Zagg Flex Keyboard/Stand - Nexus 10 Accessories

Heres a great deal I found on the Zagg Flex Keyboard/Stand. It costs 79.99 on their site. Sometime for 69.99 when on sale. Amazon has it for 57.28 on their site. But heres the real deal:
http://www.all4cellular.com/product/zagg-zaggkeys-flex-bluetooth-keyboard-bulk.html
ONLY 34.99 while supplies last because of overstock. If you look at the value this was a deal breaker I could not pass up. I paid 2$ sipping so my total was 36.99. If you look at the reviews the build quality and features are top notch. I'll use this for the keyboard and continue using my 10" Belkin neoprene case for transporting the tablet until the smartcover officially from Samsung (Still Hopeful) drops.
Good luck for those of you interested in a keyboard.
Heres a link to their commercial:

Wow. This is a steal. If I didn't have one already, I'd get one. I bought one at 80, and I don't regret it, thought I wouldn't have minded to save a bit of money.
This keyboard is amazing and works almost perfectly out of the box. But when you combine this keyboard with this app, you will actually want to use your N10 for productivity. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apedroid.hwkeyboardhelper
I don't work for Zagg nor am I the dev of this app FYI.

Just ordered one & they gave me free shipping.
Regards and thanks for the tip.

Wish I had seen this thread earlier, pick one up on amazon for $55. It's really a great keyboard and highly recommended for anyone looking for a lightweight and durable keyboard for their n10.

Yes, but that's an issue with all bluetooth keyboards and 4.2. Had nothing to do with zagg

Nice find! Just paid $31.16 for mine and I can't wait! :good:

I picked one up at Target, and while it performed well it just felt exceedingly cheap to me. The plastic case didn't have any structure to it and warped easily unless I was using it on a desk. Typing with they keyboard balanced on the arm of the sofa (for example) just didn't work for me. It has since been returned and I'm looking into other keyboard options.

Thanks for the find. Just ordered and was able to use the 20% off promo code someone else posted.

Damn, wish I had a extra $31.

Is anyone trying to order from overseas and having problems? Sometimes the site shows a shipping quote, sometimes it wont, it doesnt except my credit card and when i use paypal, it doesnt add any shipping costs.
All in all it would be a great deal, even with the $30 shipping costs, it's still almost half the price of what i pay in europe.

I've tried twice to buying one (shipping to Spain) but, despite in their FAQ they say they can, their website wasn't allowing me t get one. I had no quote for shipping.
Anyone managed to? Quite interested in one of these.

Nook or Tab?
Not sure if that tab requires some kind of activation or not? Read some reviews/videos lastnight comp Tab vs. Nook and the tab usually wins on most based on "out of box" exp. Don't think they had the latest tweeks on the nooks though. And most where comparing the Tab wi-fi only which is actually downgraded frim 3G one in a few ways.
Can live fine w/ GPS tether, no camera. Get by without actual buttons ok. Better dev here and build quality, and I'm getting used to the dpi and actually like it.

AT&T is selling a refurbished galaxy tab for $250, no contract. The only requirement is you have to buy a month of service, which can easily be canceled and refunded with a polite call to AT&T customer service.
My conclusion: DON'T BUY THE WIFI VERSION. Just don't. It is a scaled down version of the cellular version. So for the same price as the wifi one, why not? Also, both the nook and galaxy tab have great hacking communities so ROMs are plentiful in both cases, it just depends on whether the spec bump is worth it.

Just curious if anyone with a refurbished nook has noticed any screen defects like dust under the screen or stuck pixels. I know I went through 4 nooks with screen defects before I got one without any problems. I know others have had similar issues. Wondering if a lot of these refurbished nooks are these returned ones.

Blurex Cases With Keyboard

Recently I emailed Blurex. I knew from the other post here that they would be making cases for the N7 and I wanted to know if they would make a case with a BT Keyboard like the one I had previously. I also decided to have a little fun with them because they usually love this as it breaks up the boredom of their crappy jobs. Here is the conversation.
My letter:
Name: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Company Name:U.S. Air Force
Company Url:We INVENTED the Internet!(with help from Al Gore)
Message: Hello! I love your cases and have purchased by my admittedly
completely inaccurate estimate at least 2 million of them. I am wondering if
you would be making a case for my shiny new Google Nexus 7(which apparently
will never ship). I would be particularly interested in one which had your
awesome Bluetooth Keyboard bundled with it!

