charging properly, no qualms! :]
If it looks shady, skip it and go to the next listing, basically.
Been using it for couple of days now. Wasn't able to make a battery usage screenshot because every day I either charged it or rebooted my phone causing the recording to mess up.
Anyway it's definitely an improvement over my stock battery. Had a heavy-usage (3G only) day at work yesterday (quiet day ) and before I had to charge my droid 3 coming home. Now, it had 40% left :good::laugh:
I'll try to make a screenshot soon.
You said you got it on Amazon? Requesting link, plz~ :3

How about this one, looks like it should fit the stock cover:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-2300m...018?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item19cf728fc2
2300MAh
unfortunately, I had to return my recently bought milestone 3...
so i've got 2 extra batteries for noting (bought at the same time)
If soemone in Europe needs, are for sell
The batteries are very good and are in perfect conditions (99% new), I didn't use the original battery BF5X because the duration was too short in comparison. Those batteries fit with the original cover back
Droid 3 battery
Stop looking further, Get the OEM size ANKER 1800MAH battery
i have tried all kinds of battery, even the thick 3800 or 3600( i dont remember exactly ) from ebay, but its still nothing compared to the 1800 Anker battery
There is also a 2800 MAH version available, get 2 of those, and ur ready to go into the desert for survival mode
Get it, and this thread can be closed here!:cyclops:
I do, I bought an extended battery. I have my good days and my bad ones
I stil sell two new anker 1800....
