(Q) my software of phone is not updating please help !!

My Lg O2x is on 2.2.2 v10d India I wanted to update it from 10d to 10e but when starts updatingbthrough pc it staks at 4% n after some time it says remove battery n switch off b switch on n tryagain i did twice or thrice it again staks at 4% n not update can anyone tell me why its not updating is it bcoz my phone is rooted or what reason or if any one knows where i can find 10e file for download then i flash it from cwm ! Please kindly help me i will always be thankful for you !!

Same thing happened to me. The solution to fix it was to hard reset the device prior to update.(Make a backup if you choose this way). If Anyone in this forum can suggest a less “painful” way ….

press volume down and hold it while you connect your usb cable to pc.

I have EU O2X updated via LG Soft to 10E (automatically) and the phone began still just rebooted. I returned to 10D

How did you return to 10D?

I have the same problem,too.Because iwant to overclock my v10d optimus 2x so I try to flash neoblaze kernal.But option failed.Then I try to flash lge version from v10d to v10e,but what too bad is that my phone
can't reboot to main screen.And can't enter s/w update！Then i serch the internet it says that i need to flash nvflash,OK,then i try to flash nvflash...At last my phone restore to the original state:-I

The LG software never worked for me, it always (and i mean always) lose connection with the phone and once it stopped during the process my phone was bricked. Nvflash does the job properly

[Q] Bricked my X8, complete brick.

I unplugged my phone when the flashtool told me to.
Now i can't boot my phone, can't even get to the SE logo.
I tried everything i could found.
SEUS, PCC <- neither worked.
As for flashing, same error, turn on unknown sources and debugging.
Help please..

Are you sure that it´s just a battery problem?
Try to charge the phone.

Sorry I would answer if I knew except I just dont know a thing on flashtools cuz I rooted my x8 via superoneclick

Tried to. Didn't work..
My phone vibrates when i power on, thats it lol..

While the phone opens hold down back botton... this open the phone in an other way... no bootlogos and other...

Well tried everything.
I think it's in the 'press back button' mode, cause it automatically bypasses the pop up screen in flash tool.
I reinserted the battery several times as well. Same thing, vibrates continuously if i kept pressing the power button. Oh and the green led flashes when it's vibrating.

Tried everything in the thread..

...i recomend you to retry everithing... that is all we have...
(unplug everithing from batery,sd card and sim card)
only usb cable....
it seams you are in flash mode...
one time i manage to boot xrecovery from my bricked phone after many reboots, if you do it install rom from there.
also try from other pc, from other usb input on pc.
it dont sound like full brick... i think
try every thing even if you are sure it will fail.

But i can't see my SE logo.. I'm guessing that my screen is somehow corrupted?

Oh and i can't boot up at all.
The vibration and green led light comes up continuously if i kept on pressing the power button.

Do not worry... you just need to update your phone with Sony Ericsson's update service. If you had search the general section you could have found how to fix your phone... take a look at here:

I think the best choice is flashtool.
You just download the original firmware that you want (1.6/1.6 chinese/2.0/2.1/2.1 chinese) and flash it directly.
Flashtool also has the advantage that you can flash the baseband (if you already have iton your PC) right after the firmware.

His problem is that SEUS wont work, if YOU had read through the posts you would have seen this.

I saw from another thread that if the SD card was used for App2SD before, it can fuxk up the phone after falling back to stock rom.
Mind to take out the SD, or reformat it before start up the phone?

i think, you should retry SEUS method again. i bricked my phone last time and SEUS seems did not work for me. i tried for few time until somehow it works.

A SD card with two partitions, can negatively affect when install a custom ROM on the phone?
If so, I think I know what's going on here...

It shouldn't.. Lots of people have 2 partitions and never had problems

My LG OB bricked? :(

hello everybody. i have problem... today i restart my lg ob after changing theme in nova script(i had nova v8) and after this restart phone does not goes to the system. Its restarts normal, i saw lg logo but after that, instead of bootanimation i saw black screen with blinking touch keys(menu, home, back, search). I pulled of battery for few seconds and put it back...turn on phone and...the same... :/ next i goes to emergency recovery and flash nova8 again and guess what? still the same!!!! after lg logo black screen with blinking touch keys! i tried to flash stock s/w with kdz updater, i tried 10a and 10e version and still the same! do u have maybe some other ideas how can i try to flash this that would maybe help me? or maybe i have to sent phone to service?

but now i dont have nova or cwm recovery ;/

try hard reset (search for it )

Download LGMobile Update http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111771 in this Update Kit. Then turn of phone, pull of battery and press and hold Vol+ button and plug in USB and then in LGMobile Update click on "Custommer Support" and Recovery Phone. Write your IMEI and click check. It can take a lot of time because it will download a new firmware.

yep..i've done this twice but no luck ;/

Send phone to service, they will change your mainboard or they will give you new phone.

nah, keep on holding that volume up then plug in the USB. have you installed the USB drivers?