The reply:
Dear XXXXXXXX,
You are a fantastic writer! You really get your personality through. Thank you 2 million times over for a great e-mail, and o-yah, your interest in our products. We are making a cased for your never been shipped(but will surely get to you)Nexus 7. I do apologize, but it will not be a keyboard case.
I will be sure to keep you posted.
Have a great day,

Suh-weet. How is that really nice case on 6 bucks AFTER shipping? Doesn't matter. I got myself one before they realized how much money they've gotta be losing, haha. Nice find, man.
well it was originally listed at $299.99, was supposed to be $29.99. They went back and fixed it to say $4.06 now. Guess they've been drinking! Or maybe a couple people accidentally bought at 299 and they felt bad so they gave a steep discount for a time.

If he's your best friend, just give it to him for free. If he's a good friend, $165 is a good price, I just bought one for that price. If he's a crappy friend, $180-$200 depends on the condition of the phone. I would only pay $200 for a Nexus S if it has original box, accessories, and at least 9/10 condition though. Just make sure its a one time payment only.

Buy from XDA or Swappa, avoid ebay for used phones if you can unless there are lots of photos and a detailed description, speaking from experience here.
I snagged one up on ebay for 120 they have been going for less nowa days. 150 wouldn't be bad..
That is a bit low for a good quality GSM version, I can understand the Sprint version being that low.

Really I love this phone but I just picked one up for $75 on Craig'slist. Its my second nexus s4g because my last ones power button died. But let's be honest the hardware is being pushed to its limit and for the same $165 with some searching you could find a galaxy nexus. Like I said I love this phone and wouldn't trade it for anything but the price is kinda high.

I think you should give him this at 165$ because he will feel glad and There's noot mych Difference between 165$ and 200$.Business with the whole world but not with your Friends...So Give him this at 165$ and he would get happy Too.Now all Depends On You.
i think 165$ is fine, in my country the used nexus s (97-98%) with box and accessories is only 150$ because it's m200s :good:
i think that 165 $ are a good price! in Italy Nexus S is sell at 179€
Good is good...but with 80$ plus you can find the Galaxy Nexus so if you have to sell it 165$ is a good price
I plaid $40 for mine, 2 weeks old from my friend, just the phone though.

The CDMA (Sprint) version is way cheap, but the GSM is easily $150. I just spent the last couple weeks shopping for one and, yes, the bidding IS ruthless. You will be VERY hard pressed to find a good condition GSm Nexus S for less than $150. It's not impossible, but you would have to have the cash on hand and be very patient.
What you will not find, though, is even a Sprint version for $60. Well, not one that works anyways.

Thank you for the input. A local consumer electronics store "Best Browse" may have a 7 inch net book around. Probably comparable in size. I think I'll give that a shot to see how cramped it may be. Worst case scenario I'll have a $25-$30 hard shell case. Best case scenario it is a decent keyboard to get some typing done when there isn't a full keyboard around.

I work in a store that sell elektronic accesories and we have this for the ipad. It's quite good quality. But the pad is quite unprotected when folded.
I have only tested it a few times and can't speak anything about battery time.

Different tablet, different size, etc. There are a lot of factors that can determine it. The blatantly obvious one would be that the Nexus 7 is 7' not 10 with the iPad.
I'm interested in one, however I'm waiting for reviews to appear. If it turns out to work great, I'll get one to take notes in class with.

This thread is a place for New Zealand Nexus 4 owners, or wanna-be owners to discuss/report/speculate on, or just chat about our phones.
I've compiled a list of options showing where/how we can purchase the Nexus 4 in New Zealand...
Expert Infotech (Updated 15/7/2013)
16GB Black Nexus 4 $548.06 NZD

2degrees Online Shop (Updated 22/7/2013)
16GB Black Nexus 4 $499 NZD

Warehouse Stationary (Updated 15/7/2013)
16GB Black Nexus 4 $699 NZD

MobiCity NZ (Updated 15/7/2013)
16GB Black Nexus 4 $678.86NZD

Here is the US GooglePlay Option...
Nexus 4 from Google Play USA (Updated 30/1/2013) This option involves using:
A VPN (recommend Tunnelbear), http://www.tunnelbear.com/
A parcel forwarding service in the US - NZ Post have YouShop http://www.nzpost.co.nz/products-services/online-shopping/youshop (It's worth noting that some members here have had a very mediocre experience with YouShop lately - One has even had his phone stolen after arriving in the YouShop warehouse! This is not indicative of everybody's dealings with them, but I would recommend caution with this option. There are plenty of other companies which may give you a better end result).
Setting up your Google Wallet with the YouShop address in the US (or whatever the address is of your Parcel Forwarding company)
I have read that some people have set up entirely new Google Accounts, so that may also help...
Finally you'll need a whole lot of luck - this seems to have worked for a few people, but not others.
16GB Black Nexus 4 (Ships in 1-2 weeks) $349 USD Shipping costs in the US $15 USD Shipping to NZ via Youshop $15 USD GST/DUTY $87 USD Total Cost $465 USD or $567 NZD
8GB Black Nexus 4 (Ships in 1-2 weeks) $299 USD Shipping costs in the US $15 USD Shipping to NZ via Youshop $15 USD GST/DUTY $0 Total Cost $329 USD or $401 NZD
The US Google Play Store is by far and away the cheapest option available, so if you can do this option, I would recommend you give it a go.
Here are some links to the cases and screen protectors I have on my Nexus 4...
Cases:
SF Matte Black - Rearth Ringke SLIM for LG Google Nexus 4 Soft Feeling Premium Hard Case - ECO Package [Revised Version] $9.99 USD Standard Shipping (averages 10-16 business days) $12.00 USD Total Cost $20.99 USD or $26 NZD (I have a white and a black one of these - seem pretty good so far. Light and slim. There's a minor fitment issue with the original batch of these, but the manufacturers have since revised it and they are replacing the defective ones for free)

