Hello there.
I was curious if themes on this forum section can be ported/used to N21 phone which uses standard Android system?
Because i liked many of themes here but cannot figure out how to get them on my N21 phone.
Any responses will be highly appreciated, and sorry if it's irrelevant post here.

i doubt they'd work ... if you need to hack an android phone .. you should always go with an HTC device... prefereably one that runs stock android ..

I saw the metamorph post here, and i thought... I have the rom of N21 the modified one, can I use metamorph or something else to modify the design of that specific ROM ?

I would go in the metamorph thread and ask those guys some questions ..
I used metamorph and one theme a guy gave me, and it changed my taskbar to black and selection to green which is a good thing, i would like some more tweaking of this particular phone if its possible, if anyone knows anything related.
And one more question, by using metamorph can I break something on my device?

There are some ROMs around that are deodexed and zipaligned. The ROMs around here unfortnately are themed (not to my taste) and/or have removed Samsung stuff that i use. I want a nearly untouched FW (i remove a few Samsung apps on my own).
So i'm searching for an automated method (that can also be used for future FWs) to deodex and zipalign the files of my phone (maybe only some binaries or java applications and a batch file).
I can manage to pull/push all files from/to /system/app and /system/framework but i'm not able to do the rest...
Also very interested in this. Or a clean kitchen or a how to on making a kitchen to mod our roms.

I just wanted to create a thread about MODIFYING / CREATING CUSTOM ROMS FOR THE i9000.
Does anyone know how to modify (for example, Tayutama's JPM Full ROM) ROMs?
I googled and just found some HTC ROM HowTo's.
Check my signature for all the tools u shud need in terms of deodexing, editing apks, creating signed update.zip. Thats all you really need i think :\

What firmware/rom are you using?
There appears to be an issue with the Gallery that comes with JPO/JPA version of froyo for some people. (I'm one of them, and I "discovered" the fix, LOL.)
Anyways, we discussed it in the Doc/Kalpik rom thread in the development section, but the solution is pretty simple:
Use Titanium Backup, or Root Explorer or whatever method you're comfortable with to delete the installed Gallery from your phone. Then go to the market and download the Gallery3d app (author Rayman50). Problem solved. If you have trouble finding that in the Market, there's a ClockWork ROM manager flashable version posted by DocRambone in the 2nd or 3rd post of his thread.
You could probably also just pull the Gallery3d.apk out of any firmware where this isn't a problem and push it to the phone.
Is there any solution for blocking the conversion from SMS to MMS when you create messages longer than 160 characters ? I simply hate this "feature" that Samsung implemented. And No, I don't want to use third party apps. I want the stock one. I sow that some custom roms have the so called SMS Hack; Is this what resolves the problem? Is so, can't someone make a modified apk that we can install ?
Sorry if it's a stupid question. But it really bothers me and i think i'm not the only one.

It is a mod m8,,, you need to hack stock SecMms.apk with its odex file if you are on stock ROM (there is already thread on how to do that)

I believe it can happen but it will need a lot of SystemUI.apk editing, can't help you with that! Try another section that has devs and stuffz!