Turn your phone off. Use eRecovery! Turn phone on then repeatedly hit Vol Down key then do factory reset. If no luck use KDZ updater.

yes, i plug usb cable to device with holding vol+ and 'sw upgrade, please wait...' screen appear. I tried again few minutes ago with kdz updater and via lg mobile update phone recovery and no luck. Phone is rebooting (black screen with blinking touch keys) when installing software on 90% ;/ of course installing software goes to 100% and says its completed and ok, but phone reboots on 90% ;/. I have installed all drivers, i tried on my laptop (win7) and my dad (win xp).

it's normal reboot on 90% and next go to 100%, i do that with windows XP and work...

so maybe its normal, but really...i've tried a couple of times with kdz and phone recovery by lg mobile and still the same, black screen, blinking touch keys. And i dont have eRecovery any more beacause i flashed stock s/w but it dont work ;/

that's a big hello of a problem.... I jonno what else u can do... if I were u then I would flash it again and again... then maybe for the customer care center... although I think ur warranty is being voided so u will not be able to repair it for free... let's hope for the best and let us know what happens next... best of luck...

+1 for this. Flash and flash. Try upgrading to V10E via KDZ. Me thinks it's a bootloader problem. Does LG SECURITY TEAM appears or not?

yeah..i flashed this several times...with kdz updater and by lg mobile update->phone recovery. I flashed 10A and 10E...results the same. I dont know how LG SECURITY TEAM looks like but i didnt see anything else besides LG LOGO--> Black screen with blinking touch keys and just Black screen with blinking keys (even without lg logo). I give up with this, there is no hope for this phone i think, today im sending this to the service. Thanks for helping me i will certainly write here what happend if i get phone back

i have a problem.
i was on v28g first generation rom and today i tried to upgrade to second generation.
i nvflashed the second generation rom, the phone started, no problem. after a while, the phone freezes and i had to pull off the battery because the phone doesn't respond to any command.
since then my phone is dead, don't want to start, nothing.
i tried to nvflash the first and the second generation rom, but the process is stopping at "waiting for bootloader to initialize".
i tried to nvflash a froyo/gb rom but i had the same issue.
smartflash don't works
the pc don't recognize the phone
the phone is dead dead dead
any idea?

i'm not an expert, but i've been following the development since a while. you can try a few things...
1 - try to nvflash from another pc
2 - open the file as pc administrator
3 - nv flash an old gb rom

Did you try a hard rest? Usually it works...

i tried a hard reset (both methods) but the phone is dead, does not react.

O2 is literally unbrickable....

after connecting your phone in APX mode (battery out, hold both volume + and - then plug in USB) put battery in again and use nvflash.
My P990 has this problem too, need to put battery back in to use nvflash.

I've been through some similar experience after flashing v28 leak ICS.
I wanted to come back to CM7 or the stock LG ROM.
The only method that worked is this described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970979
It uses nvflash to flash an old version of LG stock ROM. After that you can update it however you want.
You will have to root your device again after this.

Its just network/USB cable problem.. replace USB cable. it will work.

guys, I tried EVERY method, unsuccessfully.
same message "waiting for bootloader to initialize"

Maybe the battery?

when you use nvflash the baterry must be pulled off, so i guess it has nothing to do.

man.. you "can't brick" your phone....it will always be able to get into nvflash mode.. and this is the way out.

Maybe your phone is tired of always reFLASHing. Give it a break perhaps

O2x is unbrickable !
Use progmaq-default-cm-10 to return to CM10 with old bootloader ...

tried that too (proqmag, homero etc), the phone is f*****g dead, no sign of life, all the nvflashes stucks at "waiting for the bootloader to initialize", i tried on different pc's, i don't know what else to do....

Its maybe 4 months since she bricked her OB to death:

LG service center is toooo far because its a 10 hour drive to nearest LG service center.... (mainly becuse of Poverty)

have you tried to download LG Mobile Support Tool?
Install it, Open it then remove the battery for a second, put it back long press on VOLUME UP while inserting USB CABLE then on top of that tool look for RECOVERY enter your phone's IMEI and Model press OK and wait.. .

hi i also have the same problem but in my case i can put the phone in s/w upgrade mode and when its in update process already it stop and says restart and when i restart it it says the same again,i try it already for many times but still it says restart,what should i do?

Use smartflashtool and maybe check your drivers and if you are able to, try it at another pc as well.