Screen Protectors:
Google Nexus 4 Screen Protector Steinheil Dual $13.99 USD Shipping $5.04 USD Total $19.03 or $23 NZD (I have used SPG for all my phones screen protectors and they have been great. This one for the Nexus 4 has a front and back screen protector)

Good to know I am not the only one suffering. So far it seems you have already reached into most of the options, I also thought about YouPost but the amount of work required not to mention the added costs, I don't think its worth it. I am just hoping that stocks arrive at the parallel imported sites and the price isn't too hefty. I wish us kiwis weren't discriminated by Google, they have a lot of potential customers here in NZ.
Im also waiting impatiently. I guess we just have to wait, New zealand is such a tiny market compared to other countries. Im keeping an eye out for overseas stores that will ship here to get stock

Ordered two via YouShop. I'm lucky, haven't received any of those delayed stock emails, but haven't received a shipping email either. I'll keep you updated if everything goes swell

Me too!!! We should hopefully know more about the price from the parallel imported stores in the next week or two. Google is potentilally missing out by not offering us (and other countries) these services (I guess it's us who ultimately miss out though)!. We may not have the biggest market, but we would be loyal! I'd also love to be able to buy my music from the playstore instead of itunes. I already have 4500 songs uploaded to google music in anticipation of having to downgrade storage on my phone from 16GB internal and 64GB external to the 16GB of the nexus 4, but I don't have the new phone to stream it on!

If you find out anything it would be great if you could keep us in the loop.

Great stuff!!! Did you use a NZ credit card with the YouShop address attached to it? Looking forward to the updates. Good to know some of us got lucky...
I'm a bit worried about the price because of what happened with the nexus 7,
I got all excited about a cheap tablet then it ends up being almost as much as an ipad.

Yeah, just a mastercard.. but still currently in "limbo"
So gutted that I didnt get mine. Had my sister in the US getting me one but said she kept getting errors. Guess I'm going to have to wait 2months or so before stock becomes stable enough.

We can only hope that we don't have to wait that long...my guess is we'll get a very limited supply through the parallel importers. The question will be, who is willing to pay the price they are asking....

I reckon you would be best to hold out for the nexus 4. If you're willing to wait a little bit longer then it looks like sony might actually be bringing out a flagship model that will compete directly with the iphone 5 and SGS3 while still being very compatible with the custom rom community...that being said, I know I don't want to wait and I'd love to get my hands on a nexus 4 tomorrow!...
Still no update in regards to availability in NZ...any new info to add guys? :banghead:

So I messaged LG and asked when they expected to be selling the device in NZ and the reply was they had no idea when or if they would be selling it here. That leaves this in the hands of parallel importers which will be random and pricey.
Started looking on eBay in US and Aus but it was all getting to hard but then as luck would have it I saw someone listing one on TradeMe for $735 and I just had to have it so I used the buy now lol I think this might end up being a good price for this device I just can't wait to get my hands on it.

Great stuff mate! I had a look there this morning and didn't see anything... otherwise I would have done that myself....
My 2 Nexus 4's just shipped to YouShop. Hopefully they come without any issues.
I think ill end up forking out for a parallel import for the sake of a warrantee

Good stuff. 8 or 16GB models? If you have a spare 16GB and feel like selling, I'd be keen to make an offer

I think that'll be the only way I'll get my hands on one as well. Unless by some miracle they release more on the Aussie play store and i can get my brother to get one in time. I see in the Aussie thread some one reported that the bumpers were available again...I've already got a SGP screen protector on its way... just no phone to put it on right now

Tell me about it. My cousin is on standby to buy this phone for me. Only problem would be if stock runs out again or it doesnt ship to her by the 21 december for the flight back to nz. I will uterly pissed if either of those situations occur. I already gave her the money for it
